Great atmosphere and memorable flavors. The risotto was phenomenal, easily the highlight. A creative spot with standout dishes that mix Italian cuisine and local ingredients in a really fun, inventive way.

Best restaurant I’ve visited in this region. Had my birthday lunch here, despite sharing this information upfront, the restaurant didn’t prepared anything special on this occasion. We had the 5 course surprise menu which came with two additional entrees and Pralinés to conclude. The wine pairing matched but the chosen ones were quite underwhelming in terms of quality and price. I was hoping to have one outstanding Barolo included in the wine pairing. Nevertheless the overall experience was very pleasant and the service very friendly. The castle, the view and the whole setting is just stunning. Fair pricing.

We had a lovely dinner at Alessandro Mecca. Very tasty food, fine dining Piemontese dishes. And also, we LOVED the restaurant manager and the sommelier. We will come back for sure to taste the contemporary menu! :) Thank you for the nice gesture, greetings from Belgium :) Gerbe Suttels and family

Very neat atmosphere with an excellent selection of wine and food. The pairings were excellent and the service was great.

We were told that the chef had for us the usual vitello tonnato and agnolotti, no menu no choices. Unacceptable, we had chosen the place for a special meal not for a lunch off a tour bus. To travel thousand of miles for a different special experience and to eat the usual dishes was so stunningly disappointing we fell mute in astonished realization that nothing was going as we had dreamed of.

Had I written this review a year ago, after my first experience here, it would have been five stars across the board. I led a culinary tour group in the area, and one of our dinners was here. It was the highlight of the week, and nobody stopped talking about it. That was then. This year we have been back several times with more groups, and the opposite has been true. Rather than everyone raving about how wonderful it was, it was widely considered the most underwhelming meal of each week. Considering the Michelin star, it made it that much more difficult to swallow. The sad reality is that it is our understanding that this restaurant will be closing soon due to an increase in rent. As such, it is my impression that their passion was gone, and they simply didn't continue to try and earn their reputation. Unfortunately, the last months of this establishment will carry on with the chef, so it makes little sense to me. Either way, while it is still here, I would strongly suggest it be avoided.

An excellent 1 Michelin star experience. We were trying to decide between this or a 3 star experience and are extremely satisfied that we chose this one. It was the perfect amount of preparation, refined tastes, and ambience for a great Italian countryside experience. The food was perfect and tasted great without feeling over the top and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The venue was a former castle and the only regret we had was not having enough time/room to do the wine tastings here as well. There were also extremely clean restrooms to change in if you wanted to bring some nicer clothes to change into after a day of wine tasting. I would highly recommend a stop here to cap off a trip to this part of Italy.
