Old Country Buffet, except Indian. A lot of food for a low price, but have some realistic expectations.
I came on a Saturday at Noon for the $6.99 lunch buffet deal, advertised on Facebook. What a deal! But you know what they say...
I tried the chicken biryani, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken 65, veggie pakora, and naan. None of it was exceptional or even all that good. The tandoori chicken was probably the best of the bunch, but, I mean, it's tandoori chicken. The butter chicken was thin, and I had to hunt to find some chicken amid the sauce.
The service wasn't bad, wasn't great -- they promptly took a used plate and silverware away, then didn't replace the fork. There weren't enough servers, so I couldn't even flag anyone down to get a new one. For that, we were charged a mandatory 18% service fee. I'll say, though, that the servers were polite and the restaurant was very clean.
Amazingly when we left, there were literally 30+ people in line, stretching out the door, waiting to get seated. Not worth it, but again, for $6.99, I guess that's to be expected. Maybe their dinner service off the menu is better.
