ALBA London - Italian Restaurant Knightsbridge

This is a beautiful restaurant that you have to visit. They had a special cocktail made with pistachio cream and pistachio crumbs, which was the best cocktail I ever had. The seafood risotto was the best. The ravioli was delicious as well. Unfortunately the lamb was the one thing that wasn't quite right. It was very bland and seemed overcooked. However, as it is a seafood restaurant you should stick to the seafood dishes as they were all very good and fresh. We were served by Sam who was very attentive and made sure that all our questions were answered.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, made even more special by the view of Harrods right in front. The food is excellent, nothing to complain about. However, there is a but. I dine in Italian restaurants in London very often, and there are many good ones. What truly makes the difference, though, is what makes you remember a place and want to come back. Unfortunately, when I think of Alba, I will remember being denied a Baileys at the end of the meal. We spent around £5,000, all my colleagues were toasting together, and I was left watching, excluded — simply because I don’t like the house amaro. This restaurant lacks a bit of humanity and customer care within the staff. It’s a real shame, especially as one of the waiters was genuinely sorry for not being able to serve it. I won’t be returning.

Came here as a large group to celebrate a birthday and the atmosphere really stood out chic, lively, and perfect for a special night. Service was great and the staff were amazing. The food was really tasty. We enjoyed the filetto di bosco, Alba tagliatelle, and the carpaccio especially was great. Spicy margaritas were also really good. The only thing I didn’t love was the baby artichoke salad. Overall, it felt like a polished fine dining experience. I loved the elegant table setting and the whole vibe. Would definitely come back and recommend it.

Incredible Italian food and the best view in Knightsbridge - directly overlooking Harrods. Stunning interior and top class service - Ishmael was brilliant. The filetto di bosco (fillet steak with truffle) is a solid 10/10, one of the best steaks I've ever had. Burrata pizza and truffle pasta also so good! The tableside desserts was such a nice touch and of course delicious. Perfect atmosphere, could have spent hours more just enjoying the vibe and admiring the view from the window.

Had such a lovely Friday evening catch up at Alba London. We were greeted by the team and shown around the beautiful new space — Catalina at reception was especially welcoming. The vibe was great, a DJ in the background, everything felt really relaxed. We tried a mix of fantastic dishes: the ALBA Pizza with fior di latte & tomato base, the burrata mozzarella salad, and the sole which was so flavorful. For dessert, the Alba panettone tiramisu (served with mascarpone cream) was a standout, and the Ferrero ice-cream dessert was delicious. I also sampled their spicy margarita cocktail which was perfect for the night. Service was excellent all evening, especially thanks to our waiter Gabriele. I’d definitely recommend Alba for a celebration or just a nice evening with friends.

Alba London delivers a proper fine-dining experience right opposite Harrods From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent attentive, polished and welcoming throughout. Daylight robbery - not worth the hype! Outrageously overpriced, average food and service. I have been to many fine dining and Michelin star restaurants (as well as been to Amalfi) and never have I been charged BOTH a 15% service charge and a cover charge. What is a cover charge for?! Food was very average. There were only 3 portions of bread for 4 people. It seems that the same portion was served no matter the size of the table which is strange. The fritto misto had a thick and oily batter. The burrata was in a runny tomato purée that had no flavour. The filet di bosco with black truffle was undercooked when we asked for medium and lacked any flavour. The white truffle pasta had a strong truffle flavour but was overcooked and just swam in butter sauce. Dessert portion left me gobsmacked with how tiny the portion was for the price charged. The Raffaelo ice cream had a wow factor when it was wheeled over but was 2 small slices for 4 people to share for about £35 while the pistachio tiramisu was a tiny scoop for £19. Service was hit and miss. When we arrived with a 6pm reservation, the doors were still locked - staff seemed very disorganised and we weren’t seated until 6:15pm even though the restaurant was mostly empty. We had to ask for the bill twice, though they were attentive with refilling our water. On top of everything we went home hungry after spending over £100 each (even with no drinks!) Definitely the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had in london. Save your money and go elsewhere.
