Aladdin Cafe

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I haven’t been since before 2020. Just was able to visit again and just as good as I remembered! The restaurant accommodated a food modification for us. Service was excellent! We had the shawarmah platter, lentil soup, and tabouli salad. The rose lemonade was refreshing!

Aladdin is the ONLY place to have the very best Mediterranean food in all of Kansas City. My family and I have been going here for many many years, and we have never had anything here that wasn't perfect and delicious! The most recent... I threw my wife a birthday party for her 50th. I went and spoke to the staff at Aladdin a few days before the event. We wanted a family style meal for 12 to 14 people. The owner came out and we discussed it. We got salad (best salad dressings on the planet, for real), rice, gyro meat with veggies, perfectly soft pita bread, and a giant pan of the very best hummus, all of this made from scratch. I asked that it be ready at 2:30. We arrived at about 2:25, and the owner was just finishing up with my order. Everything was hot, everything was super fresh, and most of all, everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered for 12 to 14 people. We all ate as much as we wanted and we had plenty of leftovers for lunches for the next few days. If you've eaten here before, you already know how delicious it is. If you haven't tried Aladdin and you're thinking of eating here, you will love it! Thank you Aladdin for making my wife's 50th birthday a huge success with the delicious food you made for us.

My favorite place to stop by for Turkish coffee before work! I even bring my dog to wait on the patio. It’s so fast I go every time I have to visit KU with a patient. Perfect for a nurse on the go. The food is the best Arabic food I’ve had yet in the metro.

The food here is hands down the best mid eastern in the city! It becomes very hard to choose because we enjoy so many items on the menu Baba ghanouj is amazing . Shawarmah and sumac chicken are both so tasty Loving the unique dressing for the salad and the comforting flavors in the lentil soup. Try the rose water lemonade! So good! Highly recommend

I had ordered catering from Aladdin Cafe for a group of friends before, so I knew they were great. I wanted to take my wife here. We had an engagement right down the street so this was the perfect time. We had the grape leaves, hummus, tabouli and kifta plate. It was all great! We both agreed the hummus is among the best we’ve ever had. We prefer it to be tahini heavy (rather than garlic or spices) and this one is. It’s creamy and perfect. Beautifully presented! The tabouli was HUGE! I wish they had a half portion. It was too much for 2 of us. But absolutely delicious! The grape leaves were good, but nothing special. The kifta plate was excellent!! Wonderful ground beef mixture and just what one expects with this classic dish. Steamed vegetables and rice with a mousses on top were a perfect complement to the beef. Service was quick and efficient. Glad we went early as the neighborhood gem fills up quickly on a Friday night. 5 stars. We will return and try more of the extensive menu.

Good was very delicious especially the baklava dessert. The service was a little uncomfortable but the food was worth it

This was such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely wonderful. Our server was great. I plan to eat here as a regular favorite. Will recommend to anyone.

Not sure what most these guests are used to but this is not what I’d consider Mediterranean food. The meat is processed so much so it reminded me of lunch meat and disgust me to finish eating. This was the chicken as well as the beef/lamb mix (meat processed as one) . Spent 80 to take out and a complete disappointment. Coming from Houston where we have GREAT food from all cuisines to the Midwest expecting at least good food has been a huge downside of relocating here.
