An old authentic place that still has the spirit of old Beirut regardless of the recent -a bit cheap- renovation, i liked it more when the ceiling used to drip and the paint falls off the wall :) the place is relatively cheap, makes great baked potatoes and wonderful breakfast. Also a great place to play board games and cards, and if you are a fan of "Argileh" this is the place for you. I have lots of memories there, I finished writing my first book on the history of Beirut there! on table 16 to be exact :D

I am giving a 4 for its outdoor seating as a garden in the middle of beirut and manara area by the sea . Its cafe serving traditional lebanese food. We been there over breakfast had foul , balila and msabaha ( hummus in tahini sauce) with a side of vegetable platter. The saj zaatar was crusty . Tea , coffee and minted lemonade for drinks . We had chicha too. Prices are on high range though for certain items .

Rawdah Shatila is my second home. They serve great appetizers and grills. Always clean, very friendly owners and staff members. To top it off, their setting is very cozy, situated right in front of the sea, making it a memorable and homely experience every time! Highly recommended!

This restaurante used to be the best in this area, the location still nice and relaxing, vegetables and salads were fresh, but the meat was the worst we have ever had. The kafta seems old, smells and always red even after reheating. The meat was dry old beef cubes not lamb as we where told. I been going to that restaurant for many years. But after this experience will not be returning. The free fruit dish looked old and not fresh.

It's such a shame that this place is almost abandoned because it has the potential to be one of the best restaurants, events venue, and even dance floor in Lebanon. The location is phenomenal on the coast, and the size is very large. Their service is amazing, everyone is very kind, the food and coffee are not bad, and the prices are affordable. Highly recommended for a relaxing sit
