Dry large space with an amazing view of the mountain range. Poor TSA and poor formation of security. If you get “Clear” pass-you jump the line. I’m not sure that is ethical.

It was my first time with Alaska Airlines. The service was very, very friendly service on board and the food was excellent. The seats very spacious and comfortable (as you would expect in first class for a domestic flight) - but way better than compared to inner-European flights.

We really enjoy Alaska Airlines. Before the rules got really strict they used to give us over 6 foot tall people the emergency aisle seats if they were able to at no extra charge. They were one of the last airline to do this. Their rewards program is really easy to use and quite flexible. The planes don’t have all the bells and whistles, but they’re usually on time and you can get your bags within 20 minutes of landing almost every single time. They also have lots of connections to international destinations. T Mobile customers get free wifi.

Flew to Anchorage, AK from Omaha, NE with Alaska air, for my first time ever flying I felt that it went good I even had a stewardess come up to me and gave me my first pair of wings, the staff on the planes were great as for the staff at the Seattle airport I can't say the same, we were supposed to have a connecting flight from Seattle to San Francisco and I was at the correct gate and the lady at the boarding spot kept saying I was on the wrong one despite me showing her my boarding pass so I then found another employee who basically tells me that I'm wrong as well so I then go back to sit and wait we'll 30 min goes by and there's nothing so I go back up to customer service to ask what's going on and come to find out I was correct and that was my connecting flight that I had ended up missing due to those 2 employees so my luggage was on its way to San Francisco without me, they were able to get me a direct flight from Seattle to Anchorage instead so that actually helped in the travel time but because of that we got into Anchorage at a different time than our luggage so ended up having to go back to the air port later to get it once the original got in and it's good thing we just went when we knew our flight was to land because customer service told us to just wait for them to call us when they had it well they never contacted us till a day and a half later. But overall the pilots and airplane staff were amazing just not so great inside the airport itself.

Google
Love flying Alaska! Best airline out of Seattle for sure. They manage the chaos of long lines pretty well, and if you need something really quick and uncomplicated, you can sometimes ask a wandering agent and skip the like.

Google
Freezing cold and no blanket issued on the new planes, I was told because they control the temperature setting. Unacceptable fyi, I need to be comfortable. 75° degrees isn't asking too much, but 68° is freeze, and my neighbor would agree. Cmon Alaska, it doesn't have to be freezing on these 3.5-hour flights.

I visit Seattle for work every 2 or 3 times a year and I have begun to love Alaska Airlines. I love the assigned seating and the boarding process and the planes seem to be newer and less issues than other airlines. I appreciate Alaska Airlines!

Google
I have been flying with this Airlines since 2010. I have flown all others. You name it I have been on it. Alaska, is the best as far as I am concerned. I live in the Seattle area, so it makes sense to fly them, however their service and friendliness is above all the others. They actually treat you like a human. Not just another passenger.

Yelp
Top-two Airlines; Easy experience out of SeaTac I've recently adopted Alaska and Delta as my top airlines after so many cancellations on competitors. Have really enjoyed the difference-- seats are more comfortable, the order-ahead food is quite tasty, and the staff is super friendly. Even in the two times when there have been travel advisories (weather, a plane switch), they've communicated well and take great care of me thus far. My three lessons and takeaways from the last year: Upgrading to Premium seat has definitely been worth it with the early boarding and comfort of the seat and leg space. The card and rewards program for status are a good deal so far. Impressed with the friendly crews + good food. With SeaTac as my main airport, Alaska has a good presence, clean and comfortable gates, and nice lounges if needed.

Yelp
My brother and I flew to Maui first class the morning of February 4, 2025. My breakfast could not have been any worse, I would hope when paying the extra, which is not cheap, that the main course would be edible. I selected the "Frittata" which our flight attendant said was like a quiche without the crust. It was so awful it was not edible, texture wise and taste (none) wise. I may as well have been eating a dense sponge or cardboard. Very disappointed This review is for the food only. The crew were wonderful and very attentive. Flight was pleasant and on time.

Yelp
There customer service is terrible, the people were rude and basically said your problem too bad, don't recommend this company, talked too three or four people and they told us different things, then just said no you can't do anything, all we asked is to move the return fight back a few days because our sons military orders changed and needed to stay a little longer to help with a new born and two other kid under 5. It would not cost them anything to do so flight was weeks away but would not help. I DO NOT RECOMEND ALASKA AIRLINE AT ALL

Yelp
I need to update my review since Alaska has gone downhill significantly. I've flown 260K miles with Alaska and the experience used to be much better. Every time I needed help and called the Gold MVP line, it was great. 2 days ago, I got someone who wasn't very pleasant. Sounded like she didn't want to work or help. Not the usual Alaska CS experience. Today, I arrive at the airport and had to check in a bag and I'm GOLD but have to wait in line for 30 minutes before I can drop off a bag. It's tragic because the line to self tag a bag is even longer than 30 minutes. It's atrocious what's going on right now with Alaska. I see American and other airlines and they have order and no chaos. There's nothing but chaos here today.

Yelp
This airline is so utterly incompetent and has such poor customer service I thought that I had accidentally booked a Spirit flight. I fly 40-60 times a year for work and pleasure, primarily with United. I booked a flight home from Thanksgiving on Alaska (against my better judgement given past bad experiences) because it worked so perfectly in my schedule. Joke is on me. I had forgotten how wide the gap in service is between United / Delta and all of these other amateurs. The first leg of my flight was delayed for unknown reasons, forcing me to run to the next flight, which was also delayed. After boarding we sat on the tarmac for nearly three hours as they struggled to prepare the plane. Once prepared, they let us know that the crew had over-stayed their duty limit and needed to be replaced. We waited longer. No replacement crew could be found. We waited. We couldn't return to the gate because the power went out (granted this is the fault o FB the equally-shitty Seattle airport). We waited. We finally deplaned to then wait for over an hour in a rebooking line. They attempted to automatically rebook me on a flight that would have caused me to miss work, with no option to change it on my own. When I final got to the counter, I was initially told that I would pay the fair difference which was nothing short of insulting. The surly attendant also tried to deny me meal vouchers. When I returned to the airport the next day, I was told by TSA that my new boarding pass was invalid / my flight didn't exist / I didn't exist and had to go back through customer service. I fly often enough to know that this kind of thing happens. The experience is especially frustrating when compared to the last time this happened on United (only a couple months ago). They cancelled a late-night flight and IMMEDIATELY links were automatically sent to my phone with hotel and meal vouchers as well as rebooking options. Obviously still a tough situation, but I was in bed in a nearby hotel within 45 mins. Alaska should be ashamed of itself and its staff at every level. If I am ever on none of their planes after this trip home it will be because that plane has crashed into my house

Yelp
I flew on Alaska Airlines twice & I survived the Boeing 737 Max-9 experience. TBH yes I was a bit nervous, inlight of the very serious issues currently affecting Boeing aircraft! Despite a rather rude gate agent at SeaTac, who chastised us for having an extra bag, which was actually a very small sling bag, the AA experience was still good. Heading to NYC from Seattle on a plane built for 200 with only about 80 passengers meant plenty of room to stretch out on empty seats = yahoooooo! The seats only go back about 3", approx length of an index finger, so nothing magically comfortable. This is standard on most flights but I always hope & wish to be surprised & have the seat go back 7 inches like they did wayyyyyyyyy back in the day. Hee. A bit of turbulence, pleasant flight crew, cool sounding captain over the microphone & tasty Biscoff cookies. Does anyone pay for the onboard meals these days cause they sure look dull & are dayum expensive. Remember when inflight meals were free & they were actually quite good at times!? If you join Alaska's mileage plan, you can get access to movies & more etcetera. I got Spotify on my cell & actually pulled out 2 old iPods I hadn't used in years, that were buried away in the dungeon. I charged them up & my old Napster (don't tell anyone) mp3 collection played smoothly through my earbuds, helping make both flights to & from JFK easy like Sunday morning. Well except for the wee bit of turbulence of course but that goes with every flight I've ever been on. The Max-9 seems to handle flying like the Airbus aircraft. Now if only Boeing could just get its sheeeeiii together, everything would be awesome again. I do miss flying on the 747s. Alaska Airlines service levels in both SeaTac & JFK, I found to be quite pleasant. Very helpful & informative staff. Till the next time I fly AA, bon voyage.

Yelp
I really like Alaska Airlines. They have a partnership with American Airlines so you can use the Admirals Club when flying. The gate agents are friendly. The gate area could use more power outlets. The planes were extremely clean. I like this airline.

Gail U.

Yelp
When we arrived at D gates we needed to get to N gates for our next and last Alaska flight home. Walk all the way forward to Starbucks, take a left and go down one level. Here you can catch the N gates. Seattle had way more shops that are open which makes sense cuz of time of day. Found a really cute shop called Fireworks. So many items in each section and crevice of the store. Even found a cockroach on wheels that Bud can roll across a table and freak his mom out. Found an origami kit for little sweetie who now is almost tall as me.

Grace K.

Yelp
Staff on board was pleasant, attentive, and quick with the drink service. I always appreciate when they're prompt with things such as drinks on a shorter flight. The real reason that prompted my review however is, their new coffee. Alaska has switched to stumptown coffee on board and what a world of a difference it makes

Helen B.

Yelp
Three Hours and 17 minutes is the wait time on their customer service line. Earlier today, it was two hours. Crappy service, door plugs flying off the sides of their planes .. all in all pure trash company. Shame on this loser company.

Yelp
Pleasant Experience with Alaska Airlines!! Everything went well during my most recent travels. I had a layover and connecting flights. I installed the Alaska Airlines App, so I appreciated being able to look at my trip details, check-in within 24 hrs, and receive any updates in real time when necessary. The employees at customer service were respectful and helpful. All the flight attendants I encountered were nice. My flights arrived and departed on time as well. I enjoyed the in-flight access to entertainment and option to change/upgrade available seats. I also admire how Alaska Airlines are proactively providing environmentally friendly and recyclable items to their patrons. Being prepared by researching what's what and what's not, and giving myself enough time for any possible hiccups helped to put my mind at ease, and everything went great!

Yelp
A smooth flight from Sea-Tac back home to SJC. The service was nice and friendly. First-time experience with an all male flight crew. They were great! Very friendly and upbeat.

Mike J.

Yelp
First time on Alaska Airlines, and I can see myself flying them once again. The economy seats has more room than other airlines. Not all airlines giving soda, water and snacks. This one does. The first class big seats are nice but not the space you would expect for first class.

Ron H.

Yelp
We are in flight 1306 to LA and I will never ever understand why a flight attendant would ask my wife to remove her backpack from the overhead bin to accommodate others roll on bags. We checked our luggage so we could have leg room yet someone else is given priority? Not very good customer to give priority to someone who did not check there bag over a customer who had paid to check there bag to provide themselves with added leg room. Kinda a bit pissed off great way to start a day thanks for not taking care of my wife today. Make someone else check their darn bag next time, better yet we will stop paying to check out bags like everyone else. Thank you for educating us.

Yelp
Yo, lemme break it down real quick for y'all about Alaska Airlines on International Boulevard. This joint be servin' up some decent vibes, no cap. The check-in game? Tight. Folks at the counter know what's up, always ready to hook you up if you got beef with your reservation. The terminal? Clean as a whistle, straight up like they scrubbin' it with elbow grease every hour. Boardin' be movin' smooth most times, but don't get it twisted--they ain't perfect. Seats be comfy, and legroom? Mad respect, you ain't sittin' there feelin' like a pretzel. The flight attendants be cool, droppin' snacks and drinks like it's a block party in the sky. And let's not forget their app, yo--it's like havin' Netflix on deck while you up in the clouds. Wi-Fi? A'ight, it gets the job done, but they could spice it up a lil'. Now here's the tea, though: when it comes to domestic flights, the communication game need some serious work. Sometimes you sittin' there like, "Yo, what's good? Where my updates at?" They gotta step up and hit us with the info like it's a hot mixtape drop. Still, Alaska Airlines be holdin' it down for the most part. If you lookin' for a chill ride and a solid vibe, they got you. Just hope they brush up on that domestic convo game, ya feel me? Would recommend. Keep it fly, Alaska. Peace out.

Maria T.

Yelp
Last 10/17 I had the pleasure of meeting the best crew on AS 572 from Raleigh to Seattle. I didn't get any of the flight attendants names but they were one of most friendly and cheerful crew on a domestic flight. The service was great and they took time to chat with several passengers. It was a 7pm flight, I was tired and wanted to get home and I thought the crew probably felt the same. Boy was I wrong! When I hear of stories of poor customer service I tend to keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed. This crew proved me wrong. This is why I will only fly Alaska Airlines!! Thank you for great customer service!

Eleana S.

Yelp
Alaska Airlines is one of my favorite airlines in the USA. It is my first time to post here about the airline. Alaska Airlines, headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is known for its excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Happy to know they offer a wide range of domestic and international flights, primarily focusing on routes along the West Coast that is why I use. The airline provides a comfortable flying experience with amenities such as Wi-Fi, in-flight entertainment on select flights, and complimentary snacks. Though sometimes they don't have movies or games depending on the flight and mostly I sit as an economy. Alaska Airlines is also recognized for its Mileage Plan loyalty program and environmental sustainability initiatives. It's helpful for next redeeming and extra experience.

Yelp
We had a very fun flight. Two brothers went to fisticuffs in the back of the plane, which prompted a few of us to run back there to help out, or join in. Buy the time we got there, they'd had enough and landed in their seats. Captain Steve walked back and told them 'What's for!' Then threatened to land the plane and have them arrested on federal charges. They bought it and behaved. They were cut-off from buying any hootch (but we slipped them a few, just to see if they'd hook up again). They did not. A pretty eventless flight after that. The crew were great and the flight was a smooth one. 07/23

Yelp
I have a 500 hundred dollar credit. Tried to use it on a new reservation. Tried to do it myself on line for at least an hour. Gave up called reservations. In Idaho answered told me to keep trying. Even though I had my credit confirmation number. Told me I had to go back online and quote don't you know how to cut and paste. Milt colt would fire this employee immediately for terrible customer service. I was shocked to see our reviews so sad to see a great company go so low milty bill and Denise

Yelp
As a Seattle native, Alaska Airlines is your go-to airline. It's not about affordable flights, but it's about quality, service, familiarity to the experienced air traveler, and outright brand loyalty. Alaska is my airline. As of 2024, Alaska is part of the One World Network sharing not just lounges but the overall experience of travel internationally. That said, once you buy your ticket, then what? Well, you go to one of the many gates at SeaTac airport where Alaska calls home. In this case, it is the 'N' Concourse. Along with the spectacular views surrounding the city of SeaTac, the N Concourse definitely makes the domestic traveler feel like you are on vacation. And does it's best to make you comfortable. There is plenty of diversity in culinary selections from pub food, fast food, and the complex. On the Concourse, after getting off the escalator, you are greeted by retail outlets. To your left is the Alaska Lounge (on the second floor) included are name brand selections such as Beechers, Wendy's, and PF Chang's (located on the 2nd floor). Want a taco? It's there. Want a Vietnamese Bahn Mi? It's there. Burger? You have options. As for seating, there's enough for you to contemplate your meal, gather your traveling party, or spend time on your laptop. Don't forget the convenience store and retail outlets for your last-minute souvenir buys. Just remember one thing before you take in the amenities of the concourse... you have a flight to catch. Stay abreast of gate and flight changes they happen frequently. See you on Alaska at the N-Gates!!!

Yelp
My round-trip flight on Alaska Air to Seattle and back to SNA was fine. The 737 B was really old and dated. They need to update these airplanes!! The flight attendants were very nice and accommodating. On the way home yesterday there was a screaming baby. This baby cried the entire 2 1/2 hours. It made the flight seem sooooo much longer. Thank God we landed smoothly and we got off the plane safely.

Aileen C.

Yelp
I fly with Alaska Airlines often. I've had nothing but excellent service thus far. The check in process is pretty quick and smooth. If I needed to fall in line at the Assistance station, I've waited longer in the lines compared to the actual service time. I continue to use them for most of my travel needs.

Ron A.

Yelp
We've been flying Alaska for almost 30 years. Great company. I never compare rates with their competitors, I automatically book with Alaska. We've flown first class but usually don't; we're not rich. It didn't sit well with me today (#2811 SEATAC to Santa Barbara) when the guy sitting next to me was given a piece of chocolate with his drink. When I asked for one I was told "This is only for Gold members." The flight attendant came across as petty when it would have cost less than $.50 to appease me - a steady long term customer. If you want to give perks to only certain customers, don't do it in front of others - doesn't look good.

Adam S.

Yelp
FYI if I could do negative dates I would This will be the last Alaska Airlines flight I make in my life. Today's flight has been changed twice since I bought tickets and now delayed another hour turning what should have been a 1.5 hr lay over into 7 hrs. of layover. In the last 4 trips I have used Alaska Airlines, they have all either been delayed or rescheduled. Their amenities compared to Delta is like comparing, Applebees to a real steak house. Of course Alaska has reached out with their most sincere apologies and offered a $20 future travel voucher. FML Alaska stick it up your a$$

Steve S.

Yelp
To add to my horrible previous rating I just got off a flight almost 45 minutes ago and was taken to the terminal by bus. If that wasn't bad enough, it's now been 45 minutes and there's no luggage. This place is a freaking nightmare.

Yelp
On January 22, 2025, I flew back to Seattle from San Francisco. I have done this at least a half a dozen times in the recent past. The plane was taxing on the runway for about forty five minutes. Having bladder issues, I needed badly to go to the bathroom. So I stood up but before I could walk more than two steps, a steward yelled at me loudly and angrily: "GET BACK TO YOUR SEAT." He was acting like a prisoner warden. I meekly sat back down. In all my life I have never been treated so badly, except once about 6 years ago. I fly frequently, about 3-4 times a year, on mostly international but some domestic flights. Passengers all the time move within the cabin when the seat belt sign is on on when there is substantial head wind. I have yet to hear someone scolded in the disrespectful tone of voice I was subjected to. The plane was moving very slowly when I got up out of my seat. Eventually it came to a complete halt, for at least 20 minutes about when the pilot explained the situation and that it would be at least that amount of time before the plane could take off. ***** The following day I called Alaska Airlines to make a complaint. I was put on hold for over an hour before I could talk to an agent.. When I finally got someone on the phone (I had to spend 15 minutes searching the website for the number), he agreed that the steward had acted inappropriately. He offered mileage or a rebate on a next flight. Details would be in a forthcoming email. I never got it. ***** I will not fly with Alaska again. There are other airlines that fly from Seattle to San Francisco. Before this incident, I had begun to feel some loyalty to Alaska. Based on the above two inter-related experiences, this is no longer the case!

Stewart C.

Yelp
I've been lucky enough to fly an uncountable number of times--ALL over and domestically, and ultimately no airline relates to the concrete reliability of Alaska Airlines. THE PEOPLE!!!! Everyone I've met who works for this airline is amazing!! And with how much I fly with them, I should have had some kind not so great experience (***not to jinx myself!!!) But that has yet to happen. Especially on cross country flights, they do an amazing job at ALWAYS overestimating flight time expectations!! Can't say enough good things about this company!

Philip H.

Yelp
I am being denied access to the airline lounge. The rule for access to the lounge for first class passengers is that he/she only has access the day on which he/she flies a leg of at least 2,000 miles. Yesterday I flew from Raleigh, NC to Seattle, WA - a distance of more than 2,000 miles. However, since it is not the same calendar day, I am now being denied access to the lounge even though I am still continuing on the same booking with the same airline (it just happens to be after midnight). Really?!?

Areej A.

Yelp
I love Alaska airline in the west coast routes. Once you fly east coast it's completely different experience. The west coast are super sweet and nice crew. The east coast's are rough but professional. I flow with them to Chicago and I wouldn't do it again. I did fly to Florida and the crew were nice as well. But in general I love Alaska airline with all of their little issues :-)

Derek W.

Yelp
I've generally been pretty pleased flying with Alaska Airlines, but something did happen on my last trip that caused me to not award the 5th star for this Alaska Airlines. So when it comes to airline business pages on Yelp for each airport, I don't know if they are for the flight into that airport or for the flight out of that airport. To be clear, my rating is for the flight that departed Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac). After spending just over a week in the Seattle area, I was heading back home to SoCal by way of Alaska from SeaTac Airport. No, I didn't go to Alaska as that would have been way out of the way lol. I meant Alaska Airlines, which I've flown numerous times to and from Seattle both for personal and business travel. After dropping my rental car off at the SeaTac Rental Car Facility, I took the shuttle back to the airport, and I went inside to check in. Since I didn't have any checked baggage, I simply hopped on a kiosk to check in, which was especially easy considering I remembered the six character confirmation code. After printing out my boarding pass, I was on my way to security. I don't believe all Alaska Airlines flights depart and arrive at the same terminal because when I arrived in SeaTac, I didn't have to take the SEA Underground. However, after going through a TSA Security Checkpoint at the main terminal upon departure, I did have to take the SEA Underground. If you're not familiar with the SEA Underground, it's pretty much a train/shuttle that takes you from one secure area to another. For my flight, I had to go to the N Concourse, but there is also an S Concourse, so if you need to take this Underground transportation, ensure that you are taking the correct half of the train/shuttle. There is sufficient signage that directs you to the Underground, but it's quite a walk that necessitates at least 2 escalators, and then additional time to wait for the next ride. Even though I arrived at the airport 2 hours before my flight, I didn't arrive at my gate until an hour and 15 minutes before my flight. And the line for security wasn't that long, though it did take me a while to find a checkpoint. Now you see why you should arrive at the airport this early? Otherwise, I wouldn't have had nearly as much time to enjoy my last meals up in the Pacific Northwest. Anyways, boarding will commence about 30 to 40 minutes before the scheduled takeoff time, and listen carefully to the announcements to find out when your boarding group is. I'm fortunate that I checked on the Alaska Airlines app the night before my flight because at first, I was assigned to Row 32, literally dead last in the airplane right next to the lavatory, so I would have been in the last boarding group. When I saw the seating chart, there were a few available seats, one muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch closer to the front of the passenger cabin, so I took that seat without any hesitation! The flight I was on was fully booked, and they were looking for about a dozen volunteer passengers to check their bags. I didn't bother doing that, so I can't comment further about what that would have entailed. However, it did give me some anxiety that maybe I wouldn't be able to fit my carry-on in an overhead stowage bin. Had I not changed seats the previous night, I probably would have run into that problem, but since I did change seats, I luckily didn't. Just like my flight from SoCal to Seattle, the flight attendants wheel carts to provide complimentary snacks and drinks to passengers about halfway through the flight. The snacks were the same as the first flight: Stellar Mini Braids, which are pretty much pretzels. Just okay, but no Biscoff cookies?! I missed those :( For the complimentary drink, I went with a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. Not only did they gave me a 7.5 oz can of the soft drink, but they also gave me a cup with some ice cubes inside. Cool! Pun not intended lol. I was sitting next to a nice mother & son on the flight, but the son almost fell asleep on my shoulder! That's not why I'm taking off a star, since that's not on Alaska, obviously. However, the hard landing at John Wayne Airport literally woke everyone up, including myself. Everyone started commenting about how hard that landing was. I even saw the passenger directly across from me give a thumbs down on the touchdown. Did the pilots not see the tarmac at night? Did they misjudge the height of the landing gear? I won't speculate at this point, but until my next flight, that will be my most recent memory of being on a plane lol. Other than the hard landing that almost made my heart jump out of my chest, it was a smooth flight from SeaTac to SoCal, and I do recommend flying with Alaska Airlines if you plan to fly to/from one of their destinations. The agents and flight attendants will do whatever they can to help you enjoy your flight. The pilots? Umm...no further comments :)

Yelp
Flight was delayed from 5pm to 7pm, I have my boarding pass and ready to board. But they held me up saying that they "cannot find my name" online. I was already given a boarding pass and this is my flight. They forced me to buy another ticket and I have to make this flight because my daughter has been waiting for me. Attendant was very rude as well and was telling me to not buy from Expedia. I have been buying from Expedia for YEARS!! Never flying Alaska again. BEWARE!!!

Andrew S.

Yelp
Another crappy flight from LAX to Seattle on Alaska Airlines. Things started to go bad when the flight attendant gave me red wine instead of a Fat Tire amber. Food was overcooked, and the server didn't ask if we wanted anything else. Entertainment was subpar using their movie features, and for the 3rd time in a row, the gate was occupied, causing us to sit on the tarmac. I believe I'm done flying Alaska into Seattle.

I've flown on Alaska a few times and I've never had problems until now. IF YOU DONT HAVE SPACE ON A PLANE FOR CARRYON BAGS PUT THAT DETAIL IN THE BOOKING DETAILS. On both legs of my flight they asked for "volunteers" to check carryon bags because of the small plane. It was super annoying because I only brought a carryon so I wouldn't need to check a bag.

Yelp
Always great service on Alaska Airlines. Friendly customer service. Flight Attendants were helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I had a terrible experience with the Alaska's gate personnel last year and complained to the President of the airline. I have it one last shot over Christmas and this time it was the onboard flight attendant in first class. This is a no frills first class and the attendant seemed indifferent with just about everything. I won't fly them again unless there are no options. There is a lot wrong with this company.

Yelp
0 's if I could. Captain was late to plane. Then had mechanical issues with plane that could've been found earlier if captain ran prechecks on time. Which made me and my wife late by 3 minutes to our next flight by 3min. Alaska decided to reschedule our next flight for 13 hours later without speaking to use. There were other flights that were available for earlier departures, not sure why such a departure time 13 hours later. Since Alaska decided to schedule the flight after they fucked up with a lazy Captain and an automated rescheduling system without talking to the customer I'm losing 2 days of an 8 day 25th wedding anniversary. Sucks to pay for a hotel for 2 nights and not getting to sleep in the bed. Customer service was horrible at the airport. She basically you take what was scheduled or find something for the next day.

Yelp
I don't know why we all just come here to complain these days. I bought a saver fare. I had a family emergency. I tried to stand by on an earlier flight that my other family member got on due to their status. I have no status and could not get on the flight. The family member that flew on the earlier flight said there were plenty of seats on the flight. Why do front gate people not pivot based on situations. The flight had plenty of seats yet due to Alaska's saver fare policy. I would not go stand by and fly in earlier for a family emergency. I can't express how disappointed I still am. If you buy a saver fare and need to stand by for an earlier flight. Do not bother

Yelp
Since we live in Alaska, we always fly Alaska airlines. Never a complaint and my favorite airline by far.

Yelp
My wife and I have always had nothing but great experiences when it comes to travel with Alaska Airlines. On time, courteous, smiles and of course my wife always mentions the ice cream sunday. Our trip on Friday the 13th started off in an unexpected way when checking our luggage. Our driver helped us bring our luggage in, I believe it was too early for curbside maybe. We posted up in the first class line. One person ahead of us. All was good. The gentleman in front went to the counter. Seemed like it was taking a bit long to check him in. We noticed there were two first class attendants but only one, Felicia, was checking passengers in. We also noticed, because we were literally 6 ft away, that Felicia seemed to be ranting about another customer to the guest in front of her. We ignored. None of our business. The man got his ticket and proceeded to the security. I walked over with my 3 bags and our carryons. Felicia immediately looks at me and says and I quote, "I will call you up when I'm ready. Please return to were you we're". Well that was a bit of a shocker. Very rude statement. To a customer. I would have gladly stood there patiently and waited until she was ready. This wasn't offered. just the rude comment. Made me feel like I was a third class citizen. And she said it loud. Embarrassing. So I returned when summoned. Embarrassing. I gave her my id and place my first bag on the scale. She immediately said how many bags today. I said 3, 1 for me and my wife has 2. Simple enough. I guess not for Felicia. She proceeded to act confused because when I checked in I put 2 under my ticket and 1 under my wife's. She insisted to prove that i was wrong. I said go ahead and change it or leave it the same. I don't care. She gave me a dirty stare. That's when things went south. I said you are being rude. She responded with and I quote, " no you're being rude". I said really. I said you should change this line from first class elite to coach. Because this is no first class treatment. Then she proceeded to ask her supervisor if she can deny boarding to me because I'm being rude. I have received below average service on airlines before. It's no secret that some struggle more than others on customer service. But this woman Felicia. She takes the cake. She was confrontational from the minute I approached the desk. Inconsiderate, rude and quite honestly, vindictive. This type of customer handling has no place in the service world. I was always taught the customer is always right. And being considerate and helpful is your job. Based on this woman's performance. Alaska should transfer her to a non customer facing job. Baggage handler, janitor. Etc. Felicia is unfortunately for Alaska airlines possibly the first interaction your premium cabin customers will have. Is this how you want them to feel? Is this the Alaska experience you strive for? Maybe Alaska airlines doesn't care. I hope that's not the case. There are lotta of options when you fly now days. I'm confident that a team member like Felicia and her poor customer service will send your passengers looking for other options.

Yelp
Not a good Airline for points at least compared to United's. Consistently only offers really long layovers and erratic flight routes when using the lowest points. Example: a flight to Minneapolis costed me 37k points (prob could have done it for 30k on United), that included a stop at Seattle and a 7 hour layover in Dallas. There was a direct flight from Seattle to Minneapolis at the same time as the Dallas, but I was informed it would cost me another 40+k points. I looked up the flight and it still had 10 or so seats in the cheap section open 24 hours before the flight but they still wanted all the points. I asked about trying to switch the flights when I was in Seattle but was informed that because I used points I couldn't do standby for that flight.. basically felt like if you use points your not a valuable customer. United has always helped me find a better way. The flights themselves and staff are nice on Alaska. So, Airline - good, Points system - bad

Yelp
I used to love Alaska Airlines for the past 10 years, over the past year, things have gone downhill quite a bit. More delays and cancellations than ever before. Luckily the customer service is helpful. However wait times are very long since the Boeing door blew out of the plane - I've had wait times from 15 min - 8 hours depending on the day. And, in some cases, even text support is not available because they don't have the staff to help their customers. It just shows they have more issues than they can handle. I really hope Alaska Air improves, but this review is based on recent experience. I have been seriously considering moving all my miles, status, etc to Delta based on their current promotions.

Yelp
Alaska Airlines seems to get worse every single time I fly. I will say the flight attendants are nice and that has never been the issue. Gate staff are a bit more abrupt but that's not the reason for this review. That I can handle just fine especially given that half the time they're just inundated with folks not following their directions. The reason for this review is because every single one of my Alaska flights in the last two years (at least four round trips) has been delayed (many 2-3 hours which significantly affected my schedule). I haven't flown many other airlines for comparison but my Delta flights haven't had this issue. Rarely is it weather- most of the time it's needing aircraft that aren't there yet because they plan poorly and are running shoestring turn around times that are physically impossible for the flight crew to manage. I write this while waiting for yet another delayed flight though this appears to be due to weather elsewhere.

Yelp
I have been flying a lot and heard some horror stories. But not from this airline. The staff were pleasant and the boarding was smooth and convenient. I also found their baggage policy to work just fine. They did a whole spiel about their points and credit card program, but it wasn't a hard sell. I would definitely fly Alaska if I can in the future.

Yelp
Alaska Air no longer reigns as number 1 for me after flying it exclusively. we missed our flight because employees did not help us even though we told them of our urgency. there were enough of them but they chose to talk among themselves rather than move the line efficiently. it was the height of poor customer service. Tried to phone as well and that service has been demoted to a D Rating. It's sad. It is the end of an era and I will give up my Alaska Visa card as well. Choose another airline! I know I will.

Yelp
FANTASTIC customer care and service! Our flight was slightly delayed (that's the imperfection of life), but the necessary information was provided -- the app is indispensable! Friendly and delightful flight crew and pilots. Alaska is everyone's fave!

Yelp
We usually fly SWA or American, but this morning we flew Alaska Airlines from Baltimore to Seattle. It was a really nice flight. Their level of service is much higher than those other two. The plane left on time, arrived on time, the crew was great, seats were comfortable with chargers in each seat, snacks were better, etc. We had assigned seats and the boarding process was speedy. It reminded me of the way flying used to be. It made a great start for our vacation.

Yelp
Planned Glacier trip to Anchorage, got text my 6am flight was cancelled 9 hrs before boarding. I thought it was a phishing scam. Used the text customer service & Called 1800 number wait time was 3hrs. I arrived at airport and tried to get next available flight. All sold out. Airport ticketing desk was able to reroute to another airport, but I'd have to get my own transportation there. Called for Uber. Additional charges for Alaska Airlines trip. Never again.

Yelp
Paid for extra legroom but that turned into "preferred boarding" which means you're the second to the last group to board and you sit further forward. Seat map when buying the seats showed us two rows behind the bulkhead but we were seven and in very cramped seats with some sort of box on the floor taking up foot space. When I contacted them for help they said nothing they can do but I can send an email. I'm sure that will work. Baggage door seal problems plus IT problems delayed the flight over two hours. Had to de-plane and were told to stay at the gate so we couldn't get food. It was noon at that point. Once we were wheels up, they didn't offer complimentary lunches. Alaska used to be one of the best. $112 plus tax to sit a few rows further forward in a cramped seat has removed them from my fare searches moving forward.

Yelp
The service and food were great. I have flown first class before and also great experience. This time it was very uncomfortable. The seats weren't the same for some reason. They hurt. Tilting took an Ironman. Same with the person next to me.
