Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok — A True Gem for Halal-Conscious Travelers Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok proudly stands as one of the city’s few hospitality-halal-certified Sharia hotels, offering both comfort and peace of mind to Muslim travelers. Its location is another strong point — within comfortable walking distance from Ramkhamhaeng ARL Station, giving easy access to the airport and central Bangkok, yet pleasantly away from the city’s notorious traffic snarls. The hotel embraces an Arabian-inspired aesthetic throughout, from its architecture and décor to the naming of its halls and spaces. There’s even a boutique oud and Arabian fragrance shop inside, which adds a lovely touch of authenticity and aroma. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, radiating genuine Thai hospitality with Islamic sensibilities. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The price range leans toward mid-upper, so it may not be the most budget-friendly option, but the comfort, service, and halal assurance make it well worth the value. Amenities are on par with other hotels in the same class, and the halal breakfast buffet is a definite highlight — a generous spread that spans Western, Indian, Arabian, and Malay cuisines, each well-prepared and flavorful. While the room corridors might appear a little understated or “drab” to some, I personally found the subdued tones calming — a quiet contrast to Bangkok’s usual buzz. All things considered, Al Meroz Hotel delivers a serene, halal-conscious experience wrapped in elegance and warmth — a perfect stay for travelers seeking both faith-friendly comfort and urban convenience.

I had a wonderful stay at Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok. The hotel is beautifully designed with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were courteous and always ready to help, making my stay very comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The food, especially the halal buffet, was excellent with a great variety of choices. Overall, Al Meroz Hotel offers exceptional value and hospitality — I’d gladly stay here again on my next visit to Bangkok.

Booked this hotel as my parents wanted to try it out since it’s the leading Halal hotel. But the service greatly disappointed me.We arrived early, and our rooms were available but was told to pay 1000thb per room to check in early. Mind you we were only 4 hours early. I’ve never heard of having to pay to check in early when rooms are available. I understand having to check in after 2pm to clean the rooms if they’re not ready yet but if rooms are available then why can’t we check in yet?Nevermind then - when we checked in, we also requested for late checkout as my parents had to pray. We were granted till 1pm - which was great. But on the day of our checkout, another staff called our room at 12pm asking why we haven’t checked out and when we told her we requested for late checkout she said there was no record and proceeded to act really rudely to us. Called again afterwards to reconfirm with another staff and checked out at 1pm.Breakfast was not bad, the usual buffet breakfast at a hotel. No bathrobe, slippers or toothbrushes - need to self request. Slippers were ultra thin like paper so bring your own. Shampoo and soap bottles were also super small.Overall a 6/10 for me. Service needs to be more consistent. The bellboys and housekeeping staff were great but workers at the reception need more training.

I’d like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the team at Al Meroz Hotel in Bangkok, with a very special mention to Giant, the front desk manager, who truly stands out for his exceptional service. Before our trip, we had read glowing reviews about Giant—and he absolutely lived up to every word of praise.||From the moment we arrived, Giant was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. He helped us arrange a room change to one with a disabled-friendly toilet for my husband, ensuring we were comfortable and well cared for. He also went the extra mile by connecting us with David, a helpful and reliable van driver who assisted us throughout our stay, making travel around the city much easier. In addition, Giant helped us arrange for massage services, which was a thoughtful touch that added to our comfort and relaxation.||Eddie, the friendly bellboy, also deserves a mention for his cheerful attitude and help with our luggage.||The breakfast buffet was generally good, offering a decent variety. However, the fried rice and glass noodles were quite bland and could use more flavor. When we shared this feedback, the restaurant manager didn’t seem to take it seriously and barely acknowledged our comments. A more open and approachable attitude—perhaps even just a smile—would have made the dining experience more pleasant.||Despite that, our overall stay was smooth, restful, and memorable, thanks largely to the exceptional service from Giant and the support of staff like Eddie. Al Meroz Hotel is highly recommended, especially for those looking for thoughtful, personalized hospitality.

This was our first time staying at Al Meroz Hotel, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding. All the staff, regardless of their roles, were consistently friendly, welcoming, courteous, and helpful. Their sincere customer service made us feel genuinely valued. They went the extra mile to recommend shopping destinations, gave helpful tips on which malls to visit, and even advised us on the best timing to explore Chatuchak Market — a thoughtful touch for first-time visitors like us.As a leading halal hotel in Bangkok, Al Meroz is both convenient and comfortable for Muslim travelers. One gesture that really touched us was when the hotel prepared bento breakfast sets for us to bring to the airport due to our early morning flight change (from 17:50 to 07:45). It may seem small, but it meant a lot to us.We truly appreciated the hospitality and thoughtful service throughout our stay. I’ll definitely be recommending Al Meroz Hotel to family and friends. A wonderful experience!

I had a wonderful stay at Meroz Hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Giant, Anuchit, and Eddy, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with an impressive selection of fresh, juicy fruits and vegetables. I especially loved that steamed yam and sweet potatoes were served daily.||The housekeeping service was also efficient and highly attentive to all my requests, always responding promptly. Staying at Meroz Hotel truly made me fall in love with Bangkok, and I would definitely choose to stay here again 🥰

Terrible Experience – Never Stay Here||||Our stay at Al Meroz Bangkok was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. When we returned to our room, we were shocked to find the door left open and a watch missing. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, the hotel staff added insult to injury.||||At checkout, when we complained, the staff accused us of stealing their bed linen cover (the middle liner). They even forced us to open all our bags for inspection in front of them – nothing was found, of course – but the entire process was humiliating and insulting.||||This hotel not only failed to provide basic safety and security but also treated us with complete disrespect. There is nothing special about this place to justify such horrible service and accusations.||||I strongly advise everyone to avoid Al Meroz Bangkok – if you value your belongings, your dignity, and a respectful experience, stay somewhere else.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and truly unique. Nice smell of Oud. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the breakfast was excellent, the best part is knowing it’s serving 100% halal food. Although hotel’s location is not really a big plus, but, it’s close to many halal restaurants, making dining choices easy and convenient. Overall, Al Meroz is more than just a place to stay, it’s an experience that combines comfort, hospitality, and Islamic values. I highly recommend it to any Muslim traveller visiting Bangkok.
