Google
I have heard from friends that the food is good also. I only had a beer while my wife visited stores nearby. The staff is friendly. I will be back

Google
Service was absolutely amazing and very friendly. Got the smash burger and it is big and delicious. Great flavor with the bacon pieces in the patty too. Nice area layout as well.

Google
Such a fun unique place. I love their beer with salty turtle, my kiddo love going here and walking up the fun stairs. The food in the front part is always delicious! The plants all over are absolutely beautiful!

Google
It's a seriously cool spot. Super nice staff, lots of open air seating, and now a TON of food options all around. If you're visiting Wilmington, you've got to drop by. Beer, food, craft vendors, and arcade next door? It's a hipsters paradise

Google
Definitely check out Cargo City when in Wilmington! Super cool set up of shops & bar/restaurants in shipping containers. Great selection of local brews on tap. Food was excellent! We had the Brussels tacos, street corn, & smash burger. Indoor & outdoor seating. Great vibe!

Google
This is the perfect little spot to unwind! The food from beat street was amazing, the staff (Faith and Ben especially) were welcoming, informative, and SOOO friendly! The owner and manager Pat both took the time to speak with my sister and I to give us a little history on the area. Will definitely be back!

Google
Great people, great bartenders, great venue/location. Great place to eat outdoors. $5 smash burgers on Wednesday 4-7pm are a 10/10. Wait time is like 2-5 minutes for food

Google
such a great vibe day and night🩷 i frequent alcove a couple times during the week and its my favorite way to top of my day. its clean, never too loud or too quiet. get one of the signature cocktails from steph, or blaize and faith make an amazing margarita. whichever bartender you get just know they'll knock it out the park EVERY time ** also the brussels tacos from beat street are really really good

Yelp
Great location and atmosphere. Awesome beer and music. What's not to like? Definitely on the repeat list.

Yelp
Very cool place to grab a beer or other adult drinks. Note, you can grab food at Beat Street which is in the same building and eat it here. Nice beer selection along with a full bar. Bartenders were very attentive and nice. Highly recommend but wish they stayed open later. I believe they close at 10PM Monday - Saturday.

Yelp
LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Ben has the BEST burgers on the east coast and Faith is the sweetest and best bartender you will find. The establishment is fantastic... very authentic and it separates itself from any other spot you will find. Also have to give a shoutout to the manager, Pat.

Yelp
This is a nice brewery in the cargo district. We belong to a local beer club and we had an event here on the 18th of September. There were probably about 50 of us that enjoyed some beer (wine for me), local shops to explore, and food from the Rude Bwoys Jerk BBQ (will do a separate review). The beer garden is large with inside and outside tables/chairs. There's even seating upstairs that looks into the beer garden. There are planters on one wall and a cool spiral stair case. This was a fun place, as you had the option to explore the surrounding area.

Yelp
Cute spot in the cargo district! I got the margarita, which is only $5 on Tuesdays! It was really good! Nice and strong and had lots of citrus flavor

Yelp
We love hanging out here! It has several different places to sit: outside, an upstairs area, covered, not covered. They offer a great selection of beer and also have liquor. It's just a cool Nola e to chill and enjoy nice weather.

Yelp
i love this place!! great drinks, friendly bartenders, and who can't beat a $5 bourbon on Wednesdays with a $5 burger from the adjoining Beat Street

Yelp
I have been here a few times but was exploring the area and decided to grab a drink and relax with my book. It was during the week and not during a busy time of day, so it was fairly empty. They have changed a few things since the last time I was here, mostly seating areas. Since it was pretty dead inside, I decided to explore the upper areas. The bar is downstairs and has a decent selection of beverages. You can sit at some of the picnic style seats downstairs or make your way up to the first set of stairs that leads to some stools overlooking the downstairs area. If you go further towards the back of the Alcove Beer Garden, there is another set of stairs right where the Mess Hall doors are. Up there they have some chairs and a table but they are fabric chairs and honestly it smelled like wet dog up there so I decided to sit back downstairs at a picnic table. I think this is a great stopping point in if you are in the area and have a group of friends or even a family friend spot. (They do also have some outdoor seating but it was raining when I stopped in so I did not look around out there much.)

Yelp
Some friends and I stopped here (they'd been before) on a beautiful, yet chilly, Sunday afternoon. There was a maker's market going on, along with live music. We found a table by one of the proposer heaters, fortunately. If you tend to be cold, I recommend bringing a coat as a lot of the outdoor seating was in the shade. The interior is just as cool as outside. They've done a really nice job with decorating, keeping it funky yet contemporary. The bartender was friendly. I think they need to have a beer menu either on a screen/wall or in a glass frame or something. You had to pull it up via QR code and even then it was hard to read. It looked like there was a decent mix of different beer styles to choose from.

Yelp
Alcove Beer Garden is located in the Cargo District. This spot is neat because it's made up of large shipping containers (there are also other businesses here at the outpost). We grabbed a beer and sat outside, the list of options were good and the service was friendly. Cheers!

Yelp
Alcove has definitely stepped up their game. It's more enjoyable to chill here. They added a ton of benches for outdoor seating, added more decor, and added more beer options, including beer options from local breweries. With Mess Hall next door, you can enjoy one of the best burgers in town with an ice cold beer.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite day time spots... I enjoyed looking at the plants and chatting with some friends. I was recommended beer order and it was great. I love the simple decorations and the vibe of the place. I like the different levels and the cargo containers are really cool to sit in for more privacy. It's always a fun experience, I would recommend!

Yelp
Favorite new bar, for sure. Spending most nights in the cargo district just got a little easier. Love that they opened up earlier despite still working on some of the minor details. It gets people coming back more and more times. They have done an amazing job with the set up and beer selection. Would absolutely love if they get a daytime DJ or someone to pump out some music while you're day drinking or chilling in the sun enjoying some beers!

Yelp
We visited Beat Street Tacos on a Sunday about12:15. We ordered our tacos and I wanted an alcoholic beverage that you get at Alcove. The bartender was cleaning up a spill on the floor (which I totally understand) and took a few minutes as I was standing at the bar. He came back behind the bar and continued to do busy things never acknowledging that I was standing right there! My husband actually went to the car and came back and I was still standing there. I felt invisible! I told my husband to forget about it and I drank warm water with my tacos (which were good). That bartender is clearly in the wrong business! If I could give 0 stars I would since I had no service at all!

Yelp
A hidden gem. A bar in a cargo container. Warm and welcoming. Devan was fun to talk too and food that was ordered Beat Street was very good. If ever back this way will def stop by.

Yelp
Very cute place. Great selection of ciders, beers, and cocktails. Love the ambiance and weekly events!

Yelp
Loved the location. Works great in the space. Would like to see some different beers on tap. Also would have preferred a beer list for bottles and cans. Without list it was very difficult to see the options.

Yelp
Such a cool new spot in a developing area of DT. Love the atmosphere, very relaxed and great open outdoor space to spend an afternoon. You can get food or coffee as well which is nice for people who aren't just wanting to drink. Good vibes

Yelp
Awesome place to grab a beer, a burger, a coffee and chill. Ample seating that's well spaced out. Three different places to choose from. A little bit of everything for everyone!

Jan B.

Yelp
They do not recycle although they have separate bins for recycling. The recycling bin was overflowing one recent weekend evening and the employee taking out the trash told our group they just toss everything into the garbage dumpster anyway. They were serving all draft beer and wine in plastic cups. We packed out, but so disappointing.

Yelp
Good beer selection and connected to a hamburger place with tasty burger and tots. Plus also coffee shack as part of the complex. Lots of people drinking inside, staff was masked. Good outdoor seating at picnic tables felt safer.

Yelp
What a fun way to spend an afternoon catching up with your bestie! We started with chai tea lattes and after a lot of chatting we then got a beer and did a lot more chatting. The outdoor space is fun and fantastic and the indoor space is airy and great! Highly recommend a visit here. (We timed the food wrong so missed the food truck being open!)

Yelp
Great new place in the cargo district. The beer is reasonable ($4-$5) and the vegan pretzels are delicious.
