It's Alameda's legacy local comedy club with open bar. Supporting and promoting local comedians. Ticket is for the show only. You need to order food and drinks inside. Food is just OK and service is fine. It's mostly fun with comedy atmosphere. Parking may be difficult but paid and free street parkings available.

Google
Great place! Happy to have a place like this in Alameda! If you haven't been to the Drag Yourself to Brunch on Sunday, it's a MUST DO! Brunch & bloody Mary's are delish! Ava LaShay the host/MC & entertainer is just FABULOUS along with the other performers! HIGHLY RECOMMEND & I will be back again!! So much fun!

Google
World-class, intimate, local venue! We had a private event and everything about the experience was just amazing. The staff was amazing. They were warm and accommodating, good food, nice cocktails, and of course, nice comedy!

Google
This place was great! We saw a fantastic drag show, great drinks, they had a vegan options for me and a vegetarian option for my friend. Service was great and fast! Highly recommend!

Google
Drag Yourself to Brunch is Alameda's best kept secret that needs to be shared with the rest of the world! Along with a beautiful and delicious brunch that includes either a mimosa or a bloody mary, you are treated to an entertaining, funny, sexy, drag show. We were graced with performances by Rosie Petals, Nia Politan, Sexen City, and Alpha Andromeda. These queens made me laugh and smile so much I developed extra wrinkles around my eyes! I recommend finishing your food before the performance as I heard a couple tables knock their food trays to the floor from over-excitement. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the drink menu offers several unique options. This is a fantastic way to celebrate a special occasion, but also just to treat yourself to amazing food and entertainment on any given Sunday.

Oh my gosh, this was fantastic. This is my second time going, and I have to say does not disappoint. The food was amazing entertainment was fun. I will certainly do this again down the road.

Yelp
I hadn't heard of this place prior to this year. The food here is amazing. Not surprised to hear that the owner knows many famous chefs. The vibe here is chill.

Yelp
First time here Buying tickets on line is easy There is a small service charge fee of $5 Ticket price itself was $25 per person There is an outdoor patio with tables and heating lamps while you wait for your show to start Patio is nicely decorated and gives off a chill vibe Inside is small but big enough if that makes Stage is small and intimate Customer service is friendly There is a full bar available Food is ok and reasonably priced Comedy show was fun Atmosphere was chill and crowd was cool There is a small parking area on the side or you can park in the street or parking garage I would definitely consider coming back here Next time I want to try the Drag show/Brunch

Yelp
Had a wonderful time here performing in the east bay comedy completion . The food was much better than I would expect for this kind of place and the waitstaff was great. Its a shame they are closing soon

Yelp
Alameda Comedy Club is an entertainment venue in smalltown A-town first discovered yesterday since a friend posted on LinkedIn about his first appearance on this kind of stage. First-timer tonight. The comedy show was hilarious and the MC was incredibly down to earth, honest, and hysterical. The poke dish was delish. The shishito peppers were a bit spicy for a friend and me but luckily, ACC has to-go boxes and the aioli with the peppers was an explosion of yum. Always try my best to never waste. The bourbon cat cocktail seemed enjoyable and the sparkling strawberry lemonade was divine. Areas of improvement: loved the food, drinks, and service. An itemized bill would have been appreciated. Strengths: the attentive service, excellent entertainment and enthusiasm, and the floor plan layout. Thank you so much for the fun memories and an amazing time out past our school night hours.

Yelp
We went on Friday night for the first time. It was my first time at a comedy club. It was about what I expected. The food and drinks were delicious! The ambience was that which would be associated with a comedy club. Different sized tables with chairs positioned around a small stage with a bar at one end. The waitress checked in on everyone regularly throughout the show. Some of the jokes were funny. Be prepared for some raunchy jokes. Eitan Levine was headlining when we were there but we enjoyed the second act, Zander, more. We will definitely be back some time in the future, maybe just for the Smackin Kraken drinks and Mac n Cheese balls alone!

Yelp
We went August 17th. We actually were recommended this place from watching them featured on Check Please, Bay Area. They have 2 shows per Saturday/Sunday night 7am and 9pm, we went to the early show. They open the doors 30 min ahead of time and there is a lovely area out back with comfy seating and fire pit to hang out before show starts. They seat you and take your order right away. Everyone was SO NICE and very welcoming. They have great food selections, we loved everything we tried. The drinks are creative and delicious and strong!! All the comedians we saw that night (3 + the host/emcee) were all phenomenal & very funny!! We already want to go back. Cannot recommend this place highly enough if you want a fun night with great entertainment, service and food/drinks!!

Yelp
The comics were awesome, everybody was laughing. But being from LA, I'm used to bigger crowds..but that's Alameda..but the small crowds shouldn't stop you from coming. Alameda has some great restaurants nearby, the bowling alley right next to the beach.. and then of course you got the beach. Nvr understand why people in the bay don't go to the beach
google avatar

Yelp
I have to say.. if you are looking for a good place to go to and get your weekend started.... This is your spot. The food is amazing service is very pleasant and you cannot beat the ambience Live music
google avatar

Roxy R.

Yelp
The space is nice and cozy. You get to see the comedian pretty close to you. The service was a little slow however, the food was good and all the servers were actually really nice. I 100% recommend this venue.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday with a group of 4 to see Myq Kaplan. Parking was easy for us to find, we were greeted by a host at the entrance who sat us at our table. Our table was roomy enough where we ordered a drink each, 4 appetizers, and 2 entrees. We ordered the bowl of chips, 2 grilled cheese bites, truffle-parm fries, and 2 brisket sliders. All were 10/10 and would recommend each plate (you can't go wrong with these choices). For dessert we ordered churros w/ a chocolate sauce, it was warm, and it was the perfect amount of sweet. There were 2 openers before Myq Kaplan & we found them to be entertaining! Service was great, about 20-25 min before the show was ending, the waiter will check in with you if you're ready for the bill or would like to place one last order. I found the service to be really organized.

Christine J.

Yelp
We try to support local businesses as much as possible. Since Alameda Comedy opened, we've gone to at least 10 shows. The food and drinks are good. The comedians are hit or miss (like any comedy show) but we have a nice time. But tonight was a bummer. We were seated at a small table for four (small is normal). There was hardly any space between the table in front of us so we moved our table back a little to allow room for the servers to walk by. BUT DO NOT do that or else get "disciplined". Then right before the show started and seeing the place wasn't going to fill, we asked to add the empty table next to us so we'd have more room for 8 drinks and 3 appetizers. Apparently, that isn't allowed either. Instead, they offered us a bigger table off to the side with a worse view. We decided to stay put but the table next to us and tables in our area were EMPTY all night. How is any of this logical? It isn't. Saving grace is the show was good but we would've enjoyed it more if none of that ridiculousness happened. Not sure we'll go back.

Yelp
Good food, great entertainment, comfortable environment makes for a great evening out experience. One of our go-to places for comedy

Yelp
I went to Sunday Drag Brunch and had a BLAST. The show was great, the waitstaff were great, and the waffles were yummy. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
First time coming here. We didn't know this place existed until I did a random Google search for events this weekend. We had a great time watching a comedy show this past Saturday (Shawn Felipe). Staff had excellent customer service and space was really nice indoors and outdoors. It was cool they had a photo backdrop area set up outside. There was a small parking lot and street parking available. We enjoyed the truffle fries and the calamari. We liked that the establishment felt very clean compared to other comedy clubs I've been to. And the tables and chairs were spaced out nicely, not squished together like other places. Another plus is at the door they just looked up our names on the list instead of having to bring printed tickets or pulling up the tickets on our phone. Loved that extra convenience. Can't wait to come back and enjoy another night out here. We will bring more friends next time.

Gina M.

Yelp
I have been here over 10 times and counting. This venue is nice and clean, great seating and reminds me of the intimate setting of Pub's Comedy Club in Embarcadero, but more down to earth. The food is delicious, drinks are on point and the lineups on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (and of course Drag brunch show on Sunday) never fail. I'm so glad this is on this side of the bay!
google avatar

Yelp
Good times at Alameda Comedy Club. The customer service is awesome, I am kindda a last minute person but the staff always fits me in to any desired show. The comedians are crazy funny, so come out support them!
google avatar

Phil J.

Yelp
This is one of the absolute best comedy clubs around. Way fewer hassles than getting to clubs in SF. The talent is top notch. You'll get names you know plus others you'll discover and love for the first time. And the food it top notch. No pump cheese nachos and microwave mozzarella sticks here. Instead you'll get thoughtful and tasty sliders, charcuterie trays, and more that elevate the experience. The owners are great, the staff is happy (that's a big tell right there), and the place is built to accommodate people of all physical abilities.
google avatar

Ron B.

Yelp
This place is dope. They have open mics on Thursday's, great comics on the weekends. The food is good the drink are not crazy expensive. The owner and his wife are so nice and the staff is excellent. Make sure this place is your go to stop for all the fun. They've only been open a year but they definitely know how to bring the funny. If you are a comic you can do open mics and even get your set video taped and given to you for $10 that is a steal. This place has it all. I highly recommend checking out their Thursday night open mics. This is some of the best 5 minute sets I've seen in a long time. A great way to spend two hours l. You could even stick around for the 8pm show and see a heavy hitting headliner.

Yelp
Alameda Comedy Club is the best!! The ownership does an exceptional job of making it *more* than comedy, however they also get the best bookings in the business and at the perfect venue. The food and drinks are very good too. Everyone there is always having a great time, and it's clear that the commitment and attention to detail by staff and owners has built such an environment. I would put myself in the box of "chill millennial" and can't wait to make my way back to ACC, with all my other not chill boomer friends, who managed to also have a really great time.

Yelp
What a great spot for my first comedy show! We came to see Laurie Kilmartin and what a show! She has 3 acts that opened her up and they were great! Nothing worse than a weak opening! While we were a huge fan of the first person who opened the show the next two comedians were great warming us up for Laurie! Then Laurie came on and it is no surprise that she was the opening act! She was super funny and it was a great fun show! There is a 2 "drink" minimum. You can purchase drinks or food to count towards this minimum. Make sure to order 2 things though because they will add a 2nd charge if you do not. There is a list of classic cocktails, wine and beer you can order. The food menu is on the smaller side but that is not the reason you are here. And there are some great bites to enjoy watching the show. Also there is street parking near the club or a parking lot right near so no worries on the parking! Fun spot to enjoy a first comedy show!!

Matthew W.

Yelp
Always a great time at the Alameda Comedy Club. The cocktails and food are both quite yummy. Customer service is top notch too! One time we bought tickets and something came up. They were very accommodating with transferring our tickets to the next show.
google avatar

Colin C.

Yelp
Absolutely love this club! Not only because Patrick and Lori treat us comedians so well, but I also love coming as a patron because they also book the very best headliners/features! I've yet to have anything on the menu that wasn't AMAZING!!! Definitely recommend checking out The Alameda Comedy Club next time you're looking for some live entertainment or even just a GREAT meal!

Yvonne V.

Yelp
Good affordable show/brunch. Highly recommend. My two grandchildren 12 & 17 enjoyed the show as well.
google avatar

Irene X.

Yelp
Super cute place, the comedy was good, although one of the female comedian was boring and the joke was a bit awkward. The reason for 2 stars is because of the dessert that we had, which is Banana Foster Fritters with caramel sauce ($8). It was the WORST banana fritters I've ever had. It was burnt, totally burnt doughs without the banana fruits in it. It is not banana fritters, and it is not eatable. It is very dry, they look like black meatballs! I couldn't believe this place serve GARBAGE to their guests! This "Banana Foster Fritters" IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE MENU UNLESS THIS PLACE JUST WANT TO OFFEND THE GUESTS AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!

Yelp
If you find yourself looking for a good evening, head over to Alameda comedy club. The staff is wonderful, the food is tasty and the bartender is happy to help you with whatever you might be feeling for. Even if it's a warm cup of tea for the evening. If anyone is reading this please: the rest rooms are to the left. Just wanna throw that in there. Also, thank you Hannah, you were not just incredibly sweet, but beyond hard working and I appreciate you so much. Everyone, go check out this comedy club. They have a cool puppy named Roscoe. And on the weekends the parking meters are free. Tip your wait staff. They rock.

Frank D.

Yelp
There were great vibes in the place. Staff was very attentive and on the ball. Had a great time at the Roast Battle. I was even roasted by the comics. I'll definitely be back in the future. (Maybe not on Roast night though. )
google avatar

Yelp
Threw a baby shower at Drag yourself to Brunch on Sunday and it was the most fun I've had in awhile. The food was good and the show was fantastic. Highly recommend. They check vaccination status bc it's indoors (really feels like you're in a nightclub during the day) and don't forget to bring cash to tip the performers!
google avatar

Oliver B.

Yelp
My first show amidst covid and felt safe, well taken care of and saw an amazing drag show (every Sunday brunch and show). From the bouncer who was lgbtq kind and welcoming, put a smile on my face and got me ready for an experience to match. Excellent, attentive service on their outside socially distances tables . Solid food with a complete brunch spread. I mean bacon, sausage, waffles, maple syrup with salmon, to fried capers, tar tar sauce and pickled red onions with a strong drink? Yes please, and thank you. They went above and beyond and we saw an amazing drag show that is happening weekly! Definitely worth checking out and supporting this gem
google avatar

Taylor S.

Yelp
We went to drag brunch and it was also delightful. Beautiful funny ladies, good food, and a great atmosphere.
google avatar

Edan A.

Yelp
I attended a drag show over brunch at the Alameda Comedy Club. This was an awesome combination of good food, good drinks, comedy and drag show with some fabulous queens!!! The performances were all fun to watch, highly entertaining and engaging. I plan to go there again soon for one of the many other programs they have scheduled. Maybe even participate in the open mic they have on Wednesday! Since we are at the Covid era, I must add that all precautions are taken to keep everyone safe. Tables are kept far apart and visitors are asked to avoid crowding near the stage. Temperature is taken at the entrance. Overall, I highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Tatianna A.

Yelp
This place was a really fun time!! Loved the location, drinks, food, people, and staff!! They use a cool system where you turn a light on at your table if you want to order so the staff doesn't have to always ask you, super efficient for the show. I will be coming back here!

Laura F.

Yelp
Honestly this is the best kept secret around! Spent the evening with a group of close friends on the cozily lit patio with heat lamps, a fire pit and comfortable chairs. Food was yummy (the teriyaki asparagus was especially delicious!!) and our servers were super warm, friendly and attentive. I've also been to the drag brunch and had a fabulous time! But i want to mention the Alameda Comedy Club as a great place to just gather for a drink and bite to eat. Queer-friendly and fun. Thanks for a great time- we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
A little over a week ago, my friends and I went to Alameda Comedy Club for the Drag Yourself to Brunch event. I was SO MUCH FUN! The breakfast was delicious (and there are options for vegans/vegetarians)! The standard breakfast came with waffles, sausage, bacon, fruit, quiche, and smoked salmon Outside of the breakfast, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the drag show was a HOOT! The queens were full of energy, had fantastic outfits, and got the crowd going wild! 10/10 I would recommend this venue and event to everyone! If you are new to the drag community, this is a great way to ease in and enjoy delicious foods and drinks simultaneously!
google avatar

Ana C.

Yelp
My fellow mama friends and I went to the Alameda Comedy Club for the "Drag yourself to brunch" show on Mother's Day and we had a great time! The drinks and food were delicious and the performers were amazing! The show was very entertaining and consisted of very talented beautiful performers. The venue was very clean and provided great ambience. We are definitely planning to watch more shows here in the very near future! Highly recommended!!!
google avatar

Holly E.

Yelp
A group of us went for their Sunday brunch drag show and had a great time. Service was great all around and the performers were awesome. It was my first drag show, and honestly I wasn't expecting much since it's Alameda which tends to skew conservative, but I was pleasantly surprised! Also! The food was surprisingly good?! The waffles were delicious and they even had Beyond sausage for the vegetarians. They bring the food out of platters to share, but I would prefer my own plate. Overall it was a really fun, welcoming environment and the host (I believe her name was Ava) was sweet and funny. I recommend it if you're on the fence!
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Ok. I didn't even know this place was around except my sorority sis works there on the weekends! So shout out to Sara (she was our waitress too ) Super easy to book a table online. Once you get there the tables are all socially distanced and you're required to leave your mask on unless you're actually eating or drinking. They do a temp check too. Not sure you'd expect the food at a comedy club to be so delish but let me tell you.....SOOO good!!! We tried a variety of things. The onion dip was my favorite! We had the corn dip too. Really good. Some pork belly sandwich sliders. Super flavorful! The drinks were good! I had a Bye Don! Creative and delicious! The comedy was good. One comedian had a rough start but it was a really fun night and something different to do. The place is super cute. The set up is nice and i appreciated the heaters!!! And our waitress-Sara!!! Yay! Very knowledgeable about all of the food and drinks! Super fun for a night out! We'll be back!

Swimmy B.

Yelp
Fun drag yourself to brunch Sunday. $50 with a drink and full breakfast- you will be stuffed. A full bar with reasonable prices and plenty of $1 bills for the talent. A good easy fun 2hrs with the talent. Totally recommend for couples or groups of friends or non friends because you don't need to talk to them :)

Yelp
I recently took my roommate to Alameda Comedy Club for a "Covid-Safe", much needed, escape. As a Registered Nurse, you're always double checking to make sure compliance and safety are number one priorities before you venture out - especially, when you have a loved one tagging along who trusts you. Folks, I am happy to report that we had the most amazing, safe, and delicious escape here at this amazing Club. I am giving it 4 stars, and all my recommendations. My only negative was hoping to have more menu options. But, I'm being a bit of an asshole, because it's during a Pandemic for the Love of Pete!!!‍ Thank you ACC for a fantastic respite a
google avatar

Yohannon H.

Yelp
This place had the bad fortune to open a year before the pandemic; I remember bing thrilled that my town was FINALLY going to have a professional level club (I'm a big fan of standup and improv, as is the family) so I was delighted when they were able to figure out a way to open safely by creating an outdoor stage and fewer tables/more distance inside. They also require vax and masks. Saw Jackie Kashian there in Sept. 2021 and not only were the opening acts and Jackie hysterical, I was VERY pleasantly surprised by how freaking good the FOOD was (unlike a near disastrous experience at Cobb's in SF where I couldn't even get the wait staff to my table to order; if it wasn't a rare small club Eddie Izzard show I would have just left, as it was I shamed the club into letting me get burritos nearby for my companion who was suffering a sugar crash); it was the first time in awhile I got food at a show and didn't need to hit a drive through afterwards as well (ie the portions were decently sized). Looking forward to seeing more shows there... they're less than a mile and a half from my house. On a good day I can WALK there and back. :-D The owners are fabulous; they love answering questions and don't take suggestions as complaints (at least if you're not being a d*ck about it).

Yael S.

Yelp
Our "Making $#!% Up" improv troupe juhad an AWESOME final show with a packed house, after a year-long run at Alameda Comedy Club! What a wonderful, intimate venue this is, with great food & drinks! RUN, don't walk to see shows at this terrific comedy club! SUPPORT LOCAL COMEDY!
google avatar

Alejandra D.

Yelp
Came for Nurses night out. Doors open too close to the start of the show and you have to eat during the comedians sets. The food was okay. Ordered the Flatbread and it was more like a cracker, way too crunchy! The drinks were good, ordered the jalapeño margarita and it was perfectly spicy. The churroswere good too, a little too much sugar though. The service was friendly and the two item minimum wasn't outrageous.
google avatar

Nate D.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place every time. The comedy is amazing and the servers are also. I highly recommend this place for a night out away from the kids or the family lol!!
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
I just recently went to Alameda Comedy Club and I couldn't be more impressed with such a fun time I had. Located just off of Park Street, Alameda Comedy Club boasts some of great local comics and national headliners on the weekend. The food is great and I'm a big fan of the sliders. When compared to other clubs the value couldn't be beat. You don't have to worry about parking, driving into SF or San Jose, not insanely expensive. Just a great time to be had. I highly suggest checking it out.
google avatar

Morgan A.

Yelp
i've been here many times and am always impressed with the show, service, drinks and food. i've been to tons of comedy clubs and the food is never great so i appreciate that this club has put effort into their menu. The sliders are insanely good and they also have vegan options which is nice. They do have a two item minimum, which is standard for any comedy club. i do appreciate that it is two items instead of two drinks as some clubs don't count food as part of it. every show ive been to has been great. i have been to this club over 8 times and have never been disappointed. the staff is always super friendly and attentive. if you haven't yet visited, do it! the comics they get are always hilarious!
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
A good drag show can't be beat - the over-the-top performances, lively music, and amazing crowd make for an incredible time. I'm so glad that the Alameda Comedy Club is around to bring drag shows to our neck of the woods. Their "Drag Yourself to Brunch" event got us a table for two, two mimosas, and a hearty spread with waffles, meat, and fruit for around $100 - not half bad. Of course, the real stars were the performers. Major shoutout to Bebe Sweetbriar, Scarlett Skyy, Venus Soleil, and Vicky Sparkle-Titz - they put on an incredible show that kept the energy going. I'll be back!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Been a couple times now and will keep coming back. Comedy is good. Food and drinks are above average. Atmosphere os so much better than other comedy clubs.
google avatar

Haley L.

Yelp
It was my first time going to a comedy club and I absolutely LOVED it! We saw Lou Lou Gonzalez, she had 2 other comedians perform before here who were GREAT & Lou Lou CRUSHED it! My boyfriend and I had such a good time and are looking forward to going back. My boyfriend had a Moscow Mule with Tito's and I had a Chardonnay. We also ordered the churros and some fries. The churros also came with chocolate sauce which was FIRE. The venue was very intimate so the comedians could really engage with the audience.
google avatar

Alicia Franzolini F.

Yelp
Best energy in Alameda! Whether it's Standup Comedy or Sunday's Drag Yourself to Brunch you are in for a blast! Great vibes , incredibly talented performers and the staff are true superstars! this place!
