Where to Find the Best Halal Dining in Orlando

"The tastefully spartan space has gracefully aged since opening more than a quarter-century ago, and its superb Lebanese cuisine is a testament to the restaurant’s longevity. Shanklish (sheep milk cheese) and hummus make ideal sides for more substantial dishes, whether lamb sausage, sauteed quail, or shish tawook (marinated chicken skewers). A buffet is often offered during Ramadan." - Faiyaz Kara

I went there with the hunger to order good food. I took time and ordered a vegetarian combo($24), it listed a variety of items included in the combo. I expected they would at least serve 3-5 falafels and small bowls of hummus and baba ganoush, but unfortunately they did serve them in a small vertical plate that looked like an appetizer plate rather than a combo meal 😭. The food tasted good, but the quantity wasn't matching with their pricing. The lamb appetizer was very sweet and again just 3-4 small bites in a bowl for $10 and yeah the pita was cold😥 . I took kunafa, it was really good, the base was too much roasted, was difficult to cut through but tasted very nice. Overall, the food tastes good but pricing is really high considering the quantity they give. Two people spent $46 for three small plates of food that didn't fill our tummy, so we had to stop by another restaurant.

I would have given this place five stars if its atmosphere was just a little bit better. The food was absolutely delicious. Savory flavor full and aromatic. Rice was cooked to perfection as well as vegetables and all the meat 🍖. I had the combo platter which actually goes by different name on the as it does on their internet menu. Family-owned and friendly. Service was really good as well however I was the only person in the restaurant at the time. But everything was served inappropriate order as well as check Backs. Unfortunately I was enjoying myself too much and forgot to take pictures of my food. This place is definitely worth checking out.

I believe all of the reviews will agreed at least in one thing: tastes like homemade. The food, the restaurant and the staff will make you feel like you are eating at your parents house and they cooked you a meal. Everything felt very healthy and delicious. They have a wide variety of food so vegetarian friends and meat lovers folks will find a good amount of options. Very spacious and welcoming. The server suggested options and was very knowledgeable about the food and the ingredients on it. Definitely coming back!

Husband has been dying to try this place out for a long time! We walk in 40 minutes after opening, there were people sitting there already waiting on their food, so we weren’t to early, atmosphere upon walking in was cold, it felt like you had entered a basement, no music, it didn’t smell like food, and it was dark and cold, gave it the benefit of the doubt ordered our food falafels were cold in the middle took 2 bites total, super disappointed, pita bread was cold, food just wasn’t it we got water, cups were dirty, for the price this place should be a lot more welcoming, it just wasn’t at all, we spent a total of 30 minutes in there in and out, we couldn’t wait to get out.

Absolutely beautiful and amazing home cooked fresh food from Lebanon 🇱🇧 ♥️ Everything is absolutely delicious. My family and I are very health conscious and eat for our health. This place has the best fresh and homemade hummus with warm pita. The lentil soup is so wonderful also. They have many vegan and vegetarian friendly options. They make their own dressing for their salads my husband was licking his plate clean. Also the Turkish coffee was so yummy. I loved the Lebanese hot tea. This restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza. The owner is wonderful and takes good care of all of his customers. If you have ever been to Lebanon 🇱🇧 and had their amazing dishes then if you are looking for authentic restaurant in the states this is the place you need to try.

The overall experience was a five because of the authenticity of the food and our waiter, Mohammed. As soon as we came in we were sat right away and everything was pretty fast but we didn’t feel rushed at all. Mohammed was very friendly and answered all our questions and more. The portion sizes are perfect. Everything is homemade and delicious!

I had this place on my list for a while. Heard it was good, so i figured $55 for my order was reasonable if the food really hit like I was told. I ordered extra because I wanted leftovers for lunch tomorrow, but it wasnt enough even with the additional apps. The picture shows the order as it arrived, I only opened the boxes. Yes, the one wrap is open and meat is falling out of it. The wrong meat to be precise. Yes, the ketchup is open. Yes, the fries were soggy. No, there was no sauce included with anything. It was a very dry and cold meal. Even the "sandwich" (the wrap) needs tziki or something. The fries you see were $6, each appetizer was $12 and the "sandwiches" (wraps) were $11 for falafel and $12 for beef/chicken. The flavor is pretty good, but I really wish it was hotter. It was picked up promptly and there was nobody inside the restaurant so Im not sure what went wrong here. I feel like this should have either been better or more food for the price tag. I might try them again in store to see if this was just a fluke, but not a great first impression. Giving three stars because technically they made the food, the order was almost correct (ordered chicken, they gave me beef), and it was made promptly, but they missed all of the other marks. The Mediterranean deli on Fairbanks puts this one to shame, unfortunately, for price, amount, and quality. I wish that one was closer.
