The 12 Best Luxury and Boutique Hotels in Dubai, UAE - AFAR

"Positioned along Dubai Creek in a revived 'new' old neighborhood, this waterfront hotel blends traditional architectural touches—wind towers, wooden beams—and vintage decor with modern construction; its 190 airy rooms are spread across small bait-style buildings and are filled with nostalgic trinkets. Rooftop lounges piled with carpets and cushions invite relaxation, and the pedestrian-friendly creekside setting places cafés, restaurants, and souvenir shops within easy walking distance." - Nicola Chilton

Al Seef Heritage Hotel Dubai | Best places to stay in Dubai

"Located in the faux-old part of Dubai alongside the Creek, this wonderfully atmospheric hotel manages to feel authentically vintage in spite of only having opened four years ago. The comfy rooms are split into different bait, or individual ‘houses’, spread along the Al Seef waterfront area, and are filled with retro design details like old photos, oil lamps and clunky light switches. Onsite restaurant Saba’a Café’s breakfast is worth getting out of bed for – Emirati-inspired items include cardamom waffles and saffron French toast. They’ll also drive you by buggy to sister hotel Canopy by Hilton, so you can use the rooftop pool with its fabulous views of the whole area. Just a few minutes’ walk away is Al Fahidi, the ‘real’ old Dubai with some houses dating back 100 years, topped by traditional wind towers. If you want less of the city’s skyscraper futurism and more of a cultural stay, this hotel is a good choice. " - Nicola Chilton

After two weeks of staying in sleek, modern hotels across the UAE, we decided to book the Hilton Al Seef for a quick one-night stay near the airport before an early morning flight. Well, what a find this turned out to be!||||This hotel offers something truly different from the typical Dubai experience. It beautifully captures the charm of Old Dubai, with its traditional design, atmospheric setting, and warm sense of character. The entire property is outstanding and feels like stepping into another side of the city that many visitors overlook.||||The location is perfect, nestled among the souks that line the waterfront. The surroundings feel authentic, rich in history and culture, yet never overwhelming or too “touristy.” A highlight for us was hopping on an abra across the creek, a simple but magical experience that really brought the area to life. Staff excellent too. We took three rooms and all were very high quality with amazing amenities and even an espresso maker. ||||We didn’t get to stay long enough, our early morning flight meant we couldn’t even try the breakfast—but that only gives us the perfect reason to return. Next time, we’ll be sure to spend a little longer soaking in the atmosphere.||||Overall, Hilton Al Seef is a hidden gem. If you want a taste of traditional Dubai with the quality and comfort of a Hilton, this is the place to stay. We can’t wait to come back. They also have use of their sister hotels pool, again we didn’t see this but another great positive for our return.

A truly exceptional stay at the Heritage Hotel by Hilton in Al Seef!||From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the amazing atmosphere and beautiful architecture of the hotel. When we first entered our room, we were in awe of the fantastic view. It truly captures the essence of old Dubai with a modern touch.||Our experience was made even more special by the incredible staff. The breakfast was a highlight every morning; the food was delicious and the selection was fantastic. What really stood out, though, was the attentiveness and friendliness of the entire team. They were always on hand to help and made sure we felt completely taken care of.||A special shout-out to Nibrass at the reception, who was so welcoming and provided excellent service, especially during our smooth check-out process. |We also want to thank Arjun for his professional and friendly service.||Overall, our stay was perfect, and we can't recommend the Heritage Hotel enough. The combination of its stunning design, great amenities, and outstanding staff makes it a must-visit destination. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Our stay at the Al Seef Heritage Hotel Dubai was truly fabulous. Located in the historic district along Dubai Creek, combining traditional Emirati architecture and modern comforts.||||The rooms were comfortable and full of character, and the amenities nearby — including a pool, spa, and fitness center — made our stay even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the convenient location: within walking distance of souks, cafes, and galleries that capture the essence of old Dubai. Crossing the Creek by boat was very easy, with the port close by, and the hotel even provides golf buggies to shuttle guests around the property.||||The food at the restaurant was excellent and authentically prepared, and the staff were fantastic throughout our stay — always attentive and welcoming.||||A special mention must go to Shaiq, who represents Rayna Tours. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome, stepping in with a warm smile and guidance while the hotel staff were busy with other guests. Thanks to him, we arranged a desert safari during our stay, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The safari was extraordinary — from dune bashing and quad biking to sunset views, camel rides, henna painting, traditional performances, and a generous buffet dinner. Our guide for the day, Saleem, was outstanding: professional, well-presented, and dedicated to ensuring we had a truly memorable experience. Thanks to Saleem, we also got excellent photos of the desert sunset that we will always treasure.||||Overall, this hotel is more than just a place to stay — it’s an immersion into the heritage and culture of Dubai, paired with excellent service and unforgettable experiences. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, our stay at Al Seef hotel exceeded every expectation. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make our visit perfect. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and we were even taken to our rooms by the use of cart buggies. The room itself was spotless, stylishly furnished, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and thoughtful touches like high-quality toiletries, complimentary water, and a well-stocked minibar made us feel completely pampered. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast – an impressive spread of fresh fruit, pastries, hot dishes, and made-to-order items, all beautifully presented and delicious. The on-site restaurant and bar also delivered outstanding meals and excellent service throughout our stay. The amenities were top-notch. Whether relaxing by the pool, unwinding in the spa, or using the gym, everything was immaculate and well-maintained. The concierge team was also a standout – knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great local recommendations.Every detail was considered, and it’s clear that guest comfort is the top priority here. We left feeling completely refreshed and already planning our return.Highly recommended – this is hospitality at its finest!

Our family stayed here for three nights and had a generally good experience. The hotel has a charming heritage style, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the breakfast team—especially Miss Giri—was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. However, we did face a small issue when we asked to store our extra luggage for one night after check-out. Unfortunately, the hotel did not allow this, which was disappointing. One of the receptionists, although beautiful, came across as quite rude during this interaction. Overall, it was an okay stay with some positives and a few areas that could be improved.

Although the first room we got in doesn’t smell nice tho coming from the washroom.|I think they need to check the drainage or sewage. They managed to moved us in the other room that is better, ||Thank you Mr. Wasim from concierge for assisting us and also the to the valet Mr. Arjun and the other guy in the afternoon valet drivers we appreciate the service knowing that it’s 40 degree outside.||The guy in the front desk in the afternoon forgot to take his name who assist us to the room. ||Breakfast was good they have multiple options.

I had an exceptional experience thanks to the hotel’s incredibly professional and dedicated team. Every time I called the front desk with a request—no matter how big or small—it was handled perfectly and promptly. Among the staff, Mr. Arjun, one young gentleman from Nepal, stood out with his warmth and enthusiasm. He not only made sure everything was taken care of, but also brought a lot of emotional value to my stay. Every day, he drove me around the charming streets of the old town, making my trip truly unforgettable. This level of service is rare and deeply appreciated. Highly recommended!
