Functional rooms, nicely furnished. Breakfast is typically Italian. Nice service. The location is good for day trips to the surrounding area.

Wonderfully clean room, friendly staff, great dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant that is not terribly pricey , and best water pressure in the shower plus very hot! Great value with wonderful hosts. Bobbio is lovely. Beds very comfortable including room for three with trundle option.

This review is solely dedicated to the "hotel" (more like a "pensione"). I truly do not understand the positive reviews about this hotel structure, dirty, dusty and outdated. The reviews claim the kindness and availability of the owners. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Cold, unpolite, basically a robotic couple that makes you feel like you're a nuisance rather than a guest. Moreover, two people stuffed into a single room barely fit to host a single, slim person - but paid as a double room - is a tourist ripoff (€90 per night! Outrageously high for what you get). Small and dirty, that's how our room was, with the tiniest bathroom on earth. Oh, quite important: please be careful when stepping out of the hotel, as the steps are not indicated according to Italian law and legislations, the floor is waxed and the risk of falling is very high. Walk watching your step at any moment. And if you fall, don't expect to find compassion or empathy from the owners. Rather, and again, a sense of nuisance and total lack of help. I have a video of the room and the hotel premises which I'm unable to upload, but please believe my words. I travelled all over the world and have rarely experienced this kind of behavior and awful situation.

Most of our trips to Northern Italy seem to include a visit to Bobbio. We love the town and the drive down to another of our favourites, Chiavari.||||The Piacentino is a pleasant relaxed hotel right in the centre of town. The rooms are comfortable, but unremarkable. The restaurant is excellent, and in summer eating in the garden a delight. The boss takes great pride in his selection of hams and salamis, and I would say they are about as good as it gets - they are a must for at least one meal. The 3 to 5 different pastas is another mouth watering experience.||||We like this hotel with its excellent restaurant and friendly service.

My arrival was a bit strange. There is no front desk as such but you go into the bar. The lady there showed little interest and when she had finished her coffee she was happy to serve me, meaning to call the manager to talk to me. From there it got only better though. I was politely welcomed and given a room on the first floor. It was simple and a bit old fashioned but clean and comfortable enough. It was very quiet and I had an excellent night sleep. Breakfast choices were rather limited, but there was a good cake available. The location is good, but not so much can go wrong in a little town in this respect. There is no WiFi available however I was directed to a nice cafe which had it. My bike could go on the terrace in the backyard, where I could do some screwing around and cleaning as well. Despite minor drawbacks I would probably come here again.

Brilliant place and lovely staff. Food is good and perfectly sized portions. After a nice trekking and yoga session it was the perfect ending of our days during our stay in Bobbio.

Been here twice now. High quality food and fair prices - couldn’t really ask for more… their pasta dishes are excellent.

Enjoyed an amazing meal here twice. Delicious locall dishes, antipasto superb, cheeses were great . Desserts were truly exceptional. You will not be disappointed and the staff is excellent, very attentive.|
