"Enjoy excellent local hams and salami and other delicious regional specialities in this welcoming restaurant. The room with the typical fogolar stove is particularly charming, as is the one embellished with the fresco of Bacchus; the romantic terrace in the historic palazzo’s inner courtyard is also perfect in fine weather. Five delightful apartments with a mezzanine and cooking area are also available." - Michelin Inspector

Super tasty Italian food! One of the best restaurants I have been in Italy. The atmosphere is very cosy, specially in their little yard. And the food is top! Really tasty and with a great variety of wines to try. The only little bad thing is that not all the waitresses speak english, although that makes it feel more original.

We found this restaurant by searching the best of Cividale on the internet. On a Saturday 7 pm we arrived without reservation and were very happy to get a spot in the cozy patio! The service was fantastic (one waitress even spoke German and explained the entire menu to us) and the food was delicious. Prosciutto crudo great as expected, the cheese platter was VERY hefty (only for the cheese lovers), Zucchini Spaghetti Carbonara was awesome but also very hearty and salty. My pasta Bolognese with truffles also was great. We had yet another great meal with a ham wrapped steak and wine sauce; can't recall the name though. Overall the meals were heftier than expected...so in the end we ordered a bit too much. But we took our time and just calmly went along with one or the other glass of wine. All of the served wines (Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon barrique) were good. Long story short: would definitely recommend and come again :)

I ate lunch here with my husband and it was so good! It’s AIC certified and since I need to eat gluten free, I was happy to find this place. I’ll put pictures of my gluten free dishes. My husband also said his was very good. The ambiance is nice, the service was good, and the food and wine were excellent! We will definitely be back!

After more than two weeks of traveling during which we ate at a Top 50 Restaurant and a Michelin Star restaurant, we probably talk about this meal more than any other we had on our trip. Food is delicious and beautifully simple, especially paired with wines from the Friuli region. The ravioli with raisins, spinach, and smoked ricotta was unbelievably good.

Good food, good value, good location. Service a bit slow but pleasant atmosphere. Just wish they’d asked us for green passes as we sat indoors!

Truly a five star experience of local products, cuisine, and wines in heart of Cividale.

Fantastic food. A must-go if you’re in cividale del friuli. Some of the best pasta you will have (maccheroncini with lemon cream sauce and pink peppercorns was my favorite, and the dumplings with spinach, raisins, smoked ricotta and pine nuts were also really amazing). We’ve travelled to Italy 5 times in the past year (and mostly for food, and in regions known for their food) and these were definitely some of our favourite pastas. And for 7-8€ per dish. Other dishes were good but not outstanding.
