Where to Eat During Napa Valley Restaurant Week | Eater SF

"Open a mere eight months, ALBA remains one of Napa’s best-kept secrets. At the River Terrace Inn along the Napa River, dine by cozy fire pits on what’s arguably the best outdoor patio in all of Napa, featuring live music from top local bands on the weekends. For $36, ALBA’s three-course dinner will start with a choice of porcini mushroom bisque or a beet salad. Decide between a grilled pork chop with kabocha squash or a grilled veggie caponata (a Sicilian eggplant dish) for the main, and round it all out with something delightfully unexpected: homemade Key Lime Pie with a graham cracker and macadamia nut crust. For an extra $14, you’ll get two wine pairings, but their original craft cocktails are tough to pass by, like the Valley Heat (tequila, jalapeno, cucumber and pineapple)."

Hands down simply a very good restaurant. Food was delicious, beer was great. Ambiente inside is gorgeous. Can imagine it's eben better in the summer outside. Service is very nice too. And you need to get dessert, even if you think you're full!

Google
My soul felt deeply nourished and at peace while sipping my coffee and eating my breakfast, taking in the picturesque landscape, watching the Nappa river flowing behind the trees, listening to the birds competing with each other to sing their best songs and relishing ambiance and serenity of the early morning. This was my slice of heaven.

Don't get me wrong, this place has great potential... And staff is great.. Just not enough of them to go around. Always one person taking orders and making drinks. They are friendly and so the best they can but takes way to long to get a coctail or a quick coffee if there's any line whatsoever.

Google
Unfortunately, we did not have a good meal at this restaurant. The vibe and look of the place is great. We also had a really wonderful server. The food is just not worth it. I had a French omelet that was not throughly cooked and was very wet. We also were given cold coffee and had to wait a very long time for water. We also were not checked up on. They were probably very busy, but it was not an enjoyable meal.

Google
My coworker and I stopped by for breakfast before heading to the airport. We had the outdoor dining area to ourselves which was surprising because it was so beautiful and serene. Service was great and speedy. All the food was good but my favorite dish was the poached apple toast!! I mean wow! So glad we got it to share. Will be coming back for sure if I’m ever in the area again.

Google
The wine and the atmosphere were great. The food was disappointing. We had the grazing board which was stale, bland, and complete with a moldy strawberry. The Brussel sprouts were passable, but room temperature, untrimmed, and woody.

Craig Goodfellow

Google
The burger was made perfectly and fries had the spices on it, wonderful. I had a Paper Airplane drink, great.

Google
Is not open for food on Tuesdays and this isn't shown on Google Maps. (Only shows as OPEN) Ordered a total of four glasses of wine and the total was over $80. Lousy service to boot. Not coming back.

Yelp
Great service by Gaby and the other workers. Really good breakfast cooked the way we like it. Eggs- delicious light and fluffy Bacon- soft and delicious.

Yelp
Nice spot for breakfast if you're staying at the hotel. The bacon has a nice smoky flavor, and I always love sourdough toast. The breakfast even comes with a little salad, which is a nice touch. My husband had the same breakfast as me, so I can't speak to any other menu items. For breakfast, you order at the counter, and then the food is brought to your table--can't really speak to the service, other than to say the woman who took our order was very friendly.

Yelp
Review for cocktails only! Yummy and as a hotel guest - worth it when using the voucher! Had a lovely drink which name I forget... but the fun part was getting to pour the Prosecco in and watch the drink turn from blue to purple! Really nice bartender and staff and just a casual hotel lobby bar vibe. Nothing to complain about and overall a great experience for what it was!

Yelp
My husband and I were staying at the hotel and we figured we would grab a drink before leaving for dinner. I'm not sure if the bar was under staffed or if they typically only have one bartender but the wait felt ridiculously long. We stood by the bar waiting to be helped and the bartender atleast acknowledged us. When we did finally order, he was not only making our 2 cocktails about another 4...I think he was behind. I had what they call a "bestpresso martini" but it seemed anything but the best or espresso. Lol, the coffee flavor was very light and I've had much better espresso martinis else where. My husband had the berry blossom fizz and I actually liked his drink more, but it was pretty sweet. They need more staff, maybe more options and definitely better quality drinks. If you are naming your cocktail "bestpresso", it better really be the best.

Yelp
Omg! No server available for over 15 mins being seated. She was so busy talking I don't know who she chatting with. I was so disappointed. Maybe that's why the restaurant was empty and theres only couple people at bat. ZERO STAR OF I COULD.

Yelp
Super great dinner!!! The bistro salad is perfection for lovers of vinegar. The grazing board had a lovely variety of meats, cheeses, nuts, and bread with a special addition of a salmon purée & strawberries!

Yelp
I'm currently staying at the River Terrace Inn and ALBA is where Room Service comes from. I placed my order and was told my food would take 30-35 minutes. However, it took 1 hour for my food to arrive. Their menu is already small but they didn't even have the short braised beef. You'd assume they would have this available for Valentine's Weekend since it seems to be the best item on their small menu. The special was mussels so I gave that a try. One side of the bread that accompanied the mussels was completely burnt (see my picture). 1 side wasn't burnt but the back side was burnt. See both pictures, but the burnt side was completely burnt and it was not actually edible!! Ordered: ALBA burger $20, ricotta gnocchi $25, little gem chopped salad $16, daily harvest tartine $16 smoked hamachi crudo $19, mussels $? it was a special, strawberry shortcake $? it was also a special, bottle of sparkling water. $179 for an hour late dinner? So, if I wasn't in my room upstairs would it still have taken an hour long?? My son was looking forward to ordering Breakfast in Bed for Room Service on Valentine's Day which is tomorrow, But that is definitely NOT happening anymore. FYI The food doesn't come on a cart to keep. So when you are done with the food you have to place them outside on the floor of the hotel hallway (i don't want my $400+ a night room to smell like food) When a Manger reads my review let's bet that their reason for delay is some short staffed excuse from covid bullshit. But if that was really the reason they should've mentioned it to me when I ordered from my room so I could decide if I wanted to still order. Don't recommend dining here.

Yelp
I'm very impressed with the meals I received. We stayed at the hotel for 3 days 4 nights. We ate breakfast every morning and dinner one evening. The breakfast was pretty good that's y the four stars. I felt like some of the entrees were a little over spiced. The waitress was very accommodating and did a. Excellent job. What can I say about the dinner it was exceptional! We started with cocktails a little disappointed they were out of the gin I do enjoy but settled for my second choice. Cocktails 5 stars. Appetizers lamb and pork meat balls I could have ate a bowl full they were delicious. I enjoyed the sea bass as my entree I have never eaten it before but it was done so well. My husband had the roasted chicken and he said it was tender and such delectable flavor. Our server was outstanding very attentive and on spot. This was worth the money!

Yelp
Excellent! This is the first day of a 5 day wine and culinary experience in Napa. Checking in to River Terrace and it was too late to go out so we decided to stay in and eat at Alba Restaurant. We learned from "Tina" who by the way provided us with some fabulous service and told us that they had just started a new and limited menu. We tried: Starters: Fresh Baked Corn Bread, Chicken Karaage, Carbonara Toast, all 5 star and super tasty. Salad: Persimmon Salad (So fresh and also excellent) Entree: Alba burger (Cooked perfectly) and Grilled Chicken Breast. (So moist and tasty) Enjoyed a wonderful cocktail outdoors although a bit chilly outside, but nice cozy fire pits to keep us warm. Don't pass up on this overlooked restaurant. This was more than we can ask for to begin our trip; amazing service, quality food with a beautiful atmosphere.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner and had a great meal. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The dishes were delicious as were the wine and cocktail recommendations.

Yelp
Small menu to choose from but we did appreciate the smaller portion sizes. Both plates were shareable for 2 people. Cornbread with the fixins was DELICIOUS! Indoor and outdoor seating available with various seating accommodations inside. We did make reservations but after dining there, it didn't seem like it was necessary although we did visit during the off season - perhaps they're busier later in the year. Breakfast - Avocado toast was delicious with salmon, an egg and sprouts! Super convenient for a cup of coffee to start the morning even if you're not dining in for breakfast. To-go available as well.

Yelp
Went there for breakfast- since I saw so many great reviews. The outside patio is very nice and quiet facing the walk path and the river..The service was good, breakfast was good. Unfortunately I didn't check the bill till I got back. They charged me 50% tip when the breakfast was $20 and I left $4 in gratuity.. the total was clear total of $24 - however on the credit card statement they charged me $34. Unfortunately same thing happened to my friend as well - just very very disappointing when a restaurant/ server adds the whatever tip they want.:( I always thought 20-25% is quite sufficient.. won't go back again..

Yelp
Unfortunately this was the only thing about the River Terrace Inn that we didn't enjoy on our stay. The cocktails we had the previous night were good, but the brunch on our last day was pretty disappointing. We had to order it to-go because it was raining, so they weren't seating anyone (and indoor seating is closed due to Covid). Luckily we hadn't checked out yet, so we ate in our room. We ordered the mushroom omelette, the strawberries and cream french toast, a side of bacon, and a cappuccino. The food prices were somewhat reasonable (for Napa) and it was about $45 total. However, I was definitely surprised at how expensive the cappuccino was, though - it was $7, which definitely wasn't worth it for an average cappuccino. Now, the food...it was pretty average too. The mushroom omelette was served with arugula and potatoes. The arugula was fresh and went well with the omelette, and the potatoes were cooked well, but the omelette itself was a little dry. The strawberries and cream French toast was a little odd, it was served with whole mint leaves on top and chunks of almonds (not ground-up almonds). I avoided the garnish completely. It was also covered with a strawberry sauce that was very artificial-tasting. However, the French toast itself was actually decent, I think it would've been much better without the garnishes and sauce. Sadly the worst part of the meal was the bacon - I wish I had taken a picture, because it was completely burnt. We ate it anyway because we were so hungry. Sadly, I can't recommend coming here, even if you're staying at the hotel (you can walk to Oxbow Market which is a 7-10 minute walk). There are so many other delicious places to eat in Napa. However, if you want to grab a drink, the cocktails we had were great.

Yelp
Took us a little bit to find this place didn't realize it was part of a hotel. We ended up eating outside which was very pleasant and nice and our waitress was Mikkp and she was really good. She was extremely busy as I believe she was the only waitress around. I had steak frites and the steak was a little cold and tough, the french fries were good. My husband ordered Seabass but they were out of it so we ended up having Garganelli Which was a pork belly pasta that he liked. I had two old fashions that were pretty good but missing the cherry my husband had a gin and tonic he said it was just OK.

Yelp
Just say no to the gnocci. We had a party of nine and a party of zero satisfaction. I shoveled through the MRE's that they called gnocci for about 10 minutes only to try to steal something edible from my son, but the hard, dry chicken tenders were tough to get down without the beer that I had to drink because they didn't have the one that I ordered. I moved on to my daughter's hockey puck of a cheeseburger and choked half of it down. It almost came back up however, when I caught a whiff of the sauce on the salmon. My mother ordered a salad. The ingredients that they promised on the salad apparently were also not available, but at least the salad lettuce was wilted so bad it looked like it was the bed for the cow that became the cheeseburger. The water that we got was wet, which was a pleasant surprise. Wish we had gone to the taco truck down the road.

Yelp
Excellent service. Excellent food. First time coming to this restaurant located in the River Terrace Inn; amazing ambience from the moment you walk in. Our waiter was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. Service like this makes you really appreciate a place and will keep you coming back. The food was delicious and the flavors were amazing in each dish. Ordered cocktails as well which were tasty and had a nice presentation. The ambience outside was also beautiful and relaxing, surrounded by nice lighting and some fire pits. A perfect spot for any occasion. Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
ALBA is great-but the service is top notch!!!!! We were staying next door at the Westin and due to COVID the bar and restaurant were closed until later that week. Thankfully, ALBA was open:))) the food was great and the wine was awesome. What makes this place so special was Jose from the bar/restaurant and his staff. Specifically Jose, who made our breakfast experience very special. We would tell our toddler,"we're going to breakfast and see Jose,"and he would cheer up. Jose made us feel like VIP's, he made great recommendations, super attentive (even when he was the only one there attending to a large party with kids) and other guests. He also made the best Old Fashioned cocktail. I hope when you visit ALBA or the River Terrace Inn that you stop bye and say hi to Jose or better yet have the pleasure in having him offer you hospitable and excellent service. We can't wait to go back to ALBA and to say hi to Jose!!!

Yelp
The food was good. I had the burger and fries and my favorite was their cornbread omgeeeee!!! The corn bread was freshly made and tasted delicioso . Our server was a sweet lady who was new but she did a great job! The alcoholic beverage were also good.. My experience here was a good one and the live music was really nice! I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
We checked in and needed to eat fast. I really enjoyed the ahi tuna tacos. It's a small portion so it was hard to share. The cheese board was like a welcome to Napa appetizer! Two types of meat, two types of cheeses, honey, mustard, dried fruit, pickle and olives! The salad was on the bitter side. I did enjoy the cucumber with sunflower seed crunch! What wasn't shown was the Alba burger that comes with garlic, truffle oil infused fries. Very tasty! Pandemic times are tough and menu is modified. Diners use QR code to access menu options. I look forward to breakfast tomorrow...

Senedra N.

Yelp
Both were very delicious. The fruit was fresh and oats flavorful. Although it was too many whole almonds for me, almond shavings would make the berry oats a must have. Steve toast was impeccable.
google avatar

Carlos C.

Yelp
Patio area is very nice and the live music is excellent. Servers are kind but food is mediocre at best. We got some corn bread that was mostly burned, pasta with pork belly that tasted like maruchan ramen with lemon and finally a burger that was supposed to be medium rare clearly well done and not a whole lot of flavor, pure fat and bread. They definitely need better chefs. Hotel is nice though.

Yelp
Based off of the Napa Restaurant Week offerings, ALBA left me disappointed. While the ambience and service were great, the food had major issues that makes it hard to recommend. ALBA, as a part of the River Terrace Inn, requires going in the hotel to find. As you enter from the front and go up the stairs, you are able to find the restaurant which looks stunning. With a modern furnishings and dramatic chandelier hanging in the center, it is definitely a beautiful place. Even more stunning and possibly romantic is the outside where you get the view of the lake. At night, you can gather around the fires and the restaurant also provides blankets. However, the main problem with the restaurant was the food primarily being too generous with the salt. The meal started off okay with a salad that was a little salty. I did enjoy the variety of beets to provide a little variety of flavor and texture. However, the pork I ordered was overly salted to the point of being unable to finish. To end the course, the key lime pie was a little basic with the topping tasting a little artificial. The only thing that really salvaged the experience was the service. They were very attentive and accommodating. In terms of parking, you can park with the hotel parking or valet. Overall, ALBA has a nice date atmosphere with food that is not quite to par.

Yelp
The food was delicious, with small portions, but flavorful. Unfortunately, the service was severely lacking. We called the day before and made reservations for 7 for breakfast at 9:30. We arrived at 9:20 and were told that they don't take reservations for breakfast, which was extremely strange because the day before, we called and gave our name, phone number and were told we could not be seated at 10am because that is when they closed, and that we would have to make a reservation for 9:30am. So we did. We checked our call log, it's absolutely the place we had reservations for at 9:30am for 7 people. They had two 4 tops right next to each other inside when we arrived and they still made us wait and then put us outside in cold foggy weather with a small fire pit. After some time of sitting and waiting for our coffee, we had to ask for the tall propane heaters to be turned on and rolled over to our tables. And then the service was slow. I hope they can get the staff on the same page as to whether or not they accept reservations. The shakshuka was fantastic and comes in a nice cast iron skillet that will allow you to keep your hands warm while you're outside in the cold.

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite local places to eat, never disappoints! During their opening they were accommodating and gave locals a discount. With Napa growing so much, I always feel welcome here. Cole, has been the host my last couple times. He always has a great welcoming spirit. Issa, was our server tonight. She was very attentive and very charismatic! The highlight of our night was when Executive Chef Zanty came out, greeted us and explained his special of the night! Everyone should support this new local spot, the food and service is always incredible!

Albert L.

Yelp
Only giving 5 stars because chef DJ is the best. His food I will follow l. They are very lucky to have him. Surprisingly he's not the head chef. That should change. P.s I should give this hotel 0 stars for not having blossom as the front desk anymore. She was the heart of the lobby.

Yelp
Beautiful little restaurant nestled inside the hotel! Lovely decor, friendly staff, and delicious food (yummy mimosas too)! We went for breakfast. Had the two egg breakfast and shared a plate of pancakes. Reasonably priced, fresh good quality food.
google avatar

Yelp
I hate to say that this place was the only down side to our wonderful stay at River Terrace Inn, but unfortunately, it was. When we first arrived in Napa and checked in to this gorgeous hotel, the gentleman working the front desk informed us that it was happy hour in the bar/restaurant. We could see the pretty bar area in front of us so we quickly dropped our luggage off so we could come back down to enjoy happy drinks and appetizers. There were only a couple of other people there so it wasn't busy. We sat at the bar and grabbed a menu. The bartender never acknowledged us but instead walked away and didn't come back for 10-15 minutes. We decided to move on and explore the grounds. We ended up walking along the beautiful walking path and finding an oyster bar. Great service there! Two days later we were checking out and needed to grab breakfast. Alba's menu looked pretty decent and we were kind of in a hurry so we sat down for breakfast. The server was very friendly. I both ordered coffee and an egg entree. The coffee wasn't good. My egg white dish was okay, but nothing special. Daniel had the eggs Benedict with crab and it was just okay as well. It was quite pricey and we again, were not impressed. At least we had good service for breakfast though. I hate to see such a great little resort struggle with the restaurant. Maybe they will make an effort to improve.

Yelp
This is our second time in Napa, and even though we didn't stay in the River Terrace Inn this time, we decided to come back to the restaurant for breakfast! Our server Dante remembered us from last time! He gave us such great service, even remembered where we are from and what we talked about on our last trip. Hospitality like this is hard to find. Thank you Dante! I highly recommend this restaurant not only for the service, but also for the food. Their food is very healthy, fresh, and delicious! I loved my omelet with asparagus and tomatoes. It was the perfect start to another day of wine tastings. We will be back next time we visit Napa.

Yelp
Been here in Napa for the weekend and never thought this place would be great But Wow Great Patio atmosphere with Music and Brunch with Bottomless Mimosas, Next to the River walkway. Relaxing atmosphere outside the Hotel.. Don't judge the Hotel from the frontside compared to the back view. Worth checking out for Sunday Brunch.. Thanks to Norberto who took care of us..

Yelp
Came here for dinner and man was it awesome. Food was delicious and I loved the presentation on the plate when my food was delivered. Service was awesome! When I was done with my meal the chef came out and introduced himself to our party and asked how everything was. I believe his name was zanty? It's rare going out to restaurants and the chef actually comes out and interacts with his guest for the evening. Will definitely come back when in Napa Okay. Came back and food just did a whole u turn but didn't complete the u turn. Does that make sense ??? What's that called. 180? Whatever. Ordered medium rare on for my steak got it well done also found a spec of hair in my food. Kinda brownish. My hair is black. Didn't say anything because it was busy and I was hungry and didn't want to wait for another order since I've been waiting awhile. Asked to refill my drink twice before it actually came out. Thought the chef would come out and greet the dining area again like good chefs do but that didn't happen. I asked if the Filipino guy was there but said they had a new chef. Ehhhhhhhhhhh. Maybe I'll just try something else when I'm in the area next.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent wine selection, very small beer selection, mediocre food, and terrible staff. All approximately 8 people I interacted with at ALBA during my 3 day at the hotel were rude and many were also incompetent. It often took a long time to place an order even if the place was nearly empty. The bartenders often didn't know what wine they had or where it was. It took 4 people to take my order and serve my breakfast one day. Just awful overall.

Carrie L.

Yelp
Ordered the burger and it was way too salty with the burger meet which is also over cooked (ordered medium). The fries are also over salted. Totally worse burger ever had.

Yelp
This place is one of my new favorite local spots! I love that the menu is sweet and simple, yet has something for everyone. Had an impromtu dinner here Friday and so happy I did. Cole hosted us upon arrival who was very friendly and and was able to accommodate us + my sleeping toddler in the stroller. Our server was Issa, she's super sweet and came around just enough times to ask us how our dinner was. Nikko, also was very attentive to our table and also asked not only how we were doing but I saw him at other tables checking in to see how they were also. The FOOD! Amazing! We had the cheese plate, truffle fries, ahi tuna tacos and shared the special which was a ravioli. Everything was delicious! The chef also came out to greet us which was super sweet! Definitely will be returning! Try out this new local spot! I hear their breakfast is great too!

Yelp
Great happy hour at ALBA. Can't beat Sangria Sunday with my cool bartender Jeff. Pouring something nice, cold and tall on a warm evening in Napa. Nickie another bartender and server gave a free taster of some local bourbon as well. Great place.

Marla C.

Yelp
Service was great...super friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and lovely outdoor seating. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay...it was very good. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Horrible!! The worst breakfast that I've ever tasted. I took one bite of my scrambled eggs and they tasted slimy and undercooked. The potato were hard and had no flavor or seasoning. The English muffin was served cold with no butter or jelly. My wife's omelet was also undercooked and slimy. Thankfully the meal was included with our room and we didn't have to pay for it.

Yelp
Alba is a relatively new addition to Napa's hotel restaurant scene- they opened last June, and their breakfast service is even newer. When I arrived around 9:30 in the morning, I was treated like Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman by the hostess- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puyLokubgqE The hostess would give me eye contact, then disappear. I was consistently ignored. I saw tons of empty and/or dirty tables, yet she told me I'd have to wait a half hour. After pointing this out, she seated me. Again, I was ignored. A server brought ice water&made sure I got my order in. I ordered the breakfast flatbread- but belatedly learned they had run out. So, I went for the Alba instead- how could an omelette with asparagus, avocado, tomato&hollandaise sauce go wrong? It was a delayed order. I was seated outside, with a beautiful view of the Napa River. The River Terrace Inn has a spectacular patio at Alba. There were tons of empty and/or dirty tables, so the server who ensured I had water was also acting as a busboy. When I finally received my breakfast, it was kind of cold&the hollandaise sauce had the consistency of paste. When it came to a delayed order, it was akin to Leslie Jones- https://www.etonline.com/leslie-jones-slams-jessica-albas-honest-company-for-not-doing-good-business-106227 To be honest, Alba did not do good business, tho the waitress&server did their best to salvage the situation. The Alba omelette was OK. The grilled tomato had gotten cold. The omelette was meh. They make decent breakfast potatoes, tho they were lukewarm. Alba really needs to improve its breakfast. The server&waitress did a good job of saving the situation, plus they have a beautiful river view.

Yelp
I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning from this place, most likely staph aureus because of the fast onset.

Deborah T.

Yelp
We stayed in the hotel connected to the restaurant and received free Continental breakfast. Even free the food it was nothing special. Coffee looked like tea and the hot water for tea was discolored and looked like weak coffee. Server said they interchange the pots for teas and coffees so the hot water pot had residue from the coffee. Yikes. There was variety of Breads bagels etc a few sweet rolls that were set out after we had eaten, fresh fruit was fair and plain yogurt definitely had sugar. There were lunch meats and cheese but we r vegetarian so didn't really interest us. There were other items to order off the menu but given what we did eat felt it wouldn't be worth ordering. It was a convenient location to get light fair food but wouldn't going back.

Yelp
We had dinner here Sunday night. The food was good and the service could use a boost in training. The outdoor venue was enjoyable and the coffee shop type music was also enjoyable. Good atmosphere, a little pricey especially taking into account the level of service, the lack of pressure on the staff on what seemed to be a slow Sunday evening.

Yelp
My girlfriends have been raving about Alba's new lounge area for a while now, so I'm glad my husband and I finally had time to check it out. First of all, the lobby, lounge, dining and bar area, are so lovely! With a high ceiling and dramatic chandelier reflecting in the bar's glass backdrop, the feel was contemporary. Then add a TV behind the glass sheet (that just happened to have the Warriors playing) and we were right at home! We had prompt service with help ordering which was great. We ended up getting a few appetizers; ahi tacos and mac and cheese with LOBSTER. Both were awesome! Then I had the salmon, and the husband had a burger, as always. Though we ordered what we tend to order a lot, this was no ordinary meal; the salmon preparation and presentation was excellent! And apparently the burger was one of the very best, ever, too. We will definitely go back soon, and often. We found a new local hangout. Can't want for warmer weather, too, because the patio area just outside the large, double glass doors, looked super inviting. Good job River Terrace Inn, and Alba!

Yelp
Great aesthetic and atmosphere. Live music is great. Ordered the prime rib. It was over cooked even after sending it back. My bride enjoyed the salmon and the shoshito peppers were delicious. They need new chef.

Yelp
We were staying at the River Terrace Inn and after a long day of wine touring & tasting didn't have the energy to go elsewhere for dinner. We sat outside which was beautiful. The walking path by the river, the eucalyptus trees. They also have a bean bag toss game outside. My friend ordered the tuna tacos which were very delicious and tasty. At first we thought they were very small. The dish comes with two tacos. Fried light crispy shell with ahi tuna and spicy mayo drizzled on top. A definite treat. I ordered the lobster papparadelle. It took a little getting used to. It was in a white wine sauce but a tomato a white wine sauce. The more I ate it the more it grew on me and by the end I thought it was a delicious. The pasta was a little too aldente for me. And I did have a bite of Lobster at that I thought tasted very fishy so I did not eat it. We ordered key lime pie and Beignets for dessert. The key lime pie was okay, not the best. A little on the runny side. The beignets were nothing like beignets. My friend wondered what I was thinking ordering them since she would never eat them outside of New Orleans. She ended up being right. She described them as bread soaked in French toast batter and then squished together in a ball and deep-fried. It was very doughy in the middle. The service was not the best. We ran out of water a few times because they were drinking so much we were dehydrated from the wine tasting day. And a lot of the time our glasses were empty.

Yelp
Salmon was good. Lobster pasta very poor. Service absolutely was poor. Manager not on top of server with all her tables. Do not recommend

Yelp
The service was decent and the interior was very nice but the food was so underwhelming. The only thing I enjoyed was the corn soup. There was nothing special and nothing I'd come back for

Yelp
Great setting, really nice outdoor patio by the river. Unfortunately that's where it stops. Food is average at best, corn chowder was as runny as water, pork belly crepes were good but seriously short on meat, lobster mac and cheese - I won't even bother to describe, just don't get it. I hope they get a new chef and make it work.

Yelp
Napa's hidden gem! Nothing can be better than dining out on the patio next to the river with a rolling fire going, glowing lanterns above and live music playing. Or if you would rather, bellying up to the bar for drinks and merriment... either way, ALBA at River Terrace Inn DELIVERS! To start your meal you must try the pork belly crepes and lobster Mac and cheese... both are perfect to share or can stand alone as a scrumptious meal. If you are looking for a delicious entree, the filet is like butter and will melt in your mouth! To top off your meal you must get some delectable beignets for the table to share... with the homemade caramel sauce and chocolate sauce to dip them in, you are sure to leave the table licking your fingers! I also have to mention that along with the full bar, they have yummy signature cocktails and several specialty brews available. Lastly, the service is excellent. Everyone has a smile on their face, works hard to make your stay here comfortable and they truly are "At Your Service". If you live in Napa or are visiting Napa, you must give ALBA a try, you will thank yourself as you roll out the door thoroughly satisfied from an outstanding meal, exceptional service and beautiful environment. Just want to thank Doug, Zanty, Kortney, Jeff, Nikko, Abraham, Jordan and David for a wonderful evening!

Yelp
Customer service is terrible. Waited 20 mins for water. Not busy or anything but this waitress sucks

Yelp
Perfect location for a meal or drinks outside by the River. The food is very good (the cedar plank salmon was excellent.) We had dinner and brunch there, both were great. Service is friendly but a bit slow. Music in Saturday night 5:30 to 8:30.

Yelp
I did not know this place existed. What a nice surprise. The flatbread was amazing the Bloody Mary was good, the marmalade margarita was great. But our server Leigh was the best! We will be back.
