You don’t find this place, this place finds you. It just happens. You walk past it and something inside commands you to come in. You enter it as one person and when you step out you can’t resist the feeling that something inside of you has changed, forever. It was our last day in Florence, our train to Pisa was in 1.5 hour. Just walking by, heading to Il Porccerino and then we hear the music. We stop by, and from the small open door we see a little bit of the inside. Mechanisms, rotating cogwheels and others objects are stunning us. Decision was instantly made: we go in. Small note on the entrance - Alessandro decides himself whether to let you in or not, he feels it, or call it anyhow else. You have to ring a bell and then he shows up from his workshop inside and lets you in. If he doesn’t do it after your continuous efforts, then just accept it and move on. This place is his heart and soul and if you can’t appreciate it from the very beginning, if you’re unable to respect the fragility of every corner of this magnificent place, then you better save your 5€ for something else. If you’re among those who were let in, just try to feel it. This place will definitely enchant you and if you don’t speak Italian, you’ll still be able to speak to Alessandro and ask him any questions you have or buy something for you from his collection which is for sale. Overall, this is the most unreal, aerie and beautiful experience we’ve ever had so far. 100/10 worth a try.

Very cool! Special spot in Florence. I love supporting a local artist and seeing him work in real time. His pieces are magnificent and hope to add one to my finger one day.

Stumbled upon this place walking down the street and was blown away by how cool it was! An experience that really draws all of your senses in - sight, sound, smells. The jewelry is obviously the star of the show but the lighting and ambiance is also immaculate. It feels like you’re in a wizard workshop. Only deducting one star because we got thrown out by the owner for seemingly no reason, he just yelled “get out” at us during business hours. Oh well.

What a place. It's not huge, but well worth the €5 per person entry to see the artists work inside.

This is a 'must to visit place'. Worth it so much more than the entrance tax. Magical atmosphere and absolutely thrilling. One of the greatest experiences provided by a creative genius.

An absolutely stunning jewelery museum! I stopped by Bottega Storica D'Arte 1630 because the shop's whimsical and beautiful music guided me in. Once I stepped in the museum, I walked into another dimension. I was mesmerized by every masterpiece Maestro Dari had created. Each artwork/sculpture is so soulful and moving, I felt like I was inside a fantasy. This museum is free to enter. A must go in Florence, Italy.

I stumbled across this shop while walking the streets in Florence, and I'm so glad I did! This store has creations by Alessandro Dari. You'll see a range of creations, from Jewelry to watches, swords to wood crafts, in short, all sorts of things. At first I was more impressed by the music that was playing in the background, until I started really looking at the tiny details that il maestro Dari makes in pretty much all of his work. I spent at least 30 minutes admiring his work, the more I looked at one of his pieces, the more details I'd find. Nothing had a price tag, as if it was more like a museum than a shop. Even if you are not planning to buy anything, I highly recommend visiting the store and seeing with your own eyes his art. Photos won't do it justice!
