Alessandro's Pizzeria e Pasta Napoletana

This pizza place is rad! Tucked right beside workroom.. Scrumptious, addicting and high quality Pizza made with passion and baked the right way in a wood fire oven! What's not to love?! probably about the most authentic italian Pizzeria you can find in Havelock North! Oh and their deserts? They are something else! go make a night out of it with friends, you will not be disappointed one little bit :)

I had one of the best pizza's I've had in years. Thin crust, wonderful ingredients and a great combination. Dining partner had the lasagna, the pesto accompanied it well. Give a shout out to Mazzie as she inquired about how they did, which showed how the crew were alway on top of things.

We've visited three times over the years when we visit the area, and Alessandro's has been great every time. The pizzas come out of the wood fired oven with excellent flavour and chew. It's been very busy every time we have visited, so be sure to arrive early or be prepared to wait a while.

Booked out night, and it was a wednesday. Dining area is quite compact, not much room tbh. Workers did well keeping up with the workload, busy night. - Capricciosa pizza 8.6/10 Definitely a knife and fork pizza. Wish it had more tomato, it was so fresh. I wanted more. Try to hold and the toppings fall off. - Meatballs spaghetti 8.5/10 Coarse meatballs, 3 isnt enough. 1 more would be better. Tomato sauce is boss, so fresh. I was full after this. - Lasagne 8.8/10 Loved it. Basil pesto could of been replaced with the tomato sauce i got in the pasta. Very hearty dish. - Tiramisu 8.7/10 More cocoa than coffee through it. But the kahula and frangelico worked so well. Orange rind garnish can be left off. -Chocolate brownie 8.4/10 Insane sweet. For sweet tooths 100%. brownies packed with flavour, and not on the light side. Still very good.

Awesome Pizza, a busy place that has a nice hum. Good staff and good food / wine. A regular on trips to Havelock North.

Hands down the best pizza I've eaten in New Zealand. Definitely in my top 3 favourite restaurants in Hawke's Bay. The authenticity and quality of the ingredients are top notch, and the service is always excellent. I recommend making a reservation as this place is always busy (for obvious reasons)!

Amazing food and warm atmosphere! The pasta was fresh, the pizza delicious, and the service outstanding. Truly authentic Italian — highly recommend!

In general I feel like Neopolitan pizza is just the best already. I mean I feel like the rest of Italy should just not even bother and stick to just pasta, but I digress. At Alessandro's they have a calzone that's pretty solid, and unfortunately they don't automatically give you a side of marinara with it, but if you just order it separately believe me, that alone will more than make up for the oversight. Alessandro's marinara was stop-your-heart delicious. My wife was really enjoying her pizza as well obvs. The service was pretty great too, but seriously ... those pizzas. If you go to Havelock you HAVE to go to Alessandro's. I think I'll try the pasta next time.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend, and it was a very good pizza. Nice traditional Italian flavours and a pizza dough made with a starter and rested for 3-4 days to add that authentic flavour. Our toppings included prosciutto, mozzarella and fresh rocket. A nice woodfired taste, but the only criticism would be that our base was a little too charred (maybe left a bit long in the oven).

They had me at "wood fired". We went in search of some good pizza and did not have to go far before finding a table at Alessandro's. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I added olives to my pie since no pizza is complete without them. I loved the tomato sauce and the pizza crust was good to the last crumb. My wife ordered her pizza on a gluten-free crust which also turned out quite good. Add in a tall glass of beer and you have a dinner that is hard to beat.

Beautiful food, the different pizza variety is diverse and each one we tried was awesome. Desserts were really good too! Staff all very friendly and helpful to answer any questions we had.
