We were visiting the town for a few days and wanted to enjoy the local flavours. I checked the reviews of Aldea restaurant and many of them were positive so decided to go there. Unfortunately the experience was quite the opposite. The staff were very friendly. The waitress helped us and I ordered grilled octopus for starter and Guanaco for the main food. The food presentation was great but the meat was as hard to eat as leather. My wife ordered seafood risotto which should have been an easy food but again the mussels in the food were extremely hard to chew.... And the price for all these was pretty high for the area. I definitely do not recommend this place as there are many other nice places to eat in the town.

Excellent food. Great staff. Interesting combinations and beautiful presentation. We were lucky to snatch up the last free table.

Traveled through Chile a couple of times, this is one of the best meal we've had. Fresh, authentic and local dishes. Stop in and enjoy good company and great food. Good selection of wine, starters and entrees. Ceviche was unreal.

Yummy dinner with unique and creative ingredients. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. My only complaint is that it is a little overpriced.

Google
Outstanding restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, the service excellent, the environment lovely. We ate there two nights in a row and enjoyed some of best food - if not the best food - we had during our two weeks in Chile. Enjoyed chatting with the front of house team as well. Not cheap, but it's worth it.

Yelp
In the small town of Puerto Natales, we weren't expecting to get such an amazing dining experience (among the strip clubs and "everything" stores). If you pretend to be a foodie, and an amateur adventurer, you must go to Aldea while on your way to beautiful Torres Del Paine. The dishes were magnificent, each plate had it's own unique look and taste of the local cuisine. We had local fried bread and salsa (Chilean norm), then the scallop ceviche, lamb shank, fruit dessert and then went back for the local llama tartare (server thought we were crazy). Everything was local, fresh, and beautifully plated. The serves spoke broken English, and with my little Spanish speaking boyfriend, we were able to easily navigate the experience. The wine was local Chilean, decent but reasonably priced. We tried to go back after Torres Del Paine but just missed it since we took the the 745 bus. We also tried to go to Ciento Once in Santiago (sister restaurant), however, unfortunately was closed until the new year. Hands down the best meal I have ever had while traveling and up there with meals within the US. Do not hesitate, just go.

Yelp
Having heard rave reviews from fellow backpackers and with a location kitty-corner from our hostel, we couldn't resist trying the bougeois gastronomie offerings at Aldea. Try to make a reservation, because they do get busy and are quite strict about seating. They gave us an amazing amuse bouche and an amazing grapefruit dessert bite at the end. We ordered: -guanaco tartar: fresh and surprisingly light, highly recommend -scallop ceviche: reliably good -seafood risotto: maybe skip this one, ours came out salty and undercooked and we had to send it back. Also, pretty sure they don't use Arborio rice. -tres leches dessert: great, came with cool meringue on top Overall was a solid bougeois dinner in Puerto Natales. On par with similar bougeois dinners anywhere in the world. Would I go back? Nah. They do take credit cards!!

Yelp
This was the perfect stop immediately after showering from the W trek! The waiter spent a lot of time explaining their menu and everything is fresh. Good options for vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat lovers. We ordered a variety of everything and everyone was more than happy with all the options. The only things that were meh for me was the eggplant dessert but others liked it and it's a shareable portion for all to experience. Would def come back

Yelp
Local food with an innovative twist bordering on molecular gastronomy. The host/waitstaff are warm and welcoming, treating us to a table tour of endemic fruit we loved in their dessert post meal. Mi novio swears by the guanaco prepared two ways and I loved my pejerro w cauliflower prepared two ways as well. Most memorable amuse-bouche of sea bass pate. Must try when in Puerto Natales.

Yelp
this was a wonderful find off tripadvisor, and a fantastic last dinner before embarking on the w trek the following day in torres del paine. this place is a bit on the small side but very cozy and homey. they do have tables of all sizes, mostly 2's and 4's, but our group of 10 was nicely accommodated at their long table in the small side room. would recommend making a dinner reservation as they seat all tables at 7pm (when they open) and don't have another seating until around 9pm or after. they advertise "slow food" and exceptional service here, so don't expect this to be a quick dinner. throughout dinner, we saw several people turned away who did not have reservations. their menu is handwritten on a chalkboard as it changes daily depending on what resources are available. the menu boasts a mix of specials specific to the patagonia region, as well as dishes native to chile and greater south america overall. i was able to try several different dishes as we were with a big group, and my favorites were the hare and lamb - local favorites in the region, and both seasonally influenced in terms of availability. the ceviche and pate as starters were also fantastic. and highly recommend getting their version of creamed corn as your side. (we came to find out later in our trip that this side is commonly served throughout chile and enjoyed seeing the various iterations of it at different restaurants.) the restaurant carries plenty of wine bottles, but we went with the carmenere since that is a popular red wine and native to chile. prices are on par with any normal restaurant in the states in my opinion (after going through the chilean peso to usd conversion), but definitely considered on the pricey side for chile. keep in mind however that this is in puerto natales, which is a bit of a touristy area considering it is the gateway for many visitors coming to see torres del paine or the fjords. one last thing - cannot rave enough about the service here. the menu on the board is written in spanish and our server took the time to explain each item on the menu in detailed english to us. must've taken the man about 10-15 minutes to cover everything. really appreciate his patient and the kindness with which we were treated as tourists at this restaurant. tourists aren't always welcome, especially in towns that are jaded and overflowing with them - so really appreciated this warm and lovely dining experience.

Yelp
Best meal in Puerto Natales! First restaurant we ate at before our W trek. Owner and waiter were very patient and explained the whole menu in English to us. Ceviche was super fresh. Lamb, guanaco, and rabbit were very juicy. Dessert eggplant was unlike anything I have ever had before. Chilean red wine also complimented our main course very well. Highly recommend this place if you come visit!

Yelp
I'm utterly impressed by this little gem. The restaurant serves locally sourced food wrapped into a fine dining experience in a casual setting. Try it out! Do come early though if you don't have a reservation because the place fills up quickly after opening.

Yelp
Had lunch here last week. I had a lamb tagine and veggie soup. It was the first veggies I'd eaten after couple weeks in Patagonia. It was also one of the best meals I'd had in a while, in Chile, Argentina or U.S.! Don't miss this place if you're in Puerto Natales.

Yelp
We had an early Christmas Eve dinner here and were hoping for very good, but not expecting great. It was one of those meals that left us supremely happy and satisfied. The food was delicious - from the beet root risotto to the guanaco special. The flavors were complex, and the combination of the risotto and the guanaco, although not planned, was stunning. The wine recommendation was spot on, and the desserts - peach tart and apple crumble - a delicate and fitting end to the evening. The service was excellent - servers knowledgeable and fun to talk with, there when you wanted them, but not overbearing. If you're looking for a special evening, Aldea is highly recommended from all of my family! I am usually pretty grumpy, but this place made me happy.
