FTC Wants to Block the $24.6 Billion Deal Which Would Combine Jewel and Mariano’s | Eater Chicago

"As the parent company of a long-standing Chicago-area grocery chain, this company is at the center of a proposed $24.6 billion merger that would combine its assets with another major grocer to create an entity with roughly 5,000 stores and about 13% of the U.S. grocery market. Regulators and state attorneys general argue the deal would reduce competition, raise prices for shoppers, and put downward pressure on grocery workers’ wages and benefits. Company representatives counter that the merger would help neighborhood supermarkets compete with larger multi-channel retailers, lower prices, protect union jobs, increase associate wages, and improve the customer experience, and they have expressed disappointment with the FTC’s legal challenge while preparing to present their case in court." - Ashok Selvam

Easy check in sign in at guard shack. Dock doors are right at the first stop sign easy to get into doors put bills in back of trailer lumper fee capstone. Have port a potty if need to use. If you park at Petro on I55 it's only an hour drive smooth driving if you have early delivery Oh when coming here make left turn on George Street then make another left on Armitage Ave straight shot

Parking on the street in a $750 fine. The security guard didn’t inform me when i try to check in at 3 a.m., and I ended up with a $750 ticket. I went to court, but the judge wouldn’t even hear me out. Please avoid this place.

Do what I do if have a reefer. Wait one hour. After one hr shut the reefer off. I just did that at sysco and they got me unloaded. I give 2 hrs thats it. Or I tell broker I need more money. The company dont like it that I say what I want.

Avoid negative reviews trust me guys check in pretty cool. I have an appointment at 4:30 but I checked in at 3 AM. Yes they take little bit long to unload overall good experience. Reminder 🚨 don’t park on street if you don’t want the ticket.

Albertsons is jewel osco. For the delivery address your GPS will probably take you to the South entrance, which is only for their drivers. From the gate on North avenue you go east to George Street then go North to armitage and make a left, the gate will be right in front of you when you approach the train tracks. You checking on your phone then the girl will come out and hand you a folder and tell you to go to the bullpen which is on site. I showed up at my delivery time so as soon as I entered the bullpen I was giving the door, now let's see how long I sit here waiting to unload. This place is in the middle of the ghetto, so I'm sure you know what kind of people to expect at the security booth. When I tried to ask a question about where the dock was located she seemed very annoyed and just told me to make a left at the stop sign. On Google maps it is labeled as Jewel OTR East truck entrance. Once you're at the door throw your paperwork in the back and once you have the green light you are good to go, there's no check in at the dock, lumper paid online. Unload took about 2 hrs once at the door.

From North avenue enter in off of George or 15th Street. 17th Street is not a truck route check-in process is easier now they have a guard at the guard shack at the East entrance they don't do that stupid check in with the QR code anymore
