I recently visited Alamo Biscuit and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch, the staff (Nick, and Angela) were so friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. And let's talk about the food, every bite was delicious! The biscuits were perfectly fluffy, and the fillings were flavorful and creative. Plus, the location is amazing; enjoying such great food with a beautiful view of the River Walk made the whole experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Alamo Biscuit to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere!

Google
Checked out Alamo Biscuit Company during a stroll along the River Walk, definitely a plus for the location! The spot has a nice vibe, but overall, the experience was just okay. I ordered the Benedict Chicken on Biscuit, it sounded exciting, but taste-wise, it didn’t quite hit the mark. We also tried a biscuit dish with some Mexican flair (can’t recall the exact name), and that was also just fine — not bad, but not memorable either. Service could definitely be improved. It felt a bit inattentive and slow, which didn’t help elevate the experience. Overall, an average visit. Might be worth trying once if you’re nearby and curious, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

Heard about this place on social media and put it on my list to try when I made it into town. A conference brings me to the San Antonio River Walk this week so here we are! There were four of us and we stopped for lunch. What was ordered: macaroni and brisket fries, pork belly hash bowl, classic French toast plate, sausage, egg, and biscuit, and a barbacoa taco. The portions are big, so come hungry! Everything was fabulous from service to food. Ethan, our server was great! Stopping by in the morning for some coffee and pastries!

Google
I went to ABC based on a coworkers suggestion. Its convenient location and good food makes it a busy place. There was no wait when I arrived so I was seated quickly. My server was Ethan. He was informative, provided fast service, and checked back regularly. I had the pancakes and chicken. That one dish is enough to feed 2 people. The pancakes are as big as the plate and the tenders are hearty too. I had to have a to go bag.

Google
Hands down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve hit in San Antonio. I ordered the Brisket Mac Fries along with one of their all-day breakfast plates, and it did not disappoint. Let’s talk about that biscuit and gravy it was the star of the meal. The biscuit was soft, buttery, and fresh-baked, and the gravy was rich, peppery, and absolutely loaded with flavor. It’s the kind of gravy that makes you stop mid-bite and say “yep, this is the one.” The breakfast plate came stacked with smoked beef sausage, breakfast sausage, Wright’s thick-cut bacon, crispy potato hash, and two eggs cooked your way basically a full southern feast on one plate. And the Brisket Mac Fries? Insanely good. Cheesy, smoky, and everything comfort food should be. The restaurant itself has a cool, relaxed vibe and great service perfect for brunch or a lazy weekend breakfast.

Google
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!! If you are staying on the River Walk this is a MUST TRY!!! We had the Avocado Benedict, Three Stack Waffles with hash browns and bacon, Blueberry Cream Cheese Pancakes, and the Classic French Toast.

Google
The vegan options are SO good. We came for brunch on a Monday so it wasn't too crowded, and we got a lovely table right on the river with our dog. The staff was super friendly, brought extra water for our dog and checked on him frequently. We ordered a mimosa flight (excellent), the cabbage steak (incredible) and the jackirria tacos (wonderful). Our server Jesus was perfect. Highly recommend.

Google
Staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, I can tell they use quality ingredients, whole eggs (not powder) thick bacon, and fresh berries. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion size. The decor is so cute, also the music is not too loud and lights are not too bright. It’s a great addition to the River Walk, we will definitely be back! Pictured are the Blueberry cream cheese pancakes, SO GOOD! Thank you Nat!

Yelp
Brianna was amazing she had the best service. She was very kind and the food was great! The vibes were good and i'd recommend everyone come here!

Yelp
Honestly, the food wasn't mouth watering. I guess I was expecting more flavor or something unique about the biscuits but the service was amazing. Jasmine was very patient with us as we had questions and played with our daughter for a quick second. Overall, it was a good experience and the indoor seating was beautiful. Just wish the food let a mark on me

Kyle H.

Yelp
Loved our experience here, was a great way to end our anniversary trip here. Karina was an amazing waitress with a great personality and gave fantastic food suggestions. The french toast and brisket bennie were awesome, especially after a bad brunch experience we had at different restaurant the day before. We were also pleasently surprised by the great music choices they had going in the background to round out our experience.

Yelp
My daughter and I were in town for the weekend and had breakfast at ABC yesterday. What a lovely experience! It was early and the Riverwalk was quiet and beautiful. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and shown to our booth right away. Our server came by soon after and greeted us with menus. We ordered waters and when she returned with them moments later, we placed our order. I had a side biscuit with strawberry jam and my daughter had the lemon berry waffles, which came with bacon and potato hash. Everything was wonderful! My biscuit was both fluffy and creamy if that even makes sense. My daughter's waffles were so decadent! The bacon was perfectly cooked and the hash was really good. I'm so glad we ventured out for breakfast. :) Service A+ Food A+

Yelp
We came around 9:30am on a Tuesday and walked right in -- first table right on the River Walk. Such a peaceful and beautiful spot to start the day. We ordered a kids meal and the Lemon Berry Hot Cakes to share, and honestly, it was incredible. The berries were fresh and juicy, and the pancakes didn't even need syrup -- they were that good on their own. The lemon-berry combo with the cream cheese whip was next level. The bacon? So good I wish I had a whole plate of it. Our waiter Alex was attentive and friendly, and the whole experience was relaxed and memorable. We finished up and hopped right onto a Go Rio boat cruise next door -- the perfect start to our morning!

Yelp
Alamo Biscuit Company absolutely delivered on the food! The biscuits were fluffy, buttery, and perfectly baked... basically what biscuit dreams are made of. I ordered the sampler-style plate and each biscuit variation was better than the last. From the savory fried chicken to the melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, every bite was packed with flavor and topped beautifully with poached eggs and creamy sauces. However, I have to knock off a star due to the service. While the food came out looking and tasting fantastic, the overall service experience was underwhelming slow, inattentive, and lacking the same care put into the kitchen's work. If you're in the area, this spot is still worth the visit for the food alone. Just be prepared to be a little patient.

Yelp
I liked the place. The chicken was seasoned and fried well. But it could have some improvements. Despite asking for our biscuits to be cooked light we were given biscuits that were a little overcooked. Also, the brisket that my husband recieved was bland. Even though we mostly enjoyed our orders there could have been a lot of improvement.

Yelp
I made reservations for Alamo Biscuit Company & Panaderia - River Walk in San Antonio, TX, for brunch on 5.26.205. Because there were so many staff members buzzing around and several tables open, I thought we would be seated right away. Not so. We waited about 10 minutes before I got the text that they were ready for my party of 3. Service was nice, yet, painfully slow. They also messed up on my daughter's order and omitted cheese on her scrambled eggs. I had forgotten about that and "I didn't want to complain" was what she said when I asked why she wasn't eating her eggs. The waitress stopped by the panaderia to tell the nice lady there that my daughter could pick out a pastry of her choice. Then when the panaderia lady saw my other daughter she told her to pick one out too free of charge. That was very kind. The decor is extremely appealing. The large conchas for outdoor seating shade were so clever. On each dish, they put a little Alamo Biscuit Co. & Panaderia flag - an ode to The Gonzales Cannon & "Come & Take It" flag. Overall, though, I just did not like the food here. The hollandaise sauce alone was a huge miss for me. Slightly overcooked biscuits on my dish. Our order: - Iced Vanilla Latte ($5.50) - Pink Drink ($15) - Topo Chico ($4... the waitress, Leslie R., talked to my youngest daughter into this, and she found out she hated it. Lol) - Coffee (to go for me... $3.50) - Avocado Benedict ($14... their hollandaise sauce was terrible) - French Toast Plate w/ Sunny Side Egg ($16... my youngest didn't even touch her French toast and I found out why - it didn't taste good at all.) - Blueberry Cream Cheese Pancakes w/ Scrambled Eggs (super sweet pancakes... I tried these & did not like these at all. My daughter ate most of it I think. $15) - Add Cheese to Eggs: Cheddar ($1.00) There were several misspellings ("avacado" for avocado & "hollandise" for hollandaise) on the menu itself too which I found odd for such a professional and modern-looking restaurant. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 3 | Service: 3 | Ambiance: 5 | Price: 4

Yelp
Leo was our waitress and she was very attentive, kind and helpful. Brisket fries, 8/10 It has a charred taste for the meat , not bad but not my personal favorite but everyone else enjoyed it. They ran out of caramel creamer for the latte so we opted for Vanilla 9/10 and white chocolate 10/10 Eggs Benedict 8/10 Brisket Taco 10/10 Biscuit French toast 8/10

Yelp
This establishment is open 24/7 and serves their full menu all day. I got the Yardbird which was their fried chicken and it was amazing! I got Brussel sprouts but they were pretty hard and didn't seem to be cooked all the way through. Our waitress Samantha S was so amazing the entire night. When I told her about the Brussel sprouts not being cooked all of the way with no questions asked she took them back and brought new ones but those were still hard. She allowed me to substitute with corn and again was quick and no questions asked. The service was great! We didn't have to wait and the restaurant environment was pretty great too.

Yelp
Nice place that was close to our hotel and is open 24 hours. Large, so it's good fot big parties, too. Food was fine. Breakfast all day, and eggs dominate the menu. They'd stopped serving two of the items we wanted, so we had to shift and got burgers. 4 of us got burgers and all came out wrong, but they were fine. Service was good. If you're not looking for special, this place will do jilust fine and won't break the bank.

Yelp
While in San Antonio me and the Mrs. decided to try and compare biscuits here in San Antonio versus the biscuit place in Austin. Nice big location right on the riverwalk that apparently opened recently. Upon arriving we asked to be seated outside but were told that even though there were tables available outside we would have to sit inside because they had just sat a party outside so they needed to sit us inside so that other wait staff could get a table.? Ok we sat inside and were greeted by a bubbly waitress. We tried the Chicken Biscuit, the Smoked Sausage Biscuit, and a bacon and egg taco. Both biscuits were very crumbly especially on the edges. The chicken was fried but overcooked creating a chewy piece of chicken. Both biscuits had some scrambled eggs that were cooked extremely hard The stars were the smoked sausage itself and the corn tortilla itself.

Yelp
The biscuits are bomb! The AM bartenders were bomb especially Quinn! Mimosa flights, all 3, were bombs! Ambiance was bomb. Such a really fun experience and food was good. We sat outside at 10 am and the bugs got us. Moved to the bar. Great experience. They are open 24 hours! We will be back this trip!

Yelp
Really great experience. The ambiance is gorgeous, lots of picture worthy walls and decor. The French toast was incredible, a desert experience. I wouldn't get the Nashville hot again, I didn't enjoy the flavor of it, but the biscuit it was on was heaven. Would definitely go again. Oh, the French 75 cocktail was one of the best I've had. Well made.

Yelp
In between a 3 and 4. We sat outside which was nice, took a while for our waitress to come by though. Forgot silverware when delivering the food and forgot napkins, but she was nice. The food: Blueberry pancake : Very good but SUPER sugary (my son said expected lol). Side of potatoes were a little soggy. Brisket Biscuit Sandwich: was not impressed. Not much brisket at all and just drowning in disgusting fake cheese Pork Belly Hash: Really good! Good portion too. The pork belly was spot on.

Yelp
Service was great thanks to Tashawn. I recommend trying the sweet flight. My coffee was just right. Will return for sure.

Yelp
Ethan was incredible! They were super busy, and he came back with every single thing we needed. Thank you so much!

Yelp
The food is always delicious at Alamo Biscuit Company! Definitely a place to visit if you are on the Riverwalk and looking for breakfast or brunch. Service was kind of slow and it wasn't that busy but nonetheless the food was good. Just your average biscuit meal but Delicious.
google avatar

Lina P.

Yelp
We are visiting and decided to try this place for breakfast. We ordered the Brisket Mac Fries, it was disappointing. The Mac was bland, they missed the opportunity to add some flavor and the Brisket was dry. I wouldn't order it again. The Biscuit French Toast and Blueberry Cream Cheese Pancakes were delicious and memorable. The service was great, our waitress was helpful and checked on us several times.

Yelp
This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I have been to in past couple of years. I haven't written a bad review in so long but this was so terrible that I just couldn't stay quiet. First of all, it's 6pm on a Friday. The restaurant is empty with probably 4 families. It took 10min for the server to come and over 20 min for the food to come. The food arrived cold and sad. The Ceasar salad croutons were stale af. The dressing was runny and doesn't even taste like ceasar. I got the street tacos and the meat was skimped. No salsa and they forgot my rice. The trio slider was cold and flavorless. The only thing ok were the spicy tots and they weren't even spicy. The servers don't care and are no where to be found. This place is trash

Yelp
This place was amazing!! Our server Jessica is amazing!!! She was very attentive and helpful when helping us making decisions on what to get. Next time in San Antonio I will definitely be back looking for my girl Jessica!

Yelp
An hour to get served? Don't think we really asked for anything out of the ordinary, just asked for a gluten free biscuit with our Sunday morning breakfast meal. Food was out of this world once we got it. Just don't come in super hungry. Worst part was people who were seated much later than us, got their food before we did. When finally saw our waitress and I inquired about our food, "we are really backed up today". Not a good answer honestly.
google avatar

Yelp
Who can't cook eggs?? Two failed attempts on over medium eggs..... gave up. It took 40 minutes from placing the order to the food arriving at the table on a slow Wednesday morning at maybe 30% capacity. Rude waitress, slow service, lackluster food........ save yourself the trouble and buy a packaged muffin and an OJ at the convenience store next door and enjoy your day.

Yelp
We arrived in town and were hungry for something different. This looked different and new. We come to town often for work. The menu is unique and very interesting. We both had Benedict's (country fried steak Bennie and an avocado Bennie) Mine (steak) was delicious Hollendaise with a lil kick Gravy with mash was fantastic Eggs perfectly poached All on top of a ginormous biscuit which was great. I don't really care for or eat country fried steak and this was wonderful. They are open 24hrs and right on the river walk (aside from the mall adjacent to fogo de chao After a day or sightseeing, time in conventions (TMEA, tba/tcda) or living up the town - this is a great spot to get good food in your belly. I'll be back.
google avatar

Anasofia T.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast while in town for an event at the convention center and was very pleasantly surprised by the amazing service! Jessica immediately made me feel welcome and even offered me a concha since it was my first time visiting. I had the breakfast bowl (no meat) and it was just okay. However, I would back for the great service and concha's!
google avatar

Yelp
We got an appetizer of the savory flight, it was pretty good. I got the blueberry cream pancakes, it comes with scrambled eggs and a potato hash and a strip of bacon. Over all I liked it, the eggs were a little weak but it wasn't anything salt or eating them with the potato's couldn't fix. My husband got the abc burger, he didn't enjoy it unfortunately. The meat is very clearly a frozen patty which was well done and lacked any seasoning he said. He got almost half way and couldn't finish it, he did enjoy the tots that it came with though. We both enjoyed the atmosphere, the restaurant is beautiful and the music wasn't too loud. Our server was nice as well.

Yelp
Walked in from the river walk just to check out their pan dulce, the waiter/host? Was very friendly and let us know that he could get our bread together when we were ready to decide, it looks like a self serve area but it's not. It was a dozen for about $11 which I feel like is a pretty good value. I ended up ordering a vanilla iced latte that hit the spot and we ordered fries to go.(fries were still tasty after walking 5 mins back to our hotel room) They are a new restaurant and open 24 hours. I'd love to stop by and actually try their menu. My review is based on attentiveness, friendliness and the pan dulce was pretty good. It's in a convenient location, for sure. Decorated beautifully - def photo opy.

Yelp
Visited around 10:30pm Saturday night and had the worst first (and last) experience ever. My boyfriend and I were there for almost an hour and a half, with majority of that time waiting for food, and the other waiting to be served. We were greeted by a very nice hostess. We got sat at a table, and waited for 10 minutes to be greeted, trying to flag down a server. After it was clear we were not going to be acknowledged, I went to the bar and asked if we could sit at their counter, and they said yes. We moved to the bar, and the service was just as bad. It took 10 minutes for sodas even though we were the only bar top guests, and over an hour for food. I'm not sure if our bartender was new, but she was very forgetful. We had asked the status of our food after the 30 minute mark. The bartender said it would be out soon. 20 minutes pass, and we ask again, and the bartender stated that it was ready, but the chef would not let her take our meal until the servers took out their food. So, who knows how long our food was sitting under a heat lamp? I've been in the restaurant industry and have NEVER heard of this. For a $50 meal, you would think the price of that would be reflected in the taste and service. Our pasta was dry because again, it was most likely sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long, and my Caesar was limp. I brought up concerns to the bartender, and she said "I can get a manager if you want". Why not just be proactive and bring a manager over in the first place after the first issue? Overall, I would not recommend this place. Absolute terrible experience.

Yelp
Cute spot on the Riverwalk with a hearty menu. They were having some tech issues when I was there (espresso machine down, air conditioner not working well), but the server tried very hard to make it a good experience. Food was good, but HEAVY. Be prepared for a nap after.
google avatar

Lyndsey G.

Yelp
Vibes were immaculate, river views were beautiful and the service Lee provided was unmatched. He was very super social and very attentive. We were a big group and he took amazing care of us and we had a great time! We will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Destynee W.

Yelp
Was in town for a work conference. The customer service was really good! That we actually came to the restaurant two different times. Once for dinner and the other time for breakfast. So the biscuits are a must. The only downside is they didn't have my jelly preference but the blackberry was okay! The biscuits are huge so don't think you are about the eat several. The regular biscuit is buttery and fluffy. The biscuits are not dry at all! For breakfast I had a breakfast biscuit with eggs, cheese and bacon! This thing was good and I needed to eat it with a knife and fork. For the dinner that I had the brisket, Mac, fries. These things were delicious the portion is definitely meant to be shared! My colleague had the shrimp and grits and they were remarkable! Seasoned to perfection! The seating in the restaurant is either outside along the riverwalk or inside seating. The inside has an artsy modern feel or bistro feel but it's comfortable.

Yelp
It's a relatively new business in the mall area advertised 24 hour service we went at 11am for the first time and it seems they are experiencing some issues. Food took along time for 5 of us and when it arrived the biscuits and gravy were cold. The waitress seemed to be working very hard and was spot on with drinks you could tell she was trying to make up for the long time it took to get our meals. Food was ok but there are many other restaurants that are better

Kyle G.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken fried steak. There was far more breading than meat. The meat was overcooked, tough and bland/not seasoned. The breading didn't stick to the "steak". It came with mashed potatoes that were not seasoned, and just tasted of dairy. I ordered Brussels sprouts as an additional side and they tasted only of salt... overall it was a rough meal, and not worthy of being on a menu... the server was nice. The restaurant was not very busy but it took along time to get served and cash out...

Yelp
We passed this place coming into San Antonio for our stay. We made it a point to eat here b/c it had a cool name, and we love panaderias. First of all, I wish they'd power wash the walk area coming in here. It looked really dirty. Secondly, we checked in and noticed other parties checking in were also getting seated before us. Third of all, food was ok, our server forgot about us, and we had to keep asking other employees for condiments, silverware, water. Hopefully, this place can do better.

Michelle M.

Yelp
amazing food was great ! Tashawn was awesome ! would come again ! This place was amazing. So friendly

Yelp
By far the best food on The San Antonio Riverwalk. Alamo Biscuit Company provides a perfect slice of Texas and San Antonio with a diverse breakfast and dinner menu served 24 hours a day. The ambiance is clean and modern. At the time I visited, they had only been open for about 2 weeks. The staff is friendly and caring. Alamo Biscuit Company is not your average Riverwalk restaurant experience. As a yocal, I would take friends and family to eat here... The briscuit , Mac and cheese fries are great and the chicken and waffles were savory.
google avatar

Harper M.

Yelp
Food wise this place has nailed pancakes I was extremely satisfied for my taste. However I was underwhelmed with the eggs and potatoes seasoning, disappointing since this location prides themselves on breakfast. The service was kind, but there was a 30 minute wait when the restaurant had no customer traffic. I enjoyed the ambiance and plating of food was nice.

Melissa T.

Yelp
From start to finish, this was a disappointing experience. The outside hostess repeatedly seated people she knew or liked ahead of guests who had been waiting much longer, which caused confusion for the staff trying to follow the seating list. After waiting 40 minutes to be seated, we endured very slow service. Despite having our order repeated back to us, it still came out wrong, and one member of our party had to wait significantly longer for her food. When the meals finally arrived, they were bland, poorly prepared, and certainly not worth the hype. For the price, the quality was unacceptable. To make matters worse, the restrooms were dirty. Between the disorganized seating, slow and inaccurate service, disappointing food, and lack of cleanliness, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I left feeling frustrated and let down.

Yelp
We had a great time at Alamo Biscuit this weekend. It was NCAA Final4 weekend, and the place was packed...somehow we got a seat JUST before the line stretching down the sidewalk formed. The service was friendly and fast. We had a biscuit with chicken, waffles, tacos, burgers, and something with pork belly...amazing! It's a scratch kitchen, which is impressive on the Riverwalk. One person in our party is gluten intolerant (there always seems to one person in every crowd)...they were able to offer gluten-free substitutions for both biscuits and the waffles. As a full-gluten diner, I frankly could not tell the difference...who knew? We live here in San Antonio, so we really don't go to the Riverwalk unless we have guests from out of town. We don't "do" chain restaurants, so It's great to we have somewhere to take them with a some local flavor. I wish we took more pictures, but when the food showed up, some of us went right to work. We will be back.

Grace W.

Yelp
Very good shrimp and grits and recommend the Nashville hot too. That's a biscuit sandwich with spicy fried chicken breast. The biscuit is big so it was very filling and the chicken was crunchy yet very moist. Our waitress, Tashawn, was super friendly and peppy. She gave us very good food recommendations and just great service with a smile.

Jalen M.

Yelp
Keish was our waitress and she made our first time experience great. We will be returning

Yelp
Please take the time to read the reviews about the poor service--our first mistake was ignoring them. We were seated at 11:00 AM and didn't place our drink and appetizer orders until around 11:15 AM. Our main course order was taken by 11:30 AM, and our appetizer finally arrived at 11:41 AM. By 12:00 PM, we started to get concerned. We understood there might be a wait, but we noticed several tables that were seated after us were already receiving their meals. We asked our server for an update, and his only response was that it was a full house and our order was in the system, so it would come out when it was ready. At that point, we made the mistake of paying early--some members of our group had to leave soon, and we were still hopeful the food would arrive shortly. By 12:15 PM, still with no food in sight, we flagged down another server who brought over a manager. She informed us there was a "food queue," and ours had been in for 33 minutes--which she said was normal, as the average wait is 30-40 minutes. However, we reminded her that our food order was placed by 11:30 AM, which didn't add up. She responded that the timing was based on when our server actually entered it into the system--something we, as guests, have no control over. We finally received our food at 12:38 PM. At that point, the server never checked back in with us after we had paid--once they had our money, it felt like we were completely forgotten. To top it off, the blueberry pancakes arrived without any blueberries or the toppings listed on the menu. By then, we had to leave, having waited over an hour and a half for food we didn't even get to enjoy properly. No apologies were offered--just excuses. This was hands down the worst dining experience we had during our trip to San Antonio.

Yelp
Great food, great service from Ethan!!!!! The coffee is really good, but not be over overshadowed by the biscuits.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Waitress took our order more than 10 mins after being sat and never came back. We had to ask several other servers for refills, condiments, etc. Music is way too loud. Can't even have a conversation. Food is pretty decent and quick.
