Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Woodbridge

The Alamo is a great dinner theater concept and always hits the mark. This was my first time at this location and the first thing you'll notice is that it is on brand with the iconic movie posters lining the walls at you approach your theater. The menu provided a large number of movie favorite options, entrees, and adult beverages for consumption with a great bottom-less popcorn deal. The staff were attentive, quick, friendly, and during the main feature, ghost like moving quietly to help customers with refills and additional orders. When the lights come on, you may be surprised to see that this is an older Alamo location as the seats and arm rests are worn and the seat trays do not pivot (making getting up and out of seats a little difficult since you are seated so far back in the chair). The Alamo brand is a favorite theater chain and I was glad the experience was consistent across locations!

I absolutely love Alamo Drafthouse Cinema! I came here with my boyfriend to watch FNAF and had such a great experience from start to finish. The theater was super comfortable, the food was great, and our server Mark was really funny which made the whole night even better. It felt cozy, fun, and honestly like the perfect date night spot. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Best movie theater in the Woodbridge area! Alamo Drafthouse is hands down the best cinema around. The staff is always kind, attentive, and ready to help, which really makes the experience even better. The location is beautiful and family-friendly—there’s even a splash pad with water jets right in front of the theater, which is perfect for kids on warm days. The food is also great! The chicken tenders are delicious and the dipping sauce is amazing. Their cocktails are well-made too. I also love that they offer kid-friendly screenings with dimmed lights and lower volume—such a thoughtful touch for families. The seats are super comfortable, and the whole theater is clean, modern, and well-run. This is our go-to spot for movies. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing first experience. As a film lover I was excited to finally be able to visit an Alamo. I have reduced my trips to theaters over the years because other people can be inconsiderate. I had heard that Alamo had a very strict policy against talking, noise, and phone use during shows. While visiting family over the holidays we decided to go see a movie and got excited to experience Alamo. There was a group of 3-4 women at the end of our row that constantly talked, played with their phone, and walked around during the show. It was surreal. I've never seen anything like it. And there were only a few other people there, so if any of us reported them it would have been obvious who did. We assumed someone would come in at some point and ask them to settle down, but the servers kept delivering to them and never said anything. We stopped to mention it to the counter person when leaving and just got a slight empathetic nod. Maybe it's just this location? Too bad.

The pizza and popcorn were very good, but a bit pricey. The service was great. The movie visual and sound quality were both awesome for Avatar Fire and Ash.

11/10 atmosphere, 10/10 drinks 🍸, and 10/10 service. Best Halloween movie experience I've had!

Had a great time at the movies today with my sister. Our server Mark was phenomenal, it was my first time at Alamo and he didn’t fail to make it a great experience! The food and service was great would definitely recommend if you want your movie experience enhanced 😍.

Clean, have a lot of space. There is a play area for kids and parents are chilling. It's a nice lovely scenery. Movie area was nice and clean before the movie started. There is a bar if you need something to drink on. The food was so good and delicious. I'll give this place a 9.4/10

I love going to Alamo for a solo date night. The food is just ok. The drinks and service are great.

Needs major improvement: - Bring out refillable drinks before bringing out popcorn. It doesn't make any sense to bring out popcorn and have customers to have dry mouth and be thirsty for more than 25 mins - Don't send anyone out with just one drink in their hand and nothing else. - Staff doesn't monitor the red lights and take entirely too long to respond and check them. The three ladies sitting next to me talked at their regular voices the entire movie. They giggled and keep getting up the entire time - They took over 30 mins to refill my soda

First time going to Alamo Drafthouse and it was a great experience. Ordering food was super easy. I ordered the Royale with cheese. It came with fries and was delicious. The food came out nice and hot. Service was great and the being able to put my feet up was the cherry on top. Definitely looking forward to going back.

I love it here! Sometimes the food is better on certain weekends but overall I enjoy the experience a lot.

How can you mess up the thing you're supposed to be known for in the service industry My previous reviews of the Alamo draft health have been positive. But their quality and service have dropped precipitously last night in the last few years. I went to the movies for a 645 showing. I arrived at 6:48, sat in my seat, ready to order my dinner for the evening, and enjoyed a show. I thought it was straightforward when I made my order, which consisted of a chicken club popcorn with no butter and a Coke. Given that I only asked, they omitted the butter from the popcorn, tomatoes, and lettuce from the sandwich. After an hour and 15 minutes, I had still not received my popcorn or drink. When the food runner came to the patrons beside me to refill their drinks, I asked where my food was, and the server replied. The kitchen is backed up. Fifteen minutes afterward, I received my drink. When I received the drink, I canceled the popcorn, knowing I would not have enough time to enjoy it. Fifteen additional minutes pass, and my food finally arrives, except it is cold. When I got up from the movie to request a manager, my original server intercepted me and stated that they were in a different theater and realized someone had taken my popcorn to another patron, but they never redelivered a batch for me. The server was kind understanding and very apologetic when I returned my food, and she removed it from my bill. What's surprises me? The most is if you tout yourself as a dinner and movie experience, you should at least make good on one part of your promise providing high-quality food and service at dinner. What was also disappointing was the fact that when I looked on the app to purchase tickets the app showed most all seats sold which caused me to not sit with my group but when I arrived there were still open seats beside me and them. Please do better Alamo!

First time visiting here and I must say I had a really good time with my wife. The seats were comfortable and the waitress was really attentive. The theater was practically empty so I hope the service is the same when it's full. We went for a special party and they had some pretty cool props for us. They also had a couple of special drinks for the movie so we decided to try both. They were definitely generous with the alcohol. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and some chips and queso. Both came out pretty quick and tasted good. Overall the prices were not really bad. I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to stand in line and order food then carry everything into the theater. I look forward to going back again.

I've been here several times and never been disappointed! Food is always tasty and arrives quickly. Service is fast and friendly. The theatre is alarmed quiet and clean. Can't ask for more!

What a clean theater! I came here with my family to watch Wicked and we had such a great experience. Our server was attentive, margarita was delicious, and our seating area was clean. We purchased our movie tickets in advance online--a seamless process. They are also conveniently located in Stonebridge, so you can shop or dine after.

Took an hr to get mozzarella sticks and a shake. I will not be coming back to this location to say the least. They offered nothing but to expedite the order from when I asked them where my order was.

Met someone for drinks on a Tuesday night. Place wasn't too busy. Clean, good service.

First off I love this theater. Last night was an issue. I know every business has its days but correction and good customer service resolves that. We were there to watch the new movie Megan. We ordered our food 15 min before the movie started. Our order consisted of only a Caesar Salad, Buffalo cauliflower, and loaded fries. The movie started and after 30 minutes I had to walk to the kitchen to see the issue. They then bought out the food but both hot items were cold. There was know I'm sorry for the wait or anything to make the situation better. We paid the check and left. Recommendation: when that happens, simply acknowledged the error and apologize. If they are a good customer that will suffice.

We purchased tickets for the Color Purple on Friday evening and online it showed it was nearly sold out. This was our first time attending an Alamo drafthouse. We arrived 30 minutes early as the tickets said and a group of people together shifted down and were sitting in our two seats. They stated one of their seats was broken and asked if we were ok with it. We stated if the staff can find us new seats yes but the movie was almost sold out so I doubt it. The waiter came in and then a manager and told the family they would need to move back to their original seats or come back another day due to the movie being a full house. The movie started and eventually ended and there were a total of one family and two couples in the entire theatre and we were all in the same row! It was frustrating because we could have spread out, the family with the broken chair could've moved to an operational chair, and it makes you wonder if the theater maliciously pretended this movie was sold out to prevent ticket sales of this movie. Minority movies already struggle to get big sales so when a theater falsely advertises it's sold out that prevents people from purchasing tickets to it. This was also on a Friday where sales generally are higher. I do not condone the untruthful tactics used and will not return.

The customer service is horrible, seat are rundown and my order is always wrong. Today I tried watching a movie and I was late. I know, I should have been on time. I didn't think it was fair to keep my convenience fee because they didn't let me in. I was there by 6:45pm and the movie started at 6:30pm. I'm not coming here again.

This movie never fails with great customer service everything comes and received in a timely manner. The staff was awsome .

My kids love going here, but it's far from my favorite. The food service when they first opened was great. The last few times though, it's been an issue. Our last visit, they brought out the wrong pizza. Drinks were missing. When I told someone, they sent another person (manager?) to ask me what the problem was. All I wanted was the pizza we ordered, and our drinks. They did fix the problem, but it was frustrating and took a long time to resolve. As a short person, I don't find the seats comfortable. I also don't like the way the tables are set up. The theater at Springfield Mall has much better reclining seats and tables. I find the set up at Alamo very akward for eating anything other than popcorn.

It has gone way down hill. I loved the Alamo when they first opened and many years afterwards. The Staff doesn't address you because they are so busy on their phones It smells bad like the carpets need the deepest cleaning that can be provided. We found our seat and all of the leather or leather material was rubbed off the seat looked disgusting and unclean. Lastly the server was soooo very rude to the neighboring couple. They neglected to write their menu choices on the card and he was so nasty to them. He huffed and said " you were supposed to write it down" My thing is what does it matter? His demeanor was like he was being inconvenienced. Jeffery L was nicer when it was time to get a tip.

My wife, daughter, and I really enjoyed our time there. We had great service, good food and loved the margaritas. Also appreciated that they have a policy that ensures people aren't talking the entire film ruining it for others. I had the pepperoni pizza which was delicious. My wife had a salad and my daughter had french fries. . Did I mention the Mezcal Watermelon Margaritas were

let me count the ways this place sucks - service is non existant. write ur order on a piece of paper, put card up / light on and wair. eventually someone comes to look at the paper and punch it into an ipad. inefficient, slow and unrequired labor. food is ok but $30 for a burger, beer and tip that takes forever to receive - no go. bathrooms are disgusting - come on folks, u cant even do the basics. not going back.

The Alamo is a great place to go for a movie and dinner. My family and I went there to see Despicable Me 4 was surprised by the great customer service, attentiveness, and cleanliness. We'd definitely return again before heading to Loudoun. It's great to have great options.

me and my friend went here for a movie they automatically charged a tip even though we didn't leave me one my friend called the next day and the manager said she would refund the $10 so tell me why the next morning the they charged another $65 to my friends card so at this point they took 140 out my friend card these people are stealing. taking money out our card without our concent

We love coming to the Alamo, and have a hard time going to other theaters because we love it so much here! The seats are comfortable and the popcorn is awesome! (Be sure to ask for light butter, unless you want your fingers to be dripping).

Food i like and had no problems before with it,well one time they didn't refill popcorn but is ok but it stinks inside those,every time we came it smelled gross and stuffy

Loved the ease of booking online, ordering food & beverages was a breeze and having it delivered to your seat was the icing on the cake! The seats are very comfortable with heat controls. Great experience overall :)

This has been the theater of choice for my husband, so much so that he got the monthly subscription. But for the last three consecutive visits, there have been issues related to the food/beverage service: 1. My husband went on his own. He ordered popcorn, beer, and a glass of water. The glass of water never came. 2. Our family of four attended a movie. We ordered popcorn, a drink, and glasses of water for the kids. Despite two requests the water never came. 3. My husband went on his own again. He was given and charged for a beer he didn't order. It's now become the expectation, rather than the exception, that there will be some sort of issue with that part of the experience. Disappointing.

This is a very comfortable theater with a great concept of service. It used to be really good, but has gone downhill in recent years. The food is decent and reasonably priced for the venue. The service is very lackluster. With a party of three, our drinks, ordered at the same time, were brought out by three different people at three different times. Our seat neighbors had to remind the servers they did not get the beers they ordered. My daughter ordered a pineapple fruit punch. The first one tasted like pure lime juice, so I sent it back with the complaint it was too tart and had no pineapple flavor. The second one was only mildly less tart and still undrinkable, so it was returned as well. Lastly, the volume of the movie is just too loud. It was actually painful to our ears. Probably won't be returning here in the near future.

Went to watch twisters. Movie was great service SUCKED. There were burnt kernels of popcorn in the popcorn waited 40 mins for our drinks. Really not wanting to go back

Overall had a great experience! Visited this theater for a private birthday party. Waiters were attentive and brought the food out in a timely manner. I ordered the fish and chips which were good but I must say the three pieces of fish I received were rather small. Other than that I would definitely visit again as I enjoyed the overall experience.

My friend and I were the only patrons asked to show our tickets just as the movie began.. I followed the young man to the hallway to ask the reason. The manager Calvin overheard my question and interjected, immediately attempting to downplay it by stating its 'Alamo' policy to ask to check everyone's ticket.. However no one else was asked to prove their purchase. I informed the manager how this has never happened previously and asked if he understood the optics.. my lady and I being the only people of color in the theater. It felt calculated and deliberate. Instead of any apologies Calvin defended the incident by pointing out that 'we are on the same side'. Whatever that means. Racial profiling comes from black folks as well.

I was very disappointed that when I bought my 2 tickets online, and came into the movies to get my military discount of $4.00 as usual I could not get it. For some reason, the Alamo changed the last 4 digits of my credit card number when I ordered the tickets online. As a result, they said because the digits didn't match, I could not get a discount. It wasn't because I used an online tap to pay card or anything. They literally just changed it. So, I asked for a $4 credit towards another movie, and they said there's nothing they can do. Their credits are only $18 and up. I said well that doesn't make sense as these tickets don't even cost $18 each, they were only $15 each. It's terrible customer service to do this to a Veteran....

Our last experience was terrible. My wife and I, went to see the new bad boys movie. We were the first to sit down and place our order and as others sat down and order they all received their orders before we did. When I asked about our order the server seemed annoyed that I had the audacity to ask about our order 25 minutes into the movie. Once it did come out our food was cold. Mozzarella sticks just didn't taste right cold neither did the wings which had no sauce btw... we also had to share one sauce cup of ketchup although both of our orders came with fries. I was extremely confused. Then we place a second order of drinks, which also took an extensive amount of time to receive. The server didn't bother to ask whose drink was who's just placed them down on our table and walked off. We also had asked for ketchup with the drinks which came 15 minutes after our drinks at that point my wife and I were done with the food. Didn't even bother eating it all. To pay $80 plus the movie tickets for that kinda service is ridiculous. Thank god the movie was good or the night would have been a complete disaster. Maybe we picked the wrong seats to sit in cause it was just one thing after another. Service has fell off severely...

The reclining seats are comfortable and the big show theater has a clear picture and sounds very crisp. They also provide you with the option to order food during the movie. It's a good thing it's dark in theater to prevent people from taking photos of the human rights violations they serve you. I had the Hellfire Burger ($17) and it was cooked to an inedible char as if they had cooked it in the fires of hell .... Diet Coke was cold and tasted correct. Overall the food didn't ruin the experience, the beer helped make it much better.

This used to be my favorite theatre to go to. But lately that has not been the case. People have started to make noise when watching movie, and their "manager" unlike the warnings say, seem to do nothing. The margarita I had was the worst tasting one I've ever had... And their usual cool pre-shows before a movie starts has been really bad. It's frustrating because I know they can, and have done better.

I've been to this movie theater plenty of times and I love the comfort and convenience you get when you order your meal. However this is the second time it's happened to me and the first time I brushed it off cus I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Went to go see the new renaissance movie which was 3 hours long!! Not hating on the length of the movie but I order food before the movie even started for me and my mom and they never brought it out. I went at the 7:30 screening and was hoping to eat dinner but the movie ended at 10:30 and no food was ever brought out! I was hungry and even asked one of the employees if I was ever getting my food. He told me it'll be right out. It never came!

First time experiencing a drafthouse. It was good and may try again if there is a movie I want to see at a movie theater.

Really enjoyed this theater with my granddaughter we came to see Barbie. It was Nanna and granddaughter time, and she had to see the movie. The food was good but pricey. The seats were very comfortable and very clean. I will come back again. The staff was very attentive and fast, which I did love. There is no cash exchanged which is wonderful. Not a bad seat in the house as we were sitting in the handicap section due to my knees. They are very accommodating and offer military discounts as well.

Great place to watch a movie! The establishment is VERY clean. Tables, seats, theater in general. Bathroom was pretty clean for a 10pm show. Seats are pretty close together but they do recline and rows are spaced apa The staff here is extremely friendly and professional. We arrived 35 minutes early and were let in around the 30 minute mark to go inside. The decor in the theater is very modern and nice. We came in December to the Spider Man movie. In front of the venue is a very well lit area with ice skating rink. We will definitely visit this theater again.

This was a absolutely wonderful experience at this Movie theater and the staff was A 1 top notch also the food and drinks were great and there's a young lady that is one of the bartenders she is hilarious

It's crazy that we went from 0 movie theaters to two in one week. My wife and I came to watch Eternals here and enjoyed the Cinema. They had happy hour, except you could only enjoy it in the lobby. My wife and I ordered food and drinks, and ordering was effortless. I wish the table would swivel so that you can eat it without having to sit on the edge of the seat. I'm hoping down the road, the Alamo will be able to place an order on your phone and have the food delivered to your seat. I think this may make the process better so that the employees don't have to run up and down the isles to see if a piece of paper is sticking up.

I want to love this theater. The concept is great. The service is horrible. Everytime we go there we have issues with our food. Last time, I had to ask three times for my drink and it took an hour for them to serve it. They said it went to the wrong theater. It's pretty typical. We always have to ask for our food and usually one of us ends up with our meal being cold. The other issue is paying. Every time we give them a credit card at the beginning. They then come back at the end and say it did not go through. We give them the same credit card and it works the second time. The last time however, they charged me twice and two different amounts. I have called them three times and emailed them. Each time they say they will give me a refund and they do not. Finally, I've had to contact the credit card company.

I've been coming to the Alamo for about half a decade now, and this location is one of the best I've been to. It has reclining chairs!!! And as always, the food and the pre-movie screenings are top notch.

A different movie experience that I enjoyed. Reclining chairs, little tables to eat, light underneath the tables so you can see what you're eating, and large enough chairs to be comfortable. The theater is not massively big but enough to get the theater feeling. Intimate environment and feels safer than the bigger theaters. The movie made it even better! I stop going to theater because I did not think it was worth it anymore but this experience is.

I think I was more impressed with the concept than the actual reality of this place. To be fair, I am not the biggest fan of dine-in theaters. It just makes no sense to me, lol...the finger foods I like to indulge would hinder me watching and enjoying a movie, IN THE DARK. That's another story, though. Anyway, it was cool to order a "spiked" adult milkshake and sip on it throughout the film. The wings I ordered were okay. Perhaps I should have eaten something before coming because I was hungry and the food seemed to take a very long time to arrive. All in all, the seats were comfortable.

I want to love this place....I really do. I love the concept, love the name (native Texan). But I just keep getting disappointed. I don't think my expectations are too high. The popcorn used to be quite good, and I would always order seconds. Lately it's just been blah. On my most recent trip, I ordered the jalapeños fries. My food was lukewarm, greasy, and all 3 fries were limp. Each time I go I seem to be getting the staff that is still in training because they haven't yet figured out how not to interrupt key moments in the film. It pains me to say, but I just won't be back to this location.

I didn't realize it was possible to eff up popcorn, yet here we are. It tasted like dusty 'used and recycled' oil to pop the kernels instead of Orville Redenbacher's butter. Literally the worst bad oil taste with every bite. Two stars because the seats were at least comfortable and the movie was good, but I'm going to $AMC next time I visit the cinema. In fact, I'm buying $AMC stock in the morning if Alamo Draft House is their competition. To the moon.

The food is good. The service is very on it, very fast! The theater we were in was very clean. I just didnt like how we cant move the table. But the whole experience was good will def come back.

There are no long lines for popcorn and stuff. The food is actually really good. The screens are great, and the seats are comfortable. However, you may want to consider some sort of sturdy fold away table for the people who may have trouble getting in and out because of the table! The elderly, bigger people, injured or disabled persons.
