Aldi and H-Mart Open Their First Las Vegas Stores on the Same Day | Eater Vegas

"This budget-focused German supermarket chain, known for low-priced and private-label products, will open April 24 at 9 a.m. at 2106 West Craig Road near North M.L.K. Boulevard in North Las Vegas. The first 100 customers will receive gift bags; shoppers should bring a quarter for the cart deposit and bring or buy bags since customers bag their own groceries." - Janna Karel

Some produce is sold pre-packaged, so not a lot of loose fruit sold by weight. Bring your own bags or you'll have to buy them there. And bring a quarter if you want to use a cart! No cart wipes available. Great grass-fed ground beef & chicken deals!

I was really looking forward to visiting Aldi Nord in Las Vegas, expecting something close to the Aldi experience we know from Germany. Unfortunately, this store has absolutely nothing in common with a true German Aldi. The selection is extremely limited, and as a German customer, you definitely don’t feel welcome here. Everything is in Spanish and English, with a heavy focus on Spanish products. I could only find two German items — both were chocolate. Prices are completely overpriced compared to what Aldi promises elsewhere. The quality is terrible: during the grand opening, all the strawberries were moldy, and the taste was just as disappointing. Please don’t think that this is what an Aldi looks like in Germany — it’s completely different and much better there. Even the Aldi stores in Los Angeles offer a much bigger selection of German products than this one. One major disappointment is also the complete lack of an Aldi bakery. There is no fresh bread, no baked goods at all. The management clearly failed in delivering the concept customers expect from an Aldi store. Overall, the concept of this store completely misses the mark. A huge letdown!

It was my first time shopping in Aldi. I've been back since. Really like the store layout. Felt more comfortable moving around my second visit. Nice selection of foods. Prices are good in some areas, but not so good in others, like any other small supermarket. Definitely not a wow factor on the prices, but just OK. Of course I will shop there again in the future. Thanks! God bless.

Sooo okay I went to Aldi's in Milwaukee for the first. I was impressed with it. I was thrilled to know it came to North Las Vegas not far from my home. I must admit I have a little addiction to their cheese pizza. I add turkey pepperoni sometimes and it compares to frozen cheese pizzas from the supermarket. Although sometimes there are long lines they move very quickly. I'm glad they sell gluten free bread choices. You've created a loyal customer.

The quality at Aldi has diminished. I don't know if it's just this particular Aldi, but my experiences have been different in other locations. Today, I sent my spouse to return a spoiled item, and the "twice as nice policy" was not honored. This is the second spoiled item I have gotten from there. The first time, I didn't make a big deal, but the second time, we wanted a refund. My spouse expressed that they are selling items that are about to expire at their full price. Not cool. If this happens again, we are not shopping here anymore. Do better, Aldi! I know you can offer Las Vegas better quality than this.

We visited the new Aldi in Las Vegas during its opening week, drawn by the buzz. The store was incredibly crowded, making it hard to explore thoroughly. From what I saw, it resembled a small local Trader Joe's but with more brand-name products. Due to the overwhelming crowds, we left early but plan to return in a month or two when it's less busy to get a better sense of the store.

With all the hype I expected more. First this store isn't very big. With any kind of crowd, it gets crowded easily. Being a small store, variety is not the greatest. I had heard about an "aisle of shame" not at this store. There was an aisle called "Aldi finds" maybe this is supposed to be the aisle of shame. That aisle seemed like a waste of space that could have been used for more grocery items. Visit and judge for yourself. I didn't see any reason to visit again.

Way too many people with extra large shopping carts, fortunately aisles are wide enough. Good selection on organic items at good prices. Cashier lady was friendly and fast check out. Will be back at some point once things settle down. Also, you may want to consider bringing your own bags since they only have paper bags and they are not free. Edit: It's very inconvenient at the register trying to bag your groceries when you don't have a shopping cart.
