One of the best coffee places in fairbanks. Highly recommend this local coffee shop, it has great variety of food options to choose from and their coffee is a must stop worthy. The food was amazing, the choices were great and they sell out quickly too, which reflects the popularity of the place.

Lots of options! I thought the reindeer pocket was salty but would definitely try some other foods here bc they look great. FYI on the menu they have 2% but they only have skim.

Warm, spacious coffee stop right off from the main road. All the coffee options you can imagine in great qualities plus pastries.

The food and coffee are incredible. I had a dentist appointment near by and my son and I stopped in to grab a bite. He got a hot chocolate with a giant cookie and I got a reindeer pocket with a white mocha. Highly recommend, I will be back.

Came in on a rainy day, they were busy but the wait was reasonable plus they have plenty of seats! Got a reindeer pocket, spinach tomato and cheese frittata (forgot to take a pic), and a lavender blackberry scone. Also got an oat milk latte and husband got a seasonal drink. We are visiting Fairbanks for the first time, would recommend for anyone unsure of where to go for a coffee/breakfast spot. This place also has plenty of amazing looking desserts that we didn’t get to try. This place also makes personal pizzas that we saw someone other customers get so nice options all around

Tried their afagato coffee, shepherd's pie mocha, and peanut chocolate cupcake. Afagato is a lot for one person, It's best to bring a friend to share with. The peanut on cupcake was heavy and dense. I like their coffee, but the food is a little overpriced for a quick bite.

The food and coffee are good. You can go there for savory or sweet with your coffee. Shame on me that I did not have a chance to try their pizza. I love that 8-Oz size of cappuccino is offered. Friendly service.

Good coffee, very much enjoyed the Nicaragua beans. The lady at the counter was very good in helping me find the coffee beans thats to my liking. Walked away with half a pound of Nicaragua beans, and a perked up morning.

Zero stars for opening so late I've already had my coffee fix x2 The reindeer and veggie hot pitchers were plump with a mixture of freshness and herbs. Best pockets I've had since I was here last. Actually better! (A few years ago) The Meat and veggie pockets were wrapped in an aromatic mild sourdough. I brought the bread to my nose after a fresh bite and inhaled a sourdough aroma I've missed since childhood. Mom used to make sourdough pancakes from starter obtained from a loner outside of allakaket on the koyukuk river. Inhaling the sourdough scented steam brought Alaskan life to my soul. Open earlier. And you'd double your sales from me.

Coffee was great. Very cozy vibe. Service was decently quick. They did mess our orders a bit but fixed it quickly. Friendly service. We also got a few vegetarian flatbreads which were available in the afternoon. They come baked in a wood fired oven which is a great addition to the cafe vibe.

I'm not a muffin person but I am a cardamom one, when I saw the Strawberry Cardamom Vanilla muffin in the pastry window I had to have it and it was easily the best muffin I've ever tasted. The barista offered customizations to my cappuccino, which I greatly appreciated (1 or 2 shots, wet/half&half/dry--the price is the same regardless). I went traditional and it tasted great. I don't know if there was latte art cause the foam stuck to the to-go lid when I opened it. The ambiance is super casual, could probably be a bit more polished but you could tell all of the staff were working hard.

On a work trip to Alaska during a brutal cold snap, my team and I made a point of trying to find local businesses to try out and support. All of us being huge coffee drinkers, we decided to give this place a go. Not only was the coffee excellent, my huge macchiato, the barista asked if I wanted all four shots, the service was top notch and the cafe while just being in a strip mall felt as cozy and warm as we needed in such a freezing morning.

Food is good and they can make your dream coffee... pizza tastes good, though small portion.

The food, service, and ambiance are great. They have a variety of baked goods. The cinnamon walnut raisin roll heated up is pure joy! The coffee is hot and great tasting. They have free Wi-Fi.

Outstanding! I happened upon it by accident and got a latte, Little Italy pizza and peanut butter pie. The pizza might be the best pizza I've ever had and peanut butter pie definitely was! It was so good, I came back again the next day and ordered the exact same thing again!

We ordered a oatmilk coffee latte & a oatmilk chai tea latte. Both arrived lukewarm once we tasted them, it was so disappointing Not Hot.. ughhh! Cost me $12 +left a $2 tip. REALLY $14 for bad hot drinks. +Being charged a buck each for oatmilk. Should of gone to Starbucks.

I recently began coming back to ACRC after years long hiatus. Been very pleased with my coffee and also the food! One fun new discovery is their pizza. They've got a sizable in-house pizza oven and offer almost a dozen different varieties. They are great. No dripping grease, tasty fresh toppings, good crust. I also tried their crustless quiche which I thought was fresh and wonderful. I like they have a soup of the day available also. Service is still a bit ... aloof. They're not big on smiles or enthusiasm, but get the job done. I recommend stopping by if you're on the west side to split a pizza with one or two friends. They're the perfect size. Ask for a side of marinara or parmesan, they will give you a small cup for free :)

My mocha has a burnt taste to it. The cream brûlée was ok. At least they took the effort to burn the top layer before serving it. The shop looks cute at the counter area, but they could definitely upgrade the seating area a bit. The tables and chairs make it look like a McDonald restaurant.

Coffee was great, They offer a nice little bakery, but get there early they sold out of many of the favorites by 10:00 am. They also were making pizza. I didn't buy any, but it looked like everyone's favorite.

Quick service, great atmosphere, and lots of delicious drinks and bites to eat. This is a perfect coffee shop and if you're lucky, you can grab an empty canvas coffee bag if available!

This place became a daily stop when we were in Fairbanks. The food was great and the coffee was delicious. The cafe is very cute inside although a little crowded in seating. We would definitely frequent if we lived there.

Barcelona Pizza was amazing. Coffee is super hot and the Russian Tea Cookies are delicious. Was a little slow at the checkout but well worth the wait.

The best coffee shop in Fairbanks maybe in Alaska. Their onsite coffee roasting has been perfected. Every cup is exceptional with its smooth full flavor sips. I can even find words to describe how delightful the coffee is and don't even get me started on the freshly baked pastries! If in Fairbanks the land of 100 coffee carts make sure you plan a trip to this little one at the end of a strip mall.

From the outside it seemed a little sad, but once I stepped inside I was surprised to see a big, clean cafe with plenty of bakery selection. Staff was friendly, service was quick. We tried the cappuccino and white mocha breve- both were good. Will recommend!

Not worth the trip to the restaurant coffee was weak and cinnamon roll was tasteless and over priced.

By the time we got there, there were only 4 Veggie Breakfast Pockets which two were taken right away by my hubby and his best friend. Both of them said it was really good. Me, of course got the Latte flavor of the day (I forgot what it was) with oatmilk and a piece of carrot cake. I enjoyed every last sip of my latte, it had the right sweetness and creaminess. The carrot cake was delicious I can say it's one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had, honestly. Lots of sitting area, clean, well organized, overall we had a great experience.

So disappointed, coming all the way from California, hoping to have a good latte looking at their website. We ordered 4, each one was just pour without latte art, the taste is nothing coming out from vending machine. Pizzas were very good, reindeer bun and chicken pie were ok, on the salty side.

Roasted: last morning in Alaska and checked out Alaska Coffee Roasting Co. This coffee shop is in a small strip plaza but is a great location with great seating. Tables are currently spread out to ensure social distancing but it's nice to be able to sit inside and enjoy a latte out of a mug. Huge menu - both food and flavors. Tons of sugar free options with almond again which is definitely my new favorite. Barista was super nice and offered us our lattes in mugs since we wanted to sit and stay. The vibe in here is great, quiet music, local Alaska decorations balanced with coffee decor as well. The Christmas decorations just added to it. My latte was delicious. The milk and espresso tasted perfectly and the balance of the almond was right on. The only miss here was no latte art but I'll take a great latte with no art any day. Would come back for sure. Unroasted: coffee shop in a strip mall always can be hit or miss. I would say this is a hit. The decor makes it feel like a brunch place. The serve brick oven pizza in the same spot. The pastries all look really good. I would suggest getting a cinnamon roll. The staff was friendly and helped out with our questions. Plenty of sugar free options ions available. I got my usual and I would say it's the best yet. The milk was steamed velvety smooth. The coffee was not overly hot and the espresso was pulled perfectly. Great job all around. I would recommend you check this place out

Stopping for a quick cup of coffee before checking into our hotel in Fairbanks, we found ourselves at Alaska Coffee Roasting. Unlike the several roadside coffee stands we saw, this is located in an actual building in a strip mall. With it being Halloween, I opted for a pumpkin latte with oat milk. It had a wonderful pumpkin flavor without being artificial or overly sweet. They do offer a variety of food items and bakery items, however, we had just eaten lunch and I had no room left in my belly. Definitely an awesome little coffee spot in the Fairbanks area, especially if you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee as opposed to take it to go.

My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday morning for a quick bite. We stood at the counter as a line developed behind us that eventually reached the door. No one was at the counter taking orders or acknowledged us as staff bustled around to take care of the drive thru line. Once someone could take our order, we learned that they were out of breakfast sandwiches and the savory sandwiches listed on the menu are actually pre made wrapped sandwiches that you grab yourself out of the cooler. I had a salmon sandwich and my husband had an Italian sandwich. They were atrocious. The bread was stale and fell apart. Salmon did not look fresh. I had a Pumpkin spice latte that was good though. I would stick with coffee orders only for this place. The pizzas do not look appetizing. They are pre-made, sitting out in stacks next to the bakery items and warmed up.

Not a good place for school work. Or any kind of work. The internet is given out in one hour periods, which is fine, except for when the line is long, which is often because the baristas are taking orders and making coffee, which is inefficient for moving the line. Thus, you'll never be able to get a refill on coffee or internet. There are NO power outlets. The only music that's ever played is Irish music or Disney. It would drive me crazy if I were an employee listening to it daily.

OMG the food. Seriously some of the breakfast (and especially packaged lunch) offerings are better than what you'll get at most FAI restaurants. Coffee is good too. They don't brew water. The line can be VERY slow (appears to have nothing to do with the staff who are very polite and efficient). As a place to work it might be a bit noisy for some, but its comfortable. Don't let the strip mall location put you off; its absolutely worth a stop.

First time in Alaska. I stopped by for lunch and ordered a dirty chai. I also had a bite of my mom's molasses cookie. It was all very good. I also enjoyed the smell of the pizzas. I would come again if I'm ever back in Alaska.

Stopped in for a chat with a good friend. She ordered a latte of sone kind which was (she said "is fine"). I ordered a large coffee. Being the little piggies we are we also got 4 cookies. Russian Tea, Chocolate Chip, Ginger, and an oOrange-like shortbread thing. The cookies were fantastic. The coffee was not. It wasn't burnt, but nearly so. It was a bit off the way a pot does when its been on a burner too long (that sour bite). One sip and in the trash went that over-priced cup of coffee. I don't want to ding these people on the stars because they all looked like they cared and doing their best. I know I should have asked for another cup but I am not that person. If you have read this review to here you should know that I give this visit TWO STARS but I leave 4 in truth because I don't want them to be punished by bad Yelp reviews.

Coffee and tea were okay. If I came again, I would stick to a muffin or pastry. Food was so-so. I got a veggie pocket, which the clerk wasn't sure how to describe to me. It wasn't very hot after sitting in the warm case. My mom got a cold quiche and microwaved it twice in the main area.

Caffeine kick! Alaska Coffee is a very popular coffee house. It was packed with locals. At 10 am on a Friday, it was packed and line was 10 deep. Decent amount of seating inside. They have food and pastries on the menu as well. Coffee, 20 oz - $3 - They only have 1 drip on the menu. It was good and strong. Much needed. Mixed Fruit Smoothie, 20 oz - $4.75 - The fruit is frozen but it still tasted good. There was 4 different fruits. Not overly sweet. Brownie - $3 - Big fudgy brownie with nuts on top.

The coffee is quite good here! The atmosphere is nice and the service is good. They have a great selection of Italian food items and a roastery that adds to the warmth and overall cool vibe.

This is the place to go for coffee in Fairbanks. excellent quality coffee and baked goods as well as some coffee shop standards like breakfast burritos. We tried the drive through and the walk up counter. Both worked out well.

Absolutely loved coming here. My first visit I just grabbed a piece of cake and some pre made pasta salad. It was so nice to have the grab and go option - or options I should say. They have so many things to chose from. There is definitely something for everyone here. I brought my husband on my second trip here. We got the latte of the week called the Snowman - it was SO GOOD. Vanilla, hazelnut, and Irish cream flavored... but we swear it tasted like burnt marshmallow - in a good way. Absolutely loved it. We each got a breakfast pocket too - it was hot and filling and of course delicious. Weekend calories dont count so of course we had to grab dessert too. We couldn't agree on what to get so he got a peanutbutter pie slice and I grabbed a pistachio Eclair. Best decision of the week. Both were huge, not too sweet, but so so so good. Needless to say we will be back again and again. I cant wait to try their pizza and other goodies. Do yourself a favor and try it out. You wont regret it.

Living in fairbanks brings many simple joys, one of which is going to a good sized cafe on Saturday mornings with your little family for coffee and treats. The only downside is the food and drinks have become more expensive over the last couple of years, making it not quite able to fit it into our budget as often as we would like. Probably because they had purchased large equipment that didn't end up being used, and need to make up for in sales? But that's speculation. When you walk inside, there is merch for the store along a path that leads you to a large glass case full of goodies. They serve everything from sandwiches, kosher dogs (really good), and pot pies to cookies, delicious specialty muffins and cupcakes, German chocolate cake, chia pudding, and a soup of the day. But they really shine when it comes to their flatbread pizzas! They typically have about 5 different kinds, depending on the day and time of the day. Almost every time, my son (7 now; but ages 3-6 when we would go) would order a hot chocolate. I have ordered the White Mocha, the Mocha (both hot and iced), the blended mocha, a white mocha with tiramisu syrup, white mocha with coconut, and just about any other variety of white mocha. My two go-to drinks the last year of living in Fairbanks ended up being blended mochas and mango peach tea. My husband loves to try the different coffee of the day, and will indulge in 20oz caramel mochas from time to time. The blended mocha: This is an ice blended with the coffee drink itself; a frappe. Depending on who the barista is making it, the chocolate flavor may either be rich or on the lacking side. If you prefer a rich chocolate flavor (like I do), ask for extra chocolate flavor! The hot chocolate: It's creamy, but not unlike your standard hot chocolate. Nothing terribly special, but perfect for the kiddos. The caramel mocha: Depending on who the barista is, it may have more of a caramel flavor. This is a good standard caramel mocha, typically not resting too far on the sweet side. The flatbread: All super good! They are a personal size, about 8". But good to share with somebody on a coffee date. The kosher dog: My pregnancy go-to snack while stoping here! They only make a certain amount each day, so when they run out it is a bummer. The service: Having had a friend as a barista there for a time, the service used to be better and more personal. But after she moved on to a new job, the baristas I encountered were hit and miss. I've had really nice girl baristas make my drink to perfection! But the male baristas I've had have been sub-par with little enthusiasm or care for the products they serve. I had a male server throw a mix of food I had ordered into a to-go bag without them being wrapped individually or placed carefully, and the food smashed together making it messy and hard to eat. The staff has hopefully changed since I was there last. Overall, it's a good cafe with good coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. You will quickly become a regular here!

My son took us to his favorite coffee shop while we were visiting for Thanksgiving. It lived up to all his bragging and more. They roast and grind their own beans. The coffee is fresh and flavorful. They make an extensive variety of coffees and coffee based drinks as well as baked goods, sandwiches and soup. One member of our group had a breakfast burrito and he said it was outstanding. It was filled with fresh ingredients and large in size. The prices are reasonable and the staff friendly. Be prepared to wait inline but it moves fast. They take credit cards and have ample parking in the small shopping center they are located in. I will be going back for coffee and breakfast and lunch when I visit next time.

Alaska Coffee Roasting Co. was a pretty cool place. The skinny pumpkin pie latte I ordered was very good. Baked goods included blueberry bread pudding and chocolate chip cookies...the bread pudding was tasty and the cookies were ok. They also had chia pudding, pizza, quinoa salad, pasta salad and egg salad. There were plenty of people hanging out and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. Tables were available indoors and out. Staff were great.

Dont come if covid cautious.! NO social distancing or masks needed. When I asked the girl if makes were mandatory she said "No! They arent!" (as if it was a good thing). Absolutely not cool. Their coffee and food are definitely not even close to being good enough to risk your life and others lives for. If i could give 0 stars I would :))))

They make the best flatbread pizza I have ever has. They are also open to trying any coffee concoction you can come up with. If you want lunch, come early.

Love this place. Coffee is always good, especially the cappuccino. The scones were all gone by the time we got there, so we ordered a cookie. Also there quinoa salad is killer!

Friendly staff, good coffee and good food. They have pizza, kosher dog, special lunches and bakeries. I like the fact it's very casual. I had my breakfast reindeer and egg hot pocket. Pretty good and not gamey at all. Though it was very doughy and so I only had the thin part of the dough and left most of the breading.

This is a long overdue review but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to review this place. I was here last summer visiting my sister and we had a quick lunch here - they had some great flat breads here. I got the Aegean and the Rio Grande. They were both very good. Our order got a little confused but we worked it out pretty easily. The service was good and the setting was great for a casual lunch. I loved the light wood interior and the soft lighting. Being able to see where they roast the coffee added a lot of character the place as well. I definitely recommend this place - I haven't tried their coffee or cakes but if they are as good as their flatbreads, I would think they're amazing!

Okay coffee - not what I expected for a place that roasts their own beans. It was more of a cafe that also serves coffee. I had a salmon quiche that was fair. My husband enjoyed his reindeer pocket so that was a win. Next time I'll hit one of the drive thru espresso spots instead for my morning jolt.

Aegean Pizza was really good and proportioned perfectly. The atmosphere was very friendly as well. I highly recommend this place.

Lots of options for vegetarians. I got the veggie breakfast pocket. It is served warm, and is made from delicious homemade bread filled with well seasoned scrambled eggs, potatoes, spinach and peppers. I also ordered the fruit smoothie which is blended with your choice of milk and has peaches, mango, pineapple and strawberries. They only have one flavor of smoothie. The smoothie was delicious also. Highly recommend this place. Very friendly, helpful and kind service.

Cute little coffee shop/cafe in Fairbanks. Great selection of flatbreads and bakery items. Staff was super friendly but clearly looked overwhelmed with the orders and had to remake a number of drinks. They also reported being out of a number of items (soup, zen chai). Would recommend management provide additional training or staff members. I had an Oregon chai, which is just the pre mixed stuff, but it was good. I also ordered an eclair which was also pretty good. Looking forward to going back to try some other items and will definitely just do coffee next time. This is an excellent place to study or work remotely.

Chai tea latte was great! Molasses cookie was scrumptious. Such a nice place to chill and play games. The barista was super nice and friendly. Place was clean and tables had been wiped off. I'd recommend spending some time here.

Coffee was great! Seemed like they were short handed. the drive thru line moved reasonably well but we waited outside to go inside. big mistake. Took well over 30 minutes, one girl took orders and made the coffee. Got a muffin because they were out of everything. it was awful. tasted like they left out the sugar or some other crucial ingredient. it was inedible. my daughter got a frittata, no plate, no fork, cold. microwave in seating area, figure it out yourself.

I love their flatbread pizzas but I was horribly disappointed with a chia pudding dessert I bought. It was $8 dollars and I was too shocked to put it back. It had maybe 8 raisins, a few almonds and a small sprinkle of coconut on top. I felt totally overcharged. Try their pizzas and scones- AVOID the chia pudding. You can make that at home for a dollar.

I usually love this place but I've been standing in line for 20 minutes. Slow slow slow while people gabbing in the back. On a Monday morning you gotta pick up the pace! Front gal should also be given the ok to ask for help up front if she's overwhelmed. I'll be back next Monday!
