The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, made even more special by the view of Harrods right in front. The food is excellent, nothing to complain about.
However, there is a but.
I dine in Italian restaurants in London very often, and there are many good ones. What truly makes the difference, though, is what makes you remember a place and want to come back.
Unfortunately, when I think of Alba, I will remember being denied a Baileys at the end of the meal.
We spent around £5,000, all my colleagues were toasting together, and I was left watching, excluded — simply because I don’t like the house amaro.
This restaurant lacks a bit of humanity and customer care within the staff.
It’s a real shame, especially as one of the waiters was genuinely sorry for not being able to serve it.
I won’t be returning.
