The 18 Best Restaurants In Berlin 2024

"Step into this vegan café/bar and you’ll immediately notice the eclectic and colorful decorations on the walls and a hodgepodge of vintage photographs. But you’re here for plant-based takes on classic Spanish tapas like croquetas and tortilla, and also to prove to any doubting friends just how good vegan food can be. Make a reservation if you’re coming for dinner since there’s not much space inside, and stick around after your meal for a rowdy bar scene. " - cindy brzostowski, olivia ladanyi

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Berlin. I love bringing different friends here, and it always feels like a new discovery since the menu keeps evolving. Every visit is a treat, and I’ll keep adding more photos over time! Some of my all-time favourites: roasted aubergine on a bed of tahini, the watermelon feta salad with pickled onions, Romana lettuce with green pesto, banderillas, croquettes (they keep surprising with new ones 😍), foie gras… and the list goes on. Thank you for consistently spectacular food!

Omg I couldn't stop making happy noises due to how delicious the food was. Both my dishes were 10/10, couldn't be better! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice place with extraordinary vegan food that you cannot find elsewhere. As a vegan I love the bar. The vibes there are amazing. The food and the drinks are very good. The portions feel like it could be bigger. Though, most of what I tried tasted very good.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. I’m not vegan, but I absolutely love the food they serve here — the flavors are spot on, creative and satisfying. The atmosphere is super queer-friendly and there’s almost always a great music vibe. The staff is lovely and welcoming. One thing that could be improved is the ventilation — we usually leave smelling like fried food. But honestly, it’s totally worth it. They’ve recently added new dishes — the vegan foie and the eggplant are to die for. Make sure to book in advance, the place is always packed!

I’m not vegan but I love every dish I tried here! The highlights for me were potatas bravas, croquette, gazpacho and of course, churros. The service was lovely but very slow so you have to be patient or go early when they just open. I think it’s definitely worth a visit!

There were four of us and unfortunately we didn't have a reservation, but came very spontaneously. There was no free space inside, and unfortunately there is a maximum of three people per table outside. After a table for three became free outside and I waited for my friends outside the restaurant, I was offered a fourth chair so that we could still get a seat. All the staff were super friendly super nice the food was excellent we ordered far too much. We ordered almost the entire menu but were not disappointed at all. Every dish tasted really great. I am glad that I was finally able to visit the Alaska and will definitely be back.

Some of the best food I've ever had, and all vegan! Amazing flavours and variety, friendly and efficient service, and such a lovely interesting place to have a meal. I highly recommend this place. I'll be back next time I'm in Berlin, without a doubt.

Yelp
OMG!!! FANTASTIC FOOD! We got the the croquettes, meatballs, Spanish omelette, patatas bravas and a chorizo sandwich- all vegan of course. Unbelievably yum!!! My non vegan friend was even said this was the best best Spanish food she had (even compared to the food in Spain). The staff are so friendly and fun to chat with! A definite must try!

Yelp
This is my favorite vegan restaurant in Berlin! Living in the NYC area, which is full of vegan options, I have yet to find authentic vegan Spanish tapas anywhere! I went here twice while in Berlin because I was craving the Tortilla de Papas (an old favorite before I became vegan) and Patatas Bravas. The homemade vegan cheese platter is a must as well. The staff is very friendly and the food filling and affordable. GO HERE!!!

Yelp
This is place is amazing. Definitely my favourite place that I tried in Berlin. I went to Spain and this was definitely the only vegan tapas place I've ever seen. The server was lovely and the atmosphere is super cool and trendy. I had the tortillas de patatas and loved it. I can't wait to go again!

Yelp
A cute bar in Neukölln. The vegan tapas are inspired by Spanish recipes and are quite tasty. The prices are excellent and the interior decoration of the place is lovely (vintage, old-school). The staff are also very pleasant and polite. It feels like you're having a drink in a close friend's living room.

Yelp
I tried a very tasty gluten free vegan pizza. When I was almost done with it, I was lucky enough not to swallow and hurt myself with a piece of sharp, hard plastic the size of my big toe nail that appeared on in the pizza. I told the waiter/owner who politely apologized, yet he charged me for the whole dinner offering me a shot for having found a surprise on my pizza. Unfortunately the waiter/owner did not really know how to handle the situation properly and the cook looked out the kitchen but said nothing ( at the pop-up kitchen the cooks gain all the food they sell) VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Yelp
Cozy little bar/cafe on a side street. Good vibes, friendly crowd, live music, good wine served generously. Just a nice little place to go in Berlin.
