Always so fun! Clean, easy layout with a LOT of options! A few prices were high, some were okay, and most were WONDERFUL! There was so much to choose/shop from; fresh produce, honey, dairy, meat, bread, pastries, food tents and carts, a matcha and coffee cart, a hand-made gold jewelry tent, you name it! I have had a wonderful experience every time I've come here!

WOW!! I haven't been here in over 2 years. It has grown. Took the Baba. We bought fresh blueberries, 🍯honey and a cajun ragin plant for hummingbirds. There was a very big crowd. Very busy. All kinds of items for sale. I loved it. Carrots, brocolli, cabbage, meat, bread, hot sauce, leafy veggies, eggs 🥚. Lots of items. Let me say if you haven't been to this one do yourself a favor and check it out. Strawberries...

An amazing little farmers market with a wide array of meats, plants, produce and baked goods! Everyone is super nice, and I've found a lot of really great fresh food here for my lizard!! The quail eggs are a great hit, and they're cheaper than the supermarket!

Cute farmers market with lots of plants. Everything we bought was delicious but there was no fruit besides watermelon. Good assortment of vegetables though.

Parking is a bit challenging however, you can park in the BMV parking lot. Arrive as soon as it opens before most items are gone, it's a little crowded. Excellent vendors with lots of produce!

I wish not to be deceptive so I must first say that I am a vendor at this market. I will therefore comment on the markets treatment of vendors, the fees and bylaws, which I feel are more than reasonable. And, the customers are (by a large majority) repeat and loyal fans which makes it easier to remember their names and even form friendships. If you are a vendor and you are lucky enough to procure a vending spot you really should. We have a considerable amount of vending under our belts and I would not say this if it were not true.

Yelp
The Alachua Farmers Market has quickly become one of my favorite Saturday morning stops. It's not huge, but it's packed with charm, friendly vendors, and some really great food options. I love walking around, checking out the booths, and finding new local treasures. One of my absolute musts now is a matcha drink from Honey Nitro + Cold Brew. I had never tried matcha before, but a friend recommended their version with vanilla or lavender, and oh my gosh, it was creamy, smooth, and totally addictive. I seriously didn't know I could love matcha this much! Pappa Thai's summer rolls are another go-to. They're fresh, flavorful, and honestly hit the spot every single time. Light but filling and perfect for walking around with. And I can't forget Proud Pickles, they're such a fun little stand, and I'm absolutely obsessed with their items. Sweet, tangy, spicy, you name it, they've got it. I'm giving 4 stars only because I wish there were a few more vendors but I understand Gainesville is a small town. But honestly, it's still such a lovely experience and totally worth checking out if you're in the area.

Yelp
This long time farmers market since 1972 in Gainesville offers fresh local goods on Saturday mornings 8:30am to12 noon. They feature fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods and food trucks. They also have live music. They take pride in being a "growers only" market, and they inspect vendor farms. We were there before closing but most things were sold out. I did purchase cucumbers and potatoes from Jones Farms. They were fresh and delicious and great prices.

Yelp
One of the best farmers markets in the area. Love the fresh produce and the bread that they sell. Now they even have a bender who sells Thai food. Unfortunately the eggs were all sold out before 9:30 a.m. you've got to go there really early to get fresh farm eggs. The mushrooms were spectacular.

Yelp
Super cute farmers market. This market places emphasis on locally grown produce, dairy products, eggs, bakery items and other edible products. Great prices and friendly vendors.

Yelp
This is the best farmer's market in town. I try to go every Saturday. It's a great way to get fresh veggies, fruits, plants, and even baked goods and coffee and of course to support local farming. EBT/Snap is accepted here. Many stands take cash and cards.

Yelp
3.5 stars I was really looking forward to trying out this market as it seemed to be highly recommended online. It's at the north end of Gainesville so it was a bit of a drive. We got there around 9:30AM (they open at 8:30) and there was a moderate amount of people already, but we could find parking on the grass. I was under the impression that it would be bigger compared to Haile but there were actually fewer vendors compared to Haile. Not sure if I came on an off day. The main difference between the markets seems to be more produce and nursery stalls compared to Haile. Haile had more ready-made food/coffee stalls, no coffee stalls at Alachua (at least the day I went). The vendors here also mainly take cash, so don't forget to bring some. Produce items were similar between Haile and here. I ended up buying some persimmons, okra, and a monstera plant. I really appreciated the nursery vendors here as they could give you advice about which plants need sun/shade, watering habits, etc... The plants also are pretty well-grown compared to the ones at Home Depot/Lowe's and cheaper. They also have a stall where they still vegetable plants for $2-3 each.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good farmers market? And this one is a great one located right off of 441. The real deal with plenty of growers and producers selling organic and local products at amazingly cheap prices. Hey, I like cheap. The fruits and veggies found here are high quality. And you can even pick up a few starter plants at about half the price of the big box garden centers while supporting local businesses and growing your own food. That's a win-win. Every time I come to G'ville on a Saturday, I always try to stop here. Just go early as they start packing it up way before the one o'clock hour. And as a bonus for anyone who does container gardening [and knows the cost of brand new containers/planters], there are plenty of recycled pots and starting trays in all different sizes available every single day. They are located in two designated areas for anyone who wants pick some up or drop them off. Hey, one of the best discoveries yet. Thank you, FREE planter gods... I love that this farmers market offers their customers little rolling wagons to tote your purchases to your car. It's SO convenient! And most of the vendors I've dealt with are super knowledgeable and friendly. Growing food = Mad respect Go AG! Overall - this is a no frills, growers market that offers a multitude of locally sourced, high quality produce that's easy on the wallet. Call me cheap, but I would say frugal. Either way, check this one out.

Yelp
This place is great for getting greens and regional fruits and veggies, and for getting live plants. It's no frills, not overly crowded, and not cutesy (the Hale Plantation market is crowded cutesy and has way more non agricultural stuff). Opens at 8:30, and it is mostly winding down by 11ish. Regulars here are at Dolce Vita bakery with a bunch of baked goods with real fruit or chocolate in them, grower John with low priced live plants (vegetable sets and some Florida specific fruit plants like passion flower and dragon fruit cactus) and seasonal greens and roots, Flour Pot bakery with several fancy breads, turmeric vendor, honey vendor, and several small growers / farmers selling seasonal produce. You can sometimes get local meats and just about always get yard eggs. This past year, there has been a couple selling native plants for landscaping. Restrooms are available and are bare bones and clean enough. They have some garden cart wagons that you can use for towing small children around or like a shopping cart for carrying plants. There are no crafts or whatever flea market type stuff here. It is pretty much all agricultural. It is next to the firestation and fire truck depot, so if you have kids you can look at the fire trucks with them.

Yelp
A cute little farmers market with a lot to offer. Plenty of fresh local produce, bakery items, house plants, and artisanal goods. All of the vendors were very accommodating and friendly despite the volume of people at their booth. My only critique is that I wish there was more space, as the main section was very cramped and a little overwhelming. Overall, a nice way to spend a morning and start next week off with some fresh ingredients for a good price.

Yelp
Marking friendly, bring cash because most vendors don't accept card. The French bread maker and pastry person sell mediocre quality bake goods for a pretty high price in my opinion. The poultry vendors offer higher quality products and one of them sells chicken feet for $1/peice (great for dog treats). 5 stars for the atmosphere and friendly people but 2 stars for the prepared baked goods.

Yelp
This farmers market is near the Florida Highway Patrol station off 441. Compared to the downtown farmers market, parking isn't an issue which is a big plus for this one. It's open on Saturdays until 12pm. I wish they were open a little longer, but sometimes it feels good to get out of the house early on a Saturday and get stuff done. The setup here is ideal. The sellers have large structures to sell under (think covered outdoor basketball courts). Browsing around is nice in the shade and you don't have to worry if it starts raining. There are little carts available as well if you're planning on stocking up. Each year I make it a point to buy almost all of my plants from the sellers here. Unlike Lowes which will often sell things that really don't take in the region, the sellers often grow what they're selling in the immediate area. There is added security purchasing here because of this. With the purchase of my plants the sellers more often than not volunteer lots of helpful information about planting, pruning, etc. I'll let another reviewer discuss the beautiful, trustworthy, but slightly more expense produce because I mainly come for the plants.

Yelp
As someone who shops at three farmers market every week, I really appreciate the reasonable prices and good quality produce consistently available at the Alachua County Farmers Market (known to one and all as the 441 Market!)

Alicia B.

Yelp
I have always been impressed with the abundance of organic produce and the selection of plants available. The prices are very reasonable and the vendors are friendly and helpful. Always a good experience!
