Alba Accanto

My recommendation is to avoid the hostess at all cost. She gives a negative feeling to the entire experience. Sad for such a great restaurant with fantastic food. Everything we ate was delicious, fresh and delightful! When we entered the restaurant we had a reservation. There were two tables taken inside, and two tables taken outside on the terrace, as it was a 5:30 pm reservation. When we left at 7:00pm maybe a quarter of the restaurant was full. When we entered the restaurant It was raining and we had requested a seat outside, but since the restaurant wasn’t full we chatted with the hostess about sitting inside. she then told us she couldn’t seat us inside because she had other reservations. She was dismissive and wasn’t friendly at all.

Had a fun night at Alba Accanto a couple weeks ago. First off, the space is beautiful! It’s truly a sexy space, that is perfect for a date or pre dinner drinks & snacks. I tried multiple glasses of wine, that were all fantastic. Although I wasn’t familiar with the specific producers, the Nebbiolo, etna rosso & others were all outstanding. Also ordered a personal favorite, gin martini with a twist and it was perfect. The snacks were on point as well. The toro melts in your mouth and is the best thing I tried. The langoustine was also delicious, as was the tartare. A heads up, I only tried multiple crudi’s and they are smaller in size. (They’re supposed to be!) but I’m sure the other options are larger and no doubt just as tasty. I highly recommend popping into alba Accanto for drinks & snacks, you won’t regret it 🙌🏼

Delicious food, wasnt inventive but rather upscale classics. Cocktails average/decent, but a great wine list. Service was on point very friendly and attentive.

The focaccia bread with whipped ricotta is so good!

I love this place! We sat at the bar and David, the bartender, took great care of us! He also makes a great spicy, skinny mezcalita. The zucchini blossoms are delicious. Can’t wait to go back’

Great cocktails even the non alcoholic ones! The spicy toro was delicious. This is a beautiful bar and everyone was super sweet. Will definitely be coming back.

Good wine and martini, place has been open for around 3 years. They have beautiful interiors, very classy with outdoor seating too.

5/5 for ambiance 5/5 for service 4/5 for drinks 3/5 for food I have seen the Lantern Building before but was shocked to find this restaurant in it. Outside/inside is a great sight! You're also right by the high line which is easy to walk around after Hostess and waitress were super friendly and gracious. Our group wasn't there yet and they were lovely to us. Alright, inching closer to the low points. Cocoffee was nice but nothing extravagant. I did like that it was coconut cream which made this espresso martini quite unique! Heirloom tomatoes and cacao e Pepe were fine. Nothing unique or extravagant about it. Felt overpriced and quantity was medium. I didn't think this was worth $25+ or unique from most other Italian in NYC but there we go. Recommend for the experience but probably will pass on a second visit (or maybe just go for drinks, skip wasting money on the food)

A new restaurant adjacent to Cucina Alba, Alba Accanto is more of a tapas-style restaurant which features great cocktails and wines by the glass. Not many tables but a lot of bar and outdoor seating. The service is very friendly. No pastas or dessert. There is a private room in the back.

Overall rating: 4.8 My, oh, my. Idk about this review about a mean host, because the one I had was freaking amazing. I'm not sure why I had to make a reservation for when it opened, but no one was there. This place is too expensive for me, so I'll only come back with a fancy date drinks were awesome and I absolutely loved the decorations. Def thought it was more coastal feeling than what I felt. I'm not understand why this bar was created, given it's next to the main restaurant. But I thought it was cute!

I can't speak to the food here because we arrived on a Saturday night and enjoyed drinks at the bar. The space is absolutely beautiful and perfect for date nights and girls nights alike. The bartender was friendly enough and the drinks were decent. My reason for returning would be because the space itself is beautiful and gives off a mix of European and Palm Springs vibes.

Alba Accanto is the holiday bar next to the pasta driven Cocina. While Cocina does most of the heavy duty cooking, the former specializes in bespoke, Positano coast inspired cocktails and other imbibing pleasures. But no trendy bar experience is complete without a curated pairing of crudi and drinks, so a menu of compressed small bites are available to line your stomach. With a trustee bread program next door, the foccacia is a good choice. Select carpaccios if you only want a light bite. Pricey bites, but expected for this airy, bright, European invoking space.

Great ambiance. Food and service were very good! Would definitely recommend the prosciutto pizza and spicy toro were our favorites. Some of the portions were a bit small but the flavor made up for it.

Had so much fun at this new West Chelsea spot!! Can't wait to come back. The cocktails were perfect and the decor was highly detailed. Perfect spot for drinks with a friend, a date, or even impressing people from out of town!
