This is a place that you come for the views, which are really nice, but the atmosphere and wines are just not up to it compared to other locations in the area. And avoid the food at all costs.
We visited on a Saturday, and it was brimming with crowds of loud bachelorette parties. I can't really blame the winery for this, but they were loud and annoying, and it was facilitated by some equally loud and annoying man with a cowboy hat and booming voice that appeared to be working for the winery. (It was NOT Snoopy, who is definitely a gem in this place.) Sure, it's nice to make those ladies feel special, but we'd like to be able to chill, too.
I did a glass because I had done a tasting here before and knew there weren't a ton of wines I liked. My friends each did tastings, and we learned that this place is the stingiest of the area wineries with their wines. In addition to the smallest pours anywhere we went, this was the only place where my friend specifically said she didn't like a particular wine (moscato) and they didn't offer to give her something else instead. She ended up throwing her last taste out, whereas anywhere else would have said, "Don't like it? Here's something else." (And she tried her best to explain she would not like the moscato up front.)
The food was really the worst part, though. Everything was premade and not very good. We finished none of it. The pizza was the most disappointing. It was $18 and one person noted that it looked like a frozen pizza from Walmart that was reheated in a toaster oven. I remember some Instagrammer talking about how she'd drive up there just for the pizza, and they must have paid her a hefty sum to say that. The bruschetta was also amusing because the tomato and cheese was not even on the bread. It was just sort of sitting there next to it. And the hummus we could not even finish. We tried enough food to know all of it was bad.
I do give it one extra star for the hayride I took with Snoopy when I visited with my folks last year. I liked that they did free tours and told us about the area.
I think if you came on a quiet day where there weren't 14 gaggles of screaming girls, the atmosphere would be nice (it was quieter my first visit), but that alone can't make up for the stingy pours, average wines, and absolutely abysmal foods.
