Really happy with our experience here. As a West Coast guy, I never realized that sliced rare roast beef sandwiches were even a thing. I love Arby's, so I jumped at the opportunity to try one. We found Alamo on Google as driving from Burlington, VT. The gentleman at front was fast, efficient and friendly... my favorite combination. The venue was very clean despite the ma & pa demeanor. We all enjoyed our sandwiches (two roast beef, one grilled cheese, and a meatball). Even the slice of pizza was worth the calories. Well done to the team, I wish there was a place like this in my neighborhood.

Small sub shop.. great super roast beef on onion roll, awesome fresh hand cut onion rings. Friendly staff and quick service... we will be back!

Satisfied a rare craving for a cheeseburger and fries. Appreciate the double patties. Best of all, the ingredients were *fresh*. No hangover from any preservatives.

I ordered takeout it was delivered by slice I ordered the seafood scallop plate with fries and onion rings. For the price I was not happy the scallops were very tough the fries were the same in the onion rings just fell apart

Got a Super Beef last night have to say best super beef I’ve had in a long time just like back in the day when there was actually roast beef on the sandwich and I was full afterwards and very satisfied thank you for the trip down memory lane I’ll be back again real soon

We order here at least once or twice a week. It's our go to place. Every thing on the menu is delicious!!! I've had the BEST EVER jr beef 3 way from Alamo. Beats any one around. Staff is helpful and efficient. Which is a great combo if u ask me. They work very hard and I just want them to know we appreciate and acknowledge the hard work they do! Me and my father go here often during the work day. However today I ordered delivery, got a regular roast beef sandwich 3 way sauce mayo and cheese. This sandwich had an entire jar of mayo on it, my first bite into the sandwich mayo came oozing out both sides of my mouth and down my chin. I opened the bun to find a mountain of mayonnaise. It’s usually a decent place to eat, but beware of the mayo monster working back there. Go light mayo or skip it altogether for future reference.

Had a super roast beef sandwich Onion roll nice and fresh Roast beef not the best I've had Roast beef a bit sliced too thick , not red thin like another north shore beef's I've had. 10.50 with cheese . Not a lot of roast beef for a super? Sandwich was fresh, and hot and decent and would order again .

I called this place out of the blue as our lacrosse team was traveling from 8 hours away for a tournament and we wanted to provide them with dinner after their game. Peter and Nick could not have been nicer! I was ordering 65 roast beef sandwiches and they didn't even hesitate to help me out. They delivered to the field at Tufts and brought everything over to us. I can't say enough about how wonderful the service was! Asked our boys what they thought of their 1st "North Shore Roast Beef" which we ordered 3 ways and they thought is was spectacular! I can't say enough about the professionalism and how much the boys from the south enjoyed their 1st roast beef sandwiches! Highly recommend and hopefully we will be back again next year to do it again! Thank you Alamo Roast Beef & Seafood for such great experience!

A solid place to grab a bite to eat. Service is fast and food is tasty! I have gotten pizza by the slice and a few sides here and there. Their boxes are col and the food is always hot. I am a huge fan of the mozzarella sticks. Their pizza is delicious and currently my favorite since coming to the boston area!

Alamo is consistently good. Everyone that works there is so friendly and efficient. You can tell they use high quality ingredients!! 10/10 Roast beef is sliced thin, the onion rings are amazing and the chicken kabob anything is awesome.

It was good. I didn't have roast beef though, I had a meatball sandwich. I was there late dinner in the evening. It wasn't busy in the small location, typical old style sub shop, but boy, the phone was so busy with orders for delivery. The tall owner and girl at the front taking the orders, super super nice. Very personable. More than you get in most sub shops I have to be honest. The only downside I saw? I think an interview was going on when I was there I'm not quite sure and one of the booths, and the seating is limited. So it's better for take out. And of course the crappy parking in Medford Square.

Roast beef sandwich is great. The bread was toasted in a way that reminded me of the way a well buttered lobster roll bread tastes. I do feel the beef needs a little more salt, but the horseradish dressing was great. Had a slice of pizza that was surprisingly good as well. I think it was about 2.25.

The food was good! It isn't amazing but it is good. I didn't love the clam roll. I tried a few pieces and the clams were a bit chewy. The coleslaw is not good at all. It tastes like straight Mayo. The shrimp roll was very good. I don't normally love fried food but it wasn't too greasy and the shrimp were nice, big pieces. The prices are very reasonable! The delivery came fast too. It was an estimated time of an hour, but they were outside within 35 minutes! I would definitely order from them again.

Ordered from here a week ago and the food was amazing, tried them again and ordered the same thing. Which was a steak and cheese and a side order of windings. I get half way through my food and find a hair in my sub. I immediately call the store and explained and the response was, there's nothing I can do for you call back tomorrow. I then ask for his name and he HANGS UP ON ME. Crazy right? What type of customer service is this????? I paid for my food it didn't come free the least you can do is give me real customer service. I'll be calling them tomorrow Okay so I called and spoke with the manager. The told me there's nothing he can do for me so I'll be calling the department of health since everyone is taking me for a joke. Not even I'm sorry you people are wicked.

Great food! We've ordered take out a couple of times from Alamo and everything has been fantastic! Would highly recommend the roast beef, onion roll, with cheese and sauce. The calzones (both steak bomb and chicken parm are very good) Half lb of whole clams Mozzarella sticks too! Service is friendly, and estimated times are accurate. Also, I'd recommend calling and placing your order instead of doing it through a third party!

Me: Searching for an overtaken fort to deliver roast beef to my face. Alamo: I can dig it. And dig it the Alamo did. Most of the beef is ultra rare (as requested) and pretty much melted away on every bite. The spice on the horseradish is milder than I'd expect, and they don't serve au jus on the side, but for a delivered sanguich, it's sturdy, butter-soft and a decent size for the money. Her basicB fried goodness (chicken tenders, cheese sticks, fries) arrived hot and crisp, and with the barest minimum of delivery fees ($2). Normally, I'd snag a bench for an in-house experience before penning a review, as car runs tend to destroy all but pizza; however, Alamo is a total nightmare to park near, and the final product gave a solid impression about what's going on in what looks like an otherwise run-of-the-mill beef & fry. We're not talking stuff of legend (no au jus for the beef? Really?), and at $6 a 'wich, that's not what I'm expecting. Go on witcha bad self, Alamo.

Why 5 stars? Best roast beef sandwich on the globe; the best cheese steak I have found outside of Philly, where I grew up and basically lived on them. Alamos is almost as good, including the roll, which is very rare. It is missing only Velveeta cheese and my favorite shop in Philly's secret sauce. It isin Medford Square, 3 minutes away. I have never had a less than great selection of anything on the menu. Try the pastrami!

I ordered from Almo when the family came to town. So it was a large order. Almo did not disappoint food was excellent. This finicky family loved everything. Especially the pizza. I got the cheeseburger sub it was perfect. Thank you Almo, delivery was great also from start to finish excellent service.

I was quite disappointed in the the steak and cheese I ordered from here. The steak was very dry. I also ordered the chicken nuggets and they were pretty good actually but the fries were ok and unsalted. Probably wouldn't order these items again.

Got a delivery order for a "super" sized roast beef sandwich and large onion rings. The food was very poorly packaged and the onion rings were leaking some sort of fluid (grease?). Ironically for a place with roast beef in the name of the establishment, the roast beef sandwich is extremely dry and bland not to mention a "super" was about the same size as a small sandwich elsewhere. The meat was literally grey and dry as heck when it's supposed to be pink and juicy.. and this is your "special" on the menu! Also the portion size of a "large" onion ring was about the size of a regular portion elsewhere. All in all, extremely disappointing experience and I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

Roast beef does not come with sauce, mayo and cheese. Overcooked and overpriced and not worth it.

Do not make the mistake of missing this place! It offers much from general Italian to seafood to sandwiches and I have a personal preference for their bread, something that I'm always so particular about.

Pretty good...I'm from the North Shore so I'm a little particular about my roast beef, but they do a decent job...I would stick with that side of the menu b/c the pizza is trash

Whenever I come in here the place is bumpin and the guys behind the counter are clearly in their element. I love the family vibe. Everyone works so hard and it definitely shows in their food & service! The food is always delicious & they nail it every time. I'm a no mayo person and this is the only place that actually hears the no part! My boyfriend has been coming here for years and I definitely see why. We recently moved from Somerville to Brighton. But we'll still drive over and pick up dinner when we want the best chicken sandwich or even just a wrap and some fries. The tacos are also dope. Keep crushing it guys!

Great quick lunch stop! We had burgers, BLTs and roast beef sandwiches. All were very good!

I called in the order. It was ready when I arrived. The roast beef is warm and tender and delicious. They only allow 2 customers in the shop at a time which is good since it is a small shop. The prices are reasonable. I'll be back if I'm in the area again.

Delicious roast beef sandwiches and onion rings! This was a quick and yummy stop before we saw a show at the Chevalier Theater! There must have been at least 3 or 4 delivery people continually coming in and out during our meal. We'll have to try a few other things next time!

Alamo appears to be an unassuming local sandwich and meal joint in a city otherwise packed with lots of choices, gems and hidden gems. It's far more. My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Pita. The pita is fresh and not too thick and dough dominated which is perfect because what fills it is fresh and tasty. Each piece of the grilled chicken tastes freshly grilled and usually is. The feta cheese is not overly mild but is again, not dominant but perfectly balanced. The lettuce and tomatoes are perfectly portioned. The Greek sauce is so out of this world that I always order (and pay for) an extra side container that I portion out later and apply to salads. I've asked about is it and while they will sell it on the side it is in small portions. This is because it is made fresh daily and does have a refrigerated shelf life. The Roast Beef is insanely good, sliced thin and piled on high. The fried food is also exceptional.

We got takeout tonight and we were not disappointed. My husband got the super roast beef sandwich on a seeded bun with sauce and cheese. He was very happy with the amount of meat and I had a homemade cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard and pickles. The burger was cooked perfectly and I liked the fact they put the sliced pickles on the bottom bun. We also split a large order of fries and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Delicious When I called for a pickup order they said about 15 minutes and I got there 16 minutes later they had just finished the fries and it was great to see they put the hot fries in a cardboard box instead of the styrofoam container that always makes the fries SOGGY!!!! Next time we're going to try the fried seafood!!! So glad they are doing good and we'll be back!!

I had the grilled chicken Caesar wrap and a grilled chicken kabob salad. There is something special about their grilled chicken. It's a must have. The flavor is really good. It has a smoke grill flavor to it. I would definitely drive the 20 mins ride just for their food again.

I am not feeling well so a friend got me some soup from Alamo in Medford. Lemon chicken soup. It was delicious. Had alot of chicken and rice and the broth was nice and lemony with perfect seasoning. I would definitely recommend

This is a go-to takeout place for us. Love that it is open a little later than many places around Medford. Recommend the burgers and RB sandwiches. (The junior roast beef is a great value.) Alamo does not disappoint.

Called at 7:30 tonite and they had closed the grill. Not sure what kind of operation they are running there but that's the last time I will call. If you're going to run a shop then run the shop. I can't stand lazy people who can't wait to leave work. Good luck Alamo.

I have gone to the Alamo many times in the past 20 yrs for the past few years it's been going downhill roast beef used to be excellent now it's a D- All bread no meat actually last time I just threw my sandwich away was so disappointed so many times I will Not be giving them another chance.

I was really torn between 2 and 3 stars because Alamo used to be consistently good food. I went with 2 because my most recent order was abysmally messed up. i usually give a restaurant 3 strikes before I quit going to them. Alamo has reached strike 2 and this second strike was so bad it cost them three stars. The order was pretty simple: 1 well done cheeseburger with cheddar, mushroom, onions, bbq sauce and mayonnaise. 1 medium rare double cheeseburger with American cheese, bacon, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. 1 small extra crispy onion rings 1 small broccoli bites 2 root beers They gave: 1 cold well done cheese burger with American cheese and nothing else. 1 well done double cheese burger with mushrooms, onions and SMOTHERED in mayonnaise. 1 small soggy, cold, onion rings 1 large broccoli bites that were frozen in the middle. and 2 root beers. The best part of the meal? The Mug Root Beers. The food was so bad this time around that it made my mother cry over the WASTE of money as we threw it away. I've seen and have had better from you Alamo. Strike 2.

Second time trying this place. All the food is here is delicious. Money is never a problem while ordering here. Cheap price for great food. Highly recommend. Staff here are polite as well.

Holy mother of god. The spicy curly fries are delectable. Perfectly spicy and SUPER crispy. I'm going to have dreams about them tonight. The super roast beef with any kind of cheese, whatever bbq sauce they use, and the horseradish sauce on a sesame seed bun is...how do I put this: I need a shower. A cold shower. Yes, you heard me. I don't even smoke and I need a cigarette after this whole shindig. Random tacos as side orders? YES PLEASE. SO GOOD. Try all of these things and more, at Alamo, Land of Food Orgasms.

Am I am fan because I live down the street or am I am fan because it's good? Both? Believe me if the food was horrible I would not waste my time or money going there. I love that they carry tacos like Bill and Bobs in Woburn and the place that used to be on Broadway in Everett. Dining area can get crowded quick do to the fact they only have 4 tables. Delivery is available or you can call ahead for pick up. Parking can be tough sometimes. I tend to walk down and avoid that hassle. Their dinners are HUGE. Easily two meals. Roast beef is solid. They carry Diet Mountain Dew. WOOHOO!

Alamo is probably the best overall sub shop in medford. All the subs are great and the seafood is good too. The prices are unbeatable for what you get. The staff are all awesome especially when you get to know them. They get to know you by name and what you order. Eat here! it is awesome.

Amazing onion rings, rice, steak tips, salad! Fried shrimp awesome too! We get Alamo Roast Beef and Seafood on Fridays now. My fiance loves the fried shrimp and I love the onion rings, rice, salad and parmesan peppercorn dressing. Yes, I even love delivery salad with their amazing dressing. It does come in syrofoam (the steak tips, rice, and onion rings) but they wrap the steak tips in tin foil as to not turn the container into a wet pile of mush. Their delivery is fast and the food is hot, I am always surprised that the food stays hot and the salad stays cold (it comes in a small square tin foil like tray). Can't say enough good things about Alamo. Their steak tips are pretty good, not as good as other places but always cooked the way I want (well done, I know..I like them well done) maybe I'll try to get them medium well tonight but I don't want to mess with a good thing, they come out nicely charred, not too much and not all flimsy. What else to say? Give the Alamo a call!

Ordered on ubereats, worst fries I've ever had anywhere, undercooked and didn't hav any salt on them, I had to drown them in salt just to make them edible, only cuz i was mad hungry, but i had to go back on uber eats after and order five guys to cleanse my palate from this experience nd the buffalo tenders tasted like they were frozen and then microwaved, not very much chicken per tender either
