The oldest restaurant in the area (Established 1912) we arrived for hosted dinner and tour of the property. The best experience was a tour, led by the owner, into his private wine cellar - one of the best collection of Italian and international wines and a private section of his beloved Whisky collection. The dinner was great, accompanies by local wines. Service was warm and attentive. Price is high, yet a great value for money.

Quite a fine option for both dining and staying in the Oltrepò Pavese region. Rooms are basic but quite confortable and generally quiet although you can indeed hear your neighbors. Dining is quite pleasant with well made local dishes in addition to a bit of innovation, served up quickly by a solid staff. Breakfast has a variety of options but compared to dinner and lunch comes up a good deal short.

The place is elegant and fine. The restaurant is located in the Oltrepò (apennine) in Rivanazzano. The owner is very gentle and expert in cooking native eatable plants.
