Portland Restaurants and Bars Where You Can See Live Music | Eater Portland

"Previously known as Love Train and then Alberta Street Public House, Alberta Street Pub has been a stalwart for food and brews for more than 30 years. Soul, jazz, and R&B hold significant real estate on the calendar typically; in addition to hosting live local music in a small venue space, the pub boasts a great patio, 21 rotating taps, craft cocktails, and a menu of vegan burgers, Cajun fried pickles, and shrimp sandwiches." - Jenni Moore

The Best Portland, Oregon Bar Patios | Eater Portland

"Alberta is home to several bar patios worth a visit — including the Hilt, Bye and Bye, and Radio Room — but Alberta Street Pub’s balance of spaciousness and seclusion puts it on this map. There’s enough room for covered and uncovered seating, smokers and non-smokers, with a stage in the corner for live music. The bar churns out plenty of whiskey drinks, mule variations, and slushies, with serviceable bar snacks like Cajun fried pickles." - Nathan Williams

Booked a music gig here, arrived, expecting to be able to play at least one song, didn't even get to play for a second. Students barely got to play, ironically, the people who got to play and talk for HOURS ON END the most were the people who were usually there. No opportunity to say anything, it was repetitive, the people up there had no respect for first timers. The food was also mediocre, I am utterly disappointed by this experience, wasted my time and money, never coming again.

Google
Alberta street pub has an awesome little venue hidden behind the bar, if your looking for killer local bands, whether country, jazz, blues or anything other, support there cause! The bar itself and the patio(huge) is alone on its own, worth a night out with your friends!

Google
I came to this bar for a couple of events, and I found out by looking in my bank statements that I've been overcharged twice, for items I physically went into the establishment (the phone doesn't work) to try to settle it a bartender took my name and passed my information along (SUPPOSED). no one's contacted me back on being over charged. My bank told me to contact the merchant and settle it with the merchant before we do a dispute so that's what I did. And I still have not got a response. Long story short, if you come to this establishment bring cash, don't. Even bother using credit or debit, you will have unsuspecting charges on your card. I have photos as well but they won't let me update.. Well, the story is still long but someone did reach back out to me the manager her name is (Monica). It's been well over 4 weeks and I have yet to receive my refund. Now I wouldn't even be complaining about a refund but I was charged on two separate cards. And then was told that they don't even accept a third-party money app (cashapp). But yeah I have a whole transaction history of it. So this company is definitely doing fraud, the bartenders are putting in things on people's tabs that should not be there things that they did not order. Honestly my next best bet is to call the better Business bureau and just to tell my bank that this company is doing fraud. Honestly if you're a person like me who cares about the integrity of your hard-earned money like me this is not a place to go. Just go to the bar across the street.

Google
ASP is the best bar in Portland. The atmosphere is welcoming, and vibes are always good! ASP is also a great place to see live music, comedy, DJs, and other fun events. They also have excellent service; the staff is very friendly and down to earth. I really love the Lemon Pepper wings too. 10/10 Recommend!

My husband and I just moved here and are so happy to have visited. Our beers and catfish with fries were all good. Can’t wait to come back at night sometime!

Google
Friday night....Not particularly friendly bar staff, and not accurate closing hours listed in Google. I enjoyed the band. They were out of hand soap and paper towels in the bathrooms! 🤯🤮 The liquor tasted a bit watered down.

Google
I used to love this place…nice back patio for nice days… Now, they are charging $8/pint PLUS a credit card fee. The food menu has been neutered and barely has the basics. The only small bite they have is a $10 plate of fries. I’m done with this place.

Yelp
Came here for a drag brunch and would return! Love the cute little back patio which is both al fresco feeling and covered as well for the rainy days! The gin and tonic was super strong and delicious. Only thing that didn't catch my eye was the food menu..nothing quite shouted out for me here.

Yelp
A few of us had just had an afternoon lunch across the street and decided to grab one more drink. The bar is quite unassuming and easy to enjoy. We sat in the front by a window on a slightly rainy day. Good beer, selection, and friendly service.

Yelp
Alberta Pub in the King area of Portland is a corner watering hole hangout hosting a bang of a party until the wee hours of the morning. My daughter wanted to kickstart our Sunday as she'd gotten wind of Alberta P's Soulful Sundays lineup a while back and suggested we come during my short solo visit to Portland. Alberta P. has a dim, cozy feel with the bar area+stools and other tables around. My kid and I were here for the live music the next room over. This room has high stools, slender counters on opposite side and several hi-top tables front of the stage- with cymbals, decorating the walls. Grab a cocktail and settle in. The owner seems to be a legend in these parts who has been hosting and supporting the local live jazzy+Soulful Sundays music scene for a while. Come here if you wanna listen and jive to musicians zhuzh up famous jazzy and soul tunes. The Sunday my kid and I visited, the live band improvised their own schtick- but it also felt sloppy as the main singers ate up a bulk of the time stretching out the songs. At times, it felt and looked like they were cackling. Despite this, the singers had a powerful voice-especially the guy who sounded like El DeBarge. My daughter and I ended our evening on a high note in a dimly lit venue while a live band tinkled out sets of jazzy+ soulful tunes until late. Come with an open mind and you'll leave with your senses bedazzled in some fun- but interesting way.

Yelp
Disappointed and angry in a dive bar, how cliche?! I know. Empty bar. 20 minutes for a smash burger. Over cooked fries. Secret fees. When you're the only one in the bar service should be extraordinary, you're the only one there! A beer and a burger is the bare minimum for a bar. If the menu says $15 for a burger, that's what it is, not 15.83. If the menu says extra bacon is $2, that's what it is, not $4.14. If a beer says it's $8, that's what it is, not $8 and some change. If you have fees for something it should be stated, not randomly charged on the bill. "The managers not in, I can't help!" I think the service staff should be able to explain charges on my bill. I didn't want extra bacon. I wanted what I paid for, nothing more. I won't be back. $30 for a burger, fries and a beer....just to throw it in the trash because it wasn't even done right. Why come?! I'm good. Do better! If I could cuss in this review I would! Sad.

Yelp
Visited 7/7/24 | Spent $16 (taxes and fees included) - At the tail end of Leaky Con (Harry Potter conference), my friends and I visited for a Hip Hop & R$B Bingo Night. The staff were friendly and bartender was attentive, though she was working solo managing the growing line. I was shocked by how much syrup was used to make the tequila sunrise I ordered, so refrained from ordering anything else from the bar for the rest of the night. The nachos were fulfilling and solid bar food. I love how spacious and clean the patio was and the lively entertainment.
google avatar

Jerry G.

Yelp
They say they allow well behaved dogs outside. The fact the owner had a bartender come out and ask me for a service dog card (which isn't a thing) for my dog even though he was laying down not bothering a soul like he's trained to do proved that was not the case. Aaaand four customers lost there.

Yelp
Love this place. Great music. Great service from the super nice staff and the best live sound engineer in Portland. They also treat their bands really well rather than shitty like most clubs do. Highly recommended.

Amber J.

Yelp
A Don Julio lemon drop is 14.49 for the shot , plus an extra 2 for lemon drop mix. A lemon drop at Ruth Chris isn't that expensive.

Yelp
Heard this place was the spot for late night, walked in just now about 0100 and got yelled at that they were closed! Open sign was on but "just got turned off". Google says open till 0200. Update your open time or don't yell at people you're closed wtf. Kinda aggressive for an honest mistake.

Yelp
The atmosphere is always chill and inviting! A fun time, and SUCH GREAT STAFF. We came right when they opened, and everyone was so friendly and communicative about getting set up and getting their kitchen going. Later on, Sean, came to check on us and make sure we were happy!

Yelp
When the sun comes out all I ever want is a slushee cocktail! Drove past and noticed they had an n/a slushee as well as a Watermelon Margarita slushee! Which is always the right vibe for me! So good! Thank you Shawn and the lovely bartender for your hospitality and kindness!!
google avatar

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Ok I had it with their service. It seems like if you do not look POC, they serve every one before you. I waited 10 minutes today, they served 4 people who were there after me. I am done supporting this place. Not once, not twice, every Wednesday night the same thing. I tip at least 20% as well, so their loss.

Yelp
Great fish and chips, music and beer line up! Fun place to meet up to listen to music... or other big events like election night. Have a memory of being there the night I thought Hilary would win... place went from packed house to sad faces leaving before midnight.

Yelp

Yelp
This is a special, cozy, inviting pub with great musicians on Tuesday nights (7-9pm). Worth a visit even mid-week. It will make you feel peaceful, joyful, and not alone. Shout out to the bartender Sydney.

Yelp
Pre-Amble: Painfully aware of the virtue signaling that this might appear to be but isn't, I don't drink so my review is doesn't take into account probably the most critical part of the pub, the alcohol. I've come here for trivia a few times and it's a nice place. The inside isn't very large, but they have a large patio area that holds a lot of people. My reason for giving it 4 stars is although it's technically heated, it feels like the heat is very isolated and I think i've only sat at one table where I felt the heat. The staff is very friendly, and it's cool that they host trivia there. I ordered the Standard Burger the last time I was in, and it was pretty good, although it felt a little underwhelming for the price. I'll keep coming back to play trivia, but it's not a place I would seek out specifically.

Yelp
Great patio party last night. The chicken trips and salad were delicious! Happy Hour was in full swing. I did t get to stay for the band but the crowd was increasing as the hour approached they were starting. Great covered patio with super heaters. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I've driven by countless times, but never noticed them until today. The Fish & Chips were better than expected, a very good version actually. The coating wasn't overly snap crispy, but not too soft battered either. Fries were great, a runner-up to Belgian double fried style. A surprise winner was the New Belgian Agua Fresca, think McMennamins Ruby Red, but better. Service is a bit stoic, but polite. The only negative is you need to order drinks and food at the bar. I'm not a fan of this concept and actually didn't order a second beer because my lazy ass didn't want to get up. Had a server come to our table and asked they would have realized more revenue and he a bigger tip. Silly Portland trend.

Yelp
This place is great during the summer time or for large groups. Their patio is heated and covered. They have a a full bar and limited food menu. We had the chicken fingers and a burger. Unfortunately the food came out cold. There was a big group there so I assumed that was the reason. You can also have dogs on the patio!

Yelp
I've been meaning to throw this place under the bus for a few weeks. After get horrible second rate service somewhere else the other day, I remembered that I needed to call out my experience. I was on my bike and randomly stopped into the bar as I do when I'm out and about. The trouble started as soon as I sat down. Two bartenders, one doing absolutely nothing, one making drinks at a glacial pace. Neither could bother to greet me. The guy was just leaning back behind the bar, maybe looking at his phone. I looked down at the bar and wondered if they owned a bar towel. Hadn't been wiped down, should be wiped down constantly. I mean, it was bad. After the female bartender pretended to be friendly, she proceeded to take 10 minutes to make me a drink. Then asked me if it was good! It wasn't. I lied. Both bartenders made me feel unwelcome and I couldn't wait to get out of there and never come back. And I've been there a bunch of times before. And I'm exactly the kind of customer you want. I drink good liquor, I don't nurse one drink for two hours, and I tip good bartenders well. Granted, it's hard to find a good bartender in Portland or one who even understands their job (generating revenue for the bar and getting people to come back), but this was next level awful and unprofessional "bartending." There's nothing I like more than an on top of it bartender, even if they aren't super friendly. But to have bartenders who aren't friendly AND can't bartend? No thanks.

Yelp
Earnie was great! Love this spot. Great music good vibes. Will return. Thanks!! Love the selection of brews and tastes of brews.

Yelp
First time here, very cozy and Sarah is a kind and attentive bartender. Will definitely be back, thanks!!

Yelp
I was here with my husband the other night for trivia. I like that the trivia is on a heated patio and that vaccination cards are required to get in. You have to scan a QR card to get the menu and I was impressed by the fact that they had gluten free chicken fingers. They aren't the best ones I have had but they are good. The whisky barbecue sauce was great. I wish the fries were also gluten free though. They had about 30 beers on tao that were listed on a board over the bar, along with a few ciders and hard seltzer. The menu had a lot of great sounding cocktails, but I didn't try them on this visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Great event here on the heated, covered patio in December. The seating was rustic but appropriate for out large group of 30ish people. The service was friendly and helpful. I'm still thinking about the kale Caesar that some of my work buddies were fortunate enough to snag for lunch the following day. The sliders were fine--I ate the interiors and left the buns that probably tasted great (damn you, gluten gremlins). I appreciated the ease of access to drinks and food--we went to the bar, flashing our hand stamp to show which tab our drinks went to. The food was displayed in warmers and people helped themselves to plates, napkins, and, we'll, yummy bar food. I'll be back with my family.
google avatar

Ernie Q.

Yelp
Let's be honest, this place is the best, Jerry, the best! The staff is hella fucking awesome upon arrival and made to feel like we've known each other for years. Hard to keep a straight face when you have a killer vibe amplifying the place. The grub is just where you want it to be. Made with love and leaving you wanting more. Don't get me started on the venue. Or do, but buy me a drink and meet me on the dance floor cause the live music that happens every night gives the Alberta street a pulse. And what a pulse! Be there or be square. Unless you're in a love triangle then that's a different shape. Cheers to you, Alberta Street Pub!

Yelp
Came here for Burger Week 2018. What I really loved about this place was the friendly staff! They were super busy and they were all still smiling and helping people out left and right. It was refreshing to be hanging out in a Portland bar where people were just flat out nice. The burger was interesting. Good. Worth trying. Not my favorite Burger Week Burger I've ever had, but I liked it. I also liked that it came out relatively quickly for the amount of people they were dealing with on Monday of Burger Week. Saw that they have a lovely patio area outside. It was too busy for our group of four to find space out there, but I would really like to come back and enjoy that space with friends on a summer's evening.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
I came for Burger Week. Their burger was pretty tasty with a nice amount of heat from the jalapeños. I appreciated that they had a lot of good cilantro and pickled carrots on the burger. Their tap list was really wide ranging, and the bartenders were very knowledgeable. The service was fast, and the vibe was pretty relaxing. I would definitely check it out again in the future.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
So it took me eight months to get back here, which is odd because I have lived here in the northeast for over four months. Well time to rectify that. I came on a Monday night for geek trivia and a meetup group. As always, great beer. This time I ate, and I got a catfish Poboy sandwich and fries which I asked for well done. The catfish was tender, but could have been a little spicier. The remoulade was nice and the bread was crisp. The fries were perfect. In my last review, I made mention of a lovely bartender who made great beer selections for me. Believe it or not she was still there, running tables on this night, and remembered me from eight months ago. Great memory. Now I really need to go back. Enjoy.

Yelp
Sweet [bar] food. They completely remodeled the space, and I have to say they've got a rockin' patio. This is a great place for a party/get together. Nice beer selection, good ambiance, perfect mesh of little tables, outdoor seating, booths, bar, etc. They do have live music, but I wish the stage was a bit larger or the speakers were on separate risers. I was here to see my friend's band, and they had a hard time gettin' down with the small stage, but the acoustics weren't bad. Worth a note: the BLT is a winner. Sincerely, Bacon Snob.

Noah S.

Yelp
Super cool place to eat and chill on these wonderful sunny days! Great outdoor space and such a cool vibe. Definitely a place to hit up if you're looking for good drinks and food and a good time!

Yelp
VERY SOLID PLACE Got new owners some years ago- and they inherited the bad review :/ The owners sincerely want you to be happy. Caring organization from top to bottom. And the venue is legit!!!! Coolest venue of its size in town. Exceptional sound system. Very, very dope little spot.
google avatar

Stephen K.

Yelp
I attended "The Venue" at Alberta Street Pub to see my favorite local band. The venue was quite nice! Excellent-sounding PA, adequate space and seating, and a high-enough well-lit stage. It is a bit tough to find as it is inside of Alberta Street pub, and has its own entrance doors, but once you find it, it is a good spot for taking in a show.
google avatar

Ziyan C.

Yelp
We saw a really good live show in the back room. It does get hot there, especially since my friends and I were dancing! Luckily between shows, they propped open the fire exit door (which lead out to the patio anyway) since I'm sure the performers were really overheated as well. Overall a fun place, plenty of space. We got there at 8pm on a Friday and were able to get a nice corner booth for our group before heading over to the performance. It definitely became more lively throughout the evening but never got too crowded. * Diablo (tequila, mezcal, cassis, lime, ginger beer. $7) - 3 stars pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/alberta-street-pub-portland?select=1yFpBWb5GMYmi2c1abQBSg#FJL_F-4VwHfDBi-e-UoVqQ This wasn't too well balanced - it was definitely smoky from the mezcal, but that was about all I could taste. I couldn't taste much at all of the lime or ginger beer. Overall a bit strong for me. Yelp
We did the Burger Week experience last night! Peach Bacon Juicy Lucy! Showed up around 6:30-6:45. We got our food at maybe 8? 8:15? We chatted easily in the line, people were in good spirits. At the bar, you order and pay. Then you get a number and sit and wait. Water is available from a spigot in the garden, self-serve. The bathrooms were a fight. They were putting the Olympics on the projector screen when we were leaving. We did ask about what the process was if we wanted another beer (ie do we need to wait in the colossal line for a drink?) and the cashier said no way, just pop up to the bar and grab another drink. The burger itself was SO AMAZING and I do not use that word lightly. I never like char on my burger. I don't like my toast black or even brown, I like it a warm tan. This burger was charred, stuffed with mozzarella and topped with caramelized, soft peaches and well-cooked bacon, not crispy slivers and not fatty blobs, just right. The basket didn't come with fries or anything but the burger was standard size and filled me up. We each had a Peppercorn Saison from Pfreim. Pfriem? Sipped the beer slowly waiting for the food. The joint was jumping but the staff seemed focused (3 people behind the bar) and the crowd seemed jubilant and festive. Didn't see any tantrums or party fouls. When the food arrived, we were definitely ready to eat. The cheesy inside was so stretchy and warm and creamy. Man, oh man. The peach wasn't super overpowering, I might have thought it was tomato if I wasn't paying attention. Bun was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. That was a great burger. I'd go back for this patio, their waffle fries and the REUBEN EGG ROLLS (??). Sweet joint, competent staff, fun experience.
google avatar

Joe Y.

Yelp
Nice pub with a good music venue attached. It was a bit difficult to get around they are not to ADA friendly. The patio was large and the restrooms were clean.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
My friends and I came here to try the peach caprese juicy lucy. To begin, we ordered some house fries and they were okay. They were kind of soggy but something about the seasoning of the fries made it okay to eat. We didn't wait too long for our food because we came when it was not too busy. The burgers were amazing. I was expecting to be disappointed by it because I thought peach being in a burger would be weird. But I was wrong. Our other friend ordered the black bean burger and it was also good. It was crunchy on the edges but a little mushy in the middle. I've never had a black bean burger before but after trying out that burger, I wouldn't object to it. My overal experience here was great. The service was great. We liked our server. And the food was great!
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
We stopped in the pub celebrating an engagement and a big birthday. While one of the bartenders was lovely, one bartender suggested we were not able to have a drink - and that in fact we should also not have a shot to celebrate. Appreciate the lack of courteous service. Big mistake. Huge.

Yelp
Let's get down to it. I came here for the first time to see Freedy Johnston and what a great little pub this is. The food was better than I expected and they have a pretty good tap list. And their pricing is fair so I felt that the place was a value. There's a lot of different bars on Alberta but I like that this place was chill, had good food, and so even if there is no show, I may make this my go to.
google avatar

Cambrae C.

Yelp
Chill bar, pretty typical Alberta "nouveau portland" feel. Wood walls, chalkboard menus. Food was good I had the special, buffalo black bean burger $12, came with fries but I paid $2 more to get a salad. Drink was good, had a margarita $8. They have a nice patio outback, it's pretty large. Same bar but in the next room is a stage with high tables, I would guess they do karaoke. But tonight they had a free drag show going on.
google avatar

Robert H.

Yelp
I have been to the old Alberta Street Pub. It was the hangout for neighbor friends and musicians I know. And I have to say "wow, yes" to the new updated Albert Street Pub. They have a well curated list of about 20 micro taps that rotate. The food is mid-priced for a pub, quality and well designed. The service was fine with a large staff covering two areas by the main bar, the side room and the patio. The staff was helpful and customer-oriented. This is intended to be a long lasting review, and not of a single dish. But I have to say that the Alberta Street Pub chanterelle cream sauce on a special event burger hits the ball out of the park! Chanterelles are not a strong flavored mushroom. They have a mild woody flavor that pairs well with butter and nutmeg. Alberta Street Pub brought out the subtle sweetness of the 'shroom, not overcooked - leaving it crunchy, and it paired awesomely with the sourish unami of an elk meat burger. The Alberta Street Pub joins several lovely spots on the street with tasty foods at reasonable prices where it's oh so comfortable to engage in the best of conversations with friends old and new.

Yelp
I'm in Portland. I want beer. Those two thoughts kept running through my brain. So many options. Where does one start?? We had stopped by GCG across the street when we started searching for option. Lo & behold we discovered we were sitting across from a pub. After finishing our grub, we sauntered across the street, in the door, and up to the bar. Shaun was keeping bar this particular afternoon. So we asked him whats up and he pointed our gaze to the chalkboard. So many choices...how do you choose just one? We didn't. We chose a flight!! Shaun was very knowledgeable of all the beers they had on tap. And provided great leads when we pondered our dinner options. Yes, we had just finished eating mere minutes ago, but in the process of drinking four heavy beers, I knew I would want food later. ASP may look very unassuming from the outside, but this little neighborhood gem has a lot going on behind its big dark door.

Yelp
I come here with friends to play trivia. The good: drinks are strong, food is decent, staff is nice, they have great outdoor heaters on the patio (where the trivia is), and they have trivia! The not so great: the service is slooooooow and it's kinda spendy. So in the end it comes out to just being sort of average.

Yelp
I'm impressed - this place has really turned around from the dingy dive bar (which was still enjoyable) it used to be. Now dinner can really be DINNER, and doesn't have to include fries. I had the pesto crusted cod over cheddar polenta - and it was wonderful! Surprisingly wonderful. I almost ordered fish and chips, and I'm pleasantly surprised I didn't - there's real food here folks, give it a go. I also had a Moscow Mule (ok well three), and I'm apparently the only one in Portland who didn't know it's supposed to be served in a copper mug. Beware, if this is your poison, they will collect a credit card from you as deposit because apparently there are some dirtbags out there who want to steal them. I wasn't deterred, and the drink was wonderful. Service was great, and unexpectedly so because when the bar side is packed, all the tables full and 1-2 servers - you might expect some attitude, and the only attitude I got was the feeling that they were happy I was there and were glad to serve me great food/drinks and hospitality.

Yelp
Been going here for years, but the new owners have made this a favorite for me. Taps are better, food is better. Fantastic patio!

I got taken here for a hot-totty but I'd already had 2 drinks down the street and just went for basic coffee. It was strong and tasted like it'd been on the burner a while. However; my friend let me try her hot -totty and it was very good. It hadn't come with whipped cream so she inquired as to why not. Turns out they make it from scratch and had just been too busy just then. My friend was okay with that...but 5 minutes later our server came out with a batch - made special just for us. The friends who brought me says their happy hour fish and chips are amazing, but since we'd just eaten elsewhere, we just had cocktails. As we were leaving, a live music show was starting up. For $5 it would have been worth staying for, if I didn't have other things going on that evening. According to my friend, who is a regular (but isn't on YELP) this is her favorite place on Alberta to come and just chill out. I guess it's her "Cheers". She's from New York and is very particular about restaurants, so saying that this is her regular watering hole is a very big deal.

Yelp
We were staying at an AirBnb rental in this neighborhood and wanted to explore more of this quaint and artsy hood by foot. My husband also wanted to dine somewhere that had Monday Night Football on, so we were very specific on where to eat for dinner on this particular night. I'm usually the one that researches where we should dine, but I left it to him to do his homework if he wanted to watch football during our dinner. Alberta Street Pub was a great find for us. He had the burger & fries and I tried the fish & chips. For whatever reason, our server forgot to place my order for the fish & chips, so there was a ten minute delay in getting my food after my husband got his burger. She felt super bad about it and ended up getting our first round of drinks on her, so that was a nice save on her part. We happened to be there during Trivia Night going on in the other room. Once that ended, the bar area overflowed with other patrons fueling up on beer and cocktails. If anything, we were annoyed with the 6'5" giant that decided to stand right in front of us as we were trying to watch the game on TV. Get a clue bud and have some courtesy when it's obvious other people around you are trying to watch the game. Overall the food was good, I enjoyed my fish & chips once I got it, but it was too much food for me to devour on my own. The food is above average for a bar so that was a good thing! Friendly service, welcoming ambiance and good food, yep, it's worth checking out if you're in the Alberta Arts District neighborhood.

Yelp
Music venue was great! The food and drinks were good. Decent tap list and courteous service. I had the fish and chips and the chips were tasty and well cooked. My fish was overcooked and rubbery texture. I hadn't been back to Alberta Street Pub since the remodel. I love the new music room! I usually feel overwhelmed in small spaces with amplified instruments but this room is great! The music room space felt intimate and yet I wasn't bombarded with aural stimuli. The performers were highlighted and the space worked well. I will definitely be back again!
