Google
After a busy day sightseeing in NYC we wanted something quick and easy to eat. Did a quick search on Google Maps and found this little gem. We ordered the 16” Alessio Special Pizza to take away and it was one of the best pizzas we’ve eaten. They also sell pizza by the slice and have a great selection of cakes which we also sampled! Really recommend this place and if we’re weren’t heading back to England in a day or two we’d be eating here again!

Google
I have lived in the area for years and have ordered from here many times. The food is decent but it is very inconsistent. I ordered the Milano and the sandwich is basically all bread and cheese…way too skimpy on the turkey, there’s basically one slice. It’s tough to order here when you never know what you’re going to get

Google
A lovely spot for coffee and pastries and probably some of the most tasty and reliable breakfast wraps/sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken cesar wrap was delicious too. Wonderful attention to detail on delivery orders and great in person service.

Google
Delicious as per usual! Always love stopping by Alessio’s. Glad to see the place has taken off.

Google
Amazing cafe! I had the white chocolate croissant and a rose latte. I highly recommend their croissants. Amazing pastry selection, see my picture below. Prices are totally reasonable ~under $10 for a latte and a croissant. Come here for a nice breakfast or lunch!

Google
Absolutely delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with a single menu item

Google
Our go to place every weekend! We’ve been in Hoboken for 2+ years now and I come here with my husband for breakfast/brunch almost every single weekend. Food🥪, dessert 🍰, service, everything’s excellent.

Google
Ordered the Capri Panini (grilled chicken and pesto) and the Hoboken (prosciutto and porchetta) and both lived up to their descriptions. Large sandwiches with generous portions of meat and cheese but still hold together nicely. Also tried their pistachio croissant which was buttery and soft. I actually thought the filling was phenomenal - really rich and not too sweet. A nice departure from the large, ultra flaky, darker croissants that are all the rage right now. I did takeout and was pleased that the sandwiches travelled well. The cafe was just packed on a Saturday morning and the wait was about 50 minutes for my online order.

Yelp
Alessio's 539 Park Ave. Hoboken, NJ 07030 Chicken Cutlet Caesar Wrap The cutlet was freshly cooked and served warm. The Caesar dressing and lettuce blended perfectly.

Yelp
4.5 stars I had been hearing rave reviews about Alessio's Cafe for years! From the pastries to the sandwiches and beyond, the praise was vast, so I was thrilled to finally stop at the casual, deli-style spot recently. I did not grab much, but my Iced Coffee was rich, bold, and really delicious. It was not your typical, watered down cold brew by any means. I also tried a few of their treats, though I was sad to see that they were already out of their rainbow cookies, a personal favorite. But, one taste of their Brownie, and I forgot all about the rainbow cookies. The rich, buttery block of fudge-like decadence was heavenly and had a thick upper layer that seemed to be a ganache or frosting. I also tried a Sprinkle Butter Cookie, an Italian bakery staple. It had the typical hint of vanilla, but was much softer than the crunchy version to which I was accustom. It was still tasty, but no where near as alluring as the brownie. The staff was a pleasure to chat with and my requested items were similarly enjoyable, so I will definitely need to go back and try more of their menu items, specifically some sandwiches and other savory bites.

Yelp
I come here daily only because it is across the street from my child's school. The sweets are delicious, coffee is meh and the service is horrible. The people behind the counter do not greet, acknowledge your presence and they will forget your order. A typical morning at Alessios includes standing awkwardly waiting for one of the five people behind the counter to acknowledge you so you can place your order. Once they decide they are ready to take your order, they seem really inconvenienced by your presence. Then they will totally forget to make your coffee because they are too busy chatting. The owner seems really nice so it's unfortunate that the younger employees are so miserable. Typical encounter: Me: *awkwardly standing waiting for someone to take my order Employee approaches the register and looks at me (no words are spoken) Me: Hi! Good morning can I please have a mini cannoli? Employee rings it up and gets cannoli (still no words are spoken) Register asks if I want to tip employee I take my cannoli and go kick rocks

Yelp
It pains me to write this because I was this restaurant's biggest fan when it first opened years ago in Hoboken. In recent years the quality of the food has not only been inconsistent but gradually declined despite rising prices. It's evident that after the owners began opening more locations they switched to lower grade meat. Once the Terrace opened their cheesesteak never tasted the same which was the first sign. More recently I received two poor quality orders in a row including DISCOLORED eggs and a "chicken" cutlet sandwich that barely had a shaving of meat inside of it. It was practically a glorified grilled cheese. I hung on for so long hoping it would spring back but the decline has been progressive. Quality food and ingredients will always keep your customers loyal - a word of advice.

Yelp
One of the best chicken Caesar wraps out there--crispy or grilled, you can't go wrong. Fries are on point, and the Italian empanadas (pizza + empanada + grilled chicken) are a flavor bomb. They also offer free WiFi, awesome coffee drinks and delish pastries! Friendly service and indoor/outdoor seating. The spot is cute with cafe / pizzeria feel. Makes this spot a winner.

Yelp
Cute spot! Local neighborhood feel and great quality. Picked up to-go and tried 2 sandwiches and pizza. Everything tasted fresh and hot! Would recommend and want to try other items. They also opened a market across the street and look forward to checking it out!

Elaine M.

Yelp
we were very impressed by this place. It is our first trip to NY and David set a high bar for "friendly staff"! The food was fantastic and the place was absolutely spotless, and they made space for our 5 giant rucksacks without making us feel like we were an inconvenience. Thank you, we'll come back. I recommend the omlette, amazing.

Yelp
This is a great place to ordering catering from. The entire ordering experience was seamless and you can do everything online which makes it quick and easy. If you need to call with any questions everyone on the phone is super responsive too. The catering menu is massive - sandwiches, pastas, apps, heroes, salads and so much more. I went with an assorted wrap tray and an assorted sandwich tray. Both came with a really great variety and everything tasted fantastic. The only thing I don't love is that they don't give specifics on what's included. It's just an 'assortment' which got a little tricky for those in the group with dietary restrictions. Delivery was prompt and they even included plates, utensils and napkins. If you are looking for solid catering in Hoboken then definitely check out Alessio's.

Yelp
I got a pistachio croissant and the lady just pumped two pumps of this disgusting sticky pistachio spread into the croissant. I thought it was going to be like a nice fresh sweet pistachio croissant but this is sticky and disgusting.

Yelp
Have ordered from Alessio a few times and they have not disappointed. Good food and fast and fairly priced! I will be ordering again!

Yelp
Small and Cute coffee and Pizza place in Hoboken. Love the Cheese Pizza here, must try.

Yelp
Ordered for delivery via DoorDash. Toasted Marshmallow Latte arrived half empty because it was spilled all over the outside of the cup since they did not package properly, and what was remaining just tasted like regular coffee . The Hoboken Girl I had spent $3 extra to add bacon and they added only ONE strip of bacon for that, not worth it at all & since there was barely anything I did not get that crunch I was hoping for since all the other ingredients were soft. And if there was any jalapeno aioli in it I did not taste it at all because there was zero kick to it and it was just bland. Plus it arrived cold even though they are not far. Chocolate croissant had almost no chocolate in it (see pic) and what was there had a weird orangey flavor to it which I hated. I never got to taste the Truffle Brownie since they forgot it completely from the order!! So careless. Very disappointing.

Yelp
This sandwich is amazing! I think it's only for the month of March, but I hope they keep it forever. - scrambled eggs, carmelized onions, avocado, crispy hash browns on sourdough bread with jalapeño aioli
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered a plane cheese pizza, they said it will take 5-10min, it's been 20min. And they messed up my order. I never even right reviews but I wrote one for this place.
google avatar

Simran K.

Yelp
Order a bunch of pastries for takeout. Those included: Sfogliatella (5/5) Crispy and prepared to perfection. Loved the ricotta, orange-essence filling. Fabulous! St Joseph Pastry (4/5) Tasted soggier than I'd expected it to be. The Pistachio filing was nice and creamy, but I would prefer an even stronger pistachio flavor. Lobster Tail (4.5/5) This was flaky and well executed. Chocolate Mousse Cake (4/5) Good chocolate notes but was on the drier side. Nutella Bombolini (4/5) Would've preferred the outside to have not been glazed, but overall enjoyable!

Yelp
This place has it ALL! I don't write a lot of reviews but for this place I will. First off I've had nearly everything from the menu & it's all top shelf. I mostly go for the paninis but it's all good, let's be honest. Incredible selection of sweets as well. The fact that I'm only block & a half away has me maybe a lil bit biased? WHATEVER!!! Place rules & people that work here are always so cheerful & pleasant makes it a no brainer to come back 3-4 times a WEEK. Absolutely love this place & so happy to have them nearby. Would give 10 stars if yelp allowed

Yelp
Love Alessios for a quick morning coffee and pastry or for a weekend breakfast sandwich. I will say they do get pretty crowded on weekends so definitely order ahead for pickup if you can , unless you don't mind waiting. I usually order a sandwich on their sourdough bread which is delicious !
google avatar

Natalie T.

Yelp
Doesn't the cross section of these sandwiches look amazing? Both were delicious and the service was great- the workers would even come out onto the patio where people were eating to make sure they were happy with their food. Prices are fair, the treats looked delicious. Cozy spot that makes for a perfect quick Sunday morning breakfast out. We got the Caprese and Spicy Texas sandwiches and shared the two. Different flavors, but refreshing and filling at the same time.
google avatar

Terri N.

Yelp
Visiting for a few days and ordered delivery for dinner. The Capriccioso pizza was excellent. We also ordered a Greek salad for $14. It was disappointing for the price. It was flavorful but 80% lettuce. Skip the salad and try their pizza. A very good value and better than expected. We ordered a large pizza but I just included a pic of a slice. We got delivery in about an hour on Friday night.
google avatar

Yelp
Consistently excellent for breakfast and lunch. Love the Hoboken Girl breakfast sandwich as well as the avocado toast. For lunch, the Tommy Cutlets sandwich is tough to beat and they have the best rainbow cookies in the area.

Yelp
Hoboken already has its fair share of Italian restaurants in town, but if you haven't tried Alessio's, you're missing out. I first discovered this quick service spot upon a pizza crawl, and it has become one of my staple spots! It's a great casual restaurant to grab a slice of pizza, a coffee, some dessert / gelato...even all at once if you prefer. If you love crispy thin crusts, you'll love their pizza. I've ordered several slices here where everything I've tried was delicious. In addition, they have a good variety of options from wings, salads, sandwiches, meatballs, fries, and more. Their dessert case always looks amazing (hello cannolis!) as does their gelato. There's a couple of tables inside and outdoors which can also accommodate a large group. Highly recommend and will be back!

Yelp
Italian cafe that does coffee, pizza, sandwiches, and pastries. I got a square vodka slice ($4.69), a sausage, pepperoni, and pepper slice ($4.69), and a mini cannoli ($2.81). The vodka slice was crisp and very rich, which tastes very good but is kinda sickening. The slice was an 8/10 in taste. The sausage and pepperoni slice was absolutely enormous, about twice the size of my hand. It was super floppy, chewy, and not very flavorful. (5/10 slice). The cannoli was disappointingly soft and bland. They must not like getting business because they didn't have AC on and it was sweltering inside

Yelp
Tonight I got Alessio's delivered. It was the first time I had it. Blown away is an understatement. This was the best meal I've had ever since I can remember. I got a pasta, a salad, and it came with bread. One bite of the bread had me seeing stars. It was phenomenal. I must return.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
Ordered a breakfast wrap that would have been good but there was plastic in the wrap. Very upsetting
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
Coming from an Italian family and going to Italian bakeries when I was little, this place gives me the same nostalgic feeling! Everything on the menu is fresh and has you feeling satisfied. My favorite is the morning wrap, it's the perfect bite first thing in the AM! Highly recommend this place if you live in Hoboken or passing through.
google avatar

Tara F.

Yelp
Alessios is a great spot to get the sandwich you'll be craving. I knew I needed a turkey sandwich but turns out this will now be the specific one I'm craving. The spicy turkey BLT had a nice mix of flavors and the chipotle aioli definitely added the perfect touch.

Kat L.

Yelp
Um. What the heck is this crazy looking pepperoni pizza slapped on top of each other? Horrible for delivery.
google avatar

Kristin A.

Yelp
Why is the service here always so slow??!! It should not take 30 minutes to make a to go panini. I don't know what the hype is about this place. Every time I've come in to order I'm frustrated by how long it takes. What's worse is that it was 90 degrees today and they had no air conditioning on! We couldn't even wait inside. While our sandwiches were good, there are better places in town and they certainly were not worth the wait. We weren't the only ones about to lose it today over the wait time....

Maryclare H.

Yelp
Sandwich 7.6/10 Bread was perfectly toasted. Jalapeño Aoli was great. I just wish there was bacon in it
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
I love this place omg! I always get the hot chocolate and some baked goods! Their croissants are out of this world. Their drink menu and treats are my fav, but the pizzas, sandwiches, and salads are decent as well. The service is great (super friendly). The cafe itself is small, but always bustling. Prob my fav lunch spot on Hoboken'
google avatar

Elena R.

Yelp
Great sandwiches every time! I've tried two of their chicken sandwiches but their Leonardo is a great option for vegetarians. We did takeout and it was quick and efficient.

Yelp
I was surprised to walk into Alessio's today with an empty dining room and three staff members working behind the counter -- not even one looked up when I walked in, acknowledged they had a customer, or even turned to look at me. I stood by the register waiting to order but the three employees just did not care about serving. This place would do so much better with a little respect! Damn. April 29th 10:58 AM.

Yelp
Just had delicious and well-portioned Capri wrap. In fact probably on the larger than average size which is fine by me. This one has has grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, and pesto. Prices are about what you would expect. This place uses quality ingredients and seems to be a pretty authentic Italian cafe. Will be back soon to try the pizza and other wraps.

Bill H.

Yelp
This place is bad they took like 2 hour to get food when we asked for are coffee they acted like we didn't order and the food was 15 dollars and it was horrible and the toast was burnt reviews by reggie

Robert I.

Yelp
We had three (3) sandwiches and a pepperoni pizza. All were very good. This was a Take-Out order that was ready when promised. Highly recommend Alessio's!!

Plinka B.

Yelp
Not sure I understand the hype around this place. We ordered the Positano and the Amalfi paninis, but instead got sandwiches. This is not worth $35 at all. Very overpriced and you don't even get what you order. We also waited over 30 mins for these two sandwiches and they weren't even hot/toasted as what is advertised and what you think you pay/wait for. You can get a better sandwich that is bigger for less money any other other deli - we came here specifically for a panini. The only positive comment I have is that the Amalfi portion of chicken to prosciutto to mozz was good. Overall very disappointed and will not be coming back.
google avatar

Deborah L.

Yelp
Very sad to report that we had a frustrating experience here. When we walked in, there was only one person ahead of us. We were a family of six people - a bigger group but certainly not huge. We ordered regular things off the food and drink menu - no special orders. After 25 minutes of waiting and seeing people who came later than us get their food, I was pretty irritated. "Your food is coming" is all they kept saying. When the food finally did come, my toast was cold as ice and the food was mediocre at best. To top it off, my husband used the restroom before we left and it didn't flush. Ew. Coffee was good so that's all I can recommend here.
google avatar

Jamie K.

Yelp
The food is great but I'm consistently underwhelmed by the service here. It's like pulling teeth to even get acknowledged. It makes it awkward for customers to order, because everyone is kind of just waiting around for one of the staff to take charge. Very strange.
google avatar

Mina Y.

Yelp
Came here on a whim for breakfast with the family. We ordered the morning and jersey devil wraps; they were both delicious! The coffee was also great. Cute ambiance with friendly staff. I definitely recommend this place! I look forward to coming back to try their pizza.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Brought home some breakfast sandwiches from Alessio's today - Spicy Texas Sandwich for my husband and Veggie Tricolore for me. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the ciabatta bread, the sandwich ingredients were fresh, and we both liked the sauces (pesto for me / chipotle aioli for him). The Bombolone with Nutella was delicious! Try microwaving it for 10 seconds if you're eating it at home. Yum!
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
This will be my new go to breakfast spot! Ordered a morning wrap and it was exactly what I was looking for. No notes!!
google avatar

Kristin G.

Yelp
I got the Hoboken Girl sandwich and it was delicious. I was thrilled that they offered GF options! Loved it so much that I stopped by the next day and ordered it again but added bacon . 10/10.
google avatar

Koko S.

Yelp
Had the veggie tricolore - amazing sandwich with the softest ciabatta bread ever. Perfectly cooked.

Dani L.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a ciabatta. The eggs were clearly overcooked as it was brown and very spongy. I have no idea how a place can mess such a simple thing up. I also ordered an eclair and my god I'm actually nervous I'll get sick. It tasted like pure plastic and I can't get this taste out of my mouth. It was definitely left in a refrigerator or freezer for way too long. The custard was hard and as yellow as the dough. It should be creamy and an off white color. I barely ever wrote reviews but this experience was the worst I've had. So disgusting.
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Alessio's is an Italian cafe, yet its most popular Yelp item is the Spicy Texas Sandwich. Sure, why not? It falls broadly within the genre of deli breakfast sandwiches, yet throws in new twists with avocado and chipotle aioli. For an appetizer I got a slice of the Diavola Pizza. It's excellent that they offer this on four sizes. The spicy sopressata is so great you may find it tough to return to pepperoni. My Hoboken radius has often encompassed waterfront, Washington and 1st if I'm feeling adventurous so I"m glad I found Alessio's during the remedial geography lessons of my recent hikes.
google avatar

Li W.

Yelp
We came by for ice cream and grabbed a tiramisu cake slice when we saw it in the display. Both were delicious! Not amazing but delicious and hit the spot. For $15 it was quite expensive but I guess I'm just in denial of inflation lol. I'm curious what their food is like, they have quite a wide selection that I think would be good for brunch/lunch!
google avatar

Sonia P.

Yelp
It's been under new ownership for the last 2 years or so and the new owner is hugely invested in making the business grow. They've expanded from being just a pizzeria to also a great breakfast café with fresh croissants and muffins, bagels, wraps and eggs to a coffee menu with plenty of hot and iced options. They also have a full lunch menu with options like salads, wings and pasta in addition to their selection of pizzas. Don't miss the dessert bar with lots of traditional Italian cookies, cannolis as well as the classic cake bars, cake pops and tiramisu!!! The outdoor seating is extensive and plentiful in addition to the indoor tables and can cater to a large number of people at once. Best of all - they're dog friendly!! Ask for a puppacino on your next visit.
google avatar

Kami S.

Yelp
I heard good things about this place and finally tried it the other day. First off, really nice atmosphere, they have a big display of delicious pastries and pizza choices. Everyone who worked here was really nice and eager to take my order. Not to mention customers just started telling me how great this place is, the neighbors are a fan. I got the Spicy Diavola slice and it was excellent, meaty, spicy and good crust. For desert I ordered the mini nutella bombalones, OMG these are amazing. This place is a must stop in Hoboken, can't wait to go again and definitely get more bombalones!

Amine E.

Yelp
Food is amazing, dessert is so delicious, and their coffee is tasty. The service is very friendly, and the ambiance is great. I love the design of the café--very comfy and cozy. They also have the most delicious chocolate muffins if that's your thing
