"Situated in the restored premises of the historic El Toulà restaurant, Alajmo Cortina is home to a bar on the ground floor, with the restaurant occupying the two upper floors (no lift). Although traditional in feel with a profusion of wood, the restaurant is run by a young and enthusiastic team. The cuisine focuses mainly on the region, although the menu also features fish and other imaginative options on tasting menus and an à la carte." - Michelin Inspector
The food is really good but there are a little advices too upgrade the services level for example I think it’s better if the waiters keep clean the table during the dinner because it’s really annoying having breadcrumbs on the table for all the time. They clean only at the end, before the dessert. I think do it after every meal it’s better for a restaurant with an high quality like this.
Anyway really good and we love it.

This is my second time here after 1 year! Food is as good as ever .. I recommend the tomato and basil which is just sublime . The risotto with caviar and bone marrow was excellent as was the spaghetti with snails. Pasta was perfectly al dente . I tried the veal fillet this time and it was juicy and tender.
The langoustines were interesting and delicious but seemed more like an appetiser than secondi. The tableside Tiramisu was an absolute delight as before.
Great service and very pleasant staff.
The view is fantastic from the top floor.

Everything was great. The staff were friendly, the environment was very quiet, the view was beautiful, and the price was reasonable, except for the food, which was terrible. The food tasted so bad it made me wonder how such awful food could exist in the world.

One of the best in the dolomiti area, from the most famous 3 star chef Max Alajmo, can never go wrong with his team, the best mountain dining ever, and the place is easy to get to with amazing view, a must when in this area.

Try the venison tartare with the Sicilian volcanic red wine. Sensational.
We were greeted outside with umbrellas upon our arrival.
Every dish was explained and lovingly prepared from start to finish.
Beautiful view - arrive early to secure the window table!
This was our best dining experience to date during our European trip.

Our favourite restaurant in Cortina! Beautifully restored and decorated old house on a hill overlooking Cortina .. fantastic views
Excellent service - it was raining when we arrived and staff came out with umbrellas , food service was equally professional and friendly . Davide served the best Tiramisu at the table - a first for us. The food was delicious and reasonable . The risotto with caviar and the artichoke ravioli were memorable. The pike went really well with the orange sauce and the langoustine with crispy pasta was imaginative . A truly must try in Cortina.

The location was lovely, I really appreciated the rustic design and atmosphere. The food totally met the expectations, I particularly enjoyed the gnocchi. Finally the service was incredible. The waiters were very professional and attentive to details while also managing to be quite funny. Fully recommended for a dinner in the heart of the mountain.

This place is incredible and was an absolute highlight of our trip to the Dolomites. Exceeded expectations and is better than other 1 star restaurants we’ve been to. If you like fine dining and creative/inventive experiences, don’t miss this place. We loved all of it. Give them their star!
