We stayed for 4 nights in December 2024 at Aleenta at one of the seaview duplex rooms.||This hotel is divided into two parts, the main hotel, spa, restaurants and seaview villas on one side of the road, whereas the other villas with no seaview are staying a short distance away on the other side of a road.||We had requested a quieter villa and the hotel nicely put us in the last villa. Unfortunately it meant there was no direct sun to our room, as it was blocked by trees from a neighbouring property, for most of the day until late afternoon. We also noted that there were no toiletries offered and upon request they were also forgotten.||WELLNESS - ||Early on into our stay we tried the complimentary wellness sessions, but were met with a rude member of staff, which should NOT be working in wellness. Prior to our session starting, he criticised other guests, was rude to us, and was generally just not very polite. He was also openly saying how he wanted to leave the job. Unfortunately due to this incidient, we did not do any more wellness activities, which were a big part of the reason we had chosen this hotel.||FOOD -||We thoroughly enjoyed our food at the main seaside cafe, where we also had our dinners. The selection of food was huge, so we were quite satisfied. Service wise - it depended on who was on duty that day. We did find some members of staff to be not so attentive and even forgot to mention the specials for the day. It was also sometimes difficult to grab their attention. ||We had 2 meals at the vegan fine dining restaurant - we were genuinely impressed with their effort in trying for this type of cuisine. The only suggestion we had was that for the "prawn" crackers that were served on both meals were rather soft/not fresh. Despite the service staff member being wonderful, the food was still not "amazing". (we noted during the 4 days we were there, not once did we see another table). We do commend the hotel for trying this concept, and hope it is successful!||OVERALL - good property, great and quiet beach, hard working staff, solid food options, but increased training to some service staff is needed for a trully luxurious stay.
