Great service, very nice and attentive. We had no problem speaking only English here. The wait staff was very polite and overall excellent. The whole restaurant was very beautiful and had a good atmosphere. By far the best part was the food. We had the pork sirloin with pork ear/cheek which was very good. And the duck was by far some of the best food in Hungary. We also got a few side dishes and appetizers which were inventive and tasty. Food was overall beautiful and delicious. Bill came out expensive but worth it for the excellent quality. Would definitely recommend if you find yourself in the area.

Definitely 5 stars! Food looked fantastic and tasted REALLY good. Very nice atmosphere and professional service. We went for cheese selection, duck breast lamb shank. Free tiny starters and deserts were very nice surprise.

We came here in a big family group of 6 and were attended to very thoughtfully by the waiter. Our waiter spoke to my partner in Spanish as he didn’t speak Hungarian, which was a very polite touch. The food was on the expensive side for Szeged, but the portions were big enough, and the food itself was both unique and delicious. We particularly liked the amuse-bouche, which was very different. They had a couple of good vegetarian and vegan options, which was also very appreciated. The whole setting and decor was very elevated, and we really enjoyed our meal. We will be back!

Our first experience in a Michelin star restaurant was impressive. The dishes were truly exquisite, the staff was friendly and professional and the ambiance, music, wine, just perfect! ❤️

Really enjoyed our time here, we asked for a full Hungarian experience and they delivered flawlessly. Gave us the full chefs menu..Not cheap but Absolutely amazing experience, well worth it.

In my opinion Alabárdos is offering the most premium culinary experience one can enjoy in Szeged. The restaurant has gone through a complete transformation recently, thanks to which it can enter the segment of the most quality gastro mekkas in the city. The dishes are not only enchantingly beautyful, but creatively composed, not to mention the amazing, complex tastes and textures that will surely make each dish an unforgettable experience. The service is kind, professional and attentive. And the prices are fair - basically they match up with the level of the other proper restaurants in the neighbourhood, however in terms of quality, Alabardos greatly exceeds all of them. I know I might sound a bit over the top, but the place deserves the most excellent review for sure! I can't wait to revisit :)

Probably one of the best restaurant food I’ve experienced in my time in Hungary. I had a goose ham panna cotta from the daily special menu followed by the duck breast. The flavours were amazing, presentation was excellent and very attentative waitress. A true gem of Szeged.

High quality fine-dining restaurant introducing the so called artistic culinary. Chef Pál Tóth branding quality and precise tastes so complex that can only be experienced here.
