Alexander's Cafe

This was my first time visiting this location, and I have to say—it was a great experience! Our waiter, Tailor, was the best—so nice and pleasant. He checked on us often to make sure we didn’t need anything. Truly top-notch service! Toward the end of our meal, two supervisors stopped by to check in, and they were just as friendly and welcoming. Do I recommend this place? YES, in all caps! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service made it even better.

*Vegetarian* Must try the cranberry pecan pancakes, super delicious! Great place for brunch, with a very unique take on the omelette, i really loved it and thought it was great for vegetarians (*They say they use farm fresh eggs and not liquid eggs). Portions are more than sufficient, and the roasted potatoes are a must try. I’ll have to say, disappointed in the coffee. For a place with fresh eggs, fresh fruit juices and really tasty food, they did not have a proper espresso machine so the quality of my cappuccino was subpar.

Enjoyed Alexanders Cafe for the first time and had a very delicious breakfast that was made even better by the friendly service and bubbly atmosphere. This is the kind of place where you want to become a regular! Excellent food with delectable seasonal offerings and the best coffee!

I've eaten almost all the brunch places in and around Elgin, none of them come close to Alexander's. Never had a bad meal, never had bad service. If youre looking for textbook breakfast food you'd be hard pressed finding a place better than this. Their crepes, definitely, cant be beat.

Food was EXCELLENT. I love they they have an additional option instead of just the shredded hashbrowns. Love the roasted potato. I had the biscuit love and it was so good. The chicken tenders with it were juicy, fried, tasty, deliciousness. I tasted the turkey sausage that came with my friend's avocado toast, and it was the best turkey sausage I've ever had! HAS to be homemade. Highly recommend this place. The service was wonderful, as well. If your server was at another table, other staff members would check on you too, in case you need anything. Very efficient and friendly.

Food is ordinary nothing spectacular. I ordered The Mexican Omelette and the eggs and hash browns tasted dry. Service was good. You have to wait for a long time for the food. But the waitress was very nice and attentive. Atmosphere was nice. There's something about those windows I liked. I've eaten at many other restaurants but I don't know why I liked their windows! 😂

Very nice restaurant. Big and very elegant waiting area with fireplace. Hostess station is right in front of the door. Food is very good. Nice size serving. Bathroom even have mouth wash with little disposable cups. Have kids menu.

Huge portions!! I also come from Texas, so it's nice seeing restaurants outside of Texas giving very generous amounts. I got the Cali omelette, and it comes with a side of potatoes (herb roasted or hash browns) plus a side of pancake or toast (I got the gluten free pancakes and it was pretty good, and I've tried a lot of different kinds).
