Alejandro absolutely impressed me with its incredible food. Every dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavour, and beautifully plated. The complimentary bread and fresh fruit were such a thoughtful touch. The only downside was that it seemed like the staff were stretched thin, and while they were polite and courteous, the wait time were long. That said, the food more than made up for it, and I’d definitely return.

We came here for brunch and we are so glad we did! Both my breakfast quesadilla and my wife’s Escondito were amazing! As well as the French toast that was very unique. The coffee was the best we’ve had in the city, and the complimentary fruit cocktail and tiny smoothie were very welcomed. Overall one of our favorite restaurants!

I went for brunch time. It was not a so busy day. Right away, I’ve been welcomed by the staff and could dive into a cosy ambiance, checking on the menu. Service : All the time, the service was good, our waitress was paying attention to the table, servings lots of samples so we could feel cherished. Not too present, just what it needs so we know we are being taken care of. Menu: the menu is really diverse, and prices are what you expect for a restaurant these days. Food: the food was ok. That was the main downside for me. My fruits had been cut for a while, and did not look very fresh (my watermelon and mandarin were clearly dehydrated ahah). My friends had fresh fruits though. My dish was mainly sauce based, which was not to my taste. I could not differentiate the ingredients taste, or appreciate the blend. To me it was mainly sauce. I would not recommend the chilaquiles. All in all I do not think I’ll go back, but my friends are always going there so I guess you’ll have to try :).

My new fav brunch spot in the city! Love the space and brunch food has Mexican fusion which is so lovely and delicious, ours also came with coffee, fruits & smoothie shots. The staff are also very friendly

We had an incredible breakfast at Alejandro in Montreal. This spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for flavourful brunch dishes with a Mexican twist. We tried the Benedicto, chilaquiles, and poblano omelette, and every bite was delicious. The eggs on the Benedict were perfectly poached medium, the sauce was rich and smooth, and the shredded chipotle ham added just the right balance of sweet and spicy. Before our meals, the staff treated us to a fresh fruit plate, a smoothie shot, and a slice of walnut banana bread. Such thoughtful touches and great value. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for weekend brunch or a casual breakfast in Montreal. If you’re searching for authentic Mexican brunch, Alejandro should be at the top of your list.

Alejandro is a fantastic spot for brunch, offering a delicious menu with a vibrant Mexican twist. The Eggs Benedict with chipotle sauce was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice. The smoothies were not only refreshing but also packed with fresh, natural flavors. The service was exceptional; the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. To top it off, the interior design is both stylish and cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a leisurely meal. Highly recommend this gem in Montreal!

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Mexico in Montreal, Alejandro is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you to a little corner of Mexico. The food is truly exceptional and captures the essence of Mexican flavors. We started with the tortilla soup, which was a little spicy and great consistency. The chile en nogada was a standout dish—the combination of the stuffed poblano pepper with the creamy nogada sauce was perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful. For drinks, the coffee was excellent and La Rana smoothie was a refreshing and delicious treat. The staff is friendly and the service is great, making for an all-around wonderful dining experience. Alejandro is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious, authentic Mexican brunch.

Went for breakfast with a friend, I ordered the pancake and they were amazing and filling. Portions are VERY reasonable, the staff was super nice and welcoming. There wasn't a lot of people so it was nice and quiet for us. Staff is 10/10, cleanliness 10/10, food 10/10 & beautiful decor

Yelp
I love it here!! Amazing food, amazing smoothies, huge portions and at a good price. I can't say enough good things about this place. Very cute, cozy atmosphere. Wait staff were incredibly friendly and service was quick and efficient. I ate here twice when I was in Montreal for a long weekend and would definitely recommend it!!

Yelp
Best eggs Benedict we've ever had. I had mine without the chipotle sauce as I don't like spice and it was still wonderful. Would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite brunch place in Montréal and I go back several times at every trip! The food is Mexican, the real, authentic stuff, not "Tex-Mex". I have never had a bad meal here. The food is amazing! While you wait for your meal, the waiter arrived with a small serving of cut fresh fruit, a small glass of smoothie "du jour", and a piece of walnut loaf. Everything is wonderful! the service is great, the owner is absolutely gorgeous and friendly! I very highly recommend Alejandro! Oh and you must try the Eggs Benedict...and, well, everything else! Thank you Alejandro!

Yelp
My friend and I really wanted a breakfast burrito and there is a surprisingly lack of those in this city so I did a bit of googling and found Alejandro. I was super excited because in general, I love Mexican food and especially Mexican-themed breakfast. This place was way more awesome than I expected. The interior is bigger than it looks and I was glad that they could take us in as walk-ins on a Saturday. We each got La Bomba - a super delicious hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. We were also excited to find out that every brunch comes with a fruit plate, a shot of tasty smoothie and a sweet bread. A pleasant surprise and a very filling meal! My friend and I split the french toast which was super delicious with a light and not too sweet sauce and crunchy pecans. Flavor and texture were really well-balanced. We also both ended up getting the breakfast burrito with the added chorizo (slices.) It was filled with eggs and flavor and came with a nice sauce and potatoes. There were so many other things on the menu I wanted to try and I'm looking forward to going back. I see they're closed for the holidays so hopefully I can go again early in the new year.

Yelp
This is a great brunch place! I fell in love with their corn bread the first time I went there. I loved it so much I went back a few days after just to buy it but I was told they only serve it during weekends (there's a tip for you!) So if you want to try Alejandro's, go for their weekend brunch. They'll give you a shot of their smoothie of the day and a small plate of fresh fruits, too. Don't forget to book in advance as their weekend brunch is popular!

Yelp
The food tastes great! Place is beautiful and cozy. Amazing for a sunday brunch. However, the food quantity was a bit less considering the price point.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. Incredible service, exceptional food, and safe COVID practices. Very well priced for the quality AND quantity of the food. We paid about $40 for an amazing brunch, including two mains that we ordered (benedictos and mole enchiladas) which came with filter coffee, yummy sweet loaf, fresh fruit, and a smoothie sample. Cant wait to return.

Yelp
Stumbled on this place while running errands and was working up a massive appetite. Very friendly and attentive service and their brunch options were varied beyond the traditional "benedict" options most places have (though they did have a version on their menu too). I went for eggs baked in a delicate pastry with habanero sauce and mushrooms and I can't stop thinking about it. There are also a bunch of seating options here to make sure you're far away from other parties, which I really appreciated.

Yelp
My wife and I came to Montreal this weekend from Massachusetts for a brief vacation. We lived previously in Colorado for 10 years where we had the chance at many great Mexican restaurants. We stumbled on Alejandro while visiting the Latin Quarter. From looking on line after our lunch the restaurant is at the site of a prior Mexican restaurant "Chipotle and Jalapeno". However, our waiter told us that the current restaurant has been open for 2 months. It has a very fresh feeling decor and looks newly painted with an interesting and summery decor. What was far more impressive than the decor was the food. While we only tried two dishes, they were hands down the best Mexican dishes either of us have had since leaving Colorado more than 25 years ago. Our meal included both a soup and an entree, and we started with a wonderful traditional tortilla soup with a tomato broth, fresh avocado, white cheese, and chicken. We both then had a special traditional dish called "Chile en Nogada" that we had never seen anywhere else. It was made like a chile relleno with a poblano pepper stuffed with dried fruit, nuts, meat, and spices; but was served with a white walnut sauce and red pomegranate seeds to match the colors of the Mexican flag. This dish was simply outstanding. In addition our waiter this afternoon was outstanding.

Yelp
Sunday brunch, for 8, all the "cool" places were full, so we checked in here. Service was warm and welcoming, and the food, oh my the food. Have the mole poblano, or the cazuela, or the motuleños. It was all exceptional. Relatively newly opened, I hope as a frequent visitor to this city, that it does well. A great addition to this city's fantastic restaurants.
