In the small town of Puerto Natales, we weren't expecting to get such an amazing dining experience (among the strip clubs and "everything" stores). If you pretend to be a foodie, and an amateur adventurer, you must go to Aldea while on your way to beautiful Torres Del Paine.
The dishes were magnificent, each plate had it's own unique look and taste of the local cuisine. We had local fried bread and salsa (Chilean norm), then the scallop ceviche, lamb shank, fruit dessert and then went back for the local llama tartare (server thought we were crazy). Everything was local, fresh, and beautifully plated. The serves spoke broken English, and with my little Spanish speaking boyfriend, we were able to easily navigate the experience. The wine was local Chilean, decent but reasonably priced.
We tried to go back after Torres Del Paine but just missed it since we took the the 745 bus. We also tried to go to Ciento Once in Santiago (sister restaurant), however, unfortunately was closed until the new year.
Hands down the best meal I have ever had while traveling and up there with meals within the US. Do not hesitate, just go.
