Aldi and H-Mart Open Their First Las Vegas Stores on the Same Day | Eater Vegas

"This budget-focused German supermarket chain, known for low-priced and private-label products, will open April 24 at 9 a.m. at 621 Marks Street at Sunset Road in Henderson. The first 100 customers will receive gift bags; shoppers should bring a quarter to unlock a cart (refunded on return) and bring or purchase bags, as customers bag their own groceries. An online guide is available for new shoppers." - Janna Karel

Las Vegas May Be Getting Its First Aldi | Eater Vegas

"A German-based discount grocer is planning what would be its first Nevada location in a space formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond near Sunset Road and Marks Street in Henderson. The chain is known for low-price private-label products and strict cost-cutting measures—customers bag their own groceries and must insert a refundable coin to use a shopping cart—to keep prices down. No projected opening date has been announced." - Janna Karel

Absolutely love this Aldi - coming from Germany. I wish more locals would get their produce and items from Aldi vs Walmart. Quality and price on point vs same items from Walmart. Staff are really great and helpful and store whilst small (5 isles) immaculate clean! Doing my weekly shop at Aldi whilst in the country and convincing my boyfriend to start going there as well. Get your reusable bags and a quarter and thank me later

NIGHTSHADE found in Spinach bag. Protect yourselves. We bought it Sunday October 5th. We wanted a salad Monday night October 6th. It is nearly impossible to find a phone number to call anyone to warn them about their poisoned products. Ephesians 6:11. Be safe and check your food before you eat it. 621 Marks St, Henderson, NV 89014 is where I made the purchase.

Love that we have one out here now!!!! Prices are slightly cheaper than WinCo for some things, but we still prefer Aldi due to cleaner ingredients and way more variety for healthy treats and drinks. And as always, love the home aisle haha, never know what you’ll find each week. We walked out with a cart full for less than $200. (Just a few pics for price comparison that I could add that people weren’t in the shot, opening day was packed!)

This was the most disorganized grocery store I've EVER SEEN in Las Vegas. It was like I was in a badly run dollar store. The pictures speak for this non grocery shopping day.

Google
This store offers excellent deals and a great selection of products. However, I’ve removed one star because, during my last several visits, there have been individuals—both juveniles and adults—loitering near the entrance and asking for money. It would be great if Aldi management could take steps to address this issue. Aside from that concern, the store remains a pleasant place to shop with much to offer its customers.

Google
make sure you bring a 25 cents coin so you can get a shopping cart (you'll get back your coin once you're done shopping) if you don bring your shopping bags the you most likely will buy them (they don't offer single use bags) I'm an Aldi shopper in multiple locations, this one here is the most clean and organized Aldi stores I've visited. KUDOS to management!

Aldi has officially opened with its soft opening today 4/23/25. As expected there is a huge selection of fresh and organic foods. There are dozens of staff and management overseeing the opening and helping each and every shopper. The frozen food section is expensive and HomeGoods seems to have shrunk compared to other stores with a focus on maximizing space so all the normal goodies are there. As expected it's clean and bright with some of the freshest vegetables and fruit in the area. Avoid the ice cream section as there is too much variety and if you're on a diet it will make you compromise. This Aldi takes Cash, Debit, Credit Card and Tap to pay with the standard you provide your own bag or buy one for a few cents. The wine and beer section is still in flight so don't expect to get any of that amazing Aldi Sangria just yet. Hopefully this will be stocked and available for shoppers soon.

Google
I love Aldi’s . I’m so glad we have one in Henderson. I was excited to hear this store was coming out here. Every trip we took to California, we would Always stop At Aldi’s on the way home . It’s like getting a big Christmas present at Christmas time growing up 🤫🤣. I had a huge smile on my face and 5pm couldn’t come quick enough today at work , so we can get our groceries. 😊

Yelp
Aldi! Well they opened this location in late April 2025, and what a response it received. Opening day was a spectacle of it's own. Your experience? ....Quarter in the slot wins you a cart. You shop the store which is amazingly clean and you'll see that their prices are almost undefeated! Seriously if you do a comparison on some popular items you may be amazed. The store is on the small size and the selection may not be as vast but what they do have will definitely impact your decision to shop here. bring bags, or buy them at the store....the ALDI way. When you are done and satisfied you return the cart and get your quarter back. What other slot gives you a refund in Vegas,....err um Henderson?! It's the same company that owns Trader Joe's...if ya know ya know *wink wink*

Yelp
This is my favorite Aldi in the valley right now...they had everything I was looking for and some things that were on discount like the holiday ritz crackers. The price point is amazing and the quality of food here is so much better for you...the ingredients are much cleaner than an average grocery store, without having to pay Whole food or Sprout prices. I will try to get here every time I happen to be in the area.....

Yelp
Welcome our newest grocery store in town - aldi's. They just opened so of course it's clean and there are some empty shelves which is expected. Pretty busy though for just opening, I heard good things about other locations. You'll most likely find your normal groceries here.. produce, frozen items, bread, snacks, canned food, drinks, household items, etc.. but some specific items you might not be able to find them here. They seem to have only a few name brand items but many other brands I've never seen before. Lines were long but went quickly. The cashiers have you bag your items to the side once they ring you up. No self checkout it seemed. Busy plaza since it's next to Best Buy - if you come during a slower time I'm sure it'll be better.

Yelp
First day "preview", grand opening tomorrow 24th. First impression is not as much I wanted to buy as far as groceries. Some good deals tho and love the gourmet cheese selection. I was excited to see the Aldi Finds, I got some solar lights. I will definitely shop here regularly. The unique product offerings and competitive prices are worth a weekly visit. Alcohol coming later!

Yelp
First visit: It was my first time going, and overall it was just an okay experience. I didn't really understand the cart system, though the cashiers were very friendly and helpful. The store felt a bit crowded, honestly. It didn't quite live up to the hype I'd heard from others who shop at Aldi on the East Coast. I ended up buying only two items. I'd probably go again at some point, but I don't see it becoming a regular stop for me. Second visit: On my second visit, I again only picked up two small items. I noticed that a lot of the food options weren't particularly healthy, and the prices were about the same as other grocery stores. For me, it just didn't feel worth it. I don't think I'll be returning, as it seems like Aldi simply doesn't cater to what I'm looking for.

Yelp
I do not understand all these silly negative reviews. This isn't Nordstroms, nor should be comparing it as such. Alsdi offers a great variety of fresh produce, prepared foods, deli meats and cheese and frozen items, as well as home goods and seasonal treasures. It's no frills to keep prices low. I bag my own items, easy peasy. I don't always shop here only because it's not near my house. But I will always stop by when I'm in the area. I get what I pay for, and it's a win / win.

Yelp
Love that Aldi came to Vegas. Prices are very reasonable and staff are super friendly. If you haven't been come see what all the hype is about. This is going to be one of my grocery go too's.

Taylor D.

Yelp
The prices are great for the basics but for meats I'd honestly suggest Costco or some other grocery store. The customers are just as clueless as the ones in Trader Joe's so be prepared to be annoyed at everyone around you. As for the customer service, I'd rate that the lowest. In all the times I've been here, never had anyone offered any help, especially when they'd seen me literally climbing inside their fridges because product wasn't pushed forward. And while I appreciate the low prices, the cashiers need to be more careful when they're doing checkouts. Every time they're literally THROWING my groceries into the basket with no regard if it's a glass item or if they knock a lid loose and something starts to leak.

Yelp
Clean store without all the fanfare or blocked isles. Ok selection of produce and other products. Very nice employees that seemed happy. The deli meat and cheese was great and just the right amount for the prices, the bread was fresh and their version of the sugar free Red Bull was actually very good and the price way better. The produce was good and worth the price as well. Sweet grapes and strawberries. The downfall is not many major brands, which is fine, you need a quarter to use the shopping cart and bring your own bags unless you want to purchase them starting at .15 and up. You also have to bag your own purchases.

Yelp
I am from the Midwest where there are a ton of Aldi locations, so very excited that this Aldi is here in Henderson now that I live here. The reviews with the low scores related to paying a quarter for a cart (which you get back when you return your cart) or the 'bag your own items' policies at Aldi are clearly new to the Aldi experience. Aldi has low prices because they don't have to pay extra employees to bag groceries and retrieve carts that people just leave haphazardly all over the parking lot. This is the case at all Aldi locations and really isn't a big deal. Also, yes it's true that they don't carry a large selection of brand name items. Again, this is part of Aldi's pricing strategy. They can offer great prices because most of their items are 'store brand', however they are not lesser in quality. Many are exactly the same as brand name and others are exactly the same as Trader Joe's (Aldi and Trader Joe's have the same parent company). With that said, this is a very nice (and large!) Aldi. I was impressed! The cashier was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back / this may be our go-to for groceries now that we are all moved in.

Taylor V.

Yelp
Horrible experience. The shopping part of it was fine but when we get to checkout the cashier Angela was very rude. Threw everything into the cart the chicken package ended up ripping. The sodas went flying into the cart. She just threw everything into the cart I understand if she was in a rush or if there was a line but there was not. She had no manners whatsoever and I hope she sees this to know not to treat customers like this. It was very unfortunate to be treated like this.

Yelp
Just stopped by for the first time since the grand opening. This place was unorganized, messy, garbage on the floor. Nothing like the Aldi stores I've been to on the east Coast. Customers were rude letting their kids run all over. Bad atmosphere. I will make it rule to never go back to that store.

Yelp
The idea of Aldi opening in Henderson didn't meet any expectations. Overrated... this place is small, has off-brand junk goods and limited selection overall. On a positive, the cashier guy and door security guy were very nice Drive 2 blocks to Target, or 2 miles to Smith's instead!

Yelp
I moved here from Maryland. Aldi was one of my favorite stores there. When I found out this was opening here in Las Vegas I was so excited. Not anymore. Have been three times now, and totally unimpressed. Used to be so much fun to find new and interesting things. Not only has it gotten more expensive than it ever was but they're out of everything. I understand everything has gone up but they don't even come close to what I can get at other stores. Just went in there for two things they were out of both. I'm done three times the charm. I'm sad but I won't be back.

Yelp
My mom ordered from them through Instacart and it was by far the worst experience she's ever had. The store wouldn't let the driver get any bags to bag the order and it was a larger order. So the poor driver had to load loose items into their car and then when delivering to the house had to walk individual items to the door. The driver couldn't even buy bags separately!!!!! Aldi needs to do better with the dumb bag policy.

Johnathon B.

Yelp
Got here first thing in the morning, found coffee at a crazy deal and threw some in the cart. My wife watched the employees change the discount from .49 cents to 2.99. The digital tags can be swapped at the drop of a hat. Red hot deals sound like red hot scams.

Yelp
First time at Aldis today. Looks like a success. Prices were pretty good, but no name brands, or few name brands. Definitely better than Albertsons, Smiths and Sprouts. The store was smaller than I expected, but it was pretty nice. Something for first time buyers, you need a quarter to retrieve a shopping cart, I'm good with that, you get the quarter back. Hopefully people won't be stealing them. You need to bring your own bags, or they have boxes, kind of like Sam's Club. Bananas, milk and lots of things you use all the time had good prices. I think they have bags, but I you must purchase. They had good selections on some items. A good place for fruits, veggies, some items are expensive, but nothing like Smiths or Albertsons. I liked it and will return. Cashier was very nice. Check it out when you get a chance. It was busy, looks like people are likely the place. No rewards, but let's see what happens

Craig M.

Yelp
terrible !!!! this is the 2nd time I have purchased pork chops from you and both times the meat is bad stinks and can't even cook. Tried calling your store and what a surprise you have no working numbers to speak with someone. Stay away from here this place is a joke !!!!!!

Joe K.

Yelp
Empty shelves and rude staff. Random brands I've never heard of. Prices aren't that cheap considering it's off brand. Kinda of a dollar store vibe but much more expensive. If you want to check it out and want a cart brink a quarter. You will also need to bring your own bag because they don't have any. I definitely will not be back.

Chris K.

Yelp
Disappointing! Two visits since opening day. Today's experience was on the plus side since not many other folk shopping. Noticed a lot of empty sections in produce and bakery (first thing in the morning!) No greeting cards! Nothing unusual to buy and try! Perhaps we should not compare this new Aldi store to their British counterparts (where we do the bulk of our shopping during our 6 week stays) and maybe we shouldn't compare to Temecula and Bakersfield in California but I do because I can't help it. This is just a let down after waiting for Aldi to open for business in Henderson Las Vegas. (And the parking lot is no big deal...it's a strip mall, what else do you want the parking to be like?)

King J.

Yelp
Got caught up in all the hype, waited 9 days after opening to visit. Well, not impressed. Crowded and too small. About the size of 2 7-Elevens. Limited selection or about 25% of what a real grocery store has. Annoying 25 cents for cart, like who carries quarters around with them now days. Get to check out and then they let you know you have to purchase bags for your groceries. Staff attempting to stock shelves when it is crowded with shoppers making it very inconvenient since the isles are tiny to begin with. No healthy bread selections. Limited meats cuts to choose from. And yes, the staff needs better customer relations training.

Fame C.

Yelp
Really bad grand opening waited for hours for gift cards they said they would give out, just for them to give me a 10$ gift card wasn't worth it at all, very disappointed.

Ray C.

Yelp
First off the parking lot lanes seem narrower that most lots making getting in and out of parking spots and passing other vehicles in the lanes difficult. I will not go back just because the parking is scary. Not that great. Some items, like the cheese, seem good. Other items, not so much. The bananas were in big bunches and when I tried to pick up a bunch they were all mushy. Maybe too many hands had already tried to pick them up. I bought a bag of peaches that looked good. About half the peaches had a kind of chemical taste. I don't know what was on or in them, but I would not take a chance. I threw the rest of the bag away. Tomatoes were in plastic shells. They looked really good. However, the next day after taking them out of the plastic shells they had already developed spots. Any savings here is nullified by having to throw stuff away. I will not go back. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and nice.
