Absolutely loved it there! Was In-N-Out extremely friendly! Got exactly what I wanted and Ivan and Karla We’re so very sweet to me and helped me get exactly what I wanted! It was my first time at that location and I definitely will be going back! super happy with the purchase that I got❤️

My favorite store location to go to, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Madeline and Serena both help me picked out the best shoes for my dress. Also, they recommended me the best shoe shiner EVER!!!!!!!!! Everyone from my classes loves it girls !! Thank you ! You have no idea how much time I have just with the easy sponge:)))

I've been searching all over 5th Ave for a particular type of boots. Zara, Banana Republic, etc. were of no help. I'm so relieved to be ending my pursuit. The staff members were courteous and attentive. Raheem, the gentleman with the platinum-blond hair, helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I've got my eye on a few other shoes, so I'll be back.

SERENA AND IVAN SAVED MY LIFE. Serena and Ivan let me into the store right before closing because I had a shoe emergency. They helped me find the perfect pair of heels for my dress and were incredibly kind and helpful. I literally owe them my life. They both deserve a raise and paid vacation!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Terrible service, you could tell they didn't want to grab the shoes you asked for. Pretty much ignored us after asking for a second shoe since they never returned. Also sold us a dirty display shoe. I'm not even mad that they didn't discount it (I'm sure 10% would have killed their sales goal..yeah right) but more so the fact they pretended to wipe it down knowing damn well where the dirt was, it wasn't going to come off. Just piss poor customer service. They are lucky we needed the shoes badly otherwise it would have been an easy pass. Aldo, it's time for some new management.

I visited this location days before Christmas while I was visiting New York and staying in Times Square. I have to say, the manager at this "Flagship" location has the worst managerial/customer service skills I have ever experienced. Not only did he NOT try to find a solution to the problem (design and manufacturing flaw in the shoe), but he also blamed ME for walking in the shoe outside of the store AFTER buying the shoe the night before! He made himself look like a complete joke of a leader/CSR in the middle of the store. People in the store clearly felt uncomfortable with his tone, delivery of his message, and what he was saying. I know I was on vacation, but I would NEVER visit this location again! The SoHo location was much nicer and the staff there seemed to know what they were doing! Aldo needs to do a better job in training their employees to deal with their public. This "manager" clearly was an unhappy individual, and I simply walked away feeling bad for how miserable he must be in his life. :(

Worst customer service I've EVER EXPERIENCED especially on Fifth Avenue. I went to return a brand new bag that was not final sale had to wait for a manager who ripped open the bag said it was not in the original packaging shoved it in my face and said he couldn't sell it I should read my receipt and walked away from me. No wonder this store is EMPTY with customers do NOT shop here

If you've seen one Aldo store you have seen them all. Place was pretty busy around noon. There was enough staff walking around making sure everyone was being helped. I was in and out of the store without a problem.

I went to this store a couple of days before xmas. I wanted to buy a pair of boots but they didn't have anything I really liked. There was one pair that was okay, I tried it on and it fit right. However I told the woman helping me I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy them, because it wasn't really my style. She was very pushy about selling it (maybe they have a commission quota?) And she even said "you have 3 months to return it in case you don't like them" - so I said to myself..."I'll buy them and just ask my boyfriend if I don't like them I'll return them" perfect scenario right? Well...I told the woman if I can please get a new pair and not the floor sample. She said they didn't have any more "new pairs " but the last 2 pairs were all out in the floor. I told her if I was going to have a problem returning them in case I decided to since they were the floor samples (both right and left shoe). She assured me I would be able to return them as long as it was during the 3 months. She even gave me a "floor discount " to encourage me to buy them. She also said that as long as I have the receipt and the box it would be ok. Turned out my boyfriend didn't like them, and I didn't love them anyway so I decided to return them after the holidays. On Jan. 3rd I went to the store...and they are permanently closed! So I went to the nearest aldo..(2 blocks away) on 6th and 48 ave. The woman that helped me told me I couldn't return them because they were used! I explained to her the situation and even told her I was willing to get a credit ($190) and she said no. The only option she gave me was to exchange them. So I was being pushed to buy something again? Terrible experience. Now I'm stuck with a pair of boots I don't like and $190 less in my account. Thanks for lying to your clients Aldo!

Its 10:10am on Wednesday morning. Im standing outside the door along with a few other people and the door is locked. I see a few associates, who clearly make eye contact with me but don't acknowledge me. I call them and ask them if they're open at 10am. He says yes. So i explain to him how I'm outside and the door is locked. He has the nerve to tell me "we're doing something. We'll open the doors in about 10mins". Im sorry but that is ridiculous! That is not customer service! It your supposed to open at 10am then your customers expect you to be open at 10am!

Its December, i stop by Aldo before work bc I know the exact pair of shoes i want to buy for my holiday party...but they're not letting me in. It's now 10:05am (supposed to open at 10) and they're still not opening the doors for me. HORRIBLE! Do they $ to burn by turning away customers. Not reliable and bad impression.

Aldo has fantastic fun shoes, great customer service, and occasionally good sales. This location is well lit and very clean and managed well. (Granted its Fifth Ave and this is probably a flagship location, so hey! Good things all around). The sales person took time to help me with a complicated return, called the manager over when necessary, and was super patient.

Mixed review , I had a very nice young man help me late evening on Wednesday night . I explained to him that I needed to catch my 9pm bus , he quickly brought up the shoes I selected and had them at the cash wrap for me , there was just one lady in front of me and the woman paying at the register and a couple of ladies behind me ready to pay .There seemed to be a problem processing the sale with the woman paying . We were waiting a few minutes so I asked the young man if it was possible for someone to start ringing us up at another register, the cashier abruptly yelled out with a nasty attitude across two customers "you cannot let her skip " At that point nothing more needed to said so I left the shoes and apologized to the young man who helped me . He was very nice and but the staff needs better training on how to speak and respond to customers . The cashier was very rude and did not seem to care if she upset or agitated a customer or if the store lost a sale .

I don't ever write any reviews but definitely had to do it here. I walked in this location to purchase shoes for wear for my friend wedding. I was excited to go in to an Aldo store for the first time as it was an Night mare experience and I wouldn't recommend this store at all to anyone. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money in shoes I was only going to wear one day. A representative who was very helpful with me kindly demo a few shoes that was on the 50% off. As I went online I checked to see if the shoe was cheaper online or had a coupon I can use which online said if I sign up I can use 15% off my shoes online and In store which I tried. I asked the representative can I use the coupon and she said her manager Stephanie doesn't allow it in that location due to a store policy which was a lie when I called customer service and called two other stores. The manager lied to me about using the coupon so that I won't get the shoes even cheaper then what it was. Now I wish Stephanie (manager of the store) Put herself in my shoes as a customer. Now mind u I walked in on my lunch and spent an hour explaining to the manager that I was told I can use it and she herself told customer service over the phone that I couldn't which they told her I can. Stephanie is one selfish manager and I won't recommend this location. Thank God I returned the shoes elsewhere because I'll never go back there!!!!!!!

My friends and I stopped by ALDO for a browse, as it was down the street from our hotel. There was a lot to look at, and a few things caught our eye. Unfortunately, too many customers were in the shop for the employees to handle. We were stepping over and around people, some who were sprawled out on the floor trying on shoes. It was too chaotic for us, so we took our business to another ALDO down the street. Sure, it's 5th Avenue, and its bound to be busy, but at least have enough staff on hand to help folks out... and keep them from sitting in the aisleway.

Absolutely awful! I went there yesterday to buy a pair of rain boots. The young man was very helpful in fetching the articles I wanted to try. The cashier however after profiling me at the register asking for an ID when I pulled my reserve card was shocking. I was properly dressed but casual. As if that wasn't enough, she blatantly lied to my face saying that I had to provide my email for the receipt. I specifically asked if this entailed receiving solicitation emails to which she assured me not. As soon as I stepped out I received 4 emails of promotional advertising roaming my mailbox. Appalling how staff can lack so much social skills when working in customer service. If any of this is encouraged by the company and part of the policy, I'd love to see a copy of that policy so it can be forwarded to the consumers association.

I was really surprised by the level of customer service at this Aldo. All of the employees were so kind and helpful, rare in most retail spaces these days. They really went the extra mile to assist me and were very sweet!

I always love to look at ALDO shoes, but for whatever reason, I never buy a pair. I'm not sure why. I guess I just don't see myself in their shoes every day. I fare better in department stores when it comes to my shoe selection. And even with the sales, I still can't commit to any of their styles. This store in particular is very popular with tourists & big spenders alike, and that's somewhat of a turnoff. I don't enjoy stepping into a store with shoes everywhere, people everywhere, and music blaring. So, until next time ALDO. Maybe you'll be able to sway me one day.

I'm so pleased with the shoes I bought here. The employee who helped us brought a few different sizes for me to try and I didn't feel pressured to purchase by him. It's only been two weeks of owning the shoes but I feel like I got my moneys worth because the shoes look great and are comfortable.

Im a fan of aldo shoes. This review is for the rude girl i encountered today while returning a pair of shoes that were uncomfortable (which I ordered online). She looked at me and said "you know you only paid $30 for these right?" What does that have anything to do with the fact that i think they are uncomfy and wouldn't end up wearing them? If shes ok with taking up space in her shoe closet with shoes she doesn't wear, thats all you babe. Keep your pointless comments to yourself. Customer service 101. And wipe that pissed off look off ur face. Doesn't help either.

Love the huge banana billboard above this store. I've shopped ALDO before, but there's just something about NYC. That being said, can we get a few more employees in this place? It was a Wednesday night and literally scads of people were trying to browse. I guess I'll be buying from my local Aldo's, and just liking the eye candy that is this monumental store.

I would never go back to this store. The staff seemed like they didn't want to help me. I don't need to feel like they're doing me a favour when they get me the size I need. Unfriendly and cold- it's like they don't care if they sell shoes or not. It wasn't super crowded either to justify their attitude. I have never written a review about a shoe store- the selection is fine- sadly it's the attitude of the staff that has compelled me to share this experience.

I arrived at this Aldo location at 8:50 pm on Christmas eve. Although the store isn't supposed to close until 9, they signaled they were already closed through the window. Additionally, when I called indicating I only wanted to pick up the shoes another store said they had in stock, the employee said sorry "we closed registers". Pretty disappointing.

I have never been so mad at a sales person. The first time I went here, the girl helping me was fine, though the store was really crowded, so she was slow to bring out shoes when I asked for different sizes. The experience was okay, not great. The second time I came here, I wanted to return a pair of brand new shoes, which I had not worn, but I guess upon seeing the "dusty" soles (from when I tried on the shoes), both girls at the cashier refused to negotiate on whether I could return them / get store credit / get less than a full refund. They had the WORST attitude I had ever experienced with someone working in retail. Finally, after I persisted, they agreed to stretch the shoes out, to make more room in the front (something I had never heard of before). I think because of the location-- being in the center of busy Midtown, and receiving lots of tourists and demanding people -- the workers here have little patience and bad attitude. But you should NOT take it out on your customers! AVOID THIS LOCATION if you can-- go somewhere less crowded! It will save you from a bad experience like my own.

I LOVE this Aldo! Their service is exceptional. At first it is hard to tell who works there, no set uniform and if its busy its really difficult to spot them. After you get hooked up with an associate, they will find you whatever you need - and if the shoe isn't in stock they will ship it to you or the store for free! Even stuff on sale!
