"San Antonio chef Jason Dady is opening a new barbecue restaurant in the Alamo City, Alamo BBQ Co., which is now open. It’s taking the place of his other restaurant, Bin Tapas Bar. The change was needed due to the financial challenges of operating a tapas restaurant. This is his second barbecue restaurant, after Two Bros. BBQ Market with pitmaster Laura Loomis, who will also oversee the new restaurant’s pits." - Nadia Chaudhury

What a treat! We are from Nashville, TN and we went looking for authentic Texan bbq and found Alamo. We went on a beautiful evening and there was live music. It was just perfect. I ordered a Limonada and it comes with a popsicle in it! Cute and refreshing. The rim of my cup had Chamoy on it which I was not expecting. We don’t have Chamoy in TN and I didn’t love that but I just used a straw and bypassed it! My niece ordered a Blackberry Cider and my husband had the Tres Agaves Margarita. All were excellent. For dinner I had the chopped beef frito pie with Sour Cream, Cheese & Chives. It was fabulous! Intended as an appetizer but I made it my meal. My husband ordered 1/2 pound peach glazed baby back ribs, 1/2 pound beef brisket, and 1 smoked sausage. He also ordered the baked beans and macaroni and cheese. I tried everything on his plate and it was worth the trip! The brisket was my fave but it was all excellent. One of our nieces ordered the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese and mustard potato salad. She ate every bite. I personally didn’t love the baked beans. They were good but not my favorite flavors happening there. The macaroni and cheese is TOP NOTCH!! The potato salad was good, but different. It was milder than I expected. My other niece ordered a child’s plate and got 1/4 pound turkey. She declared it fabulous. For dessert we had the peach cobbler and it came with 3!! scoops of vanilla ice cream. So good! The staff were all friendly and our server, Sarah, was awesome! Thanks for a great dinner!

We came here for the first time ever, it was about 8:30 on a Saturday, the patio wasn’t busy at all which was nice! We sat outside, met with a couple friends and was quickly greeted by a waiter, couldn’t remember his name but he was great, he made suggestions on food and what and what not to drink. We ended up getting some Brisket of course, more on the moist side, rather than lean and some sides of Mac and Cheese and Creamed Corn. It was so delicious! We were happy with our choices of food. And since it was about 50 degrees outside on the patio, they had those heaters turned on and a nice firepit beside our table helped us stay warm as well. Oh! And they are dog friendly too, which is a definite bonus for us, because we love taking our dog out with us most of the time! Definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a good place to eat and relax.

Perfect family restaurant, under the trees, where the kids can run & play, and the pups can hang. Cici took care of our party of 17 as we celebrated Mother's Day, followedby a surprise birthday cake. She was exuberant and fun, taking great care of us, and fit right in with our boisterous group. We shared the backyard platter and had leftovers to spare. The brisket and pulled pork were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and pulled apart with a gentle touch with the fork. The turkey was moist and a hit with adults and children alike. They have homemade Mac n cheese, combined with brisket, that my 16 year old inhaled and went back for seconds. The live music set a fun, familiar vibe, and there was plenty of room to dance as the kids played on the playground just a few feet away. We will be coming here again, but it's too great an experience to keep to ourselves. Update Oct 2021 When you go, park in the lot around back. street parking is nonexistent.

We tried this place yesterday for the 1st time. I didn't eat but I had their Dripping Springs Moscow Mule. It was delicious and I highly recommend it. They also gave me a sample of their Spicy Margarita, that was good too. My Partner had The Big Tex and believe me it's big! So much meat.. You can have the coleslaw on the top of your sandwich or the side. The Boss or maybe they were the owner came by and said hi and asked how everything was. I thought that was nice. Good food and drinks. They have live music Friday and Saturday. Will have to come back and check it out.

I was looking for outdoor seating place that services food and has live music in the middle of the pandemic the other day, I found Alamo BBQ Company! Boy I was happy! I am very picky about the food I eat, so called foodie 😁, I give a thumb up to the food, service and music, they are all Suprem! You have to try their peach sauce!!! Very savory, peachy, sweet and salty, it is yummy! When I asked for extra peach sauce, waitress said “That’s what every body wanted, extra peach sauce! “ The guitarist did a great job singing and playing guitar. That little piggy status by the entrance is just too cute! Go visit this place, You won’t be disappointed!

Wait staff are amazing here. When I visited, a bunch of flies where everywhere once our food arrived. They brought over some tiny fans to fend off the flies, and it worked out. It was very much appreciated, and they did a wonderful job serving us. The only downfall is the food. The brisket did not have any flavor, sausage was mediocre, turkey was really good, ribs were alright, pulled pork is also a pass, and chopped brisket was decent. The cheesy chop was really good. A little too thick on the cheese for me personally, but overall it's delicious. I would order the cheesy chop if I go back. Potato salad was ok and the cream of corn was good. Overall it's a decent place.

It was very tasty today, for sure! Had the 2 meat plate with brisket & peach glazed short ribs, along with mac-n-cheese & slaw. First, the brisket and slaw were through the roof good, oh man! But, while the ribs were definitely good, they simply took a backseat for me when compared to the brisket. And, the mac was also good, but plain and simple was mac n cheese. No frills, no "adult" add-in's, but honestly, there was no need. It was very good! If I has any complaint, it would be that the indoor seating was pretty warm. But, if that's your complaint at a BBQ joint, I think you're pretty much doing OK. Also, they had Alamo Golden Ale on tap, which paired really friggin nicely with the BBQ! I for one, will be back!

we enjoyed Alamo on a Saturday evening. They had a nice live band playing great music. All the dishes were very good. Probably I would not order the beans- too sweet for me. Al he rest was top notch
