Earrings faulty item. I bought this from outside the UK, so I had to pay custom charges. I contacted their support and asked to return the item and get my money back for customs as I received a faulty item. They would not help me with this, but I could return the earrings. What I don't understand is how can these be shipped when there is clearly something wrong with them! I feel like they didn't bother to check because I life outside the UK and it's hard for me to return these. Would nog recommended to buy from their website, buy in to store so you can see what you get. I've got another item that I love from them, but this experience is really salty... -To the owner, I will correct the review if I wronged this store. But for now I'm the one that's wronged, with earrings that aren't wearable and money out of my bank.

I’ve had the pleasure of owning a gold plated bumble bee necklace for several years and I’ve worn it most of the time. Sadly it had lost its shine. I enquired to see if Alex Monroe offered a gold plating service to my item as it has lost its lustre and some of its colour in places. I was delighted to hear that they offer this service at a very reasonable price. I sent the necklace off and what returned was just unbelievable! It was like brand new m, including a new chain. I was staggered to see it back to its original state. The communication was superb and what returned was just incredible. I still can’t believe it it’s actually the same item!So if you have an item that’s loosing its lustre, do contact Alex Monroe and get your item replated. You won’t regret it.

I could not recommend this jewellers enough. I first had this idea for a customised necklace years ago with two magpies for my late Nana, Joy, and a wren for my late grandma, Jenny wren. My partner purchased the tiny wren for my 40th and my family contributed to the cost of the customised magpies and branches to be built around it. I was consulted all the way through this with recommendations made but listening to my preferences too. They were understanding at every step and communicated well, keeping me informed. My necklace is beautiful, I couldn't have wished for anything more. A real treasure which I'm sure will become an heirloom. Thank you so much to Alice, Susie and the bespoke team. What a lovely and supremely talented bunch!!

Incredibly friendly staff with a beautiful selection of jewellery and great care services. Took my wedding band in for repair and waset with really caring staff who were just as concerned about my ring as I am. The repair team were in touch within a few days to let me know my ring would be reshaped and his long it would take.

Great experience here with the staff. Super friendly and non-pushy. We were lucky enough to walk away with a ring that looked great and fitted perfectly.

Wow incredible Customer care from Alice. She was able to help me with my necklace that was a Christmas gift from my husband. Although I didn't purchase it from them directly they were able to exchange the length of my chain and return it within 4 days!! I had such a great experience both times I’ve been to this boutique. Me and my partner chose an engagement ring from here (the beekeeper collection). It is an exquisite ring with beautiful detail and I can’t stop admiring it. The team at the boutique are so lovely! Offered us a drink when I came back to resize the ring (free resizing in the first 6 months of buying the ring). They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Feel very at ease here. Will be looking to come back and pick our wedding rings!

I purchased a sapphire Rosa Alba for my wife in Winter of 2022 from the Covent Garden branch. This was my first mistake. DO NOT buy any jewellery in advance from this place. By the time of my ceremony in Spring 2023 (just under 6 months, most of which was kept in storage) to our surprise, it had severely deformed. She had only worn it a handful of times, as expected, because we were planning to exchange rings at the ceremony.(Picture of the ring which is deformed after a handful of uses) When we complained at London Bridge, there was little urgency in the matter and we felt strong racist undertones in their attitude in person and through email correspondence. When we bought the ring, I specifically asked if this could be worn everyday and was reassured we would be, but the ring deformed quickly and was not really fit for purpose. The thing that really shocked me when we went to complain, was them nonchalantly telling us the design had been recalled and a new, more durable design had taken its place. When I asked about it, it was said that they are always having a creative rethink about the pieces. The only real solution they gave was to reshape the ring and make it a half size smaller, implying my wife was at fault for poor handling. They offered this service free of charge, which really is the bare minimum. The sales assistant advised my wife that the ring would be fine with "gentle" everyday use. The experience has left a really sour taste in our mouths. Knowing that we intentionally wanted something that could last a lifetime, and yet the exact ring we bought was a flimsy design that was updated mere months after purchase. My wife now feels uneasy wearing this ring, something that was intended to symbolise our marriage, due to the poor service we received. The unwillingness to take responsibility for a flawed design paired with the racist undertones in the way which we have been spoken to really shows that this company does not value customers from different backgrounds. They would not allow us to exchange the ring, despite our conscious effort to buy something long lasting, which this ring clearly isn't. If you are not white, I would advise you to avoid this place at all costs.

I have a guilty-pleasure confession to make.......I first discovered Alex Monroe while watching the UK crime drama Scott & Bailey. One of the detectives would put this adorable bee necklace on, during the opening credits & I totally wanted that bee Thanks to the glory of the interwebs, I found out that the bee was made by Alex Monroe & immediately bookmarked them for our next London visit Near Borough Market, the quaint shop offers many varieties of sea animals, flowers & of course bees! Mini, baby & regular bee sizes & in a variety of sterling silver, yellow or rose-gold-plated, & solid gold, there is a size & price point for everyone Thinking I was definitely going for the baby bee, turned out it was the bigger bee that came back across the pond with me.....and let's just say I have received a TON of compliments from UK & US strangers alike. It's a very wearable & fun piece of jewelry & a fantastic memory of our latest visit to London

I've ordered some items from Alex Monroe and have been very happy with them. Recently, I needed to contact Customer Service for assistance and received a response that was above and beyond anything I might have hoped for. So, in addition to my high regard for the artistic quality of Alex Monroe jewelry I should like to add praise for their integrity in standing behind the quality of their work. As an aside, like the previous reviewer I also discovered Alex Monroe through the necklace bee worn by Lesley Sharp while binge watching the Scott and Bailey series.
