We had an unforgettable experience at Al Sud. The Michelin-star dining was exceptional from start to finish. Each dish was not only beautifully presented but perfectly balanced in flavor and creativity. We opted for the wine pairing, and it was truly remarkable! Had an unbelievable meal at Al Sud. One of the best Michelin 1* restaurants we've tried. Hospitality was flawless. Wine pairing with very rare Portuguese wines was a treat. Pairings were some of the best I've tasted with true complimentary interaction of flavors and textures. The food was delicious and perfectly presented.

A truly special and unmatched experience. We made a reservation to celebrate my birthday at Al Sud while in the Algarve and it was incredible. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. The experience begins outside on the patio with an amuse-bouche overlooking the sea. Once inside, the real magic begins. First, I must acknowledge the wonderful sommelier - He made our entire night so much fun with his commentary, suggestions and overall approach. We opted for the 8 moments and were so glad that we did. Each dish was better than the previous, but all were quite remarkable (see the images). They also sent over an extra dessert with a candle which was a special touch. Would highly recommend this gem of a Michelin star restaurant. *Dont forget to take a picture on the patio with their Polaroid camera!📸

A truly excellent Michelin-starred experience—this was our second visit, and it did not disappoint. We opted for the 15-course tasting menu, which was beautifully crafted and thoughtfully presented throughout. One suggestion: it would be great to include at least one meat dish to provide more variety and balance to the overall experience.

Great experience overall! Chef Anjos came out by the end of the dinner to greet guests, thanks Chef! I really enjoyed the food and was as we say in Russia, rolling out of the place like a round shaped pancake! That’s how much food I had! Normally for Michelin places, I leave still a bit hungry. It was 8 moments menu + water + glass of white wine = total was a little under EURO200 = very good value! Got on top 2 deserts and free champagne starter. On the taste: 1) lots of combinations of softness and crispiness - my personal favourite 2) creamy rich sauces - another personal favourite 3) peanut butter sauce - my fav again 4) best ever cooked squid and octopus - melted in my mouth! Hope my review is helpful!

What makes for an unforgettable experience isn’t just the ambiance, amazing food and service but also going above expectations you could possibly have. There were so many surprises throughout our meal. If you’re able to, do not hesitate to come dine here. Al Sud far exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to be back.

Excellence and genuine sympathy 👏🏼👏🏼 Since the arrival welcome we felt really spoiled by all the staff. The service was superb without excessive formality but professionalism and warmth sympathy, instead. The menu was excellent focusing on algarvian coastline products (prawns, clams, oysters, fish, etc). Brave from the Chef to exclude a meat main course (apart from a bite of pork included in another main). A wonderful and full Portuguese (sole exception to the Champagne) wine list with several unknown small producers and rare grape varieties. Brave also the Sommelier to avoid the expensive classics, one see always on this kind of restaurant. The location and the restaurant any are very special, which, altogether, made our evening unforgettable. Thank you to the Al Sud team 🤗

An absolutely unforgettable first Michelin star experience! I was treated to this elaborate dinner by my friend and it will forever mark the beginning of a journey to many more future experiences. From the service to the food, the wine pairing, minute details and presentations, friendliness and availability of the staff, Al Sud finds itself at the top of my list. Their take on “Bulhão pato” was by far my favourite and blew me away, as it is one of my all time favourite dishes, reimagined with a modern twist. A must try for anyone, not only for the food, but also for the remarkable ambience and staff.
