Aladdin Bakery

Very great bakery! My first experience with meat & cheese pies was over 10 years ago at a bakery in Orleans near my highschool. We would go there a few days a week for lunch, and it was always a pleasant experience. Aladdin bakery activates that nostalgia for me with their amazing pies, and I highly recommend them!

Just vooov ! They are absolutely amazing ! They add some beef for me to the Pizza on the Menu and made some delicious . I am for sure recommending them to everyone . It’s just so tasty . This guys are gem for Ottawa .

Absolutely wonderful place, employees are almost always in a good mood and the prices are great. The pies are always delicious and the garlic dip is to die for. I always buy the big container and have it with other food at home. Highly recommend stopping for lunch.

I rarely give a 5 star review, but this place deserves it. Attend a clinic nearby for treatment and after every appointment, I have to stop by and get either a meat & cheese pie or spinach pie or other selection. The food is so fresh and warm, you could feel the worst (which you do feel after treatment) and food warms your soul from within. The prices have increased, but still remain affordable. Please continue doing what you do.

I've been eating here for years and years. Amazing. My only complaint is that it seems like their business hours are incorrect on google. They are never open at 7pm when I walk there. Super frustrating since I have to walk 45 minutes there and 45 minutes home just to get 2 cheese pies. Please update your Google hours of service to 6pm!!

Been coming here since the sign read eat for a dollar $. Yes, a long time ago these were a 1$ and some for the meat pie. I hadn’t visited this particular OG location in years so when I was in the area, I had to indulge in a meat/cheese $4.00. The location has gone through renovations and has upgraded. A sign reads cash only to keep prices low. Two pies are typically enough to keep your hunger satisfied. The store sells various drinks/snacks along with an assortment of pies. Spinach, meat, cheese, zaatar, potato & much more. Collaboratively working well, once you order, the service is quick. I picked up a few pies. First bite, I noticed a change in the flavor. It tasted as though the filling is a combination of different meat, maybe lamb? Its hard to pinpoint, Its not the end of the world, but the flavor that I have always known has changed. That was the case with the whole batch we picked up even the young children didn’t finish it. Overall, I do recommend Alladin, always a friendly service and plenty of options to choose from.

We have been buying pies from here for three years, and they were always delicious. However, on January 24, 2025, we purchased a meat pie, and shortly after my 4-year-old son ate it, he vomited. My son was not sick; he vomited because of the pie he ate. When I checked the remaining pie that I had stored in the fridge, it smelled spoiled.

This was our go-to spot whenever we craved meat pies. I’ve been coming here since I was in high school and never had an issue. Unfortunately, this recent experience was terrible. My husband ordered meat pies for us and the kids and within three hours, we all experienced symptoms of food poisoning. It was especially hard for my kids due to the severity of the symptoms. I’m very concerned about the food safety and quality here and hope they take this issue seriously. Sadly, I can’t recommend it anymore based on this experience.
