Aldeia Douro Restaurante

Pleasant central restaurant specialised in meat with a good wine menu and friendly service. We were 3 for dinner in the terrace and chose a cheese platter with a great white, a very tender and tasty posta for 2 to share with our own red (and only paid €3 in cork fee), with coffee, couvert and water for €30/pax.

Lovely restaurant !! Great staff. Excellent vegetarian choices and perfect Bacalhau crumble. But the Almond and fig cheesecake was to die for . Unfortunately ate everything and forgot to photograph so just an expresso 🤷‍♀️

Very much overpriced for what was offered, all the food was mid at the very best except for one of the starter which was good, it was a very much a restaurent trying to make itself seem like "haute-gamme" while it ticked none of the squares it needed to to have that etiquette, the service was bare minimum and for the price that was paid, it was not only a waste of money but also a waste of time, i do not recommand to anyone

Veal and sauce, chinese noodles and prawns spaghetti were all good. Fries were the best she ever ate, says my wife. Service friendly too.

New (?) restaurant as compared to other restaurants we've been too. Modern look, good ambience and music, attentive young staff. We were in the area and stopped here for late lunch. Ordered soup of the day and pork dish with mashed potatoes and veggies (mashed together), it was delicious. We ordered only two dishes for 3 people and we were full. Also ordered desert, my son's ice cream came with whipped cream and little cookies drizzled with dark chocolate, it was very good. I had fresh mixed fruit which was ripe and hit the spot. Finished up with galao (coffee and milk) and strong espresso. Very nice lunch, we recommend it.

Perfectly cooked steak on the grill. True locals’ restaurant. Very nice staff with good English. Liked the starter (asparagus with chorizo) and wine. The Portuguese dessert was very good, but its combination with lime sorbet and an Italian breadstick was slightly odd. Overall very happy!
