My husband booked us the water to wine trip as a 20th anniversary gift. I knew the cost beforehand, but I let him take charge of planning things. Little did I know that you would only get a $20 voucher at the winery after paying $360 to kayak for 1.5 hours. Basically, you are paying $320 for 2 people for 2 inflatable kayaks. Not worth the price! The employees at the kayak area were fabulous, but the ladies at the winery weren't the nicest. You can't get much off their menu for their $20 voucher. They would only be getting 1 star if it wasn't for our fabulous driver!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alcantara Winery – A Must-Visit in Arizona! Alcantara Winery is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning vineyard views and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The tour was fantastic—informative, engaging, and gave us a real appreciation for the winemaking process. It’s clear that a lot of passion and care go into every bottle. The wine I tasted was top-notch! Each pour was unique and flavorful, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, offering great recommendations based on preferences. The setting itself is so peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy some truly incredible wine. If you’re anywhere near the Sedona area, Alcantara Winery is a must-visit. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just looking for a beautiful spot to unwind, this place has it all. We will absolutely be back! 🍷✨

Did the kayak paddle and wine deal. Amazing! I only got a snack but it was really delicious. Windy so avoid the umbrellas if you're outside 😀

We got married at Alcantara in early November of this year. First and foremost Annie is an incredible venue coordinator. She was there every step of the way. She was fun and awesome to work with and made our day very special. Some major bonuses for getting married at Alcantara are the beauty as a venue, the management of the bar on the wedding day, and the flexibility with how you can decorate/and make the space fit any vision you can think of. One thing to consider is that it's an outdoor venue, so plan according to the seasons. We got lucky! There was some wind and a little chill during the day, but the week before, the weather was hot and in the 90s! The other thing is there is no kitchen, so make sure your caterer can keep the food warm, and consider that when scoping for food options. All in all we had a really beautiful day. Highly recommend the venue and especially Annie.

Google
It's a beautiful location by Oak Creek and Verde River. Great wine and great food menu. Lots to do there- jeep rides, horseback rides, and kayaking. They have live music on weekends by their beautiful outside patio area. Also a good place for your wedding.

Here is a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful setting, have some great bites to eat and try refreshing local wines. In addition there is outstanding music on weekends on their outside grassy venue. If you enjoy yoga, paddleboarding or horseback riding they offer these as well. A visit will proved an amazing unforgettable time.

Ecellent happy vineyard with a nice garden. It has also a gift shop. We tried 4 wine tastings. I found pretty well, plain, light and tasty. A must place to see by the Verde river.

My husband and I got married here a couple of weeks ago, and Alcantara could not have been more perfect for our big day. We had toured a couple other wedding venues, and for what we were looking for everything was overpriced and not what we envisioned. I grew up new Cottonwood, had never been to this vineyard before, and just on the off chance emailed Annie the manager there. We got in on our wedding date, with affordable pricing for the absolute beauty that this venue is. To add to the fact that this venues natural beauty is already great, the wedding manager Annie is the best! I could not have imaged having to work with anyone else except for her. She literally goes above and beyond for her couples. Annie was always quick to respond, and never got annoyed with me emailing her with my plethora of questions. You can tell she has been doing this for a very long time, because she brings her knowledge to the table throughout the process all the way to end of your event. Even helps a bride hold her dress when she needs to pee! I could gush so much more about her. All in all, amazing venue, beautiful views, great wine, sunsets, and awesome staff!!

Yelp
Took a day trip to this winery from Phoenix and it was amazing. We started with the horseback ride and it was a great way to start the day, the tour guide was so helpful when it came to how to control our horse and how to ride safely. Coming from someone who has not ridden a horse in probably 10 years I would recommend this trail ride to anyone! Following our horseback riding adventure we stopped at the winery for some tasting flights and a cheeseboard, just what we needed after our trail ride in the sun. The winery had an amazing outside lawn with picnic tables and live music perfect place to hang out with family and friends.

Yelp
We stopped at this winery before arriving in Sedona. They had a decent food menu and wine selection. It's a very small place inside but the grounds have horseback riding, kayaking, and jeep tours. Super cute place and the wine is decent. It's nothing to write home about, but not bad and better than expected. The people were super nice and helpful and they have someone playing live music indoors which was great. It was a nice little stop before hitting Sedona

Yelp
I came here this past Sunday...just to get away from Phoenix for a minute. This spot was suggested due to the ability to do wine tasting and have some pizza.. All while overlooking the vineyard and leisurely catching up on a good book! I went by myself and thoroughly enjoyed every second! The ladies inside pouring the wine were super fantastic- they gave great explanations and suggestions. While you can definitely enjoy the wine tastings- you NEED to grab something to eat if you're the one driving! They have just what you need- hearty sandwiches and hot pizzas! An added plus was the guy outside playing the guitar and singing some of my favorite oldies! WINNING! If you ever need to take some time for yourself, stop here for food, wine!

Yelp
Yesterday the family and I stopped by Alcantara Vineyards and Winery which was the first of two wineries we visited. I'm going to be BRUTALLY honest here and say that I do not understand where the four and five star ratings form my fellow Yelpers came from. The Mrs. and I have been to A LOT of wineries all over California and even in Arizona. Alcantara was the worst winery we have ever been to. One of the things that jumped out at me right away, and some of my fellow Yelpers have brought this up, is that none of the people at the tasting bar explain the wines to you. They just pour. There is also only one tasting bar and there is no table service. I can only imagine how long the line would be on busier days. A tasting is $20 dollars for four 1.5 oz pours and you can keep the dirty glass they give you(No thank you). The Mrs. did a tasting and I chose the wines for her. Those wines were the 2022 Mesa Blanca, 2022 Riesling Dry CCV, 2021 Cab Franc, and the 2021 Confluence which is their red blend. I decided to listen to my gut and just get a glass of the 2020 Zinfandel. Just because I had a feeling about the quality of the wine. All of the wines tasted like cough medicine. I can only describe them as syrupy.....and that's being nice. Most of the wines are priced north of $30 and are probably worth $5 to $10 at the most. The Zinfandel I had was $42.95 a bottle. Hard pass. Also, I love Cab Franc and know it well. Whatever Alcantara is attempting to pass on as a Cab Franc is an abomination and disrespectful to the grape. Some of my fellow Yelpers wrote how beautiful the grounds were. They must have been looking thought the bottom of their dirty glass in a wine haze. The grounds weren't that beautiful. Yes, Alcantara is located in the desert and you can only do so much, but I just felt like I was drinking in someones back yard that was full of junk. Alcantara strikes me as the winery you go to if you don't care about wine or the quality associated with it. The winery you end your day with because your palate is blown and you just don't care after visiting three other wineries. The winery that every bachelorette party begins and ends at so the party doesn't have to stop until he puts a ring on it. All winemakers have their own philosophy and vision for their wines. Many of them are geniuses who's egos are easily bruised. They treat their wines with respect and love as if each vintage were their own child that they raise and send out into the world. I got none of that from Alcantara's wines. There seems to be no quality control both in and outside of the bottle. The only positive thing was the winery cats.

Yelp
Stop in as our horse back riding excursion was canceled due to rain. A cute small vineyard. We did the red tasting sets and ordered the pizza. The wine tasted nothing like California wines. Unfortunately they just pour it and handed to us in these small shot glasses, along with a small wine glass to pour each shot in. There were no explanations of what you will be tasting and what to pair it with etc. it was a gloomy day so there were nothing else spectacular to review. Overall, our two orders of reds and pizza was about $80. Good spot to kill a couple hours.

Yelp
We went in January so not a lot of green but great views. Staff was amazing and if you buy a flight you get a free glass, they also had food for purchase. I would definitely go back and would encourage others to go.
google avatar

Chloe G.

Yelp
The lovely and relaxed setting keeps this review at four stars. Otherwise, it would have been a solid 3. Typically when you do a wine tasting at a vineyard, they want to tell you about their wines, what makes their wine special, why you should want to buy it. Here, they pour all the wines you choose into tasting glasses and you go out to your seat and drink them. The end. No explanation, nothing. The wines were fine, nothing jumped out at me, so I had no incentive to buy any to take with me. Maybe there was something good I missed, but since no one from the winery was talking to me, asking what I thought, what I liked & didn't like, they had no way of suggesting other wines.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Everything was mostly fine but we, and other customers, seemed to annoy one of the women working -- she was short with us, impatient and admonished us and others for not knowing where everything was and how ordering worked. We almost left since we seemed to put her out so much for asking crazy questions -- like can we have water, do we also order food at the wine bar (since she had just told us the hot food menus were on the tables -- wine and cold food menus were at the wine bar). We saw her snap at another customer for asking where the water was -- her response was short of, "right behind you, idiot." The other woman working was fine, but the older woman with brown hair is losing business for you.

Yelp
We got the Sexy Time white wine, a meat and cheese plate and a gf veggie pizza. The wine was delicious and the food was excellent. The atmosphere here is the also awesome. There is small inside venue but the beauty here is sitting outside enjoying the vineyard or moseying down to the Verde river (on the premises) with a glass of wine on in your hand. They also have live music which is mellow so you can enjoy the atmosphere and have a conversation with your party without being blown out by loud music.
google avatar

Chanele R.

Yelp
This is a place that you come for the views, which are really nice, but the atmosphere and wines are just not up to it compared to other locations in the area. And avoid the food at all costs. We visited on a Saturday, and it was brimming with crowds of loud bachelorette parties. I can't really blame the winery for this, but they were loud and annoying, and it was facilitated by some equally loud and annoying man with a cowboy hat and booming voice that appeared to be working for the winery. (It was NOT Snoopy, who is definitely a gem in this place.) Sure, it's nice to make those ladies feel special, but we'd like to be able to chill, too. I did a glass because I had done a tasting here before and knew there weren't a ton of wines I liked. My friends each did tastings, and we learned that this place is the stingiest of the area wineries with their wines. In addition to the smallest pours anywhere we went, this was the only place where my friend specifically said she didn't like a particular wine (moscato) and they didn't offer to give her something else instead. She ended up throwing her last taste out, whereas anywhere else would have said, "Don't like it? Here's something else." (And she tried her best to explain she would not like the moscato up front.) The food was really the worst part, though. Everything was premade and not very good. We finished none of it. The pizza was the most disappointing. It was $18 and one person noted that it looked like a frozen pizza from Walmart that was reheated in a toaster oven. I remember some Instagrammer talking about how she'd drive up there just for the pizza, and they must have paid her a hefty sum to say that. The bruschetta was also amusing because the tomato and cheese was not even on the bread. It was just sort of sitting there next to it. And the hummus we could not even finish. We tried enough food to know all of it was bad. I do give it one extra star for the hayride I took with Snoopy when I visited with my folks last year. I liked that they did free tours and told us about the area. I think if you came on a quiet day where there weren't 14 gaggles of screaming girls, the atmosphere would be nice (it was quieter my first visit), but that alone can't make up for the stingy pours, average wines, and absolutely abysmal foods.

Yelp
Good wine and pizza. Must remind several times of discounts for thousand trails. BLT had fake bacon and was cold, very disappointing. Had great music and friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating if weather cooperates. Would go again for pizza and wine.

Yelp
Great customer service great food and excellent wine highly recommend made our bad day 100x better day!!!! Live music and seating was wonderful as well. Please come here instead of TikTok fancy places!!!!

Fern A.

Yelp
The experience was good. Not your typical way to wine taste. When ordering they provide the entire flight at once on paddle boards with individual slots for each wine. Once you get your wine you take it with you and sit anywhere there is sitting available outside. You have a sheet of paper that describes each wine. There are 3 flights to choose from. Overall wine was just ok but scenery was gorgeous.

Yelp
We got married here one year ago and today visited to celebrate, walked in and Annie the venue coordinator remembered us, this will always be a special place for us. Not only is the wine amazing so is the food! The ambiance and venue is so beautiful!
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
This is a very nice facility with both indoor and outdoor seating for wine tasting and food. There is even DAILY live entertainment. We tried two different flights, one of red wines and one a "roll your own" option. Both were reasonably priced, and one of them included the souvenir glass. All the wines were well made. We were particularly impressed with the Chardonnay, the best I've had from Arizona.
google avatar

Yelp
Spent a relaxing afternoon drinking wine and snacking on hummus, bread, and cheese. The weather was really nice, so we sat at one of the many tables they have outside. They don't have table service; you have to go up to the outdoor or indoor bar to order and receive food and drinks. The next time I come here, I'll probably get a glass of wine instead of a wine flight because with the wine flight you have to keep getting up to stand in line at the bar to get your next pour......it made for a lot of getting up and down which took away from the relaxation a bit. If you like live music, there was a lady singing outside. She was good and it wasn't too loud. There was also a lady reading tarot cards. I had heard there were a lot of cats on the property (I love cats). We saw three cats, but only one was friendly. You can walk through the vineyard (see pics) which we did since it was such a nice day.
google avatar

Libby B.

Yelp
Cute little vineyard, unfortunately we weren't in the right season to see grapes on the vines. There's an indoor and outdoor bar you can order from. We went to the outdoor bar since the weather was nice and bartender was nice. There was some live music getting ready to set up. I wish the flights were given all at the same time instead of glass by glass so you didn't have to go to the bar each time. I did the white flight which was good but the tasting was only about 2 sips which I feel was a little short. The wines were really good. My friends got the red flight which they enjoyed. There are 2 outdoor cats that roam around which did not go well with one of our friends who is highly afraid haha. They don't bother you though. There's a wedding chapel further back you can go explore but we didn't have time on our wine tour.

Denise C.

Yelp
I drove about an hour to get to this vineyard. I decided to stop in since it was the first on the wine trail. I arrived on Thursday, April 4th about 2:00 p.m. The women who was behind the counter pouring for the tastings, was extremely rude. She did not greet us and had no smile what so ever. I guess she hates her job. There was no one else at the counter so she wasn't busy. I asked a question about the tastings and she had a snappy answer and then walked away. We just left. So if you are planning on wine tasting, skip this place and go somewhere that wants customers and enjoy your time somewhere that's friendly and inviting.

Yelp
***The app is glitching and keeps moving my sentences around. Have fun reading and putting this experience together**** So disappointed with this place. I know it's not Solvang, Temecula or Ojai wine taste testing but the description of the food is FALSE ADVERTISING. This isn't a mini mart or I at least expected better than that. The food is probably high school cafeteria equivalent. It doesn't look as described nor does it look appealing. The "caprese flat bread" was pita bread cut up with some cherry tomatoes and some mozzarella balls drizzled with balsamic. That is NOT what a FLAT BREAD is. The salad was pre-made and given to us with clear wrap on it. The "charcuterie board" was inedible. The cheese was hard and dry. The "prosciutto" was dry and very dull looking. No way were we going to test food poisoning. The sandwiches were made in the kitchen and brought to us by 2 ppl. They weren't sure what they were carrying and had to visually inspect the food. This was so disturbing to watch. The gentleman held the plate under his nose to "look" at them but also was speaking right on the sandwiches. HARD PASS! Not to mention there no one at the door to greet you and give you the lay of the land. We walked in and a server passed us with food. That's fine. She was busy. But she made a bee line straight back to the kitchen without looking at us. And stayed there. We walked out to the back found a table. No one came to greet us, offer us a menu or again, give us the lay of the land. Sad that the only ppl that noticed us was the band. We finally went up to the outdoor bar and asked "What's going on here? Are you even open?" That's when things got worst as the food arrived. We had a great time on the river and they recommended this place. Sadly, the great experience we had with them did not carry over to this location. I wanted to give you all a 2 but being nice isn't going to give you the motivation to DO BETTER. CUSTOMER SERVICE goes a very long way. Good luck to you.
google avatar

Yelp
The wines were average. Employees were nice and friendly, but certainly not going out of their way. Decor was odd and randomly put together. I truly got the vibe that this place just needs some TLC both in design and service. We did not try the food.... After reading previous reviews I wouldn't go near it. Not a place I regret but certainly would not return or refer a friend.

Yelp
Let's start out with the positives. Beautiful vineyard with a desert setting. Great outdoor area and plenty of seating. Live music was definitely a plus. Staff was incredibly condescending and not open to explaining wine options. Which is surprising since it's a winery that offers tastings. Interacted with 3 employees total, two of them had a miserable attitude. Almost seemed like being there was a chore. Also seemed very confused and unorganized when trying to pay the bill. Food was subpar and overpriced. 11" veggie pizza was burnt and greasy for $18.95. Our 3 wine glasses were dirty. Photos can speak for themselves. It's too bad. Was looking forward to visiting.
google avatar

Mandy T.

Yelp
We came here for a tasting Friday and the band was just packing up to leave unfortunately. The grounds are beautiful and I can't wait to come back for a glass of wine and sit outside with live music when it cools down. The only wine I liked was the 2018 Mourvedre. It started great but I wasn't sure about how it finishes on my tongue which is why I didn't get a bottle. I will have to try a glass of it next time. I recommend asking for Janine if she is in. She was very friendly and informative especially about events like floating down the river with the winemaker.
google avatar

Trice O.

Yelp
Overall meh, I'm curious to know if other raters have been wine tasting before....considering their high ratings. The price is 2 for 1, which is 5 tastings for $20 but due to the deal, 10 tastings for $20...which seemed like the deal of the century. Well this winery requires you to walk back and forth for tastings. And they don't appear to have sommeliers or even mildly knowledgeable wine pourers. Their customer service wasn't the most welcoming. Lastly their credit card machine wasn't working at either outdoor bars so the staff kept telling us to pay inside. Once inside, the staff kept telling us to pay outside . After someone decided to listen to me about the broken card machines, they finally allowed us to pay indoors. Lastly, their wine selection wasn't tasty. Consider going to Old Creek Winery instead.

Tatum M.

Yelp
Delicious flat bread style pizza & brushetta! Wine was amazing and reasonably priced. Recommend the incredible moscato (just under $30/ bottle pre-tax). Did this as part of the river & wine tour (combo includes the self guided Verde Adventure kayak tour & comes with $20/ person voucher at the winery).
google avatar

North S.

Yelp
The wife and I have been coming here for about 5 years. We have watched it grow over the years. They have a nice selection of wine and three different port wine now. They serve food and music entertainment. They also have wine tours that come to their winery and horse back riding from another company near bye. They also do weddings and I think party's ? It's a must try place. No pics of food this time. We were starving and ate before taking a pic. Lol
google avatar

Brekka L.

Yelp
All I can say is "what was that?!". So, might as well go to a bar and get the same experience. I totally could have walked out Nd not paid a thing. Very disorganized. You must go up to a bar and order everything and anything. They never opened a tab for me and then berated me for it at the end. I didn't know? Sorry that you were disorganized? Wines are mediocre at best. The whole experienced stunk. Was not impressed. The only good thing is they have plenty of outdoor seating.

Morgan S.

Yelp
We got married here it was such an amazing experience. Annie was a dream to work with and made our special day flawless! Thank you

Susan P.

Yelp
We visited this past week and sat outside to enjoy the lovely scenery, the perfect weather, and a talented singer/guitarist. We each ordered a tasting flight of red wines--all were fine, but not outstanding. Each flight cost $20 and included a signature stemless wine glass. I would MUCH rather pay less for the tasting--I have no desire to take glasses home with me.
google avatar

Sue W.

Yelp
Beautiful setting nestled down in a small valley by the river ... and right by a Thousand Trails RV park if you happen to be parked there. Lots of outdoor seating with a few tables inside. There was a guy playing music on a Tuesday afternoon. As others have mentioned, it's all very impersonal. When you arrive, they reel off the spiel (in a pretty bored manner) of the tastings available as well as food options. They give you the wine and an information sheet and off you go to find a place to sit. There is no interaction other than that. We shared a $20 VIP flight which consisted of 4 very small tastes of various red wines. Most expensive tasting yet for so little in return. We would have been better off to risk buying one of the less expensive bottles of wine and enjoying the afternoon. The wines were nothing special - particularly not for $45 plus a bottle.
google avatar

Angela Z.

Yelp
Very friendly staff with good wine. The pizza is delicious and you have to get the flourless chocolate cake.

Jerry-Arizona H.

Yelp
Very unimpressed and would not go back here again. Food - If you're just looking for appetizers then you'll be happy. We ordered some and weren't that impressed. We were also disappointed in the wines. Not very complex and the selection wasn't great. They really need to upgrade their menu. Service - When you first walk in it is really confusing where to order. It's as if they are competing to get customers to place an order upstairs instead of in back on the lawn. Ambiance - This probably has the best thing going for it. On a nice day, sitting out back, the view is pretty incredible. You're overlooking the valley and they have live music.

Yelp
Very good wine across the board on the red, a bit of meh on the whites. The grounds are fantastic, lots of outdoor seating with nice views. I was on a wine tour of 4 wineries and the Cab Franc at Alcantara is the best wine I had all day. I liked most of the reds here, the Cab Sauv was great as well. There was a blend I really liked that I don't remember the name of as well! Syrahs were okay. Chardonnay was good, rest of the whites weren't though. Shame on everyone complaining about food, credit card readers not working, and the rest of the babyback bs below. Grow the eff up people! Come here and have some fun!

Amy C.

Yelp
The wine is pretty bad. We had a lot of fun doing the kayaking here but I don't recommend the wine here. Our bread plate had frozen bread and it was so cold. Don't recommend
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
Such a great experience with great vibes and great wine! Highly recommend! Verde River shore is just a walk down the vineyard and the live music was fantastic.

Yelp
My friends and I were visiting the area from out of state and looked for a winery to check out. We picked this one unfortunately. We walked in at 5 pm (their website and answering machine says they are open til 6 in the spring). The person pouring the wine showed zero interest in us and just poured the tasting as quickly as possible. We even asked for an explanation of the wine and she said that they all sell out so they are all good (presumably). The red wine tasting finished with a poor quality sweet red wine that did not belong in that line up, though the others were ok. We were extremely disappointed by the rude service and I would not go back. One extra star given for the pretty surroundings, otherwise I would have just given 1 star. I would recommend going somewhere else if you enjoy and appreciate good customer service.
google avatar

Matthew G.

Yelp
Pretty disappointing. We stopped here because of the route we were taking and we wanted to see what the scenery of an Arizona desert vineyard looked like. And we got that, but that was the only good thing about it. (1) We tried to sit outside, but the majority of the chairs seemed dangerously wobbly/compromised. I was honestly worried they were going to break (some had screws nearly completely out) (2) My wife remarked that even the interior was dirty. (3) Service was not exactly friendly. (4) Most importantly: the wine simply isn't good. We tried both the whites and the reds, and every varietal was both hot (biting alcohol flavor) and thin (weak mouthfeel, even ones that are normally bold reds.) And they think they can sell these for $35-45 per bottle?! That's crazy. This was our first time trying wine in the area, and we almost made the conclusion that all Arizona wine is terrible. But fortunately, that isn't the case (we later went to the Burning Tree tasting room in Cottonwood, and their wines were great.)

Cari K.

Yelp
Helpful staff with great recommendations on wine. We did the make your own flight which was a good option for a mix of red and whites.

Hannah C.

Yelp
The tour was interesting and informative, and the lady leading it was fun and knowledgable. They were clearly proud of the hard work they're doing, and excited to share it with others. We stayed afterward for tastings and food- it totally surpassed our expectations! The food was great and the server made us feel really at home. - she was super sweet and attentive.

Yelp
Stopped here as we were driving from page to phoenix. Worst winery I've been to in awhile! Tastings were very stingy, maybe 1 1/2 sips only. 4 tastings for 20.00! Had to go up to the bar for every tasting, like they're trying to cut back on using glasses. Food was horrible, ordered the hummus and pita. The pita was cardboard and the hummus, so so... Needless to say the wines were not very good, only like one of them. Didn't buy a bottle because of the bottle prices were outrageous! Not worth your time or money to stop here. BTW...the bartender was just trying to close the place down and put everything away quickly.

Yelp
Fantastic winery- shout out to Scott for his amazing hospitality, and the 4 cats that chilled with us while we enjoyed our flights. My favorite wine: 2018 Petite Surah EST- wonderful tannins as a stage to the fresh black fruit (plums, currants, dried dates) notes, and medium body. 2017 Mourvedre - herby sage against your standard red berry notes (strawberry, cranberries, raspberries). Medium-light body, and soft tannins Their white was excellent too as I had a sip from my girlfriend's flight. The Sauvignon Blanc was balanced and had tame acidity. Their Moscato was wonderful on the nose, and as sweet as a moscato can get.

Yelp
The wine is decent, but getting a flight without a fight is a challenge! The People behind the tasting bar are confused and disorganized. Don't eat here! We ordered the caprici and flatbread. As can be seen in the pic, it came on a plastic plate with about 6 tiny mozzarella pieces. It was basically tomatoes. The antipasto had only a couple pieces of meat on -you said it- a plastic plate and plastic silverware. Step it up Alcantera.

Yelp
I unfortunately did not enjoy this winery. Having worked at a winery for years maybe I'm biased but the wine wasn't that good and it didn't seem like the person serving was very knowledgeable. She was friendly but just didn't go out of her way to explain any wine. I ended up with a glass of corked Chardonnay unless that's how their wine usually tastes (I really hope not). At first I thought I was being picky but my friend also agreed and after visiting another local winery it was definitely apparent this place has some work to do. I will say they had lots of events and fun things to do so maybe it's more about the experience than the wine. That just wasn't what we were looking for.

Yelp
This winery is amazing. They have a large outdoor area with live music on the weekends. They have several options for your wine tasting flights. They have an indoor and outdoor bar. All of the wines we tried were really good and the sangria has frozen fruit and is very refreshing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the winery is beautiful and we can't wait to visit again when the vines are all green.

Yelp
Loved this place. When you walk in you feel like you're in a family member's home. It's warm and inviting and quite literally used to be someone's house! The wines were good for Arizona wine! Just don't come here expecting a Napa type of product and you won't be disappointed! We kayaked down the river on the "Water to Wine" tour and it was the perfect ending tasting wine on the lawn in the beautiful scenery.

Yelp
Great winery. A little out of the way, but worth it. Everyone was super nice. You get do wine tasting and don't have to stand at the bar. If you decide to sit at the tables inside or out, someone will come to you with your next tasting. They are pretty quick. You don't have to wait long for your next pour. They also sell snacks such as a bread, olives, cheese, etc. The wines were pretty good. My favorite was the meritage. Second favorite was the Sangiovese. Parking is available on site. They had a live band the Sunday I went. I did see they have events throughout the month.

Yelp
Alcantara is a small vineyard, grapes are hand-picked and processed. I enjoyed the tour with the wine master. They have a lovely outdoor garden/patio that overlooks the vineyard. Nice place to enjoy live music and our beautiful weather, now that it's cooled off.

Yelp
Service great. Wine great. Patio great. While visiting this spot off season when the weather was cool and windy, it was still worth the trip. Really enjoyed our time. There is no table service so it's a little annoying to put your mask on and off for every trip but better to do vs not... maybe just push people to wear a mask more. Would visit again.

Yelp
Very disappointed. We were told sharing a tasting wasn't a good idea ( 5 tasting rooms in one day means we like sharing so we don't get too smashed) they poured 2 at a time as if to rush us out. No talk about the wines. Poured and walked away. I am sure the wine was fine but the service was so poor it overshadowed the wine. There were other employees standing around talking, but never addressed us. Will not return.

Yelp
Wine was pretty good, location was beautiful. Do yourself a favor and don't try the Como wine - apparently none of the employees like it, and for good reason. Wish the employees were a little more put together and educated on the wines but overall it was a fun experience!

Yelp
We did the water to wine tour. It was about 1.5 hours kayaking on the water. We started at 9am because it was in the month of July. Perfect weather, not even too hot. The kayaking was intermediate, not to hard. My friend had never been kayaking and she ended up learning a lot and doing pretty well. At the end of the tour we did some wine tasting. We enjoyed our day. Bring lots of sunscreen, and water to drink with an change of clothes and you'll be good!
