I pass 7 other tap houses to come to the Ale and Cider House! Why? Well, I'll start with the less obvious reasons first... Anne and Tony are spectacular hosts. Each and every time we arrive, we are greeted with warm hello's and made to feel more like family than customers. Izzy, Toni, Michelle, Becca, Tina and Katie have all worked very hard to make sure my family has a wonderful experience each time we visit. Thank you to all of them for their attention and friendships. Now then, the more obvious reasons; Beer and Cider! Whether you're sampling one of the local brews or enjoying a Queen Orchard, house made, Cider you will get a cold, refreshing beverage. I am not one to drink much beer, but I have made my way up and down the Cider taps and can attest to them being DELISH! I cannot say I have a favorite, because there are too many that I have drank to the bottom of the keg. It's a bitter sweet thing though, because as one delicious cider is finished, another wonderful flavor will emerge. I can't say enough about the selections and consistency in the Cider. Atmosphere? This place is great. A small group is perfectly welcomed in the Queens Lounge, or larger groups can gather in the Cider Hall. With the feel of an old English pub, the decor is welcoming and polished. On hot days, the A/C indoors is a relief, but my favorite spot is at a table near the Cider Hall bar. In the Cider Hall you'll enjoy an open air atmosphere with plenty of fans to keep the warm air moving during the summer months and plenty of heaters when it's cold. The recent addition of a banstand means more live music is on the horizon. They recently welcomed back open mic night, the first time since the "damndemic" began. A good time was had by all and I can only imagine, as the word gets out, open mic will become one of the hottest seats in town. If you haven't tried the Ale and Cider House yet, don't wait another minute it's the best tap house around, by far!
