Michael Rafidi Reveals Plans For His First Restaurant Since Leaving Isabella | Eater DC

"Planned to open in Navy Yard next summer, this Middle Eastern restaurant will be fueled by a charcoal- and wood-burning hearth; its menu will draw on Rafidi’s family traditions from Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine, and Rafidi will collaborate with sommelier Brent Kroll (who will open a second Maxwell location next door) to realize the project. Albi, which means "my heart" in Arabic, is being built around timeless hearth cooking." - Gabe Hiatt

Finally, Authentic tasting Lebanese food! I ordered the Chicken Tawouk platter and it tasted as if I were at a restaurant in Beirut watching the sunset, especially with the amazing Lebanese garlic sauce. Their sfouf dessert was also great. Highly recommend trying the food here!

One of our favorite places in SF! The food is so flavorful and well-cooked. We ordered the meat platter and it arrived at our house so perfectly juicy and still warm enough to eat but the owner had kindly included detailed reheating instructions in case it wasn’t. I’ve told all of our friends! So happy we found this spot!

This was my first time to try this place, and I was not disappointed! I had been looking for a Lebanese restaurant since I moved to SF. Found it! And it’s so delicious😋 The owner, Vanessa greeted me with my order🙂 So polite and grateful! I will be returning and definitely recommend!
