"Opened in North Portland in 2004 during the rise of the third-wave coffee movement, Albina Press became a neighborhood standby with a limited digital presence and a reputation for responsible sourcing and meticulous barista work; it developed national buzz—from New York Times name-drops to coffee competition medals—expanded to locations in Vancouver and Hawthorne, and operated under Kevin Fuller for 16 years, during which several prominent Oregon baristas (including Billy Wilson and Matt Higgins) worked there.
