The Cheapest Coladas In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"The extra six cents almost knocks Alameda Bakery out of Miami’s cheapest colada club. But we’ll let it slide. Have your colada with a slice of dulce de leche cake, and then drive over to Sky Zone to blow off that sugar high." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

I asked for eggs and bacon…they gave me eggs and a slice of some sort of lunch meat with French fries. Then I have a visa gift card with $300 that I got for Christmas and they didn’t want to take it…and gave me no reason as to why. I think they just didn’t want to accept it because of my race tbh. They asked me to pay cash and I said I could pay with Apple Pay…I almost never carry cash. It was a very weird encounter and I will never return. I didn’t get what I asked for.

I love the winnie the pooh cake. They did for my mother birthday. I took my ideas to them, and they made it beautiful. 💙💙🥰🎂🎂🍰🍰

Their food is great. The cakes I have got from this place were 4/5. The cookies are Cuban cookies. You can even get breakfast here now. The only thing that I strongly disliked from going here is that I have had their employees correcting my Spanish. Although, the words I was using was correct Spanish. Regardless, that experience occurred numerous of times so that is why this place got 4/5. Edit: Limited space and their food is stale

Breakfast special is good. The folks working there are usually attentive and always friendly. Didn't give 5 stars because I've gone a few times. It's more like a "not yet". But so far, so good.

Cake and pastelitos just like I remembered from yesteryears. I ordered a cake special for a birthday and everyone ❤️ it.

Yelp
I've been coming to this bakery for over 2 decades now, (since I could remember). This bakery delivers a consistent quality of pastry items. Everytime I go I can expect to get the same tasting pastelito. Items include cakes, assorted pastelitos, croquetas, cookies, croissant sandwiches, Cuban bread, coffee and juices. I have also seen doughnuts now and then. The place itself is nothing extravagant and has not changed very much over the years. It could use a little cleaning and sprucing up and the parking situation can get chaotic since there's a little day care school next door. The pastelitos are affordably priced and the staff have an easy going homey vibe. The one thing I wish they had is the pastelito tray with more variety for last minute get togethers and such. Otherwise this place is pretty great for your pastelito needs.

Yelp
This place sucks! I came here with my boyfriend today and the lady behind the counter was ridiculously unprofessional. First off, she blatantly forgot to make our drink, and didn't seem to care at all. It's astounding that this happened in the first place given that we were the only customers, and we only ordered 3 things... Anyway our total came out to $4.90, the lady then informed us that they have a 5 dollar minimum... Which isn't a big deal at all being that most small businesses have card minimums. My boyfriend then asked if he can just purchase another item so he can be able to use his card... The lady said yes. As he goes to pick another item... I pulled cash out of my bag... I'm assuming the lady saw which quickly prompted her to change her mind and say no, the card machine won't work till later -.- What type of card machine "doesn't work till later" later when? When we leave? What type of lazy business are they running here. I get it, it's terribly difficult to grab a card and swipe it through a machine versus taking cash... Especially when that is your job, However don't lie to us and say that your card machine doesn't work the moment you see we have cash. And then on top of that forget the MAIN drink we came here to get! Terrible business... Even for Hialeah standards.
