"A dual experience that fuses haute cuisine and architecture? You'll find few more interesting options, as this restaurant is located on the first floor of the famous Casa Fuster (now Hotel Casa Fuster), a jewel of Catalan Modernisme designed in the early 20th century by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. In its luminous and elegant dining room, with large columns flanking the incredible window and an undulating ceiling that reminds us of the titanium plates of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, you can enjoy a unique tasting menu with a contemporary-creative style, with the option of food and wine pairings. Jerez-born chef Rafa de Bedoya, always under the guidance of the award-winning Paulo Airaudo (Amelia by Paulo Airaudo, in Donostia-San Sebastián), brings coherence and flavour based on local, seasonal products. Outstanding dishes? We really liked their Iberian Flan, Maresme tear peas and sea urchin, as well as their reinterpretation of the typical Mel i mató (fresh cheese and honey). Excellent selection of wines by the glass!" - Michelin Inspector

The 35 Best Restaurants in Barcelona

"A great option for indecisive diners, Aleia offers one tasting menu, that's it. It costs €178. There are two pairings to go with it, alcoholic priced at €108, non-alcoholic for €78. From scallop in cava with soubise, or French onion sauce, to the decadent grilled crayfish in a sherry beurre blanc with crayfish head “air”, or the Iberian “flan”—like a dessert but with the flavor of the finest Iberico pork—with chantarelles, melon and smoked eel —that sounds like it shouldn’t work but totally does, everything is perfect. Even the desserts (like the astonishing avocado cream with caviar) are refreshing and leave you feeling not-too full (quite a feat after 13 courses). Few spaces in Barcelona are more elegant or romantic than Aleia. Better still, the food more than lives up to the hype." - Isabelle Kliger, Gemma Askham

Everything about our dinner at Aleia exceeded our expectations — the taste and quality of the food, the visual presentation, the atmosphere, and the service were all simply exceptional. I’ve dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants in the other countries, and while many of them focus on experimental techniques and stunning visuals, they sometimes fall short when it comes to taste or overall enjoyment. Aleia was different. What truly stood out was how they honored the original essence of each dish, while adding thoughtful and creative twists. The flavors were balanced, memorable, and genuinely delicious — not just impressive to look at. The plating was elegant and delicate, without being over-the-top. This is the first and only Michelin-starred restaurant my husband and I have experienced where we both immediately said, “We need to bring our entire family here next time.” Especially for older guests like our parents, we think they'd absolutely love it! Special thanks to our server, who took care of us with gentle attention and professionalism. She was incredibly kind, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. Her warm presence made the evening even more special. Of all our experiences in Barcelona, this dinner at Aleia was the absolute highlight. I’m so glad we chose it — and I honestly believe they deserve two Michelin stars in the near future 🤗 And thank you for the thoughtful anniversary cake at the end — such a sweet and memorable touch! 💗

Google
The best Michelin star restaurant I have ever dined at. We had 14 courses of the most delicious, incredible flavors. It was a true fine dining experience. I recommend this to all fine dining fans but be sure to come hungry!! The wine pairing was absolutely worth the price and added to the experience. Great, very attentive and professional service. I hope to be back soon for another delicious meal!

Overall, I’d really recommend coming here for something more chill and calm. We didn’t love the atmosphere only because it seemed too quiet? Which is personal preference. But the FOOD was amazing. Flavors I had never experiences before. Can’t say enough about how good each course was.

Rich. The food at Aleia was good but incredibly rich. The presentation was spectacular, but even when pacing ourselves, the experience felt a bit too overwhelming. The service was pretty good. They were friendly and attentive, but perhaps too attentive. It felt like we had very little privacy because the staff was hovering nearby. I understand this may be part of showing us they are available to us at a moment’s notice. But we ended up having to speak softly, almost to a whisper, in order to have some privacy. We also had to ask them to slow down the food placement. Given how the place was nearly empty, it was a bit disappointing to see them rush the food to our table. The restaurant had elegant elements to it. Large windows and beautiful street-side views. But there’s not much of a vibe. It was surprising to find the restaurant only had one other table with guests when we dined on a weekend night. This is an interesting indicator that even a Michelin-starred restaurant isn’t always as coveted.

Google
Delicious food, attentive service and very pleasant experience overall. Went with no high expectations as already had many disappointing Michelin star meals here in Barcelona BUT what a surprise! Thank you Aleia team for your hospitality and chef for an excellent meal!

Had the possibility to visit and in short: dont miss the one! One star place, with many of the foods could have opted for two stars. Really good wines but if I have to mention something to be better at: could be wine pairing with food But overall: do visit, you will not regreat
