Dining at Alcron Restaurant was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, with a refined Art Deco-inspired design that makes the evening feel special from the very first moment. The service was impeccable — warm, attentive, and perfectly timed. And the food? Simply outstanding! From the freshly baked bread to the creative snacks, beautifully balanced small plates, and mains full of flavor (fried cauliflower and pasta with confit duck), every bite was a delight. Desserts like the Prague Cake and Chocolate Pavé were the perfect sweet ending. A must-visit for anyone in Prague who loves fine dining done right.

We always find it difficult to try Michelin star restaurants because I am a vegetarian and you dont have many of these, so it was the same story this time around as well. Voila, then came Alcron and its not a Michelin star but very much deserves to be one again. The food was exceptional. Definitely try the Bryndza and the Wheat dumplings if you are vegetarian. The chocolate pavé with strawberry sorbet keeps you wanting more. The service was exceptional as well and the staff was super friendly. If you are in Prague then this one is a must do.

I had the pleasure of dining at Alcron with my family, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The delicate tasting menu was exquisite, a perfect balance of flavors and creativity. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special, particularly as we had arranged a surprise for my mom’s birthday. Their thoughtfulness and kindness added a heartfelt touch to the occasion. A special shoutout to the manager, Michal, who was exceptional in his attention to detail. He guided us through the wine pairing with enthusiasm and expertise, enhancing our dining experience even further. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend Alcron to anyone visiting Prague, whether you're looking for a refined dining experience or planning a special celebration with your loved ones.

The food was amazing and unique! The vegetarian dishes were absolutely wonderful. The service was 10/10. High value for money in my opinion.

The atmosphere was a bit dull due to the restaurant being quiet, but it was rather late at night for dinner. However the waiters were very welcoming and attentive and the food was very enjoyable

An amazing experience. Every dish was insanely good. We’ll be back!

Worst fine dining experience I’ve ever had, by far. To start with, the complimentary sourdough bread was slightly damp/soggy, and my strong suspicion was that it was baked long before the dinner service and had been reheated with a sprinkling of water in an attempt to freshen it unsuccessfully. I had the beef tartare and the potato gratin as a main, and there was nothing standout about the tartare’s quality or flavour profile that warranted its price tag. The potato gratin was decent. I’ve given 2 stars only because of the kind and attentive staff, the pleasant decor, and the complimentary birthday cake, which was of average quality, but still appreciated. Overall, this was a waste of money and time, and personally, certainly a waste of a birthday celebration dinner. My advice is to eat anywhere else in city centre and save your money. And if you still want to eat here, be sure to check the website for the updated menu, because most of the food items on Google Reviews are not indicative of the current offerings.

I cannot fault the attentiveness of the waiters and waitress. But this is not enough to save this restaurant from what is an overall disappointing experience. The restaurant itself was fine even though it was mostly deserted and overall not a very pleasant environment say for the lighting. Firstly, the bread was soggy, damp even, clearly due to being rehydrated a long time after being baked. Further, I chose the barley and radish “shallot” risotto. On the menu itself the fact that my order was a risotto was not clearly stated, as I had no intention of ordering risotto. My partner and I were under the impression I had not ordered the risotto as she too had read the menu and did not notice that it was in fact a risotto, neither of us did until it arrived. Willing to give it a try I soon discovered that it was lukewarm and lacked any flavour other than the occasional cranberry and radish. Presentation was satisfactory but over all a let down given it was a surprise to me in the first place. The complementary sparkling wine and birthday dessert was nice of the restaurant but even then the dessert was over all lack lustre. If you’re thinking about this place, I would say that this is a waste of money. Wholly recommend any other resteraunt in Prague. A major disappointment for what was meant to be a pleasant birthday meal.

Yelp
impeccable service, taste and presentation it's a tasting menu, but you're free to pick items from the entire menu. there are options for four to seven courses but for us, four was perfect. I seriously can't imagine going through seven. the servings are not minuscule like in some tasting menus we received two amuse bouche and another before dessert. plus, there are (I think) six options for bread and all were delicious. take as much as you want. they came with four types of butter. all were great I'm not sure I can pick a favorite dish, all were outstanding. the lobster bisque, octopus, scallop ceviche, croquettes with shaved truffle, pumpkin soup and potato gnocchi were all amazing for a fine dining experience in Prague, I'm not sure you can do better

Yelp
Came here for lunch. What a treat! I chose Alcron to be our nice meal for the trip. Reservations were easy to make online! It's located inside the Radisson Hotel, so it's easy to find. The dining room itself is pretty small and cozy. We ordered a lovely bottle of white that was light and refreshing. For the courses, we both decided we would go with 3 courses. For my courses I chose: the marinated Scottish salmon, sea bass, and the black sesame panna cotta. BF chose: foie gras, seared scallops, and the gnocchi. We were given an array of butters as well as baked goods which were DELICIOUS. Seriously, the butters were to die for. The salmon was a delicate dish which I enjoyed. Though, I must admit I favored the foie more. It was a huge piece that was silky smooth. For the main course the fish was cooked perfectly. I loved the accompaniments of the dish. The scallops were seared perfectly and again, I favored the BF's dish just a tad bit more. The potato truffle gnocchi were like pillows of heaven! Before my dessert course, we were given a small taste of a sweet dessert that tasted good. Then panna cotta was extremely light and the mandarin sorbet made the whole dish refreshing, not heavy at all. As a parting gift, we were given chocolates and macarons to go. Service was impeccable. Extremely attentive and flawless. For the price, you can't beat it! One thing that I wasn't a fan of was how they repeatedly reminded everyone of their strictly formal dress code and those that didn't adhere to it wouldn't be allowed to dine in, which is fine. However, a couple that was wearing a plain t shirt, jeans and flip flops came in and were able to be seated. What's the point of emphasizing it if it isn't going to be enforced?

Yelp
An excellent meal, and one that left us full to bursting. Came here for a lunch reservation, after a morning of touring through Prague. I didn't realize that it was located in a Radisson Hotel, which threw me for a loop for a bit, but it didn't matter because the final experience was really great, as expected for a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was also interesting to see that there were only about 8 tables, and the space was actually very small. However, it definitely made the experience better, as our servers were very engaged, and not seemingly too busy. We went for the 3-course prix fixe, which was a change of pace from our usual a la carte experiences throughout our Europe trip. My courses: Quail breast with apricot and smoked almonds: quail was excellent, and the apricot complemented the smokiness and slight gaminess of the meat. Potato gnocchi with truffle and chive emulsion: Um, this was one of the best gnocchi dishes I've had. All the textures were great, there was a huge amount of black truffle, and the chive cut through all the richness quite well. Prime beef with miso and jasmine tea potato puree: Meat was delicious, and the jasmine tea flavor really came through. That being said, it was probably the least memorable out of all courses. Service was excellent, and our servers explained everything quite well. Prices were definitely more expensive than most places in the area, but for a 3 course prix fixe, it was very reasonable at 1100 CZK (~$43USD). We were very satisfied with the portions and the flavors, so it was definitely worth it. Would be very inclined to try the chef's tasting menu, if I ever made it back. A great place for a fancy lunch or dinner, and you can be assured that because of the small size of the restaurant, more attention is paid to each individual patron. Easily one of the best restaurants we tried in Prague.

Yelp
I had initially planned to visit The Alcon for dinner but in the mess of planning my travel for my 18 day European extravaganza I forgot to make a dinner reservation. Upon checking in to the hotel (The Alcon is one of a trio of restaurants within the Radisson Blue Alcon) I visited the maitre'd stand to inquire about availability and was informed that I could come in the following day for lunch anytime. The next day I headed down exactly at noon and was fortunate to be the first one seated. I pursued the menu, ordered my tap water (I drink gallons a day so I always go with tap water) and quickly chose my courses. I selected the Foie Gras to begin, followed by the house special of the day - Sea Bream, their renowned Venison, and finally the lemongrass panna cotta to finish it off. After the Sea Bream I decided to add a course, and max out on my courses getting a fifth course (the maximum on the menu for Lunch, you can have up to seven for dinner) of beef and oxtail. Prior to my ordered first course I was presented with a selection of bread as well as four different types of butter, my favorite which was the paprika and chili butter. I was also served a canapé of smoked veal tartar which was light and delicious and beautifully presented in a bowl that looked like it had ice spokes within it. After the canapé I was presented with some more bread, and then the Foie Gras, which as I understand is their most popular single menu item. It was presented on one of the most interested plates I've ever seen. The plate had ridges to allow for a river of something, followed by a significant indent in which the foie gras was placed. The presentation was magnificent and the overall taste, when combining the flavors was also great. I've never been a fan of Foie Gras but had selected it on the recommendation of the waiter and I was not disappointed. The peanut butter biscuit and small berries brought out beautiful notes in the Foie Gras. This was followed by a little bit more bread and then the sea bream. It was not listed on the menu but it was served beautifully and had a beautiful fishy flavor. It wasn't overpowering with fish but considering it was served in a landlocked country it was extremely fresh. The presentation was, beautiful and the taste great. This was followed by the venison. I'm not normally one to eat Bambi, but this was stupdenous. The best single course I've had at any restaurant anywhere in the world. Even better than o-toro at Sushi Dai. It was just that mind blowing. The meat was extremely tender and the juices, which were poured on at the table, brought out just the right flavors. I only wish I'd ordered two courses of this. My following course, which I had ordered in the middle of my dinner was a small filet mignon accompanied by an oxtail croquette. The filet was good, but not mind blowing, and the oxtail croquette was the most flavorful single item I've had on a dish ever. It tasted so strongly of red meat yet had this awesome crunch as it was a croquette. Accompanied with the accouterments of the course it was still a very good course overall. The biggest downside of this course was the odd plating. Which accompanied only 1/4 of the plate and was not centered. Not really sure what they were going at with this. Finally we approach the dessert course. For the dessert I was served a beautifully presented lemongrass panna cotta with pineapple and ginger. This dish, though extremely good was overpowered by the chances of ginger and would have been better without it. However that doesn't distract from the fact that the lemongrass panna cotta on its own was absolutely fantastic. This was the biggest "miss" of the meal, and still, it's something that i'd be extremely happy about in 99% of restaurants. I assumed the next thing to be presented to me would be my check but instead I received a fancy chocolate and if memory serves a whipped cream of some sort to accompany it. Only after this was I presented with my check, and only upon request. After I charged it to my room I was additionally presented with macaroons, I believe they were mango as after I had one of them my throat was swollen and I conked out for an hour, a similar allergic reaction to what occurs when I hate mango. The total expense including tip was around $68 USD , or the price of a low end steak at Wolfgang Puck's CUT in Los Angeles. It's amazing how much value you can get in Prague. I'll definitely head back to The Alcon on my next visit to Prague and enjoy the amazing food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Who knows, maybe next time I won't rush through my courses and only spend an hour and forty five minutes to eat a five course menu not included the extras. My suggestion. If you're going to be in Prague make a reservation because it is definitely worth it, even if you're not staying at the Radisson Blu Alcon.

Yelp
This tiny restaurant has recently been awarded a one Michelin star and it's well worth the visit. To start, make sure you make a reservation, because the room is seriously tiny, seating approximately 6-8 tables at a time. Their menu is mostly seafood-based and for dinner you can select between 3 to 7 courses within the menu. The price ranges from 35 EUR for 3 courses to 70 EUR for 7 courses without wine. If you want wine pairing then it's simply double the price. It's extremely reasonable! Lunch is selected a la carte. We got the 5 course with wine pairing and it was more food than we can handle. The food was AMAZING. Together, we tried 10 courses: - tuna tartare - langoustine with artichoke salad - imperial oyster and beef carpaccio on bed of cucumber salad - beet root with goat cheese with chocolate crumble - roast duck foie gras - red prawn with japanese bouillabaisse - sole with cottage cheese gnocchi - venison sous vide with truffle-chestnut purree and cranberry reduction - strawberry vanilla cheesecake with raspberry sorbet (It tasted more like custard!) - milk bar (cake) with coffee mousse and raspberry sorbet My favourites were the langoustine, fried foie gras, and the VENISON. GET THE VENISON!! Although the menu changes slightly depending on available ingredients, I wouldn't hesitate to try anything there.

Yelp
This is a small restaurant in the Radisson hotel. At the reception in front of the restaurant we were welcomed and seated at our table. As always in this type of fine dining resturants the waiter started with a small greetings from The chef first. Thereafter we were served four different type of butter, chili, lemon, seeweed and plain butter. To the butter we could choose from 6 different kind of bread, my favorite was the parmesan and the plain chiabata. We started our dinner with the langoustine, it was fresh and tasty! Our second dish was scottish salmon and tabouleh. The salmon had a amazing texture and the combination of ginger and Malibu gelé was a pleasant suprise. The third dish was the slow cooked octopus, to me this was the least impressive dish (still good though). My absolute favorite dish that nearly made me cry of happiness was the pigeon with cacao beans. The meat was tender, the cacao sauce rich and alltogether the dish was beautifully syncronised. I sat there eating and sipping on my amarone wine forgetting everyting in my surronding... Due to the effect this dish might have on you do not order it if your company demands all of your attention. All I could say during this meal was "aha ok" and "oh my good this is so good".... Four courses into the dinner both me and my boyfriend cursed our rookie misstake, we had eaten to much bread and we just could not eat more than one final dish so we started to sharp our spoons for the dessert... I went for the hot and cold vahlrona chocolate and he for the coffe créme brulée paired with a delicious sherry. Not entierly unecpected both of the dishes was amazing and left us promising to exercise 5 days a week just to be able to countining eating... So to summarize: The waiters and sommelier was attentiv, charming and professional. This was a great dining experience and in almost all of the dishes the chef worked with different textures, unecpected combinations and different temperatures. This is one of two restaurants in prauge awarded with one Michelin star (however for march 2016 it was unsertain wether they would keep it or not...) Michelin star or not we were served some of the best dishes we ever eaten here. Do not miss this gem when in prauge! Oh sorry I forgot, of course they will give you some sweets to the coffe and a small "thank you for eating our delicious food" box as a good bye and welcome back gift.

Yelp
We went all out and did the 6 course tasting menu along with the wine pairing, since my wife and I are on our honeymoon and this was our first Michelin Star experience. The food was expertly explained (in English) and the wine pairing was fantastic with a nice mix of Czech wines and French wines. Old school fancy white glove service, and while not cheap, very well priced for what you get. Even more so when compared to a similar type of place in the USA. Reservations are a must as there are only 8 tables, but that lends to the intimate nature of the place. Fantastic overall experience, highly recommended.

Yelp
The decor and "white glove" service are super old school, classic - maybe a little over the top if you weren't expecting it. But it totally works here. The food is fantastic - I did not, for once, write down everything we ate so I don't remember everything. But I DO remember not NOT loving a single thing. (I also remember the foie gras which was, hands down, the best we've ever had (foie gras marinated with red currant and peanut butter biscuit). There was also something I got that seemed like a lot of goat cheese to eat in one sitting, but it wasn't at all overwhelming and it was the kind of goat cheese I was happy to eat a lot of. The homemade butters were wooooonderful. The flavors were all excellent and the service was flawless. Even though it was a spontaneous choice, we had no problem getting an early lunch reservation immediately. I also really loved that it was such a small place - I think I saw that they have room for only 24 people, with only a handful of tables. It's very cozy, intimate setting and though we had our main server, the three servers there were clearly working together and helping each other out. Every detail was attended to, they even gave us a box with two homemade macarons to take home. Just a lovely experience all around, I would go back again in a heartbeat. (And we could afford to go back - being a Michelin star restaurant, we thought it would be really pricey. We found the cost to be extraordinarily reasonable, even had we gone for the full 7 courses. We INTENDED to do 7 courses but just got full and stopped with 4.)

Yelp
This place is very intimate and cozy and I think they can have only 24 guests at a time. Deservingly Michelin star, the service is great and the food is very interesting. We went for the 5 course option and the sommelier suggested the wine which was a perfect pair to the food we had. The rice pudding desert and the marinated salmon are a must try.

Yelp
The food was excellent! For lunch, we opted for the 3 course menu but ended up ordering an extra dish so in the end we both had the 4 course menu with wine pairings. We were given two amuse bouches to start along with our choice from a selection of bread with different butters - all very nice. For the first course, we had the scallop ceviche and the salmon - both very nice. My wine pairing was excellent - an unfiltered wine that paired very well. For the second course, we had the seared scallop and the potato-truffle gnocchi. the truffle gnocchi was absolutely amazing - three large pillows with extra truffle "caviar" and a deliciously creamy chive emulsion. If you go, you have to get this course. My husband's seared scallop was probably the most forgettable of the dishes - the seared scallop and the mushroom was an odd texture combination. For the third course, I had the lamb dish which was absolutely delicious but maybe a bit large for a lunch portion. It came with a perfectly cooked piece of lamb loin as well as a portion of lamb shoulder. My husband ordered the venison but was given the sea bass by mistake. This ended up being a perfect mistake because just before we received the course - he was talking about how he wished he had ordered four courses instead of three and that he wanted another savory course. The sea bass was very nice - but his venison for the fourth course was stellar. Since he added another course, I decided to do a dessert as well. I was first given a pre-dessert with marinated cucumbers which was a perfect pallet cleanser. I choose the rice pudding which was really nice and not too heavy. Overall, four courses with wine pairings was probably a bit much for our lunch - we needed a nap after. But the food was really great and the service was exemplary. Our server (Nick) provided great descriptions of the wine and food and was very friendly. The one quirk that I have with this place is the stress on "formal" attire. When reservations were made, we were told that the attire was formal which was reiterated when we received the confirmation email. The restaurant itself isn't really in a premier area of the city and is in a small room off the lobby of a Raddison hotel. It just felt a little forced and confusing. And, after all that fuss, there were people wearing sneakers and t-shirts.

Yelp
Spectacular Michelin star experience at this seafood inspired and degustation focused restaurant. Kudos to Prague's Roman Paulus for bringing together such expertly crafted dishes and transforming them into an adventure for the senses. The scopic Radisson Blu hotel harbors The Alcron, which itself is an intimate space of two dozen seats wrapped in walls decorated with alternating angular and rounded art deco shapes. The font of the restaurant's name and the old New York-glamor furnishings create a palpable 1930s feel. The service was impeccable, with the staff knowledgeably running our early dinner like a true dining experience. I particularly loved the way guests can pick up to 7 courses to fashion a tailored tasting menu for themselves at 2100 Crowns. I am not a seafood lover by any stretch of the word and find normal tasting menus quite rigid and full of fins and crustaceans. This was absolutely perfect for me. Course Breakdown: 1. The Tuna Sashimi - fresh cut pieces done different ways with a light parsley mayo made for an excellent starter with a crisped daikon slice for texture 2. Veal Tartar - delicate tube of fennel-spiced meat with coriander foam was perfectly seasoned 3. Quail Breast - a seared slice of usually gamey bird was paired with a savory, complex liver parfait that skilfully complimented the main part of the dish. Blackberries to cut through with some acidity 4. Foire Gras Escalope - rich and fatty, objectively well executed but my palate prefers a smoother mousse-like texture 5. Pigeon with Sour Cherry - a crisp, seared skin on a very rare piece, absolute perfection with the sour cherry. However, at this point in the meal the cocoa ganache-like aspects of the dish were too rich for me but objectively faultless (I should have ordered it earlier) 6. US Prime Beef - a succulent piece with a delicate miso glaze and jasmine tea flavors peeking through. Amazing We were so full we, sadly could not fit dessert in. They sounded amazing though and the staff sent us off with a of macarons as is customary.

Yelp
We arrived early and waited inside the Radisson Hotel for our 5:30pm Alcron reservation. Alcron, a one Michelin star, only seats about 30. We were the first people to be seated. Most of the restaurant was quite empty since only a few people had early reservations, which meant most of the attention was on us. Since we had a 7pm show to catch, the courses were brought out quicker than normal. We each picked four different entrees, so we tried eight different dishes! Ceviche of Scottish diver scallops - light in flavor. Fresh. Marinated Scottish salmon - delicious. So much flavor. Rum jellies were a bit odd, tasted like chewy alchohol. Lobster bisque - so good. creamy Olive oil poached halibut - cauliflower puree was excellent. Went well with the halibut and didn't overpower it. Halibut was light on flavor and flakey. Poached smoky line caught sea bass - parsley porridge tasted odd with the seabass. Could barely taste the fish. Pan-fried foie gras escalope - tasted very fatty and soft. Not as much of a creamy taste as I expected. US-prime beef fillet and shoulder - tasted decent. Loin and shank of lamb - shank of lamb had so much flavor. Loin was tough. We finished dinner at 6:53pm and ran to the State Opera House, barely making it to our show on time.

Yelp
We went there for the lunch menu and...I'm so thoroughly impressed. One of the best fine dining experiences, for sure. Not only is the service outstanding, but it is done in a way that really immerses you into the fine dining experience. Do the wine pairings, it's really worth it, although they are quite generous with the pours so you might end a bit tipsy. Best courses 1. Marinated Scottish salmon with avocado cream, grapefruit, and wasabi marshmallow: The salmon was excellent, and the avocado and the grapefruit enhanced each other. The wasabi marshmallow struck me at first, but it was very pleasant. 2. Potato-truffle gnocchi with chive emulsion: as other people have said, this was outstanding. So buttery, the truffle providing depth to the gnocchi and bathed in cream. Perfect. Little pillows of love. What an amazing place to be. And to be honest, in USD this is not too bad (especially for a Michelin restaurant!).

Yelp
Alcron was my first time in Michelin rated restaurant and I was absolutely amazed. I haven't tasted anything better then there yet. Food: absolotely spot on Wine: we had wine pairing and it was perfect Service: 5 stars

Yelp
A wonderful experience from start to finish. I booked my husband and I a four course dinner reservation. The restaurant has one waiter per table so you are waited on hand and foot. The dinner starts with bread and an assortment of flavored butters. From there you are offered the menu to choose your courses. The set menu price choices are 3,4, or 5 courses. We decided on the four courses and I have never been so full! While the food portions are minute you somehow fill up because it is so rich. We decided on the wine pairings but if i were to go again, i would have just ordered a glass. It really wasn't work the added cost. I also would not have ordered desert as one of my courses because after the courses were finished they brought out an assortment of chocolates and ice cream that was not listed in the menu details. Definitely an experience to remember.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service. We had a 3 course menu experience for lunch and loved it. Every bring cooked to perfection. It's worth checking this place especially if you are staying at the Radisson Blu, which was our case. The ambiance is on the negative side, but the food is great.

Yelp
The only thing that I can say about the Alcron is that it opened my eyes to how food really can taste. The Alcron's Michelin star is incredibly well deserved, and really I couldn't say enough great things about this establishments. In stark contrast to Nic C's experience, my girlfriend and I found the wine-pairings to be truly exquisite when we went there for dinner, and if you can afford it I definitely recommend it. Favorite dishes? The Dover Sole filet was amazing, and the Sous-Vide Venison is absolutely to die for. Overall, I'd definitely try to tackle at least 4 courses - if you can. 10/10 will be eating at again next time I'm in Prague.

Yelp
The food was exquisitely well composed with the different textures and matching flavors, made this one of the most pleasant dining experience I've had for a long time. I chose the non alcoholic drink pairing and they made some very interesting and tasty drinks for me. My table mate ordered the dessert painting and it was an impressive thing to watch the pastry chef composing this beautiful dessert right in front of us using all kinds of technique and creativeness. The staff matches the food's quality, a world-class restaurant with a wonderful staff!

Yelp
Stopped in by chance for lunch, and had the most marvelous experience. The food was delicious (root veg/lentil salad, duck w cassoulet, gingerbread w vanilla sauce), the setting intimate, and the staff exemplary. Friendly service, with just the right amount of attention can make a beautiful meal wonderful. Many thanks to everyone.

Yelp
If you want to enjoy all you can eat and DRINK with really delicious and fresh food (buffet of different kind of actually everything - seafood, sushi, grilled fish and meet, desserts plus really good wine) this is the place. The price is really high so we do this only on special occasions but you pay for the good quality. Do not eat anything at least a day prior :)

Yelp
I came here for an early birthday dinner with a friend this weekend and was overall very impressed with my first Michelin dining experience. The Alcron is located in the Radisson Blu hotel and is actually quite small, with only 24 seats. My friend and I waited outside for a little bit since we were about 5 minutes early for our 5:30 reservation. After we were seated, we were served water and Prosecco by our lovely waiter. (Service all night was exactly what you'd expect from a Michelin-starred place) Amuse bouches were also delightful (one was a honey crisp with foie gras cream, paired with baked apple with a horseradish topping and the other was fried yuzu with a spinach mayonnaise, I think) and super flavorful. My friend and I tried: Milk fed veal tartar with marinated fennel and coriander emulsion - tartar was very flavorful and I thought it was a nice start to the meal, but not one of my favorites. Flavors were definitely interesting. Potato gnocchi with chives emulsion and fresh white truffle - VERY decadent with a nice truffle taste, gnocchi cooked perfectly, definitely showcases the main ingredient well and the butter sauce was delicious as well. I couldn't eat more than a few bites of this though at a time though. Lobser bisque with sweet corn and poached egg yolk - I loved the idea of popped sweet corn (yay popcorn!) but not so much the execution -- it quickly got soggy and I don't think there's any context in which soggy popcorn tastes good, even if it's in a delightful lobster bisque. The ingredients in this one just seemed a little out of place and lost -- but the flavor of the bisque itself was impeccable. Poached smoky line caught sea bass with parsley porridge and quail egg - probably my least favorite dish of the night. I wanted more deconstruction in this dish but there wasn't really any way to eat it besides mixing it all together. The parsley taste was very strong and I loved the crispy wrapping around the perfectly cooked quail egg, and the fish was definitely smoky and cooked properly. Slowly cooked octopus with chorizo emulsion, black olives tapenade ad crispy capers - a surprisingly good pick! I thought this dish had a lot of flavor complexity I wasn't expecting, but it definitely wasn't overly salty. If you're an octopus fan, I'd highly recommend trying this one. If you're not, this dish might convert you. Pan fried duck foie gras escalope with caper-raisin puree and pear - my favorite dish from the night! I didn't understand the fuss over foie gras until I tried a bite of this. The foie gras was so rich and creamy and melted on my tongue, while the pear cut it with the sweetness. Absolutely no complaints about this dish. US-prime beef filet and shoulder with miso glaze and jasmine tea smoked potato puree - another hit! I really liked the jasmine tea -- it really brought out the flavors in the meat and the miso glaze. Pigeon with sour cherries and cocoa beans - SUCH an interesting dish. I really liked how the flavor of the pigeon was preserved without too many extra ingredients, but the chocolate and the cherries really added a nice pop. I was so intrigued by this one! Definitely left stuffed because all the food was so rich. I'd also recommend asking your waiter for wine recommendations with the courses you're particularly excited about. If you're looking for a #treatyoself kind of night with flavors, I don't think you'd be disappointed by The Alcron!

Yelp
Alcron, a Michelin star restaurant was up to our expectation. We came here for lunch and everything was great from the service to the food. They can do better when it comes to the decor, but still good stuff. We had a 3 course menu, and all the courses were excellent. If you are a gnocchi fan, you must try their potato truffle gnocchi with chives emulsion. And their cold and hot textures of Valrhona chocolate is heaven. Reservation is essential. We made it more than a month ago.

Yelp
DO NOT get the wine pairing. It is ok wine, but cheap and not paired well. Considering the price of pairing I highly recommend against it. That said the food was right on par with a michelin star resturant. The service was also fairly good, but not great. Minus the wine pairing id go again

Yelp
This was the best culinary experience of my life! My husband and I came to The Acron at the end of a 2 week European trip to celebrate our anniversary. We opted for the wine pairing. The service by the host, waitress, and sommelier was just perfect. The chef even came out to greet us at the end. We were so entertained by the presentation, the additional snacks, and the taste of everything. Wish we lived closer! We can't stop talking about it!!!

Yelp
My friend and I had dinner at the Alcron on a Monday night. Given that we were the first two guests for a good hour or two, it was awkwardly quiet. However the night turned around quickly as our meals came out. We had 3 courses each on top of complimentary amuse bouche, bread and dessert (we couldn't resist macaroons, homemade ice cream and chocolates). Try the parmesan balls from their bread selection - they melt in your mouth! Great service, great value (all of the above including glasses of prosecco and wine) for about A$170. I can't sing enough praises - thank you for a great night.

Yelp
Nice setting and friendly staff. Food was mediocre for the cost and English wasn't great. Had some trouble with letting them select our wine, not very knowledgeable on that subject.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in the world, well worth its Michelin star. Best service we've had in any restaurant. Staff very personable, professional, explained each dish in detail. It was like being served at a cooking school. We ordered the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairing. First thing that impressed me was the waiter talked us out of a much more expensive bottle of wine to try toe pairing. Wine selections were amazing. Each dish prepared perfectly. We received an amuse bouche between each course including two after dessert. There are no bad choices here. We were treated like very special guests and fed accordingly.

Yelp
Great food but this restaurant has become too successful. Meet the chef, great. Then the waiter booted us out because our time was up. We were a party of 4 and ordered too many courses. Even tho they made a fortune off us, we had to go when a pre-determined time limit had come. No time for coffee. I complained that I had never experienced this kind of treatment ever. Waiter could care less. Don't go there unless you are willing to be escorted out of the restaurant because of their profits over your evening!
