"Alain Bianchin’s romantic abode should be on the bucket list of any self-respecting foodie. The finer points of pedigree classical cuisine have no secrets for this high-flying craftsman. His grasp of what the modern diner appreciates has led him to branch out and experiment with new flavours and techniques, often of Asian origin. For example, he can endow a ballotine of wild duck, butternut and black tripe with a depth that it is reminiscent of jugged hare by consummately blending sweet veggies, gutsy tripe and delicate meaty flavours. He may underscore duck jus with mixed Vietnamese bao chau spices, whose intriguing complexity is further enriched by raw foie gras. The level of sophistication and technique of such a dish is nothing short of exceptional. A genuine master chef, Bianchin effortlessly combines his sensitivity with Asian touches and his mastery of Gallic techniques with fascinating international influences. The kitchen is clearly his playground and a meal in his establishment is the opportunity to sample a fascinating culinary experience." - Michelin Inspector

Superb restaurant that outpaced my expectations. In the tasting menu, the chef demonstrates a subtle and interesting approach to food, with an incredible ravioli and a delicate snow crab that made my day. The wine list could benefit from a bit more variety but the experience was brilliant.

Wonderful experience with Alain Bianchin. The chef himself come to serve and explain what are we eating in the plate. Lovely and welcoming…

We found this restaurant by chance, while searching among the many restaurants in the neighbourhood ( most of them closed by holidays) We were impressed by the service, especially by the Chef who came to explain the menu. As we had with us two fussy children, the Chef prepared something specially for us, which we adults appreciated very much. While waiting for our dishes, we had also the possibility to taste several other interesting dishes. We had to leave before trying the desert( which also sounded very interesting. We need to go back!

We enjoyed dinner in couple at this excellent restaurant, certainly deserving its 1 star Michelin. Keeping in mind we paid €100/person for 4 dish menus and 3 glasses (wine & champagne) and water, its about 3 times more expensive than normal restaurants we go, so expectations were 3 times higher as well. We received about 3 different apero's dégustations such as "foie gras/parmesan/porto" - very tasty, then dishes were surprising, creative and delicious. White wine LA GRIFFE D'ISA was good selection, and red wine was intense. The fish (bacalhau) had outstanding combination with lemon paste, and then a pigeon(squab) dish which was not our cup of tea especially since the whole leg & finger was on the plate. Desert was very simple, pralines/marshmallows... and very tasty. Service was excellent and chef is very friendly. Excellent dining experience and certainly will come back at special occasions.

Very nice atmosphere and excellent service from a very professional maitre whom we had met before in another establishment. Slightly contrary to our expectations, we did not sense the degree of the taste excitement we had expected. We took the 8-course menu with the wine pairing. In our view, the homard and the fois gras stood out worthily. But, beyond any doubt, the desserts were the big stars, with the asperge verte being a piece of art and delicacy! Congratulations to the pastry chef! Overall, a very pleasant evening!

Food is excellent, of course. Without being above and beyond, either. Service is excellent. Unfortunately, it is overpriced. Well above the average of its peers (equal quality, 1-star Michelin level). Go grab a lunch for two, drink nothing else than water... and 2 expressos, and you'll part with no less than 150 EUR. Because of this, it is overrated unfortunately.
