We decided to go there to listen to our friend’s band on Thursday. We arrived there at 6 pm and found a parking space (public parking) next to it. We paid $7 for two hours. Once inside the restaurant, we situated ourselves at a comfortable booth seats and near the music stage. We ordered a couple of drinks, appetizers to listen to the music. The staff checked in a few times to make sure we were okay, which was a nice gesture. Our appetizers were tasty and right amount. We left the restaurant happy after two hours.

GREAT FOOD & VIBES, BAD SERVER EXPERIENCE I booked a table for 14 for my birthday on a Sunday afternoon and they seated us in the large bench table outside, perfect setting. We unfortunately had a bad experience with our server Cole, whose attitude made one of my guests feel unwelcome and embarrassed when she asked for a cup of ice. We also asked him to take a photo of our party outside the restaurant after we had paid, but he said he had to immediately clear our table when he could’ve spared a minute or two. I love this restaurant and the food and the vibes and I had great service the last time I was here, which is why I was so taken aback by my experience with this server. It was a pretty busy day so I understand the stress and hustle of catering to a 14 person table, but I feel like our experience was less than satisfactory because of these moments. I will still be returning because the food & coffee were very good— their signature seasonal drinks were amazing as always, the mazapán latte and guava cloud iced tea were perfect summer drinks. I also really liked the chicken wraps, portion size was perfect and everything was fresh.

Google
Cute place, but average food. The inside is stylish and the coffee was good and original, but the food was not "great". The french toast was dry, and the mojo pork was not very tasty (but the potatoes were really good). Not the worst and still 3/5 stars, but not as good as expected, specially for the price.

Google
Very cute restaurant space! Everything wr ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the whiskey caramel latte especially if you like sweet. Also highly recommend the polenta with mushrooms, shakshuka, and pear salad! Great service and atmosphere:)

Google
This place is great. I love a hearty meal, and we were recommended a breakfast hash that hit the spot. I also had what was possibly the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. I’m already a sucker for a Mexican mocha but this one was borderline magical. I know that’s not manly to say but it’s worth it 😂

Oofrish V C.

Google
The coffee is good and the service is great! I had the flat white and my daughter had the blueberry latte which was also something different and nice. The ambiance is cute and the outdoor sitting is very relaxing and great to spend time with friends or even for working on your own. As we were short of time, so we did not order any of the hot breakfast items. We stayed with savory foods from there counter only - Almond Croissants, Ham and Raclette, Bacon and Chive croissant. The service is friendly and great! I highly recommend this place and will be going back for their hot breakfast items.

Extremely nice staff! Absolutely incredible! The food was just insanely delicious. Tons of gf options, which is always a huge bonus!

Google
we had brunch here at my friend's local favorite spot since it's pet friendly out in back garden. it's very quiet & pleasant. coffee & drinks are moderately priced, food is good-very good but not outstanding, most dishes are between $15-25. staff is pleasant & attentive; atmosphere is friendly. facility is clean & airy. there's street parking but can be tight and a good size paid parking lot right next to the garden (scanned QR payment only). we recommend it.

Yelp
Third times a charm. Officially adding this place into rotation. Like the first visit, the chilaquiles were delicious and this time I made sure to capture them so you can see for yourself. Staff was pleasant, as always. Location continues to be super chic. Hardest part is the parking, which they don't have control of (understandingly).
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE this place. Excellent food and drink options for brunch. They have a rotating menu. I very much enjoyed the duck paté savory dish most recently and we got several share plates. I also enjoy the spritzes every time. Quick service. Cute indoor and outdoor seating, but can get quite loud. There's also few self seating options that function like a cafe in the middle of a restaurant. Gets VERY busy, so anticipate making a reservation or waiting in line on the weekend. Only the cafe is open for the first hour.

Yelp
Went here a few days ago for lunch and this place never misses. Every dish I've had has been great. This time I tried their seasonal soup, which was a duck and white bean soup. It was done to perfection. Not too salty, which is hard to find at a restaurant. With just the right portion of duck to vegetables. Came with delicious sourdough from Hey Brother (local bakery). I definitely enjoyed a great meal in a serene setting with fantastic service. Oh, and the Yuzu Arnold Palmer was awesome!!

Yelp
Found another coffee spot while dilly-dallying around Long Beach and babyyy the whiskey caramel latte had me in a chokehold. I should've gone up a size because the way I inhaled it made absolutely no sense. I haven't had a warm latte in a minute and it did what needed to be done. The matcha croissant was a little too sweet for me and didn't really compliment the latte, but as a standalone treat?
google avatar

Yelp
Neat place for brunch with friends. Outdoor seating area is open with shade. There's also a large community table to sit at. The coffee/matcha selections are ok. A bit watered down flavor for me. The mocktail had pretty presentation for $12. The tartines are always solid to order. The bread is hearty and delish. The polenta with mushrooms was surprisingly delicious and a favorite. It was earthy with good flavor and texture. The burrata salad was good with fresh citrus. The shakshouka was not that flavorful and a bit too runny. Pastries are a definite get here. Perfect treat to end the meal.

Yelp
First time I came here to meet up with a friend and her son. She chose this place since she's kind of a foodie and would like to go to new places we both can try, I got the Classic, 2 farm eggs, bacon, sourdough with salted butter and jam. It's a big breakfast for me but don't ask me if I can distinguish farm eggs with other eggs. Scrambled eggs as long as cooked right is just as good as any, lol! My friend had the Turkish eggs which was garlic beet yogurt, two soft eggs, ghee, aleppo oil, dill, 'hey brother baker' sourdough. Coffe was Chagaccino with a concoction of good organic stuff. Service was good, ambiance was laid back and over all experience was good. Parking is a paid parking per hour or you can do street parking.

Yelp
This is a great place for bar and afternoon fare. Outdoor dining is what makes CA soo special isl 365 days/year

Yelp
Second time here and it was another great experience and meal. I love their outdoor seating area. There's a big communal table right when you walk into the patio area. Also scattered tables along the back and some in the garden area. Not only that, there's a fire pit and sunken seating area. Vibe is quite nice. Inside of the restaurant is pretty nice too. Never sat inside before. There's also a cafe right when you walk in. Service is always good. I love that it's pet friendly hence we're always seated outside with our fur baby. They have a good menu both daily as well as brunch. Drinks, pretty good menu on that. Started off with the carafe mimosas with three juice. They have it a glass, half carafe or full carafe. Price wise is quite good. Half which we had was enough for 2 glasses each and served with orange, grapefruit and cranberry. Entrees, the classic which is 2 eggs, choice of bacon or two different kind of sausages and baker sourdough bread. That's also accompanied by butter and jam. Then the bistro burger which was massive. Brioche bun with sharp white cheddar, smoked egg aioli, red onion marmalade, arugula and served with garlic fries and a pickle spears. There's also options to add additional items as bacon, a fried egg and avocado. Went with extra bacon and avocado. Food was good just like our first visit. The classic is a simple breakfast but quite nice. Burger, it's actually big enough for sharing with the extras topping. Everything was flavorful and burger was quite juicy. Service has always been great and all the staff were amazing. It's also a nice spot for working and enjoying a coffee. It's normally open for breakfast and bunch with the coffee shop as well. I just noticed that do they a sunset social hour Thursday Friday and Saturday from 5-8pm. Overall, this place is great. Food is always good and service was excellent. It a beautiful restaurant both inside and out. Street parking as well as a small lot next door.

Maria H.

Yelp
Food was good and prices were reasonable. Only concern was that I parked in their Parking Lot. I received notice that it was a private lot and I was asked to pay a very high fee for parking my car in the private lot. I received legal advice and matter was resolved.
google avatar

An P.

Yelp
Came here for the sunset social night which was also the same night as the tinned fish tasting event. We had the option of sitting outside by the fire pits but the seats are kinda deep in that you'd lean back really far and tables are pretty small so its good for sitting out for drinks with friends but not so much on the food. We were able to sit inside and its very pretty!! Loved our drinks; they were a great flavor. The anchovy toast was my favorite and the duck and pork pate was pretty tasty but you'd need to order more bites if you want more sustanance. Very much a chill and chat location. Come a bit early for street parking!
google avatar

Riley C.

Yelp
Food was really good! Service was well too. Ordered 2 plates to share and was plenty food. Coffee drinks were yummy as well as the bacon and chive savory croissant. Great brunch spot ! Also outdoor seating with firepits as well. Dog friendly too:) I saw a few large parties they definitely take special occasions with large party ! They take reservations as well. We walked in for 2 and it was 20 mins wait. Ambiance and music is amazing too. Will def be back!

Yelp
I've come to depend on Alder's coffee counter. From a solid cup of black coffeee to a tastefully over-the-top latte, this is the place to be for coffee. Serving from Common Grounds.

Yelp
Turkish eggs - just yogurt and eggs French toast - dry Habanero maple sausage - a bit sweet but good to pair with the eggs for extra protein Quiche - favorite of the things I tried... good texture and flavor and came with a small salad Rose pistachio cold brew- yummy and not too sweet Cute ambiance but the server was extremely rude. An older brunette woman. We were all super confused to the point that we had to laugh about it. Very passive aggressive and when we asked for our check she took two tables orders first and leisurely took her time walking around before dropping it. One of my friends I came with said his mother had been here once and was ignored and treated rudely which is why he had never been there before. Food was healthy and fresh but not very flavorful. Adding the rude workers I probably will not return.

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite places to eat. Super cute decor inside and outside. You can bring your dog for outside seating. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious!

Yelp
This restaurant is adorable and such a vibe. Came here with my two best friends and our two fur babies! I love that they are dog friendly! They have such a beautiful indoor & outdoor seating. We ordered: - Jidori Chicken Lettuce Wraps with Avocado - Eggs Benedict - Bistro Burger w/ Fried Egg & Fries - Shaken Mojito Matcha The food overall was all tasty and the perfect serving. Our server Cole was so friendly, and was so kind and brought out water bowls for our dogs. He checked on us multiple times. Thank you for your service!
google avatar

Shelby J.

Yelp
Cute place. Went for brunch with no reservations. Best to make reservations. We were able to get a seat outside luckily. Food was actually really good and service was good as well. Very friendly. Greeters were ok. Not the friendliest and their explanations of the situation as far as reservations, waiting for a cancellation etc were not very clear. Open to coming back but I will definitely make a reservation even if it is not busy.
google avatar

Shannon H.

Yelp
A local spot with trendy vibe. Parking is tough, even with a lot in front of the restaurant. Seating inside and patio are great options. Service overall was great even with two drink order mistakes. The one drink that was correct was the Lavender Palmer. So good!!! Also yummy was the Mojo Pork Hash. Best dish of our table. The bistro burger was also very good and came with garlic onion fries. The garlic was so overpowering I would skip the fries next time or ask for little or no garlic. Whew!! The Alder & Sage salad was good and enough to share. I would have like a bit more punch in the dressing. The French toast looked like a piece of art but sadly did not live up to its beautiful presentation. The bread wasn't dipped enough and was more charred than golden brown. The blueberry sauce was tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
I give this place 5 stars for ambiance. Both the indoor and outdoor seatings were open, airy, casually chic, and aesthetic. For me, the avocado toast was 3.5/5 stars. It needed more acidity. The Alder and Sage salad which we added chicken was 3/5 stars. I didn't like the dressing. The dressing lacked flavor and it tasted just like simple vinegar and olive oil. It was also a bit overdressed. We got the hot blueberry muffin latte 50% sweet. It tasted more like a dessert than coffee. The iced shaken mojito matcha was pretty refreshing, but it did not have strong Matcha flavor. The drinks did look very pretty. These drinks were more like desserts and mocktails than coffee or matcha. If you are a strong coffee drinker, order coffee. The outdoor seating was relaxing and beautiful, especially on a sunny day in spring like today. Service was overall good although I did feel a bit rushed in ordering. There is a free parking lot outside the restaurant. This place is definitely worth checking it out for the vibe!

Joseph M.

Yelp
Solid food and coffee, although it's too expensive for what you get. The vibe is not great with kids. It feels like some of the staff (not all) don't want kids there, which doesn't make for a great experience for parents or kids. My other critique is that this place tries to stride the line between being a coffee shop and a restaurant, but there's room for improvement with the execution. The outside area feels like a place where you would casually drink coffee and work/hang out/etc. But it's treated like seating at a restaurant where the staff wants to move you along to make room for the next party. Even if that's not intended, it ends up being the vibe when servers check on you multiple times. I would suggest treating the inside seating area like a regular restaurant where it's expected that you'll eat and move on--and then treating the back area like a coffee shop where people will spend varying amounts of time and don't feel pressured to leave. I think the vibe would be less stuffy overall that way.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
Been here a couple times. Really love the space and the staff. Was disappointed by our recent lunch however. We ordered the soup and a salad with chicken. Within minutes our food arrived. The soup was only room temperature and the salad came with refrigerator cold chicken. I would much more prefer a salad with freshly grilled warm chicken. We did send the soup back to be warmed and the waiter apologized as he agreed it was not at proper temperature . It felt a bit lazy to bring the food out so quickly and not check temperature, we could see they had a full staff in the kitchen so a bit surprising that quality was missed.

Yelp
What a cool and chill neighborhood cafe in Retro Row. There is some street and lot parking in the area but get there early because it does get busy. We made a brunch reservation for a Saturday early afternoon. As soon as you walk in, you are invited into their home which makes you feel invited. Decor gives off a modern farmhouse style which is my fave so I really enjoyed it. Our waiter was great and was the sweetest guy ever. He gave us recommendations on what are some of the favorites and also took our drink order. I ordered the Blueberry Muffin Latte and my boyfriend got the Pistachio Rose Cold Brew. My latte was so pretty that I didn't want to drink so I made sure to capture the beauty of it. I was a little scared that it was going to be super sweet but I think the cinnamon added that smoky flavor. It was great. As for food, I ended up ordering the Spiced Apple French Toast and it was delicious and beautiful. The french toast is drizzled lightly with syrup so it didn't overtake the taste. Everything was fresh and sweet enough for me. The flowers added a sweet touch to it too. So if you are looking for a great place for brunch in a cool neighborhood, I highly recommend coming here. Pay for parking in the lot and add some extra time so you can explore the shops in the area. Such a cool Saturday afternoon for us and soon for you!

Yelp
Very good food and the service was on top. My family and I will definitely come back. We drove from orange to long beach just to try out this restaurant.

Yelp
Had to come back and add some more photos of the beautiful and tasty food Alder & Sage serves. My partner and I sat outside this was our Valentine's Day brunch paired with London Fogs it was wonderful Service here is always great never leaving you to sit and wait/wonder where they are. Everything on this menu from drinks to food is fantastic Great spot for a girls brunch or brunch with your partner
google avatar

Ryna D.

Yelp
I've been admiring Alder & Sage from afar for some time and I finally got a chance to come in for a solo lunch/brunch. First, I have to say, I love the interior! The furniture and decor is chic but simultaneously warm and inviting. Even their back patio set up looks so nice! I will need to come back again and spend more time here. The coffee/espresso is excellent and I love the food menu. It's a bit pricey in my opinion but the food was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to more solo lunches here in the future.

Yelp
Love a good farm to table as they always have the freshest ingredients. This restro serves simple yet flavorful food. If you're looking for something light and delicious this is a good spot. I got the omelette and it was delicious. The ambiance is farmhouse and cute. Street parking wasn't too hard to come by on a Friday early afternoon.
google avatar

Sofia S.

Yelp
The service was excellent, and the ambiance is absolutely charming--definitely a great spot if you're into aesthetic, cozy vibes. We tried the Mazapán Latte, which was delicious and a unique highlight of the meal. For food, we ordered the Mojo Pork Hash and the Ricotta French Toast. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short-- the French toast was quite dry, and the pork hash lacked flavor. Overall, it felt like the focus was more on presentation and atmosphere than on the food itself, especially considering the $24 price tag per entrée. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but we'd likely come back just for coffee and the ambiance rather than a full meal.
google avatar

Jonathan F.

Yelp
Usually when in this side of town you usually want to hit the Social List or Lola's, but my girl and I found this cute little spot. Alder and Sage is a coffee shop with lovely inside and outside dining, this restaurant was probably one of the first where the inside was less wait time compared to outside haha I totally understand though the outside was very nice for your furry friend, kids and just friends meeting to have some caffeine or a meal. I had the bistro burger and it was delicious the bun was great and with the aioli sauce on the side and I asked for an over easy egg on and put it in there definitely the move delicious we also enjoyed the half carafe mimosa that came with pomegranate, orange and grapefruit juice for 22 serves 2 drinks a piece can't beat that. My girl ordered the soyrizo hash it was vegan but had a mole sauce with salsa verde it was really flavorful and delicious. Would definitely come again to try the coffee and chilaquiles.

Yelp
Had a lovely brunch here. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was great. They have a wonderful drink menu and several unique latte options. I loved the matcha. Plenty of parking outside. The ambiance is great! Decorated beautifully!

Yelp
I have been to alder and sage four times in the past month and each time it is absolutely delicious! I have tried their French toast which is sweet but not overly so. Their dish with potatoes and carnitas was perfectly seasoned and more than plenty for one person maybe even two depending on your appetite. The chai lattes are the best I have ever tasted! I have even tried the pumpkin chai lattes and no other place compares. A must !!!! Also their pastries are elite and I had their matcha pistachio croissant which is 11/10 and their passion fruit pastry which is also 11/10. The apple pocket is yummy but not as sweet. Great to me but important to note if you are looking for a sweet pastry. I'll be a regular here for years to come!
google avatar

Sally W.

Yelp
Great brunch and coffee spot near Long Beach's Fourth Street neighborhood. After trying their coffee a few times, their brioche French toast drew me in. It was delicious! Relaxing chill vibe, but was also super packed. I highly recommend you make a reservation via the Toast app. Friendly service!
google avatar

Geronimo T.

Yelp
Went here for morning brunch. The wait time was less then 5 minutes. Was welcomed in and seated at a table. The ambiance was chill. Reminded me of a Starbucks sitting with the cast of the friends show. Everyone having their conversations while seated, since the tables are so close to each other, it's so convenient to easedrops on everyone's discussion. Haha Ordered a BLT and Avocado Egg sandwhich. Received within minutes. All were good. Alot of bread makes up for the sandwhich which can easily stuff you. Overall it was decent. Service was friendly. Ambiance is comfortable. Overall, I would come back pending on my mood. The negative about this location. Parking is very difficult to find! I had to pay for $7.85 for parking at a 2hr limit. If you are lucky you can bypass the parking fee by either getting lucky or parking a few blocks away. Water tasted like tap water. Did not taste fresh at all. Menu is limited, not too much to choose from. The mimosa was good along with assorted juice flavors. The main thing I noticed at this location.... drum roll.... This place is expensive!! Pretty much sandwiches are $20 and over. Adding adult beverages and parking.. just adds to it. For a party of 2 your looking almost at $80. It's a cool ambiance but would not be my first choice for breakfast. If you want more for the buck and additonal selections of options. This place is not for you. Nice and friendly establishment. Food is good.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe that is perfect for a weekend brunch! This cute and trendy spot is at the center of Retro Row on 4th Street in Long Beach. All their dishes are farm to table fresh and sourced from the local area. I ordered the classic breakfast with the chicken sausage and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken sausage was super fresh and very well seasoned, I loved the flavor! I was expecting more from the French toast, it was good, but the bread just lacked flavor. I also tasted the pulled pork hash and it was great! I had to also order a coffee and decided on one of their seasonal options. I got the Pistachio Rose Cold Foam Cold Brew which was amazing!!! The service was great, our server was really nice. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Artsy and tranquil little neighbor cafe to grab an excellent drink or snack at. We tried the Matcha and Sage Rosemary Lattes and both satisfied our cravings immensely. The Matcha was not overly sweet and just perfect and the Sage Latte had the perfect notes of Sage and Rosemary in it accompanying the espresso. I particularly loved the outdoor patio as it's such a gorgeous spot to just relax and enjoy your drink at. And I appreciated how the staff brought out the drinks promptly with a smile. I'd recommend a visit here if you're around the area!
google avatar

Jeanivic A.

Yelp
Modern, cozy & cute brunch spot! There's also a good amount of seating outside, which is really cute also. They are next to a parking lot, however, you'll have to pay for it. The staff is really nice. They have a good variety of food options. I was between ordering the smoked salmon tartine and the avocado tartine. The waitress recommended the avocado tartine and I added the egg, which this dish was very flavorful and refreshing. I also added their house spicy sauce, which elevated the dish even more. I also ordered their white chocolate strawberry croissant which had a good amount of sweetness, flakiness, and fluffiness. I wish I ordered one of their coffees since it seemed like that's what they're popular for but I already had a cup prior to arriving. I'll just have to come back in the future when I'm in the area!
google avatar

Jasmin H.

Yelp
I love this breakfast / brunch location. It features organically and locally sources products. The portions are somewhat small. But each and every bite is delicious. I also like the seasonal features coffee and tea specialty drinks. The French toast is awesome

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday and service was rushed + food could've been better. The server was definitely rushing to get orders in and I wasn't able to call out after her to add more before she ran off. I also took her suggestion to get a pork hash and it was really soggy and bland. I did ask to switch and ended up ordering a la carte (salad with a side of chicken and crispy potatoes on the side). The potatoes were not crispy and while the chicken was cooked well (very tender!), it was also very bland. The salad was just ok. I also got an iced London fog and that was extremely watered down and the foam dissipated almost immediately. Lastly we had reservations and they sat us directly in front of the DJ so we also couldn't hear each other.

Yelp
Alder and Sage is my new favorite brunch spot in LB. Good coffees and good brunch alc drinks too. From the outside it may look small but, but once you get inside it looks amazing and the outdoor patio is nice too. Our server Cole, was amazing answered all our questions, was patient with us, we loved Cole. Our MEXICAN MOCHA & STRAWBERRY FOAM LATTE, we're both delicious, also prolly one of the best ESPRESSO MARTINIS, we ever had. Usually CHICKEN MILANESA is in a sandwich but, I see why it's just plain, best chicken I ever had and it's chicken!!!! My friend fell in love with the country bread from her sandwich. One small BEWARE (not to do with Alder) There's a small parking lot that you have to pay, make sure you pay that extra hour, my session ended 1:08, got the ticket 1:09, and paid for breakfast 1:11. They will wait for your session to be over!
google avatar

Alexa D.

Yelp
Alder and Sage is very cute and has good ambiance, but the food really didn't impress me, especially for the price. I came here for a weekday breakfast and the service was quick and friendly. Our waiter was helpful and checked on us just the right amount. I got the French omelette and it had great texture but almost no flavor. The side salad it came with was great. I also loved that they had hibiscus tea! It was a cute experience, but nothing too special and the price is a bit high for the quality.
google avatar

Soul D.

Yelp
Food was overpriced, service was basic and if I had been wearing semi professional instead of sweats I probably would've been treated better, seated in the cozy corner, etc. but it was clear they didn't think I would tip or purchase something substantial because I'm not their demographic. Employees were loitering at the only table with WiFi and access to outlets. Wack.
google avatar

Nav R.

Yelp
Solid brunch spot. Long wait. We weren't blown away but the food overall tasted good. Nice indoor outdoor vibe.

Yelp
Alder & Sage is my neighborhood cafe and I've been there a number of times. I will often walk here for a cold brew, a pastry, but rarely will I come here for lunch or breakfast. While the ambiance is super cute and they have a great outdoor patio, their menu does feel a bit overpriced most of the time. Most recently, I came here and got a classic breakfast for $18. 2 eggs, toast, and some bacon. I left slightly hungry and wondering about the home fries. Of course, home fries probably were extra, but I forgot to ask. All in all, if you're not on a budget and like a trendy hotspot, Alder & Sage is a good visit, but for those that live in the neighborhood; I honestly feel priced out of enjoying a lunch or breakfast here, and that's just my honest take. I'll still come here and I'm grateful it exists, but I can't really afford to support this place more than once or twice a year, and I wish it were different.

Bella L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots!! I love the vibe, food, and drinks. It's one of the places I like to take someone for brunch. My favorite drink in the past was the seasonal shaken spanish rose latte. However, all the drinks I've gotten have been great so far. I have a preference for the beans from rose park roasters and they use their beans in some of their drinks. For food, my go to item is the salmon tartine. I did have a friend who said the portion sizes were smaller than what they are used to for the price (specifically for the tartine). While I somewhat agree, I still think it is worth it. The quality of the ingredients are very fresh and the taste reflects that. They also have other menu items that have more components on the plate like the quiche or burger. My personal all-time pick is the Crab Benedict but they do not always have it. If you're lucky and it's a special for the day, I say go for it!! I really appreciate all the events they have. It makes a difference when a location is active in the community. They take the time to work with other small businesses in the area. Overall, this place is really great and I wish them all the best going forward!

Yelp
This is one of the cutest brunch spots I've been to. I used to live out in the Long Beach area, but it's been a while every time I come back there's always a new hidden gem to discover for girls brunch. We chose this place because you can easily make reservations, the ambience is really pretty and relaxing, and the food looks really good. We shared a few dishes, like the French toast which was our sweet dish, for savory we had the sausages which were a little bit more on the sweet side than expected, and then we had the Turkish eggs which come on a pink bed of cream sauce highly recommend it. It was really good and very aesthetic. We didn't have any cocktails, but stuck to tea and coffee. There is a public lot where you can pay, but it gets pretty crowded. There is also street parking but you'd have better luck in the lot.

Yelp
Love this place; great atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food. I had the whiskey caramel latte and it was so delicious. It had the whiskey flavor without the alcohol with beautiful presentation too. The chicken Milanese was divine, chicken was flavorful and so moist you could cut it with a fork. The patio is so relaxing and they grow their own herbs for their food. I saw a chef come out and grab something and head back to the kitchen.

Yelp
Cute spot for brunch in Long Beach. Paid parking lot adjacent that is large. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Turkish eggs were so good. I could have eaten another one! Everything tasted fresh. The pastries looked delish. Can't wait to try the other things on the menu.

Yelp
The patio at Alder & Sage is such a vibe. It's spacious, sunny, and all things Long Beach. I came for brunch and ordered the quiche of the day ($18). Luckily for me, it was a curry flavored + broccoli (I think) quiche so it was right up my alley. The hearty quiche was perfectly eggy with just the right amount of bounce. It came with a side of mixed greens so health, obviously. The golden grain bowl ($20) was also fire. It comes with quinoa, farro, freekeh, golden dressing, cherry tomatoes, marinated Persian cucumbers, pickled currents, spiced chickpeas, tender herbs + sesame seeds. If you're looking for something healthy and hearty, the golden grain bowl is your guy. Tbh, Alder & Sage is more atmospheric than food, but I will certainly be back.

Yelp
Really enjoying this place everytime I'm in the neighborhood. They have a fantastic backyard where you can just unwired and chilled (dogs are welcome). The staff are lovely and very helpful when you just want the best and they got you. The food and drinks are just lovely but the prices can be on the high end but it worth it. They do have indoor and full menu for lunch and dinner. I only come here for the coffee and the breakfast. Great place just hanging in the back yard and read a really good book.

Yelp
First time trying an eatery in Long Beach for a girls gathering. The inside of the place was super cute, they have an inside dinning area as well as an outside. We sat outside due to the weather being hot. I had a classic breakfast plate. The portion I would say is pretty decent as it was just enough to get me full and not lethargic. My friends also thought the portions were decent for the price range. I also got the ube matcha, you can def see they're no skimpy of the matcha powder however I would say for the price range I was done with the drink in about 5 sips so I wouldn't get it again for the price range. It's a cute little establishment and service is friendly and accommodating since we were a party of 6. I would come here again for a little casual get together.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, great seating, service was excellent and fast! Especially for a Sunday! The food was delicious, I ordered the egg and mushroom quiche and it was crispy, creamy, divine. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.
