Unfortunately this was the only thing about the River Terrace Inn that we didn't enjoy on our stay. The cocktails we had the previous night were good, but the brunch on our last day was pretty disappointing.
We had to order it to-go because it was raining, so they weren't seating anyone (and indoor seating is closed due to Covid). Luckily we hadn't checked out yet, so we ate in our room.
We ordered the mushroom omelette, the strawberries and cream french toast, a side of bacon, and a cappuccino. The food prices were somewhat reasonable (for Napa) and it was about $45 total. However, I was definitely surprised at how expensive the cappuccino was, though - it was $7, which definitely wasn't worth it for an average cappuccino.
Now, the food...it was pretty average too. The mushroom omelette was served with arugula and potatoes. The arugula was fresh and went well with the omelette, and the potatoes were cooked well, but the omelette itself was a little dry. The strawberries and cream French toast was a little odd, it was served with whole mint leaves on top and chunks of almonds (not ground-up almonds). I avoided the garnish completely. It was also covered with a strawberry sauce that was very artificial-tasting. However, the French toast itself was actually decent, I think it would've been much better without the garnishes and sauce.
Sadly the worst part of the meal was the bacon - I wish I had taken a picture, because it was completely burnt. We ate it anyway because we were so hungry.
Sadly, I can't recommend coming here, even if you're staying at the hotel (you can walk to Oxbow Market which is a 7-10 minute walk). There are so many other delicious places to eat in Napa. However, if you want to grab a drink, the cocktails we had were great.
